Comparison between Nissan Micra III hatchback and Skoda Fabia I hatchback. Opel Corsa, Ford Fiesta, Citroen C3, SEAT Ibiza, Volkswagen Polo, Hyundai Getz, Citroen C2, Fiat Grande Punto, Skoda Fabia, Nissan Micra comparison test - European approach (Citroen

Car from Italy, bought in Bulgaria for 2.5 thousand euros (!) at the car market. We were looking for another car, but on that day we were not lucky - either the year was not the same, then the body, so we took the Skoda Fabia standing next to our parking lot. Just not to walk. Fortunately, the price is cheap (compared to Russia), and the condition is close to a new car. I chose with the owner of a Bulgarian car service, which had very good recommendations from friends. His help in choosing, buying and registering a car cost only 50 levs (1000 rubles), such real prices in Bulgaria (a very poor country).

Immediately after the purchase, I drove to the Skoda branded service, changed all oils, fluids, belts (including timing) and filters. All this cost about 800 euros. After that, the car ran for a year, during which it did nothing at all.

The car is reliable and unpretentious, thanks to its size it is very easy to park in the city. I have enough speakers, especially with a manual box. I am a fan of the "handle" and love the full control of the car. The machine is necessary, of course, in traffic jams, but I always try to avoid them. After the purchase, I made several discoveries: in such an inexpensive car there is even an intermittent wiper operation, which I am used to, the Isofix system for a child car seat and an on-board computer, fuel consumption, according to which in the combined cycle (traffic lights, but without traffic jams, plus out of town) is only 6-6.5 liters of gasoline. Roomy glove compartment, comfortable seats (front), easy gear shifting, lighting, pockets and other convenient little things that delight.

Strengths:

  • compact
  • economical
  • Practical
  • pretty
  • Not easily soiled (silver)
  • Roomy
  • All necessary options
  • invulnerable
  • Inexpensive

Weak sides:

  • Electrics are delicate (due to the abundance of plastic parts)
  • Small clearance (you can’t climb the curb)
  • Minor electrical problems require replacement of the entire assembly

Good time to all motorists.

Recently I became the proud owner of a Skoda Fabia of the Czech assembly. Long thought about buying a car, since the funds were about 250 thousand rubles. Initially, the choice was between Logan or Nexia. I also went into the salon and admired Grant, but after a test drive I realized that the vase was still very far from foreign cars. Therefore, I decided to opt for Nexia or Logan. But Nexia does not like outwardly, and Logan was quite expensive if taken with options.

Went with a friend to the car market, a long walk between the machines and looked, but did not like anything. After climbing on an Internet and accidentally stumbled on the sale of Fabia. Immediately liked the look. I rode it, I was pleased with the seats with support, before that there was a VAZ 2109, so I was surprised by the convenience and adjustments! I bought it for 260 thousand, the second owner in Russia. I like the build quality, although the machine is not new, but so far, when hitting bumps and pits, not a single cricket!

Strengths:

  • I consider the appearance to be an advantage and for such sizes there is enough space in the rear seats (though only for two)

Weak sides:

  • Weak engine
  • Small trunk

Review of Skoda Fabia 1.4 (Skoda Fabia) 2003

Let's start with the fact that I bought this car, one might say, by accident. Of all the models that interested me after the sale of the VAZ - 2109, I chose the Mitsubishi Carisma, Hyundai Accent, Nissan Almera (n15 5 dv.hetch), and the choice fell on the Fabia by a lucky chance. A friend of my father brought this car from Moscow (I myself live in the suburbs) and, as it were, for sale, it just fell under my price category (200-230 tr). For the sake of interest, I took the keys, sat down, started and rolled. And here's what I found to my surprise - the sound insulation is good (German), when compared with the cars listed above, the suspension is comfortable, you can't hear how it works, and it swallows holes, the interior is quite spacious, the car is obedient to drive. The only drawback that bothered me very much was the low-power motor, but still I bought it.

For the first month of use, I arranged an afterburner on this machine (probably proving to myself that there was still enough power). Friends jokingly nicknamed the Skoda "Crazy Sneakers." When summer came, I began to use the air conditioner and ... more precisely, well, well, let's go ... at first I was infuriated, then I got used to it (I began to turn it off when overtaking). In general, in September we went to Astrakhan for fishing. There are 5 cars in the cartege with me (BMW x5, Gret Vul, Nissan Patrol and 99). Before the trip, they joked about me and the driver of the 99th, they say, don’t get lost, etc. And the jeeps were lost =) I never fell behind, I just switched a little later, but the jeeps periodically began to break down: either the tie rod, or the antifreeze leaked ... In general, the Skoda never let me down, and I could drive it even to the ends of the world.

"Citroen C3"

Restyling - 2006

Country of origin - France

Citroen subcompact - the model is no longer young. In terms of handling and smoothness, it is somewhat inferior to more recent rivals. However, according to the technical stuffing “C3” is still at the proper level. So, if the car in front suddenly slows down sharply, “Citroёn” will automatically turn on the “emergency gang”. Thus, drivers behind receive a signal about emergency braking and a possible stop. And when you yourself brake hard, the “Brake Assist” system comes to the rescue. A blow on the pedal serves as a signal to the electronics that the situation is peaking. And she independently applies the brakes to the full. Similar systems are not found on every representative of a more prestigious golf class.

The front end is the same as the compact “C2”. The dashboard is one of the notable pieces of the interior. The speed is displayed on a large digital display. The fuel and temperature gauges are made in the form of luminous bars with variable height. The tachometer is also made in an unusual way: its narrow semicircular scale crowns the entire dashboard with an arc. At the same time, in terms of ease of reading information, the non-trivial Citroen instrument panel is perhaps inferior to traditional samples. Among the shortcomings, we note the tightness on the back sofa. Despite the decent dimensions of the five-door model, only children can sit freely on the second row of seats.

By default, the “C3” is equipped with a 1.4-liter gasoline engine with a capacity of 75 forces (already known from the “C2” model). This version is initially equipped with a five-speed manual transmission. It cannot be said that such a “Citroёn” is distinguished by its bright dynamics. After all, it is heavier than the single-platform three-door “C2”. For those who want more “hp” under the hood, it makes sense to take a closer look at the 1.6-liter 110-horsepower version (only comes with a “robot”). Its dynamics do not cause any complaints ... if you do not intend to participate in the race.

The base model is equipped with electric power steering, front and side airbags, front power windows, velor trim, on-board computer, ISOFIX child seat mounts, central locking. Version “C3 1.4 SensoDrive” is initially equipped with richer due to ABS, air conditioning, CD / mp3 player with steering wheel controls, electric exterior mirrors, and a cooled glove box. The 1.6-liter modification is standard equipped with fog lights, rear parking sensors, air conditioning, light and rain sensors, heated front seats and automatically folding exterior mirrors.

To buy a Citroen C3, you must have at least 390,000 rubles in your pocket. The version with the “SensoDrive” transmission will cost 79,000 rubles. expensive. Modification "1.6" is estimated from 532.000 rubles.

TO1 - from 5.500 rubles.

TO2 - from 7.500 rubles.

TO3 - from 12.000 rubles.

Fiat Grande Punto

Restyling - was not

Country of origin - Italy

Nice car. She was endowed with a stylish, spectacular appearance in the famous Italian atelier Giugiaro. The one that develops the design of Maserati supercars.

Driven by Fiat is very reliable. The car stands confidently on a straight track and until the last clings to the asphalt in the turn. In addition, the "Grande Punto" can adjust the effort on the steering wheel. In normal mode, the steering wheel rotates with a pleasant heaviness, allowing precise control of the position of the wheels. And when parking or in a traffic jam, you can press the “City” button, and then the steering wheel becomes almost weightless.

Inside is not as spacious as you might expect from a four-meter machine. In the back seat, an adult will sit, as they say, back to back. Here in the front seats you feel fine. It is worth paying tribute to the impressive range of their longitudinal adjustment - it is enough even for a very tall person. Stylistically, the interior is not as flashy as the exterior. Pretty trivial forms of the front panel, the usual, no frills, center console ... But in general, the interior makes a good impression.

The model is supplied to the Russian market with three engine options. The standard is a 1.2-liter 65-horsepower engine. For "Grande Punto" he is clearly weak. The next step is a 1.4-liter eight-valve engine with a capacity of 77 hp. Its 16-valve version produces 95 hp. This, of course, does not make the “Grande Punto” a sports car, but it can easily spoil the nerves of homegrown street racers on the “Ladas”. By the way, the top version, unlike the simple ones, is supplied not with a five-, but with a six-speed manual transmission.

The initial performance is called “Active”. It includes ABS, front airbags, power steering, power accessories, heated mirrors, central locking and audio preparation. Slightly higher is the “Dynamic” modification, which adds rear power windows, air conditioning, a CD / mp3 player, a pocket on the back of the front passenger seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, foglights and 15-inch alloy wheels. Next comes the “Emotion” modification. Climate control, illuminated cosmetic mirrors, front armrest, side airbags and curtain airbags are added to its equipment. The three-door 16-valve version is also available in the Sport package, which features an aerodynamic body kit and 17-inch alloy wheels.

The 1.2-liter version is only three-door and costs from 337,000 rubles. “Grande Punto 1.4 Active” is estimated at 374.500 rubles. This is a three-door, and a five-door model will cost 8,000 rubles. expensive. For the performance of “1.4 Dynamic” you will have to pay from 416,000 rubles, and for “Emotion” - from 465,000 rubles. “Emotional” 16-valve modifications cost from 492,000 rubles. And the “Sport” version - from 540.000 rubles.

"Ford Fiesta"

Restyling - 2005

From a driver's point of view, the Fiesta seems like an excellent car. The car willingly obeys the steering wheel, confidently stands on a straight line and tenaciously holds the road in high-speed turns. Sheer driving pleasure. The car is offered with a three- or five-door body.

Once behind the wheel, you feel at home. The ergonomics are almost perfect. All controls are located exactly where you need them, you don’t have to look for them. The soft finish plastics also deserve praise, which is a rarity for a car in this segment. But on the back sofa, there are much fewer positive emotions. First, it's tight in here. Secondly, sitting is uncomfortable. The short cushion and near-vertical seat backs make long trips for the rear passengers of the Fiesta unpleasant.

The basic version is equipped with a 1.3-liter gasoline engine (compatible only with a five-speed manual gearbox) with a capacity of 70 hp. It can only be recommended to a phlegmatic driver. The 1.4-liter 80-horsepower modification is noticeably more temperamental. This version can be equipped with a robotic version of the "mechanics" for an extra charge. At the top of the range is a 1.6-liter engine that produces 100 hp. Interestingly, as an option, it is offered not a “robot”, but a traditional “automatic”, which is distinguished by a softer gear shift.

The standard version (“Ambiente”) has a driver's airbag, power steering and audio preparation. Next in status is the “Comfort” version, which added front electric windows, central locking, and an “elevator” for the driver's seat. A step up is the “Trend” modification, equipped with additional cab lighting, chrome door handles, fog lights, body-colored bumpers and electrically heated exterior mirrors. The richest equipment is called "Ghia". In addition to the equipment already listed, it has air conditioning, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear lever, a chrome grille surround, and body-colored exterior door handles.

The “Ambiente” version comes only with a base engine and a three-door body design (from 325,000 rubles). The 1.4-liter modification is supplied at least in the “Comfort” modification at a price of 351,000 rubles. Its five-door version will cost 11,000 rubles. expensive. Surcharge for a robotic transmission - 26,000 rubles. “Fiesta 1.4 Trend” costs from 364,000 rubles, and “Fiesta 1.4 Ghia” (only comes with a “robot”) - from 409,000 rubles. 1.6-liter versions with “mechanics” cost from 390,000 rubles. With "automatic" - from 425.000 rubles.

Hyundai Getz

Restyling - 2005

Country of origin - South Korea

The external design of many Korean cars is controversial and does not always correspond to European taste. You can't say the same about "Getz". After all, German specialists worked on it, giving the appearance of a small hatchback a fair amount of elegance. Even six years after the premiere, it looks quite modern. Manageability "Goetz" can be called exemplary. The car obeys the steering wheel clearly and predictably. “Hyundai” confidently maintains a high pace of movement and allows you to boldly storm the turns. However, on uneven pavement, the joy of driving it fades. Here, the “Getz” suspension folds and transfers too hard blows to the cabin. In a word, bad roads are contraindicated for a Korean hatchback. This is also evidenced by the extremely small clearance.

The car is offered with a three- or five-door body.

Due to the decent height of the model, getting into it is quite convenient - you don’t have to bow. Finding yourself in the Goetz cabin, at first you get lost - it is unusual to see the lower edge of the windshield located a meter from the driver in a small car. The feeling of spaciousness in the front seats is so great that there is a feeling as if you are sitting in a car a class above. Thanks to the high seating position, the road is as if in the palm of your hand. No less trump card of the model is the spacious back row. Behind the back of a tall driver, an equally large passenger will calmly sit down here. Each of the halves of the back of the sofa has an angle adjustment.

The range opens with a 1.1-liter 66-horsepower gasoline engine. The “Getz” equipped with it will suit only the driver who is never in a hurry anywhere. Next comes the 1.4-liter engine (the most popular with buyers), which develops 97 hp that is optimal for this size class. It is not necessary to turn it until it rings - it pulls well even at low speeds. Of course, the flagship engine (1.6 l, 106 hp) performs even better. All versions, except for the basic one, can be equipped with an automatic transmission for an extra charge. A five-speed “mechanics” is installed as standard.

The basic version of the GL includes a driver's airbag, power steering, central locking, audio preparation. This is for the 1.1 liter version. With a 1.4-liter engine, front power windows and a full-size spare tire are added to the package. The rich version is called GLS. Its equipment includes ABS, leather steering wheel trim, “aluminum-like” pads, an on-board computer, a front armrest, a driver’s seat “lift”, and rear disc brakes. And modification "1.6" has alloy wheels in addition.

Three-door "Getz 1.1" can be bought for 292.900 rubles. A five-door will cost 16,000 rubles. expensive. A 1.4-liter modification with “mechanics” will pull at least 333,900 rubles, and with an “automatic” - 387,900 rubles. Version “1.6” is available only in the GLS version and costs from 417.900 rubles.

Nissan Micra

Restyling - 2007

Country of origin - UK

Despite the considerable age of the model, "Micra" to this day looks extraordinary. At first glance, the headlights look a little out of this world: whimsically upturned, with curved “bumps”. But they help a lot when maneuvering in tight spaces - thanks to these "nape" dimensions are more clearly felt. The car is full of sophisticated technology. Separately, it is worth mentioning active headrests and a keyless entry system to the passenger compartment and engine start. For this segment - unique equipment. Managed "Nissan" is very worthy. The car stands confidently on the road and allows the driver to fully control the situation in any driving mode.

The car is offered with a three- or five-door body.

The interior of the Micra is cramped even by small car standards. But at the same time he manages to be practical. The back seat moves back and forth like a minivan. It is very convenient: when there are a lot of suitcases, you move the sofa forward and increase the trunk, and if the cabin is full of passengers, on the contrary, you move the seat back. Throughout the cabin there are many different niches, boxes and cup holders. And under the front passenger seat, there is a box of such a size that, if desired, even a laptop can be placed in it.

The Micra is offered with two petrol engine options. The base with a volume of 1.2 liters produces 80 hp. Another engine is a 1.4-liter 88-horsepower. Both modifications are initially supplied with a five-speed “mechanics”, but versions with a four-band “automatic” are offered for a surcharge.

Basic version - “Comfort”. It is quite rich: ABS with a brake force distribution system and “Brake Assist” pre-brake, frontal airbags, air conditioning, central locking, electric side windows and exterior mirrors (they, like the front seats, are heated). The next configuration - “Luxury” - is also equipped with side airbags, climate control, active front seat headrests, an on-board computer, a radio with steering wheel control, rear parking sensors, and alloy wheels. Next in the rankings is the “Tekna” version. To the equipment mentioned above, light and rain sensors, a leather steering wheel trim, as well as a chip key (opening doors and starting the engine without a key) are added here. The top modification “Active Luxury” is supplemented with a combined interior trim (leather / alcantara), a course stabilization system, side curtain airbags, and an electric sunroof.

To buy a “Micra”, you will have to pay a minimum of 389,000 rubles. This is for the three-door version as standard with a 1.2-liter engine. The three-door is also offered in the “1.4 Tekna” version with an “automatic” - at a price of 479,400 rubles. The basic five-door modification “1.2” costs from 396,900 rubles. With an “automatic” it will cost 423.100 rubles. 1.4-liter five-doors are estimated at no less than 465,000 rubles.

Opel Corsa

Restyling - was not

Character

One of the most popular subcompacts on the Russian market, many months of queues lined up for the Corsa. The car attracts with a fresh design, an abundance of modifications and a competent pricing policy. On the move "Opel" is very comfortable. The car does not sway in corners, does not annoy with excessive noise levels and filters bumps well. But this is only on standard 15-inch wheels. On custom 17-inch rides you can’t call decent.

The car is offered with a three- or five-door body.

The interior, like the exterior, is made in a relaxed style. It is felt that the designers wanted the Corsa to appeal to young buyers in the first place. Bold forms of the front panel, unusual style of the center console, and most importantly - a fresh approach to the selection of materials. Only one finish “under the piano lacquer” is worth something. According to the set of equipment, the salon can be brought up to higher class standards. And some options are not offered for every luxury model. In particular, the heated steering wheel.

The model is supplied to the Russian market with three options for gasoline engines. The base liter engine develops 60 hp. Let's be honest, it's rather weak for the Corsa. The 1.2-liter 80-horsepower version shows itself somewhat better. By the way, instead of a five-speed manual gearbox, you can order a robotic transmission with it. The most powerful engine (1.4 l, 90 hp) is equipped with a traditional “automatic” (four-speed) for an extra charge.

Diesel engines are also available. 1.3-liter, depending on the degree of forcing, produces 75 or 90 hp. In the first case, "Corsa" comes with a five-speed "mechanics", in the second - with a six-speed.

The standard version of the Essentia is rather meager: ABS, two airbags, power steering and audio preparation. The “Enjoy” version is supplemented with front power windows, a drawer under the passenger seat, a height-adjustable driver's seat and steering column, and a central lock. The range is completed by the “Cosmo” package, expanded with side airbags and security “curtains”, air conditioning, a radio with a CD player, a piano-lacquered center console, a front reading lamp, and fog lights.

"Corsa Essentia" is supplied exclusively with a liter engine and costs 329,000 rubles. “Corsa 1.2 Enjoy” will cost 379,000 rubles, “Corsa 1.4 Enjoy” - 394,000 rubles. The surcharge for the "automatic" in the first case will be 20,000 rubles, in the second - 25,000 rubles. A 75-horsepower diesel version in the same configuration will pull 435,000 rubles. "Corsa 1.2 Cosmo" is estimated at 439,000 rubles, "Corsa 1.4 Cosmo" - at 454,000 rubles, and the version with a 90-horsepower turbodiesel - at 514,000 rubles. Above we talked about three-door modifications. For a five-door, you need to “throw” another 10,000 rubles.

Seat Ibiza

Restyling - 2006

Country of origin - Spain

Part of the VW concern, the Spanish company SEAT specializes in the production of cars with a hot character. Even the Seat subcompact “Ibiza” is able to please with perfect handling and give a lot of positive emotions during high-speed driving. The suspension is set up very competently: it allows you to keep the trajectory set by the driver to the last and at the same time does not annoy you with excessive rigidity. Even on Russian roads, the car demonstrates a very soft ride. One of the advantages of "Ibiza" is the electric power steering, which not only changes its efficiency depending on the speed of the car, but also responds to the intensity of the steering wheel. This is an important component of the high precision of the machine's responses.

The interior corresponds to the sporty spirit of the car. The center console, sportcar style, is turned towards the driver, and the instrument dials are hidden in the “mines”. Their backlight, by the way, is bright red, which also evokes racing associations. Ergonomics - on the top five. Comfortable front seats deserve special praise - you sit in them like a glove. But on the back sofa closely. According to this parameter, “Seat” is noticeably inferior to the leaders of the segment.

In Russia, "Ibiza" is presented with a 1.4-liter gasoline engine with 85 hp. This motor is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, which is distinguished by excellent precision. Such a “Seat” demonstrates quite self-sufficient dynamics. The car does not fall out of the stream and even allows you to be smart - the main thing is not to be shy about spinning the engine above 4,000 rpm.

The standard modification of the model is called “Reference”. It is equipped with a driver's airbag, electric power steering, pockets in the backs of the front seats, central locking, audio preparation. If that doesn't seem enough, it makes sense to take a closer look at the "Stylance" version. It additionally includes ABS, a second airbag, power windows, air conditioning, servo-controlled heated exterior mirrors with a “parking” function, a trip computer, a retractable cup holder in the center console, mirrors in sun visors, heated front seats and side mirrors, a storage box in the front seat passenger, headlight washer.

The cost of the car in the “Reference” configuration is 399,900 rubles. The performance of “Ibiza Stylance” is estimated at 469.500 rubles.

Skoda Fabia

Restyling - was not

Country of origin - Czech Republic

Remember the last "Fabia"? It was a small and unsightly car without pretensions. The new generation of the Czech small car is perceived radically differently. First, this “Fabia” is by no means a small car. Its dimensions have seriously increased, especially the height of the body. Secondly, the gray, forgettable appearance is a thing of the past. Now "Škoda" flaunts a very catchy design. Perhaps the most striking design element is the black-painted body pillars, which makes it seem that they do not exist at all. The roof seems to float in the air. C manageability - complete order. The car clearly obeys the steering wheel, confidently holds the road, moderately rolls in corners.

Once in the driver's seat, you understand: somewhere all this has already been met. Exactly! The appearance of the front panel is the same as that of the Roomster compact van, which debuted a year ago. They don’t look for good from good, the Czechs decided and endowed the interior of Fabia with the same design. It's only good for the car. At least some ergonomic miscalculations are not visible in it. In terms of build quality and finish, Fabia can be attributed to the best cars in the segment. In this part, it caught up with the German small cars. The rear seats are so spacious that it’s time to doubt: are you really sitting in a Fabia, and not in a car a class above? Apparently, the Czech novelty is by far the most spacious car in its segment.

The base engine with a working volume of 1.2 liters produces 69 hp. For a rather large "Fabia" it is rather weak. A 1.4-liter 86-horsepower engine is much more suitable for her. Both of these versions are equipped exclusively with a five-speed manual transmission. “Automatic” (as an option, of course) is available only for the 1.6-liter 105-horsepower modification.

The car is offered in three versions. The basic version is called “Classic”. It has electric power steering, driver's airbag and audio preparation. A little higher is the “Ambiente” modification. Its package includes ABS, a passenger “air bag”, a trip computer, front power windows, heated front seats (driver's - with height adjustment), a 2:1 folding back of the rear sofa, an external temperature sensor, central locking. The top version of "Elegance" in addition has air conditioning, rear power windows, leather-wrapped steering wheel, gearshift lever and handbrake, cooled glove box, front armrest, heated exterior mirrors, fog lights, alloy wheels.

“Fabia 1.2 Classic” costs from 343,000 rubles, and “Fabia 1.4 Classic” - from 373,000 rubles. This performance is not compatible with the flagship engine. To purchase “Fabia 1.2 Ambiente”, prepare 383.000 rubles, “1.4 Ambiente” - 413.000 rubles, and “1.6 Ambiente” - 444.000 rubles. The top version "Elegance" is offered only with a 1.6-liter engine and costs from 494,000 rubles.

Restyling - 2005

Country of origin - Germany

The strong trump card of the Volkswagen small car is excellent handling. The steering is so sensitive that the driver feels the position of the front wheels to the nearest degree. The slightest deviation of the steering wheel - and the car changed course. At the same time, there is no trace of nervousness in her habits. In the zero position of the steering wheel, the behavior of the “Polo” is very stable. True, the car cannot boast of high smoothness. Even on minor bumps, it shakes noticeably.

The car is offered with a three- or five-door body.

Like all VW models, the Polo pleases with a very well-crafted interior. Carefully fitted panels, perfect ergonomics - a person of any build will find a comfortable fit behind the wheel. In terms of the quality factor of finishing materials, the model, of course, is inferior to its older brothers in the brand, but its hard plastic should not be criticized - this is normal for small cars. But for the tightness on the back sofa “Polo” deserves blame. Most competitors have a more spacious second row of seats.

Normally, the car is equipped with a gasoline engine with a working volume of 1.2 liters, with a capacity of 60 forces. In a more progressive 16-valve version, this engine produces 10 “horses” more. Both of these modifications are docked exclusively with a five-speed manual gearbox. The next step is a 1.4-liter engine with a return of 80 hp. The “Polo” equipped with it comes with both “mechanics” and “automatic” of a very perfect (by the standards of small cars, of course) six-speed design. The same transmission is available for a surcharge on the flagship version (1.6 l, 105 hp).

“Polo 1.2” is only available in the initial “Trendline” version. Its equipment includes front airbags and electro-hydraulic power steering. Modifications "1.6" in the configuration "Trendline" does not happen. The “Comfortline” version has been expanded with power accessories, height adjustment of the front seats, heated exterior mirrors, central locking, an outlet in the luggage compartment, individual lamps in the front of the cabin, a separate rear sofa back with headrests.

The cost of the 60-horsepower "Polo 1.2 Trendline" is 370.518 rubles, and the 70-horsepower - 377.238 rubles. A 1.4-liter modification will cost at least 397.014 rubles. The surcharge for a five-door body is 13.614 rubles, and for the “automatic” - 45.102 rubles. “Polo 1.4 Comfortline” is estimated at 413.640 rubles. To buy the “Polo 1.6 Comfortline”, you will have to pay at least 466.563 rubles. For the “automatic” for this version, you have to pay 33.358 rubles.

You can endlessly admire sports coupes, feel reverence for executive sedans, or dream of a supercar. However, when it comes time to buy a new car, most of us consider options that are more modest and practical. Among them, not the last place is occupied by small cars. The only question is which small car to prefer, because the choice here is huge. For example, the journalists of the Spanish edition of Autostrada laid eyes on the Nissan Micra, Skoda Fabia and Toyota Yaris, giving them an exam with predilection.

Exterior and interior

The current Micra and Fabia have been on the market for more than a year and have become quite familiar. In contrast, the new Yaris is not yet as noticeable on Spanish roads. But judging by the mature appearance of the "Toyota" small car, it's only a matter of time, the car, unlike its predecessor, looks like an "adult" hatchback. True, and serious Fabius You can’t call it a ladies’ car either, but the Micre with its playful exterior fits this definition quite well. The interior of the Yarisa» Stylish, well built and well thought out in terms of ergonomics. Toyota surpasses rivals in the width of the front of the cabin and demonstrates better visibility. In addition, the Yaris is the only participant in the test, the basic package of which includes a rear-view camera. In terms of the organization of the driver's workplace, Toyota disputes leadership with Skoda, but in the end, the Czech car gains an advantage thanks to optional sports seats with better anatomical properties. Fabia and Yaris are also leaders in terms of back seat space, although the Toyota seats are the least comfortable in the trio. Skoda demonstrates the most voluminous trunk (300/1163 liters versus 286/770 liters for Toyota and 265/1132 liters for Nissan). In addition, the Fabia compartment is more convenient to fill due to the lowest edge.

The widest range of safety systems is offered by the basic Yaris equipment - seven airbags, ABS, EBD (brake force distribution system), BA (emergency braking assistance system), VSC (dynamic stabilization system), TRC (traction control system). Not far behind the compatriot and Micra, which is equipped by default with six airbags, ABS, EBD, BA, ESP and TC (traction control). Against the backdrop of the Japanese Fabia with its standard four airbags, ABS and MSR (engine braking control system) looks unconvincing. But, it should be noted that the Czech hatchback is significantly cheaper than Toyota (by 1,500 thousand euros *) and “ Nissan» (almost 5 thousand euros*). If you pay this difference, then the Fabia package can be brought to a decent level.

Driving performance and handling

Nissan and Skoda were equipped with 1.2-liter petrol turbo engines. Engine " Micros» developed 98 hp and 142 Nm, the Fabia engine - 86 hp. and 160 Nm. Toyota was the only participant in the test equipped with a naturally aspirated power plant. With 1.3 liters of working volume, the Yaris unit produced 99 hp. and 128 Nm. The races to measure the accelerating dynamics were dictated by the European car, which was ahead of its rivals when accelerating from 60 to 120 km/h in 3rd gear (11.9 s), from 80 to 120 km/h in 4/5 gear (11.2/15 .2 s) and when driving a kilometer distance from the start at a speed of 40/50 km/h in 4/5 gear (35.7/37.5 s). Nissan recorded two nominations in its asset - this is acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h (10.79 s) and a kilometer travel time from a standstill (32.1 s). Nevertheless, according to the totality of dynamic indicators, Micra lost to Yaris. The best performance of the brake system was demonstrated by Fabia, which took 13/24/38/54/73 m to a complete stop from a speed of 60/80/100/120/140 km/h. Toyota and Nissan needed 14 / 25/40/58/78 and 15/27/42/60/82 m.

The most economical car in the trio was Nissan, whose average fuel consumption was 5.9 l / 100 km compared to 6.4 liters for Toyota and 6.9 liters for Skoda. The Micra also outperformed the competition in terms of range, having traveled 694 km on one gas station, while the Yaris and Fabia emptied the tanks after 658 and 656 km.

In the field of handling, each of the test participants has its own strengths - Skoda is endowed with the best chassis and the most informative steering, Nissan was the fastest on a winding track, and Toyota showed the best directional stability. And yet, the most pleasant impression on the driver is left by the Fabia, which is driven more recklessly by the Japanese. The only thing that upsets the “Czech” is the absence of ESP in the basic configuration (meaning the version with a 1.2-liter engine).

In terms of ride comfort, the Yaris is the leader due to the best ride. The Fabia and Micra are next, with no points due to the stiff suspension.

Verdict

So, what is the result? The first step of the podium is occupied by Skoda Fabia, which has the best driving performance, as well as an optimal balance between handling and comfort. Second to the finish line comes Toyota Yaris, whose undeniable advantage is the ratio of basic equipment and price. Third place went to Nissan Micra - the most economical and at the same time the most expensive test participant.
