Driving refresher courses. Extreme driving courses for women. Automobile and motorcycle club of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation

Why do you need defensive driving courses?

Highways are known to be a high-risk area.

Almost every driver has a chance to get into one or another extreme situation. No one is immune from this in our time. It is almost impossible to predict the reaction and behavior of a person who finds himself in an extreme situation in a car. However, you can avoid the negative consequences of an extreme situation on the road. It all depends on the level of training and experience of the driver. Special driving courses in extreme situations will help you gain confidence and peace of mind on the road. The emergency training school at AMK FSO offers its services in improving the level of driver training. Upon completion of our emergency driving courses, the student will be prepared for any emergency situation on the road.

At the same time, I would like to separately note the fact that

we do not teach extreme driving as recklessness
, which in itself is a threat to the life of the driver and other road users around him. In our emergency training center, the main emphasis is on safety, on how to avoid emergency situations! Here you need to clearly understand that defensive driving is a set of specific measures aimed at reducing the risks of road users.

“Counter-emergency training” course program

Students with completely different levels of training come to our safe driving training center. In this regard, there are several training programs on emergency driving, which are aimed at specific target driving groups. We work not only with novice drivers, but also with professionals who want to improve their driving skills. Our emergency training courses will be useful to everyone in this regard.

A one-day program has been developed for novice drivers, the goals of which are: increasing the level of technical skill of the trainees; familiarizing students with the basic technical techniques of driving in various driving situations; providing students with the opportunity to independently assess their ability to drive a car in various driving situations. The program consists of both theoretical and practical parts.

The theoretical part of the program includes: the concept of professional excellence, its components and opportunities for improvement; correct landing, its advantages, choice and control; consideration of the most common mistakes made by drivers with little driving experience.

  • The practical part consists of exercises of varying complexity.
    For experienced drivers, we provide both a winter program of emergency training courses (from November to April) for front-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive vehicles, and a summer program (from May to October).
    Winter training period (from November to April):
    Program for front-wheel drive cars - training duration is 2 days (8 hours).
    – features of driving a front-wheel drive car on slippery roads;
  • – effective techniques for increasing controllability and stabilization of a front-wheel drive vehicle;
    – feel, cause and stop the skidding of the rear axle and the drift of the front axle of a front-wheel drive car as early as possible;
    – emergency maneuvering techniques in a front-wheel drive vehicle.
    Program for rear-wheel drive cars - training duration is 4 days (16 hours).
    The goals of the program are to teach the driver:

    – feel, cause and stop the car from skidding as early as possible;
  • – brake confidently without losing control, incl. urgently, on a slippery road;
    – feel, cause and stop the skidding of the rear axle and the drift of the front axle of a front-wheel drive car as early as possible;
    – basic technical techniques for safe driving;
    – technical techniques for emergency braking and maneuvering;
    – maneuvering techniques, to form a “sense of size” of the car.
  • Advanced program for front- and rear-wheel drive cars - training duration is 4 days (16 hours).
    – feel, cause and stop the skidding of the rear axle and the drift of the front axle of a front-wheel drive car as early as possible;
    – improve the driver’s safe driving skills;
    – teach the driver technical techniques for emergency braking and maneuvering;
    – train the driver in technical techniques for driving a car that create comfortable conditions;
    – study the features of driving a car equipped with modern active safety systems.

    Full-fledged emergency preparation is not a cheap pleasure. However, all the skills and lessons learned will not only come to your aid in emergency situations, but will also help you get more pleasure and comfort when driving.

    A competent instructor in emergency response training is a universal teacher. In addition to direct training in driving skills, he will make you remember the laws of physics, elements of human physiology, and conduct psychotherapy. Yes, the student will have to strain his brains, step over the most natural and deep-rooted psychological barriers, but all this work will allow him to perceive the banal movement by car from point A to point B in a completely different way.

    Feng Shui

    №1. Human physiology is very important in driving a machine. The first thing the instructor will do is put the student in the driver's seat. An almost vertical position of the body and a short distance to the steering wheel - this is the racing position. However, in reality there is nothing Spartan about this.

    №2. A close position to the steering wheel is the key to maximum speed of its rotation. This is extremely important during emergency maneuvers; there are even standards for professional drivers of special services: within a certain time, you need to have time to turn the steering wheel from lock to lock a certain number of times. Even with the correct landing, you will have to practice for a good result, and if you sit incorrectly, you will definitely not meet the standard.

    №3. Only with this you can accurately lay out the trajectory of movement, be it a turn or an emergency detour around an obstacle. At the same time, the driver feels the grip of the front wheels with the road surface well. It is important not to lose such feedback when you have to turn the steering wheel at large angles. In this case, when grabbing the steering wheel, it is important to maintain the correct position of your hands.

    With an incorrect driving position, the feeling of the car will be dulled, and the driver’s actions will become insufficiently accurate. This is clearly visible, for example, when driving a snake at high speed on the site. But as soon as the instructor conveys the essence of the problem to the student and sits him correctly, the result will immediately improve.

    №4. The use of a platform under the left foot will further improve the quality of the driver’s maneuvers. At one time this became a revelation for me. During sharp maneuvers, especially with seats without pronounced lateral support and with conventional three-point belts, the driver begins to unnoticeably hold on to the steering wheel. Accordingly, the quality of work with the steering wheel drops significantly. However, if you rest your left foot on the platform, you can drive through the same snake at a much higher speed.

    Syndrome

    Human psychology is very insidious. Several seemingly natural and logical instincts of self-preservation often lead to disastrous results. For example, it is even important where exactly the driver’s gaze is directed.

    №5. No matter what skills the driver has, he will always arrive where he is looking. Under no circumstances should you focus on an obstacle while driving around it. Mysteriously, this psychological nuance forces you to perform any actions except the right ones. That is why, even on a spacious snowy area, you can always arrive at a single pillar, purposefully training or simply enjoying driving sideways!

    №6. Probably the most dangerous psychological reflex is to urgently brake until the last minute. Reducing speed as much as possible is, of course, important. However, it is also necessary to be able to release the brake so that braking does not interfere with the correct maneuver. This nuance has not lost its relevance even with the advent of exchange rate stability systems and the simplest anti-lock braking system ABS.

    When braking sharply in a car that is deprived of even the simplest electronic assistant ABS, there is a high risk of the front wheels locking. In this case, it is useless to turn the steering wheel - the car will continue to move in a straight line. ABS maintains the ability to drive a car in various conditions, but does not cancel the laws of physics. The front wheels are constantly subject to longitudinal forces (acceleration and deceleration) and transverse forces (turning). Their interaction is characterized by the Kamm circle. For example, a wheel locked during braking (excessive longitudinal force) is no longer capable of transmitting any turning force (lateral force). Therefore, even with ABS intervention, pressing the brake pedal to the floor greatly increases the turning radius. On the contrary, no assistants will force the car to fit into a turn when the car's speed is too high.

    The laws of physics that are difficult to comprehend are best conveyed to the student by the “rearrangement” exercise. It repeats the well-known “moose test”, but involves intensive braking before avoiding an obstacle. The instructor arranges the cones in such a way that it is very difficult to fit into the artificial frames. You need to act precisely. If you do not release the brake pedal before turning the steering wheel, even with electronic assistants, the car will move in a wider arc and blow off a couple of plastic stops.

    The following factors can be identified that influence the cost of driving courses:

    Trainer:

    • Experience in teaching courses to improve driving skills is important; very often you can find driving school instructors who declare to conduct classes in emergency training, having only completed similar courses in one of the emergency driving schools.
    • Experience in professional motorsport: extreme sliding at maximum speeds on a variety of different and unstable surfaces is nothing more than a real test of all theoretical knowledge in practice: there is simply no room for error. No one can teach you how to cope with emergency situations better than a teacher who regularly confirms his knowledge and skills in practice.
    • Ranks and titles: in professional motorsport, behind every medal and cup there are colossal resources. This is also the coordinated work of the entire team: mechanics, suspension tuning specialists and mechanics. These are sports cars prepared to the strictest standards and equipped with equipment that has been tested to protect the driver in the event of an accident. In addition, behind each victory there may be dozens of failures, failures, accidents and injuries. Therefore, it is not an exaggeration to say that experience in motorsport is gained through sweat, blood, scars and the most severe consequences after accidents.
    Class format:
    When choosing a school and training program based on the cost of the product, remember that individual lessons are only at first glance more expensive than group lessons. In absolute terms, during the same time of an individual lesson you will be in practical work three times more, and in the area of close attention of the trainer. An individual lesson will allow the trainer to place the main emphasis on your motor skills - the main thing that determines the quality and safety of driving.

    Area:

    At the moment, there are two autodromes in Moscow that meet the requirements for conducting classes in emergency training and extreme driving.
    Ordinary driving school sites, supermarket parking lots and public roads are not suitable for this!

    Class time:
    On weekdays from 8 am, renting a training area will cost less than at popular times on weekends.

    Automobile:
    We recommend taking classes in the car you plan to drive.
    Exceptions are children's programs, the desire to try another car to drive, an author's program on the legendary Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX, track races - in all of these cases, a car can be rented for an additional fee.

    Are there any specific driving courses for women? It would seem that all questions regarding the ability of the fair sex to operate complex equipment were answered by cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova half a century ago. Unfortunately, women in Western countries have benefited more effectively from the fruits of professional and everyday emancipation. And, indeed, today in the United States the percentage of both sexes on the road is approximately 50/50.

    In Russia, unfortunately, everything is not so optimistic. Male motorists continue to dominate, with a share of around 80%. You can still hear ridiculous statements about “a woman’s place in the kitchen.” The culprit is the traditional patriarchy of Russian society, in which women are assigned the role of “homemaker.” As a result, many Russian women agree from childhood that it is not their nature to “turn the wheel.” Hence - fears, suspiciousness and uncertainty.

    Extreme driving courses for women

    Sounds kind of scary, right? However, acquiring extreme driving skills is the most effective tool for overcoming inequality on the roads. Judge for yourself, an ordinary driving school will, at best, teach you the rules of behavior in standard situations - maintain a safe speed, perform basic maneuvers, recognize signs, markings and traffic controller signals.

    Unfortunately, if an emergency occurs, a woman (all other things being equal) has less chance of avoiding an accident than a man due to the latter’s physical advantages. However, this can be compensated for by acquired special skills! And not only compensate, but also come out ahead! Suffice it to recall the beautiful Danica Patrick, who won the NASCAR race, ahead of a whole peloton of the world's best racing drivers.

    Today, extreme driving courses for women help representatives of the weaker half of humanity feel confident behind the wheel and become not just a “guest” on the road, but a full-fledged mistress. Let's figure out what this means.

    • Counter-emergency preparation. This is the basic discipline of extreme driving courses for women, which, although it goes beyond the scope of traffic regulations, is highly in demand on public roads. Counter-emergency training will allow you to competently drive your car when a critical situation arises (a skid, a sudden obstacle), reducing the risk of it developing into a serious accident. At the training sites, emergency situations are simulated so that you learn to recognize them in advance and react correctly.
    • Quasi-sports training. This is an advanced extreme driving course for women, allowing you to explore absolutely all the capabilities of the car. In this case, techniques from rally and track racing are used (sliding, drifting...), which are not applicable on public roads. But if you want to experience a storm of emotions from driving or are planning a sports career, then why not?
    • Psychological preparation. The most important rival for a woman behind the wheel is not the road, not the car or other road users, but herself. We need to overcome all fears, insecurities and complexes imposed over decades. "inferiority" To achieve this, extreme driving courses for women place special emphasis on psychology. Ultimately, the cadet must acquire a strong belief in her abilities.
