Lifan X50: owner reviews with photos, characteristics, disadvantages. Lifan X50: owner reviews with photos, characteristics, disadvantages Active and passive safety service

Lifan X50 2018-2019 is a new car released by the company of the same name in 2018. When examining this car, it is extremely difficult to understand which specific manufacturer it was produced by.

When creating this vehicle, Lifan engineers and designers adhered to a unique concept based on modern, most popular crossovers. As a result, we managed to recreate a car that could easily surprise anyone, even the most picky car enthusiast and specialist.

The car appeared in Russia in the early summer of 2018 and to date has already collected many positive reviews from owners. In fact, every owner of this vehicle emphasizes the positive qualities of the car, for example, reliability at low cost, and is happy to recommend the car to other people for purchase.

As is usually the case, the configurations and prices of the 2018-2019 Lifan x50 are directly related to technological, technical and design features. That is, the new Lifan, more loaded with additional options, has a higher price than a car with a minimum number of extensions.

There are three modifications of the Lifan x50 2018-2019. These include:

  • Comfort – from 559 thousand 900 to 594 thousand 900 rubles;
  • Luxury – from 599 thousand 900 to 634 thousand 900 rubles;
  • Luxury CVT - from 639 thousand 900 to 674 thousand 900 rubles.

It is important to note that the Lifan X50 is a car whose cost is directly related to the year of sale. Thus, until the end of 2018, Lifan x50 can be purchased at the minimum price indicated above. From January 2019, this vehicle will be sold without discounts, at the maximum price also indicated above.

Among other things, we can note the reviews of the owners, which are, for the most part, positive. They say about the car that it is quite capable of satisfying the needs of the driver and passengers, at extremely low cost.

Functional

It is not difficult to guess that one or another functional feature of the Lifan X50 is directly related to the configuration and can significantly affect the price tag. However, in the case of this car, even a basic modification can fully satisfy the wishes of almost any consumer.

In the basic Comfort assembly, the user is provided with the following extensions:

  • ISOFIX child seat anchors;
  • three-point seat belts for front and rear row passengers;
  • immobilizer;
  • comfortable headrests in the rear and front seats;
  • system alert about an open hood, trunk and doors;
  • automatic door locking while driving;
  • automatic unlocking of doors in case of emergency;
  • automated brake force distribution EBD;
  • traction control systems (ABS+TCS);
  • steering column with injury protection;
  • "Children's lock" that blocks the possibility of opening the rear doors.

In general, each of the above functions is intended solely to assist the driver in operating the vehicle and ensure the safety of all people in the cabin while the vehicle is moving. As for extensions that increase the level of comfort, not all options are present in the basic variation.

Comfort

Inside the car, in the basic version, there are a large number of different extensions. As a rule, the top version includes every basic part, combined with an even larger number of options.

The interior of the new Lifn X50 contains the following elements:

  • modern audio system with support for CD/MP3 formats and the ability to connect portable devices via AUX and USB;
  • front center armrest;
  • folding backrest of the rear sofa;
  • central locking with remote control;
  • ashtray and cigarette lighter;
  • gas tank cover with the ability to unlock from the passenger compartment;
  • special lighting for passengers and driver;
  • electric windows;
  • heated and electronically adjustable side mirrors;
  • air conditioner;
  • height-adjustable steering column;
  • system

As you can see, this car provides almost all the functions that the driver and passengers need, and this is just the basic equipment, which can be purchased at a minimal price from an official Lifan dealer in Russia. There are also extended versions of Lifan x50, supplied in extremely similar equipment, but with some, partly significant, changes.

Add-ons

Depending on the assembly, with the exception of the basic modification, the 2018-2019 Lifan x50 may contain additional functions. You can purchase a car with such elements at any dealership for the appropriate price.

Each Lifan x50, with the exception of the basic variation, can have:

  • heated front seats;
  • multimedia navigation system with touch screen;
  • rear view camera.

It is also important to note that, unlike the basic version of the car, the Comfort package does not have a standard audio system. Instead, the car is equipped with more advanced “music”.

Reviews from Lifan x50 owners about the additional functionality of this vehicle deserve special attention. As a rule, in all cases it is noted that even the top version of a car, which has an immodest set of functions, does not require large financial outlays. The corresponding photos will help you study the appearance features of the Lifan x50.

You can explore additional options by watching a video test drive of Lifan x 50 on the Internet.

Specifications

First of all, the dimensions of the new car deserve attention. This crossover has an extremely spacious luggage compartment of 570 liters, which can be expanded by folding the rear row seats up to 1480 liters.

The wheelbase of this car is 2550 mm, which certainly guarantees a sufficient amount of free space for passengers.

Power

It’s worth mentioning right away that to find out in detail which engine is installed under the hood of this car, you need to carefully look at the review of the Lifan x50 2018-2019 model year. You can also independently test the Lifan x50 for technical characteristics, if possible.

Under the hood of the Lifan x50 there is a power unit that provides the following indicators:

  • working volume – 1.5 liters;
  • power – 103 horsepower;
  • torque – 133 Nm;
  • fuel type – AI 95, gasoline;
  • number of cylinders/valves – 4/4.

As you can see, for a crossover, the engine of the new Lifan demonstrates very immodest power that can surprise car enthusiasts.

You should also pay attention to performance indicators:

  • maximum speed – 170/160 km/h (5MT/CVT);
  • average fuel consumption – 6.3/6.5 liters (5MT/CVT).

Depending on the modification, the car can be equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission (Comfort/Luxury) and a CVT (Luxury CVT). As a rule, a manual transmission provides more dynamics, but makes it more difficult to control. Despite all this, the motor always remains unchanged.

In terms of a better understanding of the features of the Lifan x50, a test drive of this car will help.

Notes

Due to the fact that this car has already been released in Russia, it is extremely easy to buy spare parts for the Lifan x50. However, in case of breakdowns, it is recommended to contact a car service center, as only professionals know where and what part should be installed.

A detailed description of this car can be found on the official website. You can also study the exterior of the car there, which each corresponding photograph will help with.

On Lifan x50, the price and each technical characteristic are fully consistent with each other. Thanks to this, every customer who buys a car leaves positive feedback.

Having bought a new Lifan and written a review, as a rule, every owner of the model x 50 whose club was created quite a long time ago automatically becomes its full member.

The Lifan x50 model passed the crash test with exceptionally good final results. To see the quality for yourself, it’s worth looking at the corresponding review of the Lifan x50.

The manufacturer positions the Lifan X50 as a “youth crossover” made “in the European style,” but in fact, it is, objectively, “a hatchback raised above the ground with off-road accents.”

This “compact crossover” was first publicly demonstrated in the spring of 2014 – at the home auto show in Beijing. Already at the end of August 2014, the Chinese company Lifan Motors held the “Russian premiere” of this “SUV” - as part of the International Auto Show in Moscow. And in 2015, Lifan X50 reached Russian showrooms of official dealers.

The car looks interesting and modern, and its appearance fully corresponds to the concept of the brand: the front part is woven using X-shaped lines, the rear part is U-shaped, and the stylish optics fit perfectly into the overall appearance.

The dimensions of the SUV are 4100 mm in length, 1540 mm in height and 1722 mm in width, while the wheelbase is allocated 2550 mm, and the ground clearance is very respectable - 208 mm. When equipped, the X-50 weighs 1,175 kg.

The interior design of the Lifan X50 is fresh, but not everyone will like it. The instrument cluster is sportily placed in “deep bells”, and the central position is given to the tachometer with a red background. The three-spoke multi-steering wheel houses the audio system control buttons, and the center console is given over to a trapezoidal “music” control unit and a modest “microclimate” panel.

It is expected that the interior of the Chinese crossover for the Russian market will be made of inexpensive and pleasant plastics, diluted with silver inserts imitating metal. The front seats of the Lifan X50 have a flat profile and poorly developed support on the sides, the rear sofa is designed for two people, but even judging by the size, one can understand that a third one will be superfluous.

The Lifan X50's arsenal includes a small cargo compartment with wheel arches protruding inward and a fully foldable backrest of the second row of seats. True, a flat floor does not work, and the final volume is not impressive - only 570 liters. There is a spare tire under the raised floor.

Specifications. For the Chinese SUV Lifan X50, only one engine is offered - a gasoline “four” with a displacement of 1.5 liters (1498 cubic centimeters), producing 103 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 133 Nm of maximum torque at 3500-4500 rpm.

In tandem with the unit, a 5-speed “mechanics” or a continuously variable transmission is available, generating all the thrust to the front axle. In the first case, the Lifan X50 is capable of developing a peak speed of 170 km/h, consuming an average of 6.3 liters of fuel in mixed mode, in the second - 160 km/h and 6.5 liters, respectively (acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h is unknown).

The X50 crossover shares the platform with the 530 Celliya sedan and has a classic suspension design for its class: MacPherson struts on the front axle and a torsion beam with anti-roll bar on the rear axle. An electric power steering is integrated into the steering mechanism of the car, and the braking system is represented by disc devices on each wheel with ABS, EBD and BAS technologies.

Prices and configurations. On the Russian market, Lifan X50 2016-2017 is offered at a price of ~560 thousand rubles. The basic package offers the following list of equipment: a pair of front airbags, an ABS system, 15-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, a factory audio system and basic electrical accessories.
The “top” version is offered at a price of ~600 thousand rubles and “additionally flaunts”: the ESP system, a multimedia complex with a color display, navigation, a rear view camera, leather trim, full power accessories, six airbags and much more. You will have to pay an extra ~40 thousand rubles for the CVT.

The new Lifan X50 crossover was presented to the public in the spring of 2014 at the motor show in Beijing, and in August of the same year the Chinese brought the all-terrain vehicle to the Moscow International Motor Show.

The company from the Middle Kingdom did not delay the introduction of the model to the Russian market - the first cars appeared in the showrooms of local dealers in the summer of 2015. Note that the production of the Lifan X50 for Russia was established at the Derways enterprise in Cherkessk.

Exterior

The Lifan X50 2017-2018 SUV in a new body has a fairly dynamic image with a cute “face”. Looking at the latter, a bumper with a large trapezoidal air intake catches your eye. It is possible that the Chinese “spied” such a design solution on the Ford EcoSport.

Also worth noting at the front is the presence of a laconic radiator grille, the shape of which resembles a bird spreading its wings and large wide-angle headlights. At the same time, black plastic linings, which are present on the front and rear bumpers, as well as on the sills and wheel arches, are designed to emphasize the all-terrain appearance of the new model.

In profile, the new Lifan X 50 is somewhat reminiscent of the Opel Mokka (there are similar curves of the front pillars and door frames). Additionally, it is worth noting the presence of two-color roof rails and broken lines of stampings on the rear doors, which are especially noticeable on cars with bright body colors.

As for the stern, comparisons with the Kia Sportage arise here. At the rear of the Lifan X50 there is a compact tailgate and horizontally oriented teardrop-shaped two-section lights. A single round exhaust pipe can be seen from under the bumper, and the wheels are fitted with 15-inch alloy wheels from the factory.

In general, the image of the Lifan X50 is a kind of hodgepodge, but the manufacturer managed to avoid complete copying and maintain a certain balance, so the crossover looks quite stylish and youthful.

Once inside the cabin of the new Lifan X 50, many are surprised to note the presence of leather seat trim on the budget model, but hard and loud plastic, which is used everywhere, brings it back to earth. However, the interior itself has a rather nice design.

The dashboard deserves special mention. It has an unusual layout, in the center of which there is a single dial. The latter combines the functions of a speedometer and tachometer, and there are electronic screens on either side of it.

From the outside, such a device looks impressive, but its practicality raises a number of complaints. Thus, the red backlight and background “hit” the eyes at night, and the readability of the instruments is at a low level: it is extremely difficult to notice the red tachometer needle against the same background.

In the base, the SUV is equipped with a simple audio system with four speakers, the screen of which again comes with a red backlight. More expensive versions of the Lifan X50 come with a full-fledged multimedia system, the functionality of which can be controlled both from the touchpad on the center console and from the three-spoke multi-steering wheel.

Characteristics

Being built on the basis of the Lifan Celliya sedan, the Lifan X 50 pseudo-crossover reaches a length, width and height of 4,100, 1,722 and 1,540 mm, respectively, and the car’s wheelbase is 2,550 millimeters.

The curb weight of the hatchback is 1,150 kg, while the Chinese say that the car is based on a high-strength body with programmable deformation, which more effectively distributes impact energy during collisions.

The suspension design is quite standard: classic McPherson struts are used on the front axle, and a semi-independent torsion beam is used at the rear. Disc brakes are installed on all wheels. The high ground clearance of 185 mm allows the car to feel confident on rough terrain.

By default, the trunk volume of the new Lifan X50 is 280 liters. If necessary, the backrests of the rear sofa can be folded into the floor - then the capacity of the cargo compartment will increase to 1,480 liters.

The model's line of power units includes only a 1.5-liter gasoline engine developing 103 hp. at 6,000 rpm and 133 Nm, available in the range from 3,500 to 4,500 rpm. The SUV can be ordered with either a five-speed manual or a continuously variable transmission.

Lifan X50 is sold exclusively in front-wheel drive. According to the passport, it takes 11.0 seconds to accelerate from zero to hundreds of cars. The maximum speed of a car with a manual transmission reaches 170 km/h, while the version with a CVT is slightly slower - 160 km/h.

Price in Russia

The Lifan X50 crossover is sold in Russia in two trim levels: Comfort and Luxury, which can be equipped with an Off-Road option package. The price of Lifan X50 2019 in a new body varies from 689,900 to 794,900 rubles.

MT5 - five-speed manual transmission
CVT - continuously variable transmission

In terms of external characteristics, the Lifan X50 is similar to an expensive SUV from the world's best companies, down to the millimeter. This expensive appearance of the model was created thanks to the increased ground clearance. Another highlight that harmoniously fits into the design concept is the optics, made in the modern “angel eyes” style, like those of popular BMW models. The bumper geometry is very clear and streamlined, giving the Lifan X 50 more European style.

The rear view of the car is very neat and slightly smaller than the front. This effect was achieved thanks to a successful design solution with the insert of a U-shaped cargo compartment door. Lifan X50 is the best option for those who love stylish and clearly defined modern cars.

New interior in Lifan X50

If you listen to the reviews of those who have already bought the Lifan X50 crossover, then Chinese developers have done a great job of changing and improving the interior trim of the car. The most successful and noteworthy part was the dashboard, which is designed in a bold, sporty style using recessed buttons. The tachometer with a red background perfectly emphasizes the modernity and aggressiveness of the model, and the steering wheel has acquired such a convenient innovation as audio control buttons.

In addition, the new crossover is very roomy and comfortable in both the front and rear seats. The cabin can accommodate 4 to 5 people. The volume of the luggage compartment was 570 liters. The rear seats can be folded down easily, allowing for more trunk space if necessary. So we can say with confidence that the price of Lifan X 50 is completely justified.

Economical fuel consumption

6.3 l., less than Geely Emgrand X7 (8.6 l.) and Brilliance V5 (7.2 l.)

The Lifan X50 reached Russia in 2015, after ceremonial displays at the Moscow Motor Show. What interesting things can be said about this car, you will find out in this review. The car is really interesting in terms of its equipment, and even appearance.

The concern itself positions its brainchild as nothing less than a mid-size crossover. In fact, the only difference from the crossover is the increased ground clearance, and the base itself and the body are from a regular hatchback. That is, this is a simple hatchback that is too raised.

The technical characteristics of the Lifan X 50 are modest, more details about them will be below, also there you will find information and a description of the configurations and their cost. At the end, a detailed review will be presented for the Lifan X50.

As already mentioned, there is no point in considering the new product from the point of view of a crossover, because this is an ordinary hatchback, so we’ll talk in this regard. The car is stylish, one might even say that it’s youthful, the design is made in a European style, which cannot but please domestic buyers who are so tired of poor Chinese cars.

Lifan X50 is already really more like its competitors from Europe. Better quality metal, and, in general, the manufacturer claims improved safety measures.

The front of the Fifty X reveals a huge air intake grille. The optics, both the main one and the daytime lights, are provided with modern features, a pleasant shape, and overall they look good. The bumper is two-ton, with a so-called plastic body kit, which subsequently envelops the entire perimeter of the car.

The silhouette is more modest, with barely visible wheel arches and fenders that have received a bit of volumetric structure. There are stampings on the doors in the form of two non-converging ribs. By the way, they proposed a new design for the discs; the concern had never demonstrated anything like this before.

The rear is taut, and this is where it is confirmed that the car has nothing to do with crossovers. The design style of the stern itself does not correspond in any way to the appearance of large cars. Retracted optics, a small trunk lid that occupies only half of the entire rear space.

The only thing is that the bumper received a significant plastic body kit, made of really strong material, so it is quite possible that an off-road foray will be successful. By the way, an interesting feature: while the wheels look great from the front, the rear wheels seem small due to the raised stern.

Interior

Photos of the interior clearly remind us of the similarities with American models intended for the European market, specifically Focuses. In principle, the architecture is successful, there are minor shortcomings, but still it is “Chinese” and that says it all. In terms of quality, design, and comfort, the manufacturer was pleasantly surprised; the plastic, although hard, is pleasant to the touch, and most importantly, not creaky.

Dashboard in a sporty style with double-sided illumination. One main “well” receives all the attention. It displays tachometer information through a mechanical unit, and speed recording occurs through a small monochrome computer “inscribed” in the middle.

The steering wheel is also copied from Fords, huge in size, massive block, it’s a pity that they didn’t provide a couple of keys, with them the interior would have looked more attractive and presentable.

The central part is dominated by an angular design style. A small on-board computer in a visor rises above the panel itself. Below it there are a couple of deflectors, followed by the main section with a radio.

The “weather” remote control is located at the very bottom, at the level of the gearshift lever, with a full set of “washers” for climate control. There is no central tunnel as such, there is only a “box” handle and a “handbrake”.

Seats with a pleasantly shaped backrest that perfectly envelops the body due to well-thought-out lateral support bolsters. There is enough space for three passengers in the back, the only thing that will be uncomfortable for the legs is due to the low placement of the seat cushion itself. The luggage compartment is modest, even with the rear row seats fully folded, you won’t get more than 570 liters of volume.

Specifications

Lifan 50 receives modest technical specifications; only one power unit will be available on the Russian market. The manufacturer, for a long time, could not decide which engine to install in the new product; there was a choice between 100 horsepower and 150 horsepower.

So what engine is on the Lifan X50? This question was answered back in 2014, when the concern declassified all information on the car. The power unit will be a 1.5-liter gasoline unit with a performance of 103 hp. and 133 Nm. A 5-speed manual or CVT is offered in tandem. The fuel consumption (gasoline) of the X50 will be 6.5 liters in a combined cycle.

Regarding the electronic component of the Lifan X50 2019, we should expect the appearance of a new EPS system; it is not known in what specific configuration it will be presented, most likely a top-end one. In the “base” there are traditionally only ABS and EBD, as well as electric power steering. There will be more opportunities only at the top.

The suspension is noticeably improved compared to similar models from the company. Due to the increased dimensions for this platform, it was necessary to reconfigure the levers, since the ground clearance became a little higher.

In general terms, the suspension remains classic for this segment. It’s just a pity that they won’t be able to offer a “multi-lever” at the rear, instead there’s a regular torsion bar with cross members. Oddly enough, spare parts and basic components for the car can be picked up from other models that are placed on the same “cart”.

Options and prices

For the Lifan X50, the choice of configuration and price for the current year is available in two main versions.

The minimum price for the 2019 Lifan X50 will be from RUB 560,000. Among the features of the initial configuration, it is worth noting the appearance of an electronic assistant BAS, in addition to the standard ABS and EBD.

In addition, the “base” sports an electric amplifier, air conditioning, factory “music”, power accessories, casting (larger), a couple of airbags and power mirrors.

Top equipment priced from RUB 600,000. will be supplemented with ESP, multimedia, navigator, four more pillows, camera, leather interior, heated mirrors, seats, parking sensors.

In addition to each configuration, a CVT is provided, for which you will have to pay an additional amount of about 40,000 rubles. It is worth saying that the box is modernized, it was worked on in a joint Austrian-Chinese bureau, so there should be no serious complaints about the work.
