The new Explorer 2020 is expected to be developed on the same platform as the Lincoln Aviator. Most likely, the model will be rear-wheel drive (but, for sure, an all-wheel drive version will also be available to buyers). The latest CD6 modular platform was created for front-wheel drive models, but Ford is expected to use a different variant.

At an automobile exhibition in China, the concern presented a new Ford Explorer 2020 dressed in camouflage. But this “wrapper” did not prevent us from seeing that the updated SUV has a smoother design than the current version.
