Rockland car tunnel how to get there. Pass from Jada Marks' cabin

Is it possible to sneak into a subway tunnel undetected? - we asked Daniil Davydov, a Moscow expert, historian and digger with many years of experience.

It is almost impossible to get into the metro from the street, because the ventilation and cable shafts have long been securely closed with volume sensors, motion sensors, and are also equipped with an alarm system. But many people use access to the tunnel through the station portal. That is, behind the tail car they go down onto the rails or climb over the end door, which is not always closed or the “craftsmen” have special master keys. This is often done directly in front of video camera lenses. They climb right up the signaling cables at the UKPT - tunnel intrusion control device, wait for the next train behind the transformer and go further to the service connecting branches.

-The entrance to the tunnel is controlled, all penetrations are recorded.

If the alarm does not work at the UKPT, then most likely no one will look at the monitors. Cunning guys know how to approach so as not to fall into the control system's coverage area. This is what they use regularly at central metro stations. Not long ago, standing on the China City platform, I saw three guys climb out of the tunnel through the end door. These were not workers, because specialists are prohibited from appearing in the tunnels during traffic movement. These were the so-called pseudo-diggers, because a real digger is, first of all, interested in archeology and Moscow studies, and not in some kind of destructive activity.

-How are they not afraid of the contact third rail, which is under high voltage?

The voltage there is 835 volts. The contact rail is covered with an ebonite casing; if you don’t touch it, nothing bad will happen. Deep round stations have additional space in which transformers are installed, behind which the attackers hide so that the driver does not see them from the cab. There are places to hide there, these are intertunnel junctions, exit chambers, service and connecting branches, ventilation shafts, and cable collectors that go into cable shafts. Hooligans are often caught, but sometimes they are not caught.

At the site of the train crash, a branch under construction branched off from the main tunnel. In your opinion, could an outsider get through this object?

It’s unlikely, alarm systems are now quite cheap and can be found everywhere. Metrostroy is a fairly closed organization. But, on the other hand, an outsider could put on overalls and mingle with the workers. There are many services operating in the tunnels. But previously, as far as I know, it was quite difficult to get from the Metrostroy sites to the operating lines. The metro is still an object that is guarded and monitored.

-Is it possible to get into the metro tunnel from the open tracks of the depot?

This is unlikely. Usually there are police officers sitting in booths in front of the portal. Pseudo-diggers are mainly picked up through metro stations. The train arrives, the crowd gets off, the crowd gets on. In the commotion, who would pay attention to two or three hooligans who quickly jumped over the end door and disappeared into the tunnels?

the task is to get into the Rockland highway tunnel and the pointer is on the cetodel and when I approach the tunnel the lock is closed and it is impossible to break into it, what should I do except tcl

Completing Broken Steel quests | Topic author: Laurette

MAIN QUESTS

Death from the sky

The quest is completed simply. You wake up in the Citadel, two weeks after the purifier was launched. During this time, the Brotherhood managed to greatly torment the “little kids of Eden,” but they do not play honestly - they still keep in touch and act together. Disorder! Elder Lyons and Scribe Rothschild bring you up to date and send you to a meeting with paladin Tristan, the temporary commander of the Brotherhood's strike forces. As planned by the command, the mission was supposed to be the simplest - come to the gathering place, help Liberty Prime defeat the Enclave forces, finish off the survivors, find the source of the radio signal.

When you're ready, hit the road. Your destination is the Rockland Road Tunnel, in the southwest of the Capital Wasteland. A warrior of the brotherhood is already waiting for you at the entrance and invites you to enter. We pass a small corridor, talk to Tristan, listen to his orders on the way to the exit. Going out into the street we see a touching picture - Prime proudly strides from behind the hill, incinerating the enclaves with his laser and exploding them with bombs. You and a small squad of paladins follow him and provide microscopic support. Having cleared the area, the robot moves on to the second stage - infiltrating the enemy base. There is no door, but the thug doesn’t need them, because a bomb explosion and a blow to the wall work better than any master key. But, in every barrel of honey there is definitely a fly in the ointment. Prime reports an air attack and orders all personnel to retreat. Better obey, because in the next second our steel giant will take a shower from the most powerful orbital rockets. Everyone is in shock, Tristan is angry, Liberty's head continues to conduct anti-communist propaganda. You and a small detachment are sent inside the base to find the reason for this “failure.” Then we simply follow the Brotherhood squad, occasionally shooting weapons and picking up the first samples of the Gehenna Power Armor. Your goal is a supercomputer, and to your greatest joy the arrow points to it. We approach, download the data, leave the premises through the kindly provided exit and return to the Citadel. We listen to the angry and upset Rothschild, and report everything to Lyons. He will direct us to Tristan, but this ends the quest successfully. We rejoice at the received OO and prepare for the next mission, which is no longer a “warm-up”.

Pavel (Nitalekshana)  High price (Electricity charges)

Description

We speak with Tristan, he already has an assignment for you. He sends you to Old Olney to find a Tesla transformer. This device is the Brotherhood's only hope of regaining a technical advantage over the Enclave. If you ask Tristan for help, he will direct you to one of the scribes - she has a device for controlling the death claws. It is useless for this task, but having this device in your inventory, all death claws with unusual devices on their heads will go over to your side. It's a small thing, but nice.

Walkthrough

Now prepare - take stronger armor (the same “Gehenna” or another power one), or get ready to hide in the shadows and absorb stimulants in batches. The weapon, accordingly, is more lethal. In the Old Olney sewers you can pick up Prototype Medical Power Armor, so you won't be left naked. Now let's get down to business.

You can first test the device on a deathclaw not far from the city, but the beast dies when it is too far from the Enclave camp, so there is no point in going there. To complete the task, it is better to immediately head to Old Olney. First we pass the streets, shoot the death claws and go down into the sewer. Find (if you haven't already found) the Medical Power Armor Prototype (after going down into the sewer, turn left), then follow the marker. We get out of the tunnel and find ourselves in Wilson's complex. There we will be met by two optimistic ghouls who will tell their sad story and run away, but we have no time for that. The building is in ruins, it is inhabited by death claws, so we save often, move from floor to floor and look for a large hall with a broken roof. There we hear the sounds of a rotorcraft and see the Enclave soldiers coming to the light. We remove them and enter the power plant. Here we will be greeted by robotic guards and turrets with a laser show. If you see a locked door, don’t take your eyes off it - it may well open and make you happy... But it won’t make you happy, you’ll just get hit in the back by the turrets. Another trap is the “green” room, where the radiation level is just off the charts. We pass this corridor and look for a room with electrical currents. We jump (or go down) to the source of the discharges. There will be fuses around the coil itself (on the walls), which should be turned off in advance, otherwise you will get a painful electric shock. Take a coil (transformer), and at the same time you can look for alien energy cells in laboratories. Exit through another door kindly provided by the developers and return to the Citadel to the paladin Tristan.

Pavel (Nitalekshana)  Divide and conquer

Paladin Tristan has one last important mission - to strike the final blow against the Enclave, and for this he needs to get to the train that will take the hero to Adams Air Force Base. This is the last slap from the Brotherhood, so don't worry, the bad guys in power armor will continue to terrorize the unfortunate wasteland.

Walkthrough

Enter the Presidential Metro:

The first part of the task is to get to the White House. If you haven't found it yet, then go to Subway (any) => Metro Center => Pennsylvania Avenue => Services. At the White House we are met by Super Mutants and a squad of brotherhood. There are several ways to enter the Presidential Metro:
at the Pennsylvania Avenue location, Service manhole;
in the Pennsylvania Avenue location, in the crater on the site of the White House, the Service door; door inside the Capitol building - opens from the Presidential Metro.

Find access to Adams AFB

In the underground you can find several ammunition for energy weapons and, most importantly, EMP grenades. They will help you cope with the robots rampaging through the subway. To stop them being hostile, find MARGO's computer and talk to her. From the dialogue it will become clear that a certain ill-wisher (a crowd of wild ghouls) has entered the subway and is resisting.

(Optional) Eliminate hostile elements infiltrating the Presidential Metro

Enter the next room and help the robots fight the ghouls. If you have a ghoul mask, then put it on and fearlessly overcome the subway. Having found the train, you find out that it is not working properly. Look around and find the sparking fuse panel. To fix it, you need a fuse.

Option one:

Find the nearest robot security guard (big, black and on three legs) and knock his brains out (or whatever he has...). Search the wreckage, take the fuse and repair the shield. Be careful, all the robots will be offended by you for the death of their brother and will attack! Now get on the train and enjoy the journey...

Option two:

Destroy all the ghouls, then MARGO will send a repair robot, he will repair the electrical panel himself and you can immediately go to the base. In this option, the robots will remain friendly.

Pavel (Nitalekshana)  Pick up orders and equipment from the container marked “Supplementary Supply”

As you exit the Adams Air Force Base subway, you will be greeted by an Enclave patrol. After exchanging pleasantries, we go out into the street and follow the marker to the small “Supplementary Supply” box. Paladin Tristan sent you this as a gift:

Micronuclear battery (50)
Orders - holodisk
Tesla Cannon (Turrets)
Electronic charge (50)

After you get the cannon, the Pip-Boy will for some reason glitch (an obvious bug) and all the markers will be lost.

Find an access terminal that allows you to lower the mobile platform ladder

Go to Adams - control tower (the tall tower that stands in front of the force fields), go to the top and through the terminal activate the ramp of the Enclave Mobile Base.
If you still want to fight, then you can run across the roofs of buildings in search of artillery consoles (one on the building near the rotorcraft platform, the second on the barracks opposite the exit to the control room), arrange a colorful genocide for the enclave members and, if it’s still relevant, collect loot. In addition, the hangars have several cages with death claws, and you must have a control device. Therefore, you can hack terminals, open cells and watch how the claws of death tear the Enclave scientists to shreds.

Login to the Enclave mobile base

Under heavy fire from the Enclave, cross the space to the ramp of the Enclave Mobile Base that you lowered. Most likely, you are already impressed by this miracle of Enclave engineering, but there are more goodies inside than in the three previous missions! Do not try to clear the entire territory, Enclave soldiers will respawn endlessly. It's better to immediately run to the ladder.

Destroy an Enclave mobile platform with orbital weapon fire

Once at the base, we see stretched force fields. They are removed in three ways: we approach the console, a menu appears where you can simply hit the console (you will be hit by an explosion), turn off the field (Science) or blow it up (explosives). This turns off all force fields on the base. We go inside, turn right and look for mechanic Stiggs. This is a kind fellow who is ready to give up the Enclave with all its giblets, just to get away. We listen to him (especially the part about robots) and release/kill him, depending on your character. If we let go, he activates his robots Hoover and Sparky and leaves. There are two ways to go upstairs from the first floor:

North - bedrooms
- South - deathclaw pens

We go up to the next hall - the pearl of this base. Now our goal is two Enclave Security Service officers (outwardly indistinguishable from the Enclave Officer), from whom we need to take away the access cards. The resistance you will receive is the most impressive, which is worth the “Sigma Squad” alone. But may Science be with you, the opportunity to release the claws of death and reprogram the robots. Look for a room with several supercomputers - with access cards you can: open the door to the next location (required!), reprogram the robots (disable them or, if you have the Robotic perk, force the robots to chase the Enclave), and also open the door to the armory. A good hacker, in addition to the Precise Gatling Laser, can also profit from an Alien Blaster, and also find several alien energy cells for it. But, it’s time to get down to business - we go out onto the roof (the inscriptions on the walls diligently lead there to the launch pad), where rotorcrafts flock like bees to honey and the Enclave stormtroopers land. With a sufficiently developed Heavy Weapon skill, the Tesla Cannon will help you get rid of rotorcraft in one or two shots. Now you need to enter the Satellite Control Center, located at the southern end of the platform and find the terminal. Now comes the interesting part...

Pavel (Nitalekshana)  Open the terminal and see the targets - Megaton, Rivet City, Project Purity, Citadel, Mobile Base.

Option A is good. Select the Mobile base option and confirm self-destruction. Now we go out onto the roof, where Sarah Lyons meets us (if she survived the mission “Take him!”) and invites us to board a captured rotorcraft. We accept the offer, fly to a safe distance and admire the view of the Mobile Base, which is being watered by orbital rockets. We get into the rotorcraft again and fly to the Citadel. We are heroes again, everyone loves us, Tristan and Rothschild have an endless job for you to collect all sorts of junk and hunt mutants, and we also receive our premium OO.

Option B is evil. Select the Citadel and molt. We will also be dropped off “where we need to be,” but only instead of a warm welcome we will be branded an enemy of the people, the Brotherhood will turn away from us, all that will remain of the Citadel is a crater in which you can find the entrance to the armory, where you can pick up a lot of high-quality loot and you can also find a pistol, which lies right in the center of the crater that remains from the Brotherhood base.

Destroying all five targets will not work (the engines and charger of the satellite are damaged), you have only two options - Mobile Base or Citadel.

Leave the Enclave Mobile Platform

We exit through the upper door.

Climb aboard a captured rotorcraft

We get into the rotorcraft. You can't move inside, but you can turn your head. A short flight, we disembark, admire the explosion, and climb back. For a change, we are seated on the other side, but we can see even less.

1500 OO
±1000 Karma

Possible bug: in the first part of the task, the marker points to the door to the Presidential Metro inside the Capitol building. The door will open only after electricity is supplied from inside the Presidential Metro. Option - after completing the additional part of the task (Optional) Eliminate hostile elements that have entered the Presidential Metro.

Starting from the second part of the task, in the Wasteland, the marker shows the route as if you were on the territory of Adams Air Force Base. The cure is unknown.

There may be a bug: after taking the Tesla Gun, the marker will become confused and display incorrectly. It can be cured by rebooting, but taking into account the above-mentioned bug.

Additionally

Alas, you will never return to the Enclave’s Mobile platform anyway, so option B is not suitable for those who simply want to take out all the treasures in “two passes.”

Pavel (Nitalekshana)  SIDE QUESTS BROKEN STEEL

Holy water

Description

Scribe Bigsley complains to us that Megaton constantly lacks water and asks us to find out what the problem is. In front of Megaton, we watch a scene of Rose giving water to a beggar who always sits in front of the entrance to the city. “Oh, what wonderful fresh water!” - he says and dies... Rose is perplexed, she says that this holy water was given to her by a man from the Monastery of Eternal Light, and he also gave her a leaflet (if you make a quick transition to Megaton itself , then this leaflet can be removed from the main gate of Megaton). A marker for a monastery located near Springvale appears on the map.

Walkthrough

There Brother Gerard is already waiting for us, who immediately offers to try their “miracle water”. We cannot convince him that water is radioactive and dangerous. And in order to get inside, he said, we must receive a certain dose of radiation. This can be achieved with radiation of 200 units and a high eloquence skill, or one hundred percent with 400 units. We get the key, go downstairs and watch the picture of a crazy old woman enlightening ghouls... Convincing her that all this only harms people is not an easy task even with high eloquence skills. On the contrary, she wants everyone to turn into ghouls. You can also declare that “I am the Prophet of Atom,” to which she will answer that that prophet is brighter than the sun, etc. And then a crazy idea should come to us! Fortunately, there is another radiation emitter in the basement along with, oddly enough, friendly wild ghouls (Defender of the Atom is quite tenacious). We turn on the emitter and bring our radiation level to 800 units. Again we go to the crazy old woman, and this time she recognizes us as the Prophet Atom, promises to return the water to Megaton and stop all her affairs.

You can just take out the moles to Brother Gerard, take the key, go down to the basement, kill everyone there and return to Scribe Bigsley.

Notes

You can also damage both radiation emitters (in the yard and in the basement) and deprive the crazy old lady of her material base.

Pavel (Nitalekshana)  Protecting caravans

Scribe Bigsley tells us that some kind of “organized bandit group” is robbing caravans with water going to Rivet City and directs us to Officer Lepelletier (who can also start the quest), who clears up the situation a little. Having received our consent to help, she sends us in pursuit of the departed caravan. Having caught up with him, we find several bodies of bandits, a dead Brahmin and battered officers, who immediately run to report what happened to Lepelletier (it may turn out the other way around, the bandits are alive, the officers are dead). In one of the corpses of the bandits we find a holodisk on which One-Eyed Jack talks about their plans and the meeting place, where we will actually go. The meeting place is the Wilhelm Freight Station, where the bandits and their leader rest. After talking with him and telling us the correct password, he gives us metal armor and a helmet. For further conversations we need to put on this armor.

Blow everyone's brains out.
- Say that water is already free, and no one will pay for its protection (a high skill of eloquence is required). The bandits will leave and you can return to take the quest (the bandits can kill Granny Sparkle if she is nearby).
- Challenge One-Eyed Jack to a duel, after victory the bandits declare that they do not need the boss, but they will agree to guard the caravans for a certain fee, and they will take us as a share. (before you challenge Jack to a duel, take your companions a little further away and order them to wait; if they interfere, all the bandits will attack. Also, during the duel, you cannot bring weapons or equipment, otherwise the bandits will become aggressive).

Arriving at Officer Lepelletier, we also have to choose from several options:
- Say that the leader has been killed and there will be no more attacks.
- If we defeated One-Eyed Jack, we can offer “protection” on behalf of the gang for 200 caps a week, or say that for 500 caps there will be no more attacks.

In the first option, Lepelletier sends you to Bigsley for the reward. If you choose the second option, you receive a reward, bad karma, and end the quest.

Pavel (Nitalekshana)  Great Healing Water!

Walkthrough

A certain ghoul Griffon appears in the historical museum, selling medicinal water, and not just selling, but putting on a whole show. After the conversation, you can buy this very water from him for 10 caps, or, with the proper level of eloquence, get a bottle for free. With the help of Pip-Boy, we learn that this is just ordinary radioactive dirty water, which we immediately tell the ghoul about. But this does not matter to him (with a high level of eloquence in a ghoul, you can find out the truth). We have to take everything into our own hands and get to the bottom of the truth. We run to Bigsley, who is drooling on the keyboard in the Jefferson Memorial, after some questioning it turns out that he knows nothing about this fraud and is just supplying the ghoul with water for the caps (by the way, the quest can also be obtained from Bigsley). Now we have a mark on the map indicating the museum management building. There are several ghouls in the building who do not pose much of a threat; in the basement we find a holodisk with a recording of Griffon, where he gives instructions to his charges. So, there is evidence, we run back to the historical museum and poke the holodisk in the face of the arrogant ghoul...

You can ask him to sell his fresh water, but he will still pass it off as medicinal.
- You can force him to admit to the ghoul spectators that this is all a deception, then they will kill him and take his place.
- You can take 300 caps and go home.
- You can receive your share of bottles sold once a week. The more eloquent, the greater the share.

Neither option affects karma.

Pavel (Nitalekshana)  UNMARKED QUESTS

Fatal Attraction is an unmarked quest in the Fallout 3 expansion Broken Steel. Translation option: "Fatal attraction."

Holodisk "Forgive me, my dear"

The task begins with the discovery of a holodisk in the Presidential metro line. Forgive me, my dear. The message requests that he be taken to the Maisons-Beauregard Hotel.

The holodisk lies not far from the exit to the Capitol, on a bench.

Hall Maisons-Beauregard

In the Maison-Beauregard hall you will be met by the raider Screw - an aggressive person with a level one and a half times higher than yours. You can only kill him. On the body, among other things, there is Screw's Note - a reference to another unmarked task, Grady's Package. According to the text, it becomes clear that this is the second of the nighties that disappeared along with the courier's package. If you did not find the holodisk, I'm sorry , my dear, there will be Super Mutants in the Maisons-Beauregard hall

The suitcase is in the hall of Maisons-Beauregard, on the billiard table. Inside is the Revealing Pajamas.

Pavel (Nitalekshana)  Super Mutate Blood Samples (unmarked quest)

The task becomes available after completing the main storyline of the add-on. Paladin Tristan will ask you to kill super mutants and bring him samples of their blood. It's simple - for each sample you get 50 caps and 10 experience points. You can find samples in the super mutants you killed.

Pavel (Nitalekshana)  Repair of Liberty Prime

The task also becomes available after completing the main storyline of the add-on. Scribe Rodschild intends to restore the robot Liberty Prime, destroyed by the Enclave's orbital laser. Rodschild will ask you to bring him cameras to restore Liberty Prime's optics, as well as sensor modules. The laboratory also contains Prime's remains, including his head.

Your path to Prey may be blocked by locked doors that you cannot go through without a pass or code. In this article you will find all the information about where to find this or that pass or code, and also learn how you can sometimes do without it. By acquiring new skills, which you can read about in a separate article, you expand the list of available options and workarounds.

Neuromods Department

Simulation Lab Pass

In order to enter the Talos 1 lobby at the beginning of the game, you need a pass from the simulation laboratory. In the same office space as the locked door, find Sylvain Bellamy's office and take the pass from his desk.

There is a second way at your disposal - to climb through the service hatch, which is located to the right of the door, almost under the ceiling, if you stand facing the door. You will be on the other side, and no pass is needed.

Code for the security booth in the neuromod department

The security booth is located in the lobby of the Neuromods department on level 2. You passed by it at the beginning of the game, but at that time you could not get there. The same applies to the code from the security booth. You will only be able to find it later, when you return to the neuromod department with some task. The code is indicated on a note lying near the corpse of Davia Naaz, which hangs on the railing opposite the entrance to the neuromod department from the hall of Talos-1.

Volunteer cabin code

The Volunteer Quarters are located in the Neuromod Department on Level 3. You can reach this level by using the gravity lift in the Neuromod Department lobby, which is in need of repair, or by building a makeshift staircase with a gypsum cannon on the wall in the same lobby.

As for the code for the volunteer cabin, you will receive it by reading the first email on Bianca Goodwin's personal terminal. It is located in her office, located next to Morgan Yu's office in the Talos-1 lobby on level 3.

Holden Graves' office pass

Holden Graves' office is located on the fourth level of the Neuromods Department. There are two ways to get to it. First: hack the main entrance to the production department on level 3, for which you will need the Hacker 4 skill, then proceed to the production hall and take the gravity lift to the fourth level. Graves' office will be just opposite the gravity lift. The second way is to enter the production department through the service tunnel, which begins in Haskins' office in the department with volunteer cabins. Climb through the service hatch located behind Haskins' desk, climb the higher pipes and exit at the fourth production level. Exit the room through the window and go to Graves' office on the same floor.

You can find the pass from Holden Graves' office from Frederick Steele, whose corpse lies not far from the gravity lifts on the third level in the production hall.

Talos 1 Hall

Pass from the security office

The security office is located on Level 1 of the Talos 1 concourse near the shuttle bay exit. More precisely, there are windows from this office for communication with clients, and the entrance inside is near the stairs leading upstairs, in particular to Morgan Yu’s office. You need to proceed into the passage with the inscription “Security”, where you will subsequently run into a locked door, for who needs a pass. Read below for information on where to find it, but you can do without it. You can get to the security office through the ventilation; to do this, you need to climb onto the yellow pipes going above the door and crawl along them to the end.

You will find the security office pass on level 2 of the Talos-1 hall in the IT department security service. It lies in the area of Steve Folson's workplace. And look in the cabinet on the wall, there is a neuromod and a chip for the suit. Read about other neuromods.

Interrogation room code

The security office has an interrogation room that requires a code to enter. The code is written on a sticky note and attached to the desk lamp on Sarah Elazar's desk in the same room as the entrance to the interrogation room. Inside you will find the corpse of Demetri Bowser and his note, after reading which you will receive the additional task “Stolen Neuromods”. You can read about the location of neuromods.

General admission pass from the psychotronics laboratory

The “General Entrance” pass is primarily required to enter the Psychotronics Laboratory, a new location. However, this pass does not fit one door, but several at once. Let's figure out which ones.

The pass approaches the door leading, relatively speaking, to the reception area of the psychotronics laboratory. It is located on level 1 of the Talos-1 hall, near the elevator. You can get there without a pass, but to do this you need the Huntress dart launcher. Break the window near the nearby terminal and shoot a dart at the terminal to unlock the door. And then the pass will go to the next door leading to the foyer of the psychotronics laboratory, with a sign “For laboratory personnel only.”

And ultimately, the pass is necessary for the main door to the psychotronics laboratory, after passing through which you will find yourself in a completely different location.

However, that's not all. The General Admission Pass also works at or from the door leading into or out of the Sales Office located on Level 3 of the Talos 1 Lobby. You could have gotten to the sales department earlier, through a different route, but with the pass you will have more freedom.

You will also need a pass to get into the office space, located on the landing with the sales department. It has glass windows in the floor that provide access to the IT security department, located on the second level of the Talos-1 lobby.

Receiving the General Entry Pass occurs in the story when you have completed the Through a Glass Darkly quest and met January for the first time. He will actually give you this pass.

Code from the IT security department

The IT department security office is located on level 2 of the Talos-1 hall. We cannot say where to get the code from, but we know the code itself: 0913. There is also an alternative way in: through the service room located a level higher. Use the General Entry pass to enter, which you can read about above, and break the floor windows to drop down into IT Security.

Emergency room pass

The emergency room is located on level 2 of the main hall of Talos-1. The additional task “The Disappearing Corpse” can lead you there, and in the emergency room there is a security terminal with a list of all Talos-1 employees, which may be needed to find one of the personnel.

The pass from the emergency room lies on a counter with a huge sign “Transtar” located in the center of the main hall of Talos-1. On the left and right sides of it are stairs leading to the upper floors.

You will find another pass from the emergency room in Bianca Goodwin's office, on her desk. This office is located next to Morgan Yu's office on level 3 of the Talos 1 hallway.

Quarantine code

The fact that you managed to get to the emergency room does not mean that you will be able to explore it entirely. For example, in order to enter the quarantine zone, you will need a door code.

You can find out the quarantine code by reading the third letter “Subject in quarantine” on the terminal of Matthias Kohl, whose office is located right there in the emergency room.

Pass from Hendrik Devries' office in the emergency room

Hendrik Devries's office is located on level 2 of the Talos 1 lobby in the emergency room, and you will need a pass to get there. But that’s not all; a pass will also be needed to enter the emergency room itself. Read about where to get it just above.

You will find the pass from Hendrik Devries's office on him, or rather on his corpse, which lies on level 4 of the Talos-1 hall near the main elevator, where the transition to the arboretum location is also located.

Pass from the “Restricted Drugs” room

The emergency room, located in the Talos 1 lobby on Level 2, is very large. In it you will find several locked rooms, including the Restricted Drugs warehouse.

After you find him using the security terminal, it turns out that he is flying in space, and you can only see him through the window. Go to the mechanical workshop of the hardware laboratory, and then, having unlocked the gateway, into space. Following the mark, fly up to Dr. Lorenzo Calvino and take the pass from him from his workshop, do not forget the transcriptor, since the records on it contain a code for the storeroom of the mechanical workshop.

Machine shop storage room code

The machine shop is located on level 1 of the hardware lab, with a storage room at the very end near the telescope. A code is required to enter it, but you can still find yourself inside without it. You just need to somehow climb onto the roof of the storage room and crawl through the hatch. There is already an improvised lift on the side, made by a gypsum gun, but if you choose it, you are guaranteed radiation sickness due to increased radiation.

The code for the machine shop storage room can be obtained from the email in the "Prototype Testing" terminal located on level 2 of the hardware laboratory in the office area. You will find the terminal password in a note lying on the floor near the table.

The code can also be obtained by listening to the audio recording of “First thing tomorrow morning” on the transcriptor of Dr. Lorenzo Calvino, who flies in space next to the owner’s corpse. The Blackbox Lab is located in the Wave Physics Lab on Level 2 of the Hardware Lab. And getting there is not easy. In addition to the fact that you need a pass, you need to secure access to the wave physics laboratory.

First of all, you need to restore normal gravity in the corridor in which the entrance to the wave physics laboratory is located. Fly into space through the nearest airlock and get to the hole in the hardware laboratory. The corpse of Dr. Calvino, whom you need to find as part of the story mission, can serve as a guide for you. Near it there is a door control panel that you need to fix. Repairing the door will restore the corridor and give you access to the wave physics laboratory, where the entrance to the Blackbox laboratory is located.

Now let's deal with the pass from the Blackbox laboratory. You will find it in Josh Dalton, whose body floats in the SAGITT. First of all, mark his name in the security terminal. Then go to SAGITA and fly to the cargo tunnel. Where it forms a T-junction with the service tunnel, you need to choose the direction towards the cargo bay (at the sign “Cargo Bay”). Pass from the psychotronics laboratory morgue

The morgue of the psychotronics laboratory is located on level 1, and you can go down there by gravity lift from the examination department, where you had to complete the experiment in order to get to SAGITT.

A pass is required to enter the morgue, but one unlucky employee forgot it at the morgue itself, which you can find out from the email in the terminal. Therefore, in order to get to the morgue you have 2 options. First: wait for the operator engineer, who makes a flight according to the schedule every half hour, which is also written in the terminal. And the second: break the morgue window and try to hit the button that unlocks the door with a Huntress dart launcher. Well, the pass itself lies on a gurney in the morgue and is virtually useless.

Code from the arsenal in the psychoronics laboratory

The Psychotronics Lab has an armory on Level 2, located in a room called Raw Materials Processing. To get inside you will need a code or the Hacker 3 skill. SAGITT

Service tunnel code

During your journey through SAGITT, in the transition level area, you will come across a door leading to a service tunnel and requiring a code. You can bypass this door through the ventilation shaft. Look around and find a large spinning fan, stop it with the GYPSUM gun and swim through the small hole, thereby bypassing the door.

However, the code for the service tunnel is not difficult to find. It is with Kimberly Bomo, whose corpse is floating not far from the door, in the area of the accumulation of cystoid nests.

Service tunnel pass

When moving from the service tunnel to the cargo tunnel, you will need a pass, which, according to the note attached near the door, is located with Anders Kline in the magnetosphere control room. This location is located near the locked door.

After you explore the new location a little, it becomes clear to you that Anders died due to an accident in the magnetic compartment (behind the glass where the magnetosphere spins), and now his corpse is floating there. Accordingly, to get a pass, you will also have to go to the magnetic compartment. To make things easier for yourself, you can hack Laurel Davis' terminal if you have the Hacker 3 skill and turn off the magnetosphere for a while. If you don't have the hacker skill, then just act quickly.

Fuel storage pass

The SAGITA freight tunnel forms a T-shaped “intersection” with the service tunnel. If you fly in one direction, you will end up in the arboretum (Arboretum), and if in the other direction, you will find yourself in the cargo bay (Cargo Bay) and in the fuel storage facility. Everything is written on the signs. You don't need a pass to enter the fuel depot, but there is a staff room that requires a pass from the fuel depot. You can find it on Brittany Lavelli's corpse, which lies nearby.

About how they penetrate the St. Petersburg metro tunnel. They discovered that the subway tunnel can be accessed directly from the carriage of a stopped train. To do this, diggers use train stops at closed stations. This opportunity arises due to a design flaw in these stations - the absence of “tunnel intrusion control devices” or UCPT. According to the authors of the video, the lack of UPKT is a serious problem for the safety of the St. Petersburg subway, which they tried to draw the attention of the metro management to. A Dialog correspondent talked to one of the diggers and a representative of the metro to find out how and why extreme sports enthusiasts illegally explore the subway, and what other security system flaws can be found there.

Initiation into Diggers

The author of the video, digger and blogger Dmitry Ivanov told the Dialog correspondent about his underground career. According to him, he started digging at the end of 2014 under the influence of the book “Metro: 2033” (post-apocalyptic novel by Russian science fiction writer Dmitry Glukhovsky - Dialog news agency).

“After reading it, I wanted to become the hero of the novel, Artyom, who walks along the deserted sections of the metro. I started by trying to infiltrate Metrostroy’s facilities. I wasn’t very good at it: I didn’t know how to do it, how to get there. None of the more experienced diggers wanted to take me, but since I had a VKontakte group that touched on the topics of root and dig, I found like-minded people there who explained some theory to me, and, armed with knowledge, for the first time with a friend who also I had never been on the metro before, so I went to the Sportivnaya station,” says Dmitry.

“Then they were building a second exit there, there was a blue fence. We bought special clothing at the store—orange vests—and arrived at the station before closing. There are paths on one side and not on the other. We jumped down there and climbed over the fence that separated the construction site of the second exit. To our surprise, when we climbed there, we saw that the second exit to the travelator tunnel had not yet been built. But there were two cameras there, and we realized that they would come for us. We entered the ventilation system, which is located behind the station. We hid there. Someone tried to look for us, but they couldn’t find us. As a result, at 1:30, when the tension on the contact rail was removed and the lights were turned on so that the workers could pass, we went back down, went out to the station, and simply walked along the tracks into the tunnel. The tunnel intrusion control device was turned off because workers were walking around there. Luckily for us, no one noticed us. We walked to the Chkalovskaya station, then returned to Sportivnaya and got out,” the digger shares his memories.

Now, as Dmitry says, there are few diggers in St. Petersburg, and in Russia as a whole there are fewer of them after fines were increased in 2016. Today there is a second generation of diggers, but, according to Dmitry, they “don’t stick their noses in” beyond Metrostroy; they are afraid to go down to the metro, because there is no one to explain and show how to do it. According to Dmitry, there are no more than ten real diggers left in St. Petersburg.

Dmitry, according to him, knows about the structure and terminology of the metro thanks to communicating with other diggers and reading relevant literature. “I’ve never worked in the metro and I don’t work. I obtain information from open sources. Now there is no preparation for sorties. The preparation was the first time, when we didn’t know or understand anything, but when you already know everything, what to prepare for? Just take it and go. Everything is known and understandable. In fact, even if the object is new, the same principles apply there,” he says, adding that he prefers to make forays with “trusted people.”

“We don’t cooperate with other companies. I have my own, my trusted people. Sometimes there is a desire to set someone up. Mostly I drive girls. There has been less and less interest and drive lately, now that I’ve already climbed everything. Only if I go to some new object,” concludes the digger.

Security flaws

The tunnel intrusion control device, according to the blogger, is not installed at closed stations. These are mainly stations on the “green” line, where doors separate passengers from the train. The installation of UKPT was not foreseen by Soviet engineers, since they did not expect that in the future someone would engage in digging and penetrate the tunnels out of interest. Therefore, as shown in the video, it is possible to get there by simply jumping out of the back door of the carriage while it is stopped.

“Yes, I am aware of this problem,” Dmitry Kurdesov, head of the public movement “For Security,” told Dialogue. “We paid attention to this. Now [in the metro] investigations are being carried out, an inspection is underway. Technical means are being installed,” concluded Kurdesov, adding that he knows nothing about the details of these events.

The diggers themselves say that with their videos they want to draw the attention of the metro management to shortcomings in the security system. “There is a goal to point out to metro workers their shortcomings. Especially when it comes to passenger safety. Now a lot of money is spent on this. Motivated by security costs, they increase travel prices, install a bunch of metal detectors and X-ray scanners, but terrorist attacks continue to be committed,” Dmitry complained.

He also shared another flaw that an attacker could take advantage of: if a person enters the station with a backpack or large bag and goes directly to the escalator, metro workers ask him to go to the scanner in order to scan his hand luggage for dangerous items. If the same passenger with the same bag first rushes to the ticket office located behind the guards, and only then to the turnstiles, then his things will not be looked through.

“I believe that the videos we are making will hit the metro on the nose, and they will be corrected due to the resonance in the media,” the blogger concluded.

The press service of the metro, in turn, stated that all the control points are working and there are no safety problems. “Those who commit intrusions earn points for themselves by attracting attention through social networks, risking their lives,” said press secretary of the St. Petersburg Metro State Unitary Enterprise Yulia Shavel.

“Everything in our metro is in order, and everything works in accordance with the standards. Where they [UKPT] should stand, that’s where they stand. There is an alarm in the cabin,” she added, advising to send an official request for more detailed information. “Dialogue” sent a request, but at the time of publication of the material, the metro did not respond to it.

About laws and police work

There are quite large fines for illegal entry into the metro. In particular, according to paragraph 2 of Article 20.17 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Violation of the access control regime of a protected facility,” the fine ranges from 75 to 200 thousand rubles or administrative arrest for up to 15 days. However, diggers manage to bypass them.

“It happened that we were detained both in the metro and at Metrostroy facilities. If we are talking about the metro, then fines used to be 500-700 rubles, it was not difficult to pay them and go on a walk. Now the fines have been increased: now it is from 75 to 200 thousand rubles or administrative arrest. Therefore, everything is very difficult in the metro now, we try not to take unnecessary risks. The fine for Metrostroy was also raised - from 3 to 5 thousand rubles. But cases under paragraph 1 of Article 20.17 [“Unauthorized entry into a duly protected facility”] are considered not by the court, but by the police. The police do not know the laws very well and commit many procedural violations, unlike the court. In 99% of cases, their decisions can be appealed in court, so we don’t pay fines.” In particular, police officers may make mistakes when drawing up a protocol on an administrative offense and its consideration. In the decision to consider the offense, the police must write a motivation part, in accordance with paragraph 6 of part 1 of Article 29.10 of the Code of Administrative Offences. If they do not do this, then the opportunity arises to appeal the fine.

The press service of the metro told Dialog that they do not have reports and statistics on how often diggers penetrate objects and how often they are caught. They added that anyone can come on a tour in the metro. “We have career guidance where you can meet people, go to the depot site, learn about professions and personnel. [The classes] are taught by professionals, driver-instructors. Our [St. Petersburg Metro] Museum is wonderful. The website has all the coordinates and telephone numbers. However, it is impossible to get into the tunnel,” the metro said.

After the video appeared on the Internet, in response to this, a message appeared on the Metrostroy public page on VKontakte (it is unknown whether it is official) fast: “Thank you for your attention to our objects. You help us in our work on information coverage of the metro construction)) But: any work must first of all be safe for yourself. We know this firsthand. Therefore, in the future, do not be lazy, write to us. And we will be happy to ensure the safety of your visits!”

The blogger tried to get on such an excursion by calling the press secretary of Metrostroy, but her employees replied that she was now on vacation, and there was no way to get to such an event yet. Dialog also failed to obtain comments from Metrostroy; the company’s press service did not answer the phone.

St. Petersburg digger Alexey Stepanov(name changed - approx. ed.) over two years committed more than 50 illegal entries into the metro area. The young man explored all the tunnels, secret passages and secluded corners of the St. Petersburg subway. He even illegally bought a subway employee uniform and ID so as not to attract attention to himself. The young man saw stations under construction, abandoned tunnels and secret objects. Despite his disguise, the digger was repeatedly caught by the police and was fined.

Recently, penalties for diggers have been toughened, and now you can get a real prison sentence for illegally entering a subway tunnel. The threat of imprisonment forced Alexey to give up his forays into the subway. The young man has not walked through the tunnels for several months, but still remembers that time with nostalgia: “I can’t convey that unforgettable feeling when you walk alone through an empty metro tunnel,” admits Alexey. “This has its own charm!”

I wanted to become the hero of a novel

For the first time, St. Petersburg resident Alexey illegally entered a metro tunnel two years ago. Before that, he was not attracted to extreme entertainment, such as walking through abandoned houses or protected sites. Alexey’s desire to secretly sneak into the subway appeared after reading the book “Metro 2033”.

“I was very impressed by this work,” says the digger. “I wanted, like the hero of the novel, to walk alone through the tunnels, to experience the romance of the unknown life of the metro.”

To get into the metro tunnel, the St. Petersburg resident decided to consult with experienced diggers: they shared some information, but no one explained exactly how to get into the subway - the more people illegally enter the metro, the easier it will be to identify and detain them.

The young man thoroughly prepared for the sortie, including purchasing special clothing and obtaining a fake subway employee ID. Alexey and his friend managed to get into the metro only on the fifth try. Stepanov and a friend hid in a shelter during the construction of one of the stations, and after the metro closed, they went out and made their way into the tunnel. That night the diggers passed one station along the stretch. Alexey liked this little adventure so much that he decided to repeat it again.

“The most difficult thing is to convince employees that you belong”

Over the next two years, he illegally entered the metro area more than 50 times. From his own experience, the digger learned more than 10 ways to penetrate the subway tunnels. Alexey climbed into the subway both day and night. Each such foray was accompanied by a great risk - not only of being caught, but also of dying. “During the day, the tunnel is powered and there are trains running that you can get under,” explains the digger. “At night there is a higher chance that metro workers will catch you and hand you over to the police.”

According to the digger, there are many interesting objects in the metro. Photo: From personal archive

In order not to get run over, after the train had passed, Alexey tried to run as quickly as possible to the break or shelter. If he didn’t fit in three minutes, he climbed onto the “banquette” in the tunnel - a device like a curb. So he won’t be hit by a train, but the driver is guaranteed to notice and inform the guard. Then they will start looking for the digger, and it is better to get out of the metro. Stepanov warns: not everyone can be a digger. With the sound of an approaching train and the light of headlights, you can be so scared that you fall into a stupor and cannot escape anywhere. In this case, a person walking along the tracks will die under the wheels of the train.

There are no less risks at night. When the metro is closed to passengers, workers carry out technical maintenance of the tunnels. They may be vigilant and ask for documents. Often, a fake ID did not help, and the digger was handed over to the guard. As Alexey himself admits, even running away from a train is not as difficult as outwitting the metro employees: workers often stop strangers and check their documents.

Game for adults

Alexey assures: getting into the St. Petersburg metro is much more difficult than getting into the Moscow metro, and, therefore, the process becomes much more exciting. “There are many interesting objects in the metro,” says the digger. “I’ve been to stations under construction, in abandoned tunnels that turned out to be unnecessary, I’ve seen aerial installations, USHs - the so-called universal drifts: large blocks in which bomb shelters should be placed in case of war.”

At night he made his way into the subway alone, and during the day he sometimes took friends with him: at this time there was less chance of being noticed by subway employees. During the night, friends could walk half the city underground: according to the digger, traveling on the subway never got boring, and after one outing, they wanted to make the next one as soon as possible. “It’s addictive and captivating, like a quest,” says the digger. “This is a kind of game for adults: calculate everything, change into the clothes of a metro worker, illegally sneak into the subway, run away from the train, deceive the employees, evade the police and achieve your goal.”

Former diggers are not hired

Alexey was caught by metro employees at least 10 times: it was not always possible to outwit the workers. At first, for illegal entry into the metro they were simply fined 300-500 rubles, later the cost of the fine increased 10 times and began to be accompanied by arrest for 15 days. A few months ago, the punishment was further tightened: now diggers face criminal liability and imprisonment. This innovation forced Alexey and other diggers to stop illegal travel on the subway. “It’s a shame that such amendments were adopted,” he sighs. “Although I understand the state, it acts for the benefit of society: purely theoretically, diggers can work for terrorists and plant explosive devices in tunnels.”
