The multi-purpose model has earned a lot of positive feedback for its reliability, high ground clearance and simplicity. At the same time, its main disadvantages were poor sound insulation and a frankly weak gasoline engine.

Despite the rich range of engines, Russian deliveries of Doblo were limited exclusively to the 1.4-liter gasoline version with 77 hp. with manual transmission. Such a motor did not differ in great traction - the maximum speed was up to 148 km / h, the first hundred in 15 seconds, and the fuel consumption at the same time exceeded 7 liters per 100 km in the combined cycle (9 liters in the city and 6 on the highway). Much more popular in Russia were more charged, but used copies from the European market, namely 1.3d and 1.9d turbodiesels (85-105 hp).
