What is a Skoda Octavia Tour. Custom equipment: Optimal Skoda Octavia Tour. List of standard equipment

Skoda Octavia Tour in the 90s and early 2000s became one of the best-selling new foreign cars in the CIS countries. What is the reason for such a significant success of Skoda among our drivers? Skoda bribed our drivers with reliability, relatively affordable spare parts and much better comfort compared to domestic cars. Octavia is the first Skoda model that was assembled under the wing of Volkswagen. The Czech passenger car was created on platform 4 - PQ34 and, apart from the Czech Republic itself, Octavia was produced in Ukraine and Russia, in the Czech Republic production was curtailed in 2004, when Skoda introduced its new Octavia, but in Kaluga the Octavia Tour lasted until 2010. The presentation of the first Octavia took place in 1996, at an automobile exhibition in Paris, mass production began in 1997. Octavia received the prefix Tour after the second generation entered the market.

Review of appearance Skoda Octavia Tour

Octavia has become perhaps the most popular liftback car, a liftback is a body type that looks very similar to a sedan, but the fifth (luggage) door in which opens like a hatchback - along with glass. The great advantage of the Skoda Octavia Tour is the body galvanized on both sides. When buying the first Octavia, it is better to look after a post-styling car, since the windshield may crack on Octavias manufactured before 2000 - this is due to insufficient body rigidity. After the restyling, the body of the Octavia was strengthened. The updated Octavia can be recognized by the modified headlights and bumpers - take a look at the photo (the pre-styling Octavia is shown above), the rear lights have also changed - before restyling, there was only one transparent strip in the Octavia rear lights, and after the update - two. It is also worth noting that before restyling, the headlight cap was made of glass, and after that it was made of plastic. Not often, but still you can meet Octavia station wagon, it was designated as Octavia Combi. On the expensive SLX equipment (later renamed Elegance), alloy wheels were already installed on the assembly line. According to the reviews of the owners of the Skoda Octavia Tour, despite the age, there are no problems with the body.

Salon and equipment

The minimum equipment LX (after 2000 - Classic) was already equipped with hydraulic power steering, immobilizer and steering wheel angle adjustment. The average equipment - GLX / Ambiente, was equipped with at least one airbag, air conditioning and power front windows. The expensive version of the SLX / Elegance was equipped with climate control and at least two airbags. The most luxuriously equipped was the Octavia by Laurin & Klement, these copies left the factory with leather trim. The list of additional equipment for the Octavia is quite extensive, you can find the Octavia Classic with an airbag and heated seats - those options that were offered additionally and such a Classic in terms of equipment level will not yield to Ambiente. After the upgrade, Octavia received a new front panel (see photo, panel on top before restyling). Octavia conquered some motorists with its trunk, the volume of the Octavia's luggage compartment is a record one, the liftback holds 528 liters, the volume increases to 1330 liters with the sofa folded. Station wagon - Combi is able to accommodate 1512 liters with the rear sofa folded down. A significantly larger trunk volume compared to the Volkswagen Golf 4 was achieved due to the increased rear overhang and the sofa moved forward. Despite the fact that the Octavia is visually a larger car than the Volkswagen Golf, or, in the back, the Octavia is not so spacious, it's all about the sofa moved forward.

Technical equipment and Specifications Skoda Octavia Tour

The weakest gasoline power unit offered for the first Octavia was a four-cylinder 1.4 with a capacity of 75 hp. With such a motor, the Octavia driver will be able to accelerate to one hundred kilometers per hour in 15.3 seconds, the maximum speed is 171 km.

The modification with a 1.6l engine - 75hp develops the same power, but Skoda with a 1.6 engine, eight valves and a power of 102 horsepower are most widely used, often cars sold on the secondary market are equipped with just such a motor. With 102 horses under the hood, Octavia is gaining a hundred kilometers in 11.8 seconds, with a top speed of 190 kilometers per hour. Also, the Octavia was equipped with a 1.8-liter aspirated engine with a capacity of 125 horsepower and its turbocharged version produces 150 horsepower. A 2.0-liter aomospheric eight-valve engine develops 116 hp, but this engine has better traction than any of Octavia's non-turbo petrol versions.

The least powerful Octavia diesel unit sends 68 horsepower to the wheels, this power is taken from a non-turbo 1.9-liter diesel. Turbodiesel Octavias with a volume of 1.9 liters produce 90 and 110 hp.

Less powerful Octavias with 75hp gasoline engines and a 68 horsepower diesel engine are equipped exclusively with a manual transmission. More powerful Octavias can be equipped with a four-speed automatic. According to experts, both boxes are quite reliable, the oil in the automatic transmission should be changed every 60,000 km.

The load capacity of the Octavia Tour is 540kg. Occasionally there are all-wheel drive Octavia, all-wheel drive on the Octavia is implemented using a Haldex coupling. In normal mode, the drive goes only to the front wheels of the Octavia, but when slipping or drifting, part of the tractive effort can be transferred back. All-wheel drive Octavia differs from the usual independent rear suspension, which improves its behavior at high speeds and cornering. All-wheel drive can only be equipped with powerful cars with 1.8t petrol and with the most powerful diesel installation.

Spark plugs in Octavia are replaced with a run of 20,000 km, more than 30,000 spark plugs do not live on Octavia. The timing belt is changed after 60,000 km after the last replacement.

The front wheel bearings on the Octavia serve 60,000 km. Shock absorbers are enough for 120,000 km (original spare parts). The steering rack serves an average of 120,000 -140,000 km.

Price

Buying a Skoda Octavia Tour is quite simple. The fact is that the car is massive and therefore there are quite a few such cars in every CIS city. The price of Skoda Octavia Tour 2006 is $10,000. After reviewing the advertisements for the purchase / sale of the Octavia Tour, we can conclude that this is a fairly liquid car that keeps the price well.

If you own this car, you can write your review on, in the "window" under the article.

Skoda Octavia - this car with Czech roots has almost no equal in the secondary market. After all, he has excellent performance, "eternal" design, a huge trunk, as well as inexpensive maintenance. Since the model is no longer produced, when buying, customers pay attention to technical indicators, as well as dimensions. The vast majority of copies go in the back of a hatchback.

Parameters

Dimensions Skoda are not something out of the ordinary. The length of the Octavia is 4507 mm, while the width is 1731 mm, with a model height of 1431 mm. The wheelbase reaches quite decent 2512 mm. The ground clearance of the Octavia is not the most impressive, but sufficient - 134 mm. The model is quite heavy, which is explained by the thick metal of the body panels. Its curb weight is 1,270 kg, while the total weight reaches 1,855 kg.

It is noteworthy that such dimensions allowed the designers to provide Skoda with a huge luggage compartment. Its usable volume is 528 liters, and with the sofa folded down it reaches an impressive 1,328 liters.

Engines

The variety of engines found on the Tour is truly impressive - as many as 9 modifications! True, some of them are almost never found with us, because they are available only on fitted models.

Gasoline engines

The first are low-power, especially for heavy Skoda, gasoline engines. This is a 1.4-liter MPI, with a capacity of 75 horses, and a similar output, but already a 1.6-liter engine. However, such Octavia engines are very rare in our country. They all have 4 cylinders, and each has exactly the same number of valves. Skoda engines have an in-line layout, an injector, as well as high speeds, at which already low power is achieved. For 1.4 MPI, that's 5,000 rpm, supplemented by 126 Nm of thrust achieved at 3,300 rpm. For a 1.6-liter Tour engine, this is 4,600 revolutions, as well as 3,200 revolutions, which have 135 “Newtons” of torque. It is not surprising that the dynamics of these engines is very sluggish - 15.3 seconds. for 1.4 liter and 14.8 sec. for a 1.6 liter. The maximum speed of the Tour is also low: in the first case it will be 171 km/h, and in the second – 172 km/h.

Much more popular were the 102-horsepower, 1.6-liter Octavia engines that are found on most models. These are 4-cylinder, but already 8-valve units with the same in-line arrangement of cylinders. They produce peak power at 5,600 rpm, and the peak of thrust at 148 Nm of torque is at 3,800 rpm. The dynamics here are noticeably better - acceleration will take 11.8 seconds, and the maximum speed has frozen at 190 km per hour. Such characteristics, coupled with unpretentiousness, provided this engine with a prominent place under the hood of Skoda.

One of the most popular was also the 1.8-liter Octavia engine with 150 horses. He already has 20 valves, an injector and a turbo. The peak power of such a Skoda unit is located at 5,700 rpm, but an impressive thrust of 210 Newtons is available in the range from 1,750 to 4,600 rpm. The dynamics of this Tour engine is excellent - only 8.5 seconds, and the maximum speed is considerable - 215 km per hour. There are a lot of similar Octavia models on the "secondary", but they are also quoted quite highly.

Finishing the list of gasoline engines on the Tour is a 2-liter, injection engine. It does not have a turbine, which provides a power of 115 horses available at 5,200 rpm, but the max torque is not bad - 170 Nm, and they are available at the bottom - at 2,400 rpm. His dynamics is mediocre - 11 seconds to a hundred, as well as not the biggest maximum agility - 198 km per hour.

Diesel engines

All Tour solar-eating units have the same volume - 1.9 liters, but their design and performance are significantly different, which determines different technical data.

The first at Skoda is 1.9 SDI. It is distinguished by the absence of a turbine, direct injection of diesel fuel, in-line layout and the presence of only 8 valves. The very small power of 68 horsepower, which is also available only at 4,200 rpm, cannot be compensated by the frankly weak Octavia thrust of 133 Nm, although it is available almost immediately - at 2,200 rpm. His dynamics is simply "no", as well as the maximum speed - 18.9 seconds. up to a hundred and 161 km per hour.

The Tour is followed by 1.9 TDI. Its design is similar to that of the previous engine, except for the presence of a turbine - thanks to it, the Tour engine already produces more decent 90 horses at 4,000 rpm, as well as a good thrust of 210 Newtons at 1,900 rpm. As a result, the Octavia's acceleration takes 13.2 seconds, and the peak speed is 181 km per hour.

The penultimate Octavia was the same 1.9 TDI, but thanks to different settings, it already produces 110 horses (at 4,150 rpm), coupled with 235 Nm of thrust (at 1,900 rpm). His acceleration is a little more cheerful - 11.1 seconds. up to a hundred, and the maximum speed is 10 km higher (191 km per hour).

On the "diesel peak" Skoda is located 1.9 TDI, but already with a herd of 130 horses, complemented by a huge moment of 310 "Newtons". Its dynamic performance is very good - 9.7 seconds. for acceleration, and another 207 km / h of the maximum possible speed.

As for fuel consumption, for the gasoline versions of the Tour it does not exceed 11 liters in the city (for the most powerful turbocharged engine of 1.8 liters). The remaining modifications "eat" noticeably less. The very economical Octavia diesel engines stand apart. As a rule, their consumption does not exceed 7 liters in urban areas. With a 55-liter fuel tank in the Tour, this gives a significant range.

Gearboxes

From the checkpoint to the Skoda, everything is much simpler. Almost all models were equipped with "mechanics", and everywhere, except for the 1.9 TDI version for 130 horses, it is 5-speed. Only in the diesel modification, the box has 6 gears. In addition, the Skoda model was equipped with a 4-band "automatic", it was not installed everywhere. Tour owners with automatic transmission are gasoline engines of 102, 115 and 150 horses, as well as a 90-horsepower diesel. However, this box is far from ideal, both in terms of agility and reliability.

Suspension

The chassis of the Skoda is strong, the chassis swallows bumps well, does not allow excessive body roll and provides sufficient ride comfort. This is a merit of the traditional scheme with McPherson struts in front and a torsion beam on the rear axle. This is complemented by Octavia disc brakes at the front (ventilated on some versions), as well as drum or disc brakes at the rear (depending on the specific modification).

As for the drive, it is front-wheel drive, but the 1.8-liter Tour versions can also be all-wheel drive, equipped with a Haldex clutch, which is able to transfer up to half of the torque to the rear axle. Skoda has a hydraulic mechanism as a power steering.

Outcome

As you can see, Octavia's technical data is nothing outstanding. Nevertheless, thanks to the widest range of engines, different types of gearboxes and drives, as well as the huge trunk of the Tour, multiplied by the average size, Skoda was able to become a truly iconic car.

Operating experience octavia tour 1.6

Good day!

I want to talk about the operation of the Skoda Octavia tour 1.6 liters. 2006 onwards Before that, in addition to our cars, at different times he owned 2 Mercedes in 124 body with an engine capacity of 2.3 liters. (102 engine) and 2 liters. (111 engine), and also drove various foreign cars owned by my friends (including BMW, AUDI, INFINITY). But I will compare it with a Mercedes, although, of course, Skoda and Merc are different cars both in class, comfort, and engine size.

To begin with, how and why acquired Skoda. It can be said that I acquired it by accident, after my Mercedes was stolen. After stealing a car, I had to drive something, so I temporarily purchased a 12 model Zhiguli (due to lack of money). After the Merc, of course, "nothing", terribly infuriated dynamics and comfort, but the cottage steers and it was necessary to get to it on something. But after a year of driving, he could not stand it, he sold the VAZ and, having taken a loan, bought a Skoda. When choosing a car, I did not initially consider it, because I did not want to get into a loan (by the way, the loan was closed ahead of schedule and has long been a free person))). Watched Lancer, Ford Focus, Renault Megane and Hyundai Sonata. Lancer, in principle, was considered as an option, but the prices for servicing a C-class car are simply cosmic, and since the exclusive dealer of Mitsubishi is RO *** and its daughters, the choice disappeared by itself due to the same price for service. Ford - frankly, I just didn’t like it after the Mercedes. A rather cramped driver's seat, due to the wide center console, the knee rests on the console when the gas pedal is pressed. In addition, absolutely not interesting dead engine, albeit equal to the volume and power of the Skoda. But there was still a chance to buy a Ford. At that time, there were queues for Ford, and I accidentally found a small shop on Skolkovo Highway, where the buyer refused the car. I came to the salon, I had a car with a 1.8 engine (I didn’t drive), but I had to drive a Ford with such an engine size as a passenger (though I can’t remember the model) and I liked the dynamics of the engine. So, there was a station wagon in the cabin, but while we were looking at a car with a friend, another buyer also refused a sedan with a similar engine. But after sitting in both Fords, he still did not dare to buy (which, however, I do not regret at all). And those Fords, by the way, were immediately taken by others, as soon as I told the manager that we would not take it. Sonata - everything would be fine, but the price of the car did not fit into my budget, and besides, the quality of the body color, which I have repeatedly read on the forums, leaves much to be desired. Although the car itself is very personal. In terms of interior volume, sound insulation, it is close to Merc, although it is not correct to compare everything else. But a naked car cost 19.5 thousand US rubles, and my budget was originally 17 thousand. As I already wrote, I looked at Skoda by chance. I remembered that even before the hijacking of the car, they looked somehow with a friend Octavia, also with an engine of 1.6 98 release. Despite its age, the body was in excellent condition (not counting the chips formed due to the daily operation of the car on the track, because the owner lived outside the city), and the dynamics of the 1.6 engine frankly surprised me then (I didn’t drive). I must say that the four of us got into the car (the driver, me, my friend and his wife), and my friend is not small and at that time he alone weighed about 110 kilograms, but all the rest were "within the normal range". As soon as the doors closed, the driver took a "low" start and after a few seconds we were in the left lane and gained speed over 100 km / h. A friend was looking for a car then, so at first I didn’t know what the engine size was, and owning a 2-liter Mercedes at that time (111 engine, 16 valve), I decided that the octah’s engine was no less. And now I remembered that trip to the Octavia and decided to go to the salon to see. I liked the car both in terms of the classic body design and the German quality of interior trim (after all, the 4-golf interior, even if it is now outdated and looks very ascetic). In addition, a huge trunk (Shkodovods know what I'm talking about) is an indispensable thing for a family person (no problem, folding part of the seat back, I transport two adult bicycles, a bunch of all kinds of cargo and two passengers in the back seat). The price tag of 19 thousand at that time was too big for me, but realizing that nothing decent could be taken lower, I ordered a car and waited. By the way, now I regret that I didn’t take a 1.8 turbo, but, I repeat, at that time 19 thousand was the amount for me, and a turbocharged Skoda cost at least 21 thousand dollars. During the wait, Megan almost bought (I began to look at other cars, because my car was already delayed for 2 weeks). My renovator is one of my friends. At different times he had new Renault 19 and Renault Laguna, with which he was 100% satisfied. But with VW, which owns Skoda, on the contrary, it somehow did not work out. His mom had a 4 golf that was a hassle, so he advised me to look at Reno. In my opinion, Megan has a pretty decent 1.6-liter engine, neither soft nor hard suspension, an interesting dashboard design and a more spacious interior compared to Skoda. In principle, I was ready to buy it, but then they called from the salon and said that my Skoda had arrived.

So, my experience of owning a car for over 5 years. Salon - it is still in shape even after the accident suffered the day before (a 2-ton executive sedan rammed the entire starboard side, the pillar left by 7 cm, both doors and the threshold had to be changed). The cabin is quiet, only occasionally small crickets appear when the temperature drops overboard, as well as in the heat. But it is absolutely not critical, although I am a "hearer" and any extraneous sounds annoy me. The plastic of the dashboard is soft, on the doors it is a little harder, but still, whatever you say, it is German, albeit in a Czech filling, and its quality is definitely better than in Japanese and American women. The design is of course outdated, but still, IMHO, it is better than in the Ford Mondeo, for example, where even in the new model the feeling is that you are sitting in some kind of toy car. Ergonomics - everything is adjusted and comfortable. Only the effort that has to be applied when switching on 1st gear is a little annoying, but this is a disease of all Skoda boxes with a 1.6 engine (this is not the case for 1.8). Armchairs are quite tenacious and moderately hard, after 300 km of continuous road the back does not get tired. Lateral support is at the level, although for me, with an average height and weight (height - 176, weight - 81), Octavia seats with a sports package or golf seats 6 are preferable due to more developed lateral support rollers. The engine - in my opinion, is very good for its size. Repeatedly had to read on the forums that 1.6 is too weak and does not go at all. I am by no means a racer, although I am used to accelerating dynamically, so I can say that it all depends on the gasket between the steering wheel and the seat))). For the city - quite enough, I do not feel flawed. Subjectively, you feel traction from the very "bottom" in contrast to the same focus or Lancer, where the engine is "empty" on the bottoms. Although the torque is not great (if I'm not mistaken, 145 Nm), but the successful union of the engine and gearbox does its job. Of course, the engine is not enough on the track. At a speed of 120-140, you have to go to the right if a more powerful unit is running out of you, since acceleration after 120, if you do not poke a lower gear, is very sluggish. By the way, for a Mercedes, with its mass, 2.3 and 2 liters is also not much at all. But this volume was enough for me (although in my soul I always wanted 3 liters, no less), and if someone on the track rested on my ass, I just pressed the gas and the gelding quickly accelerated to 150-160 km / h, and only if after that (which happened not often), if the driver of the other car wanted to go faster, I skipped him, because. I think that our roads are not adapted for high speeds. In addition, this is a time-tested engine that is unpretentious in terms of fuel quality and starts perfectly even in 30 degree frosts. By the way, about smoothness - I consider Mercedes one of the best in terms of smoothness (the leaders, in my opinion, are also BMW, Audi and Lexus), but Octavia is quite on the level in this regard. There is something in common between her and the Merc, which is why I chose her, because after the Merc it is generally difficult, IMHO, to ride something else, and even a lower class. As a person who has traveled behind the wheel of different cars, including the named brands, I can say that all German cars have something in common in the feeling of driving a car. And let it be incorrect to compare a small-capacity octave with a 3.0 engine, for example, a BMW X5, for its volume the ride is very good (after all, the younger brother of Volkswagen and Audi). My friend, for example, loves to drive his wife's Audi A3 with the same engine size as my Octavia, although he himself has a 3-liter BMW. And the small volume does not bother him. True, it should be said that at high speeds (over 140) Skoda is not very comfortable. Due to the small volume, the engine roars (at 150 rpm 5,000), the standard for its class and price, the stability of the car at high speeds drops, which, in my opinion, is to blame for the spacers in the shock absorber struts, which are equipped with most foreign cars supplied to our market. The same Mercedes went at any speed like an iron, and with increasing speed it pressed even harder to the asphalt, while the Skoda, on the contrary, becomes more nimble, or something. Somehow I don’t want to go faster than 150, and a comfortable speed is up to 140 km / h.

Soundproofing is decent enough for a budget car. If you don’t tear from a traffic light and don’t unscrew the engine up to 5,000 rpm, it’s quite quiet in the cabin (unless, of course, you drove an S class before, then Skoda will seem like a five Zhiguli to you).

The quality of iron - well, here it will give odds even to expensive foreign cars (Lexuses priced from 50 to 100 thousand dollars are touching, which, after a small scratch or dent, are covered with rust). After almost 6 years of year-round operation - no rust, which was also confirmed by a car mechanic who restored the car after an accident and boiled the old threshold. Which, however, is not surprising, because the body has a double galvanization and unpainted chips, if any, are not terrible for him for several years. The overall quality of the car - nothing serious has happened in 5 years, only routine maintenance (oil, filters, pads). The only thing left once from the heat gum door (replaced under warranty). Well, from the consumables, I also changed the box support and 2 silent blocks, as well as the radiator supports of the cooling system. Everything else is still native, incl. and on the suspension. Ahead - MOT for 90 thousand, where, according to the regulations, in addition to oil, they also change rollers and timing.

Manageability - well, as I already said, at speeds up to 140 it rides like it's on rails. In general, typical handling for a German car (I repeat, I think Octavia is German, because it is based on a golf platform and even in the interior it is 90% 4 golf). The suspension is rigid, but not wooden, as, for example, on a BMW unit, where each bump is given to the body (which is surprising, because the suspension of the BMW five, for example, is elastic, but not wooden) and responds at the fifth point of its passengers. Although the handling of any BMW, in my opinion, is a reference. Well, again, it makes you steer at speed, which cannot be said about a Mercedes, where a moderately stiff suspension and a steering wheel of average sharpness allow you to drive a car with one hand even at high speeds.

In conclusion, I want to say that I am by no means a fan of the Skoda brand and there are certainly many other good cars in the C class. In the future, they are considering buying a Mercedes C class or Audi A4, as well as a Volkswagen Passat (although this is already D +). But I sincerely consider Skoda one of the best cars in its price range. In addition, for a family man, this is an indispensable assistant on trips to the country, when you need to stuff everything into the car at once. And there are a lot of good cars and my review is only the subjective opinion of a person who needed a lot of car for little money. I am by no means going to argue with someone here and prove to someone with foam at the mouth the superiority of Skoda over other brands (especially since I don’t think so). How many people - so many opinions. The only thing I want to say is that German cars will always be a priority for me, even with all the reliability of the Japanese (it's no secret that the quality of the Germans has now fallen), because I like the strict, no-nonsense interior of the Germans, thoughtful ergonomics, good quality paintwork. And I don’t want to buy a car for more than lam and sell it after 2 years just because it bloomed (like Camry or Tiana, for example (I’m speaking firsthand, my work colleagues have encountered such problems), with all due respect to these brands). Although I would not refuse the legendary Kruzak, but this is a completely different car, including in terms of cost, maintenance and gasoline costs. I don’t consider a used car in principle, because I’m fed up with the constant expectation that every 2 months the car needs to be repaired (I don’t believe in fairy tales about the fact that on a 7-10 year old car I only change consumables and that’s it , since my geldings were in very good condition for their age (they were 10 years old, even the mechanics were surprised at their condition), but the age of the car makes itself felt in any case, and there are simply no eternal cars). In addition, modern cars are crammed with electronics, so problems often arise already on machines up to 3 years old. More than once I had the opportunity to buy, for example, an 8-year-old BMW seven or an Audi A8, but for the reasons mentioned above, I consider such a purchase to be madness for a family man. In addition, these are cars where you should always have at least 100 thousand in your pocket, since the cost of spare parts for these executive cars just rolls over. And you can afford such expenses only if you are a young kid, not burdened by anything.

The machine is good and reliable, especially in winter, the exchange rate stabilization system helped out a lot, plus it has four-wheel drive, in terms of handling it is not inferior even to the new Germans, as well as in dynamics. Low fuel consumption, the body of the machine is also strong, the body is galvanized, there are no corrosions on it, spare parts are inexpensive, you can also take it from the Volkswagen Passat B5.

Skoda Octavia Tour, 2010

Great family car in its price range. Design for those who love German classics - everything is in its place, everything is at hand. There are no complaints about the chassis, the suspension is moderately elastic, the sound insulation is good (better in comparison with Japanese and Korean classmates). The engine is simple and reliable, it eats little and 92 gasoline, the dynamics are enough to move around the city and highway. The advantage of the car is the trunk.

Skoda Octavia Tour, 2008

Skoda Octavia Tour - cool car! Volumetric trunk, very stable on the track, etc. And now the cons: From the first days, the creak of the rear doors appeared. At 58,000 km, I replaced the timing belts, weak A-pillars. In winter, it is cold for passengers sitting in the back seat, it warms up for a long time after starting (in winter), the instrument illumination lamps, doors burned out. 1.4 is weak for such a weight, gains acceleration for a long time, eats a lot, it’s a little dark at night - there is little lighting ... And most importantly: the service is expensive and at the service station they can lie that they provided this or that service, but in fact they won’t.. So I'm happy with the car Skoda Octavia Tour after VAZ.

Skoda Octavia Tour, 2007

Skoda Octavia Tour - the car is just super for the family, it's better not to come up with ... A comfortable car - driving long distances is not strained, we go south with the family every year, things are not a problem - the trunk is 560 liters. Relax? Seats spread out and in full growth. The dynamics are excellent, many are simply mistaken that the engine is small, only 1.4, it is necessary to fill in thoroughbred gasoline, such as shell or Gazprom 95. And the dynamics are no worse than 1.6, only the consumption is lower: in the city - 7 liters, on the highway - 5 , 5-6, 5 l. Advantages of the car: Operation is not annoying, consumables and oil after 8-10 tons. Km. Cons: This car doesn't have any. I advise everyone Skoda Octavia Tour.
