The turbo engine is equipped with a direct fuel injection system and phase shifters at the inlet / outlet. The naturally aspirated engine has two camshafts (phase shifter on the intake shaft), multi-point injection, electronic throttle, timing chain drive.
Modifications with the "aspirated" HR16DE are equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The 117 hp version can also be mated to Jatco's Xtronic CVT. The car was created on the basis of the Qazana concept, presented in 2009, built on the Renault / Nissan B platform. The exterior design of the Nissan Juke can have both fans and opponents, but we can safely say that it will not leave anyone indifferent.
Extraordinary solutions of designers found a continuation inside. The sporty aesthetic is also present in the interior: in the form of seats, a center console stylized as a motorcycle fuel tank, a dashboard equipped with two optitronic instrumentation wells, and contrasting trim (black with red or black with gray) of the cabin. The interior space is not spacious, but at the same time, not only those sitting in front, but also the rear passengers do not feel offended.

The engine is equipped with a direct fuel injection system (increases power and torque, reduces harmful emissions), a turbocharger and an intercooler (allows you to achieve high peak power and torque), as well as a continuous variable valve timing mechanism that controls the intake and exhaust valves (provides high torque throughout the rev range). Friction-reducing technologies are used in the engine parts (carbon-coated valve lifters, "mirror" surfaces of the camshafts, ceramic-coated piston rings). The turbocharged engine is available with a 6-speed manual transmission or Xtronic CVT-M6 CVT with manual shifting. In the basic configuration, the car is equipped with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine. 117 hp, which is available with both a 5-speed manual transmission and an Xtronic CVT variator. For the European market, a diesel engine with a working volume of 1.5 liters, a power of 81 kW (110 hp) and a common-rail system is offered. This power unit provides the Juke with excellent dynamics thanks to its impressive torque (240 Nm) and is characterized by good fuel efficiency and low exhaust emissions.
The car is equipped with either front-wheel drive or ALL MODE 4X4-i all-wheel drive with an advanced TORQUE VECTOR torque transfer system. This system improves vehicle handling and reduces understeer in curves. Along with the redistribution of torque between the front and rear axles in a ratio of 50:50, this system distributes it between the wheels of different sides. As for the front-wheel drive modifications, they come with MacPherson struts and a rear “H” suspension with a torsion beam and control arms. All-wheel drive versions are equipped with a multi-link rear suspension, similar to the design of the Nissan Qashqai.

In the base Visia, the crossover will receive 16-inch steel or alloy wheels, in the Acenta and Tekna versions - 17-inch alloy wheels of various designs, as well as optional 18-inch wheels.

A small trunk was one of the few, but significant, shortcomings of the Juke in the early years of production. Nissan tried to fix this by changing the shape of the trunk, but only in the front-wheel drive version of the crossover. Now its volume is 354 liters.
