Skoda Superb 3 generations. Comparison of cars Skoda Superb III hatchback and Skoda Superb II hatchback. Same base, but different freedom in the cabin

The 3rd generation Skoda Superb liftback, built on the new modular MQB platform, appeared on the Russian market in September 2015. In terms of its overall dimensions, the car is at the junction of classes D and E, so it has more than enough competitors: Mazda 6,. Skoda Superb's fully independent suspension, tuned for a comfortable ride, handles even serious road irregularities with ease, but at high speeds and in corners allows for slight roll and swing. Electronically controlled shock absorbers can add suspension assemblies, but they are offered only in the countries of the Old World. The liftback ground clearance for Russia has been increased to 164 mm, while the European versions have 149 mm ground clearance.

The power units of the model in the Russian specification are five TSI petrol turbo engines with a capacity of 125 to 280 hp. The list includes the following engines:

  • 1.4 TSI 125 HP with.;
  • 1.4 TSI 150 HP with.;
  • 1.8 TSI 180 HP with.;
  • 2.0 TSI 220 HP with.;
  • 2.0 TSI 280 HP with.

All "turbo fours" are well known from other Skoda / Volkswagen cars. And if "junior" motors are very widespread, then a powerful 220-horsepower unit is installed on a limited number of models, for example, on the Passat Alltrack.

Gearboxes Skoda Superb 2016 model year - a 6-speed "mechanics", 6-speed "robot" DSG index DQ250 and 7-band DSG series DQ200. The DSG-6 box is designed to work in conjunction with 2.0 TSI engines that generate high torque. There are only two all-wheel drive modifications - these are 1.4 TSI 150 hp. with. with 6MKPP and 2.0 TSI 280 hp with. with DSG.

The engines of the Czech liftback meet the high requirements of Euro-6, which speaks of their environmental friendliness and economy. So, the fuel consumption of Skoda Superb 1.4 TSI is 125 liters. with. the average is 5.4 liters per 100 km. A number of other modifications, with the exception of the most powerful, also fit into 6 l / 100 km.

The luggage compartment of Superba is distinguished by almost a record volume for the segment. In the standard configuration, up to 625 liters of cargo can be accommodated behind the backs of the rear seats, but if the backrests are folded down, the capacity increases to 1,760 liters.

Greetings to all members of the forum!

This writing is difficult, I think it will be attributed to the review .. I think it would be more correct to call it like a magazine ..

Since the time I wrote a small magazine, somehow as many as 15 t.km have flown by on the Superba, as a result of this run ..- the buggy deesga was not broken !!! ), that, to be honest, all this strained and upset me (after all, the expectation of something is inherently bad ... and if the expectation is in vain ... it's even worse !!! ...)

Review Skoda Superb 1.8 TSI (152hp / 1.8 l / 6АКПП) (Skoda Superb) 2012 Part 2

A little history of a typewriter in winter.

Since I bought a car in the summer, I did not think at all how it would drive with its length in winter, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Let's start: starting the car at - 37 was not particularly difficult, the zip started up, but after starting it flew out of the passenger compartment with a bullet, since the interior is leather, until it warms up even a little, I don't feel like sitting on it. And here I am, with a cigarette and a brush in hand, dancing around the car to clean it up. I have an electric heated windshield installed, so it melts very quickly.

Strengths:

  • Snowdrifts are not a hindrance to us, we will drive through them
  • The car is very hard against ice, it will do everything possible to stay under control
  • The stove is very good

Weak sides:

  • Mirrors that periodically live their own lives
  • High consumption of washer (but you can pull out the fuse)

Review Skoda Superb 1.8 TSI (Skoda Superb) 2009

Good afternoon, dear forum users :)

For a long time my hands were itching to write a review about a very extraordinary car, with which I have had one and a half years of car life ... This is a Skoda Superb, but I was recently in Rostov ... and I caught my eye again ... while the driver told me about her new jokes ... so I could not help but write about her :))

So .... in 2010 my company sent me to live and work in the glorious city of Rostov-on-Don .... the city is very funny ... ..people are specific .... in general, as in a joke ... a general came to the village ... ... some things he liked it, some struck him, and some of him were stolen :))))) The city greeted me with the fact that after a week of my life in it ... my Tuareg was ripped out in the night parking near the house ... not like that, THE WHOLE washer of the right headlight .... And not just a cover .... But the whole mechanism that was in the bumper ... ..but hull drives ... but this story is not about that ... So ... Skoda Superb

Strengths:

  • There are a lot of them ... but they all break on lousy qualities.

Weak sides:

  • Quality ... disgusting

7-speed DSG 0GC gearbox (eng.) Device and principle of operation. Self Study Program 556 VW.
This gearbox is based on the DSG 0BH / 0BT gearbox.
In the 2010 VW T5, Volkswagen has introduced the DSG 0BT gearbox for the first time. This distant ancestor of this type of gearbox laid the foundation for the design and operation of the new generation of gearboxes.
In Volkswagen passenger cars, the 0BT gearbox has been installed on the 2011 Tiguan and is designated 0BH.
A new transmission plant has been built in China. For this plant, the 0BH gearbox was modified and received the designation 0DE. The drive for lower and lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions has led to the development of an even more efficient transmission. This is how the DSG 0GC gearbox appeared.

The all-wheel drive Skoda Superb Combi with a 3.6-liter gasoline engine is the largest and most powerful model of the Czech brand Skoda. This huge station wagon is equipped with a 260 horsepower engine and 4-generation Haldex all-wheel drive. Despite the fact that the Superb formally belongs to the business class, in terms of the volume of interior space, it is larger than many executive cars.

Superb Combi with a 3.6-liter engine is not an ordinary car - it is a sports equipment disguised as a large family station wagon and does not give out its sporting habits in any way.

In our country, there is still a very ambiguous attitude towards Skoda cars. The stereotype of the brand's unreliability is still hovering in the minds of skeptical buyers. At the same time, Skoda cars are almost entirely composed of parts developed by the VAG concern. And the only thing that can be blamed on the manufacturer is that Skoda, according to its status, is not allowed, even as an option, additional equipment of the premium segment, installed on the corresponding Audi and VW models (we will return to this a little later). Otherwise, Skoda cars are a classic design without frills and, most importantly, maximum functionality and convenience. That is why it is impossible to judge Skoda cars with a superficial glance, because their whole essence appears in the details.

Skoda cars have never shone with expressive and emotional design, but we must admit that the Superb station wagon looks very stylish in comparison with competitors in its class. At the same time, the car looks much more impressive from the back and in profile than from the front. Generally speaking, at the front, the Superb spoils a sad and sad look with a heavy eyebrow line hanging over the headlights and folds under the eyes, the role of which is played by the chrome lining of the headlight washers.

Inside, at first glance, the picture is no better, the German pedantry for which Volkswagen models are famous is clearly traced - boring, very boring. But it is simply impossible not to notice the amount of free space. And this while we sat down only in the driver's seat. And those who decide to go to the second row are in for a real shock - no, without exaggeration, such a volume of legroom for rear passengers can be expected only in executive cars and most likely in the version with an extended base, but not in the D class station wagon. I, with an increase of 182 centimeters, sitting on the second row, I can simply throw one leg over the other without touching the back of the driver's seat. And it is worth noting that the space for the rear passengers was carved out not to the detriment of the trunk, which, with the backs of the rear seats folded, has a length of 2 meters.

But on the road, Superb is able to reveal his emotionality much better than in a parking lot. And despite the fairly solid weight (1800 kg), the six-cylinder engine paired with a robotic DSG gearbox provides very solid dynamics on the highway. No joke, the claimed acceleration to 100 km / h is 6.6 seconds, and this is already the level of real sports cars. Here it is worth noting at once the precise steering, which undoubtedly spoils the long steering rack (3 turns from lock to lock, identical to the Octavia RS), but this is not so critical as to even count the number of turns of the steering wheel. A stiff suspension eliminates roll, but delivers very serious discomfort on bumpy roads. Yes, and most importantly, the brakes are two-piston calipers with 345 mm brake discs (exactly the same brakes are on the Audi S3). Their power is sufficient with a solid margin, despite the large mass of the car.

6. Salon in light beige looks great, but extremely impractical. Look for dark spots left by dirty boots on light-colored rugs.

Superb Combi is a very modest and not emotional car, it is intended for self-confident people who do not need to prove their "coolness" to others. The all-wheel drive version with a 3.6-liter engine is a car exclusively for a fan of the brand - this is a real sports station wagon, in the spirit of the Audi A6 Avant, but for much less money. For those who need a large family wagon, you need to take a front-wheel drive Superb Combi with a two-liter gasoline or diesel engine, which also costs one and a half times cheaper.

Yes, the most important thing is that the price of the most expensive Skoda is frightening at first glance. It's still almost 2 million rubles. That is why I have never seen a Superb Combi with a 3.6 engine on the roads of Moscow. But on the other hand, quite often you can find a front-wheel drive version with a 2-liter engine and a capacity of 200 horsepower, which costs just over 1.3 million rubles.

In any case, the Superba Combi for this money does not have a single competitor with comparable internal volume, equipment and dynamic characteristics. Another thing is that in Russia, the country of crossovers and SUVs, station wagons are not popular.

13. This is a fairly sporty car that you can safely drive onto the track. But there won't be those emotions that you can get behind the wheel of a charged hatchback. And a long steering rack on a track with an abundance of tight turns will only get in the way.

Photo: Alexandra mexdrive

14. This look very accurately reflects Superba's character - calm, reasonable and self-confident.

15. In the spring field, Superb is in for another trouble. Too much weight and very modest in width tires - even while standing still, the car begins to fall into the soggy ground. The wheels are desperately trying to row, the clutch is locked, electronics come to the rescue, but the ground clearance of 15 centimeters in this situation is too little and the car sits on its belly.

16. Road tires also do not add permeability, although in such a field you can move slowly and uncertainly, but move.

17. But the desire to drive on broken roads disappears completely. Therefore, it is better to forget about trips to the Ryazan region, otherwise you will have to drive at a speed of 30 km / h gritting your teeth and praying that the next blow will not be fatal for the tires. A significant contribution to the discomfort is made by the too large mass of the car - after all, take, for example, even the Octavia RS with tires of the same size (which is 300 kg lighter), and the same road on it will not seem as stressful as on the Superb with a 3.6 engine.

18. Brake discs 345 mm and twin-piston calipers like the Audi S3 are simply excellent. But the "small" low-profile wheels 225 / 45R17 for such a heavy car are categorically not suitable.

19. Four-wheel drive transmission with a Haldex clutch of the 4th generation has proven itself well both on paved roads (removing the understeer, which is traditional for a front-wheel drive car), and on slippery roads. Technically, the clutch works great off-road, but the Superbu lacks ground clearance.

20. The ground clearance of 15 centimeters is sufficient for driving on paved roads, but you should not move onto unpaved roads after rain.

21. The trunk is the pride of all Octavia and Superb owners. And on the forum of the owners of the latter, an unspoken competition is taking place - who will be able to transport the largest sofa and two chairs in addition in the trunk.

22. The huge panoramic sunroof is designed exclusively for rear passengers. Those sitting in the front will not use it.

23. The six-cylinder engine, adjusted for a working volume of 3.6 liters, can be called economical. On the highway, the consumption is 10 liters, in the city, with a fairly dynamic driving and abrupt starts - no more than 15. And the absence of turbocharging allows you not to worry about the quality of the fuel being poured. The battery, by the way, is located in the trunk.

24. Of the useful equipment, the autonomous heater should be noted, the use of which is difficult to underestimate in the parking lot while waiting for someone (especially since the engine consumes 1.5 liters per hour at idle). For rear passengers, there is not only heated seats, but also such a trifle as an electronic clock and an overboard temperature indicator (there is no separate climate control). Well, the contactless access and engine start system is quite traditional for D-class cars. It is only worth noting that external sensors are installed only on the front handles and the tailgate (the rear doors are devoid of sensors).

25. But there is no rear-view camera even as an optional equipment, only front and rear parking sensors. But there is an automatic parallel parking system (a very useless thing). The glove compartment is lined with velvet from the inside - a hint of the high status of the car. It is also worth noting the excellent sounding of the Sound System (this is again the case when Skoda is simply not "supposed" to install a premium branded speaker system), which consists of only 10 speakers (3x2 in the front doors and 2x2 in the rear) and a separate amplifier - without exaggeration, the sound is very powerful and clear.

26. The front seats, in addition to heating, are equipped with ventilation, only the button for turning it on looks quite frivolous. Hmm, somewhere I've already seen it ... Exactly, because these are the buttons for turning on the heated seats installed on the Fabia! The panoramic sunroof is divided into two parts: one part can be lifted or completely moved. Electric shutter under the hatch. But the mechanical handbrake, despite the excellently stitched leather on the handle, looks archaic - all business class cars have been equipped with an electromechanical parking brake for a long time, which is not only more convenient, but also does not take up useful space between the seats.

27. Umbrella in the armrest of the left rear door - except for the Superba, this can only be found on Rolls Royce cars (they have it, it really comes out with a special mechanism with a button).

28. In the trunk there is a railing system for easy securing of loads and a double bottom, under which there is a compartment for a spare wheel. There is a narrow stowaway, but the dimensions of the compartment allow you to put a full-size wheel - it is not put in a Superb with a 3.6-liter engine, so as not to increase the already large mass of the car.

29. On the dashboard, you can see the icons of electronic systems that cannot be ordered with the purchase of a Skoda. For example, adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assist. But on the other hand, the Columbus navigation system is available, which not only knows Russian, but also very well navigates the city.

30. The second proprietary "feature" of Superba, after the door umbrella - a removable LED flashlight in the trunk. In normal condition, it illuminates the trunk, but if necessary, you can take it with you. It has a magnetic base that allows it to be attached to the body. The electric tailgate is convenient and does not need to be mentioned separately.

Summarizing.

The undoubted advantages of the Superba Combi are a spacious interior with rich equipment (although there is no limit to perfection), a huge headroom for rear passengers, a large trunk, a powerful engine with an appropriate sports suspension and brakes, and an all-wheel drive transmission.

There are also disadvantages. First of all, this is the lack of emotional design, both outside and inside, and the cheap finishing of some salon elements. Secondly, the lack of high-tech optional equipment (rear view camera, adaptive cruise control), which is quite an important argument in this class of cars.

Thirdly, the most significant in my opinion is that the car feels like it is built to the limit of the chassis capabilities and its large mass, due to a heavy engine with an all-wheel drive transmission and a station wagon (plus powerful brakes that increase unsprung masses) result in very serious discomfort on bumpy roads. And with regular use in such conditions, it can become a reason for frequent suspension repairs.

Therefore, for Superba Combi 3.6, broken roads are categorically contraindicated. For the rest, Superb, like all Skoda cars, is worth its money to the last penny.
