Audi q7 technical specifications 3.0. Audi comfort and technology: Q7. Audi Q7: technical specifications

5 / 5 ( 1 voice )

Literally out of the blue, the German automaker presented in mid-December the same Audi Q7 in a new body. There are still a couple of months before the official premiere of the new product. Europeans will be able to evaluate the appearance and characteristics of Audi in the spring at an exhibition in Geneva.

Let us remind you that Audi crossovers have been produced since 2005. It has repeatedly undergone major modernization, ranging from facelift to changing the filling. The latest diesel blew everyone away: 500 horsepower at 1000 Nm! Until 2010, Q7s were equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission, and since 2010 - with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The peak of sales of the German crossover occurred in 2007, when 41,000 models were sold in Europe, and 21,000 in the USA. The entire Audi model range.

Car history

The Audi Q 7 2016 is a car that represents a world-famous German company in the SUV sector. This vehicle can be safely called a successful combination of sporty character and versatility, the most advanced technologies and the luxury of cars in the executive segment.

The driver will be captivated by the driving characteristics, as well as the dynamism of the car. The new Audi 7 was created by the developers of the famous Quattro all-wheel drive. On any type of road surface and under any conditions it will be extremely reliable.

In 2006, the car company Audi boldly announced that it was able to create a vehicle for Quattro technology. The massive Audi Q7 TDI crossover became such a means. After the appearance of this car, it caused a considerable resonance in the automotive community, and for Audi the new product became a debut statement about itself in the crossover niche.

Audi Q7 2006

This experiment was successful, and the Q family began to improve. The commercial success of the Audi Q7 TDI was able to exceed the expectations of most skeptics. How could it be otherwise, since the age of peak popularity of crossovers is in full swing.

Almost every automaker strives to demonstrate its own ideal solution for a car of this class.

It would not be superfluous to recall that Audi entered this crossover market as the latest of the “Big German Three” auto companies. Therefore, the tasks were the most ambitious - to be able to get our own tidbit of popularity in this niche.

And it seems that the company was able to cope with such goals! The car was well received on both sides of the ocean, and the Russian Federation was no exception. Despite the rather immodest price tag, the new Audi Q7 was able to attract large queues that lasted more than half a year.

The new Audi Q7 was based on the new MLB platform, which represents the latest development of the engineering staff from Ingolstadt.

Exterior

We did the right thing in starting the story about the new Audi with its appearance. It was she who underwent revolutionary changes. The car is still recognizable, however, a couple of sharp edges have appeared on the exterior. Thanks to them, the new Audi Q7 looks refreshed and sportier.

A larger radiator grille (now its ribs are horizontal rather than vertical), updated lighting equipment and bumpers played a role in the “sportiness” of the second-generation car. By the way, car head optics can be of three types: LED, xenon and matrix.

The false radiator grille, which has a large trapezoidal shape, received horizontal lines of chrome. By the way, its name is Singleframe. The bumper located at the front has powerful and strict features, the optics look narrowed, as if “squinted”, however, it looks quite nice.

Also, the front lamps may have different appearances depending on what type of optics is installed in them. In the basic version, you can install xenon optics, and in more expensive ones, the branded Audi Matrix LED with LEDs.

The side of the German Audi Q 7 draws attention to the roof sloping towards the rear, large wheel arches that accommodate wheels on original rims. The side doors turned out to be quite large; they are very convenient and practical. You can notice strict horizontal stamping lines.

After a side glance at the latest version of the Q7, you realize that there are no more games and entertainment, everything is actually extremely serious. Even in the basic configuration of the 2015 Audi Q 7, 18-inch wheel rims are installed, which have received a restyled appearance.

19, 20 and even 21-inch wheels are also available as options.

A fairly large glass made it possible to increase the degree of visibility of the crossover. The taillights look amazing. They are made in LED design, and optionally, you can install advanced lighting technology with dynamic direction indicators. They decided to leave the rear bumper the same and not give it a more massive appearance. It looks very modest with a beautiful diffuser and exhaust tips.

Despite the fact that the exterior design lines were slightly changed, they were able to remain in the recognizable style of the automobile concern brand. The rapid curves of the lines of the front and rear overhangs, together with the powerful ribs of the rear with strongly inclined pillars, were able to create a massive, memorable silhouette.

If we talk about the radiator grille, it is in the style of the Auto Union models and is based on a solid, not devoid of grace, bumper. The manufacturer also indicated the new MLB platform, which represents the latest development of engineers. However, not everyone understands what stands behind these three letters. Let's try to figure it out.

Professionals spent a lot of time and effort to reduce weight and increase body rigidity by introducing high-strength steel, as well as aluminum body elements. This metal was used for the side doors, hood, front part and front fenders, and trunk door.

As a result, the weight of the equipped gasoline car Q7 3.0 TFSI is 1,970 kilograms, and the diesel version of the Audi Q7 3.0 TDI is 1,995. Based on the dimensions, the new product has decreased compared to its predecessor by 7 millimeters in length, by 15 millimeters in width, and the wheelbase - by 12 millimeters.

The drag coefficient has also improved noticeably - 0.32. Such impressive body aerodynamics is an absolute record in this automobile segment.

Despite the perhaps conflicting opinions about the new design, most people found it just right. To be honest, it doesn’t even seem correct to compare the first and second generations, because there are about 10 years between these models, and what we are looking at today can easily be called the future.

Throughout 2015 and 2016, all vehicles of the German company will be changed in their appearance and in all cars it will be possible to guess the brand new corporate style. The crossover has become more serious and attractive.

The developers of the “seventh Ku” call reducing the weight of the machine their key achievement. The German crossover lost 325 kg, 71 of which were on the body. The power frame is made of ultra-strong steel, while the doors, front part, fenders and hood are made of high-quality aluminum.

The diesel version is the heaviest - 1995 kg, while the car with a petrol engine is slightly lighter - 1970 kg. Let's go over the dimensions. Unlike its older brother, the 2015 Audi Q7 has become slightly shorter than the previous car. The new product measures 5,050 mm in length and 1,970 mm in width. The height remains the same (1,740 mm).

Interior

The interior of the second generation Audi Q7 was subject to almost complete redesign. In addition to new materials, much improved ergonomics of the front panel, a redesigned console that has found its place in the center, and new seats.

There is a completely new layout, which has made it possible to achieve increased legroom and overhead space for the driver and passengers sitting on the rear seat. Legroom in the rear seats has been increased by 21 mm, headroom by 41 mm and rear space by 23 mm.

Moreover, the interior of the crossover was expanded in the shoulder area, about 20 mm was added. In general, the interior of the 2015 “Seven” can be a basic jeep designed for 5 seats, or it can fit a 7-seater full-size family car, which has 3 rows of seats.

In the standard version of the two-row design, the seats installed at the rear can be moved longitudinally by a distance of about 110 mm, which is a full centimeter more than in the previous version. The car doors can open almost 90 degrees, which makes getting into the car much easier.

Once you get behind the steering wheel of a brand new German crossover, you will almost immediately notice the comfortable profile of the seat surface along with solid lateral support. In addition, the seat has a large number of available position settings, which makes it possible to feel quite comfortable, despite long trips.

Multifunction steering wheel

The steering wheel itself has a very comfortable diameter and thickness, so holding it in your hands is very pleasant. This was partly achieved through the introduction of leather upholstery. Directly behind it is the instrument panel, which is represented by a digital display with a diagonal of 12.3 inches. However, such an instrument panel will be installed only as an option, just like the projection screen on the windshield.

The central tunnel in the interior of the new generation Audi Q7 was able to intrigue with its simple, but at the same time original, laconic lines. The front seats are electrically adjustable, with ventilation and heating controls.

Dashboard

Optionally, seats are also available, which have eighteen settings and five modes of operation of the massager. The seats received solid lateral support. Hands can rest on the rim, which has been covered in leather trim, which also features a compact hub and thin spokes.

On the front panel you can see smooth lines along with the ventilation system deflectors across the entire width of the dashboard. The car has a new dual-zone climate control with a TFT screen (optional 4-band).

It is possible to install additional equipment as an option, including a panoramic sunroof with electric drive, LED background lighting of the interior, various variations of leather interior trim, premium Bang & Olufsen music (country of origin: Denmark) and more.

The new family of the Audi MMI multimedia system has a color display designed for 7 or 8.3 inches, which is capable of moving out of the dashboard when turned on. The improved multimedia option has support for voice control and can understand ordinary language, and will be able to provide the driver and passengers sitting next to a sufficient arsenal of the latest world functions, such as support for telephone, radio, music, navigation system, Internet access and Wi-Fi.

There is nothing bad to say about the site on the central tunnel; it is unique and stylish. It is located between the seats of the driver and the front passenger sitting next to it and has an MMI option settings station, a strong Tiptronic automated gearbox control selector, an electric handbrake button and impressive cup holders.

It is clear that the new product has also received many electrical services, which are designed to be responsible for the safety of the lives of the driver and passengers. I was pleased with the presence of parking sensors, cruise control with a speed limit option, in the more expensive version of adaptive cruise control with a Start/Stop system and automated traffic jams (the car can not only stop, but also accelerate and steer, however, this function works only up to the speed limit of 60 km/h).

Сross-traffic assist (helps maneuver when reversing), Lane Assist, parking assistant, cameras that allow panoramic visibility, a service that monitors the physical condition of the driver, a system that recognizes road signs, a camera that can see at night, etc. .

German specialists were able to work in such a way that when sitting in the car you don’t feel at all that it is big, and driving it is no harder than a class “C” hatchback. As soon as the car starts, you clearly notice that this crossover on the move is much superior to the previous family.

The rear door in the basic version is equipped with an electric drive to open it, and the Advanced Key function will allow you to give a command to open or close the tailgate by waving your foot from the bottom of the rear bumper. Interestingly, the loading height has also been changed for the better - 46 mm lower than its predecessor.

The luggage compartment has also been changed. Thus, the new Audi Q7 with seven seats will have about 295 liters of free luggage space. The basic version of the car with five seats will already have an impressive 890 liters of usable space.

If necessary, it will be possible to increase the luggage compartment by folding the rear seats, which will ultimately provide as much as 2,075 liters of free space, which will undoubtedly please those who like to travel or spend free time with their family on vacation.

Specifications

Power unit

What's hiding inside? It turns out that the new product was built on the MLB modular platform. So that you understand, this thing will become the basis for the next generations and. In the European market, the Audi Q 7 crossover will debut with a couple of 3-liter turbo engines.

The gasoline engine easily produces 333 horsepower, the diesel engine - 272. It is noteworthy that the diesel engine turned out to be economical and consumes 5.7 liters per 100 km, while the gasoline unit requires 7.7 liters per 100 km.

A little later, they want to dilute the range of engines with 3.0 TDI units, diesel – 249 hp. With. and 2.0 TFSI, petrol – 252 liters. With. Even with the naked eye you can see how much more economical this car is than its predecessor. However, the main surprise is yet to come.

In 2015, a hybrid version was released with a 94 kW electric motor and a three-liter diesel engine with a capacity of 258 horses. In total, the output of this system will be 373 hp. s., fuel consumption will be 1.7 liters per 100 km.

The three-liter TFSI is a gasoline engine coupled with a turbocharger that automatically revs at low speeds. Previously, this power unit caused its drivers quite a lot of trouble, however, now all the problems have been eliminated.

Transmission

The engines come in conjunction with an 8-speed automatic transmission. In the first case, you can accelerate to hundreds in just 6.1 seconds, in the second – in 6.3. The fully controlled chassis deserves special attention. As on most Porsche 911 models, the rear wheels can turn, which increases the car's maneuverability.

Transmission

The automatic gearbox has a new self-locking differential, which allows the unit itself to be smaller in size and lighter in weight. Under normal conditions, traction is distributed between the front and rear wheels in a 40/60 ratio. Up to 70 percent of the traction can go to the front axle and up to 85 percent to the rear.

Suspension

The new car has a standard adaptive air suspension, which provides high comfort and balanced performance - in the standard version, which will have stepless electronic adjustment of shock absorber stiffness and the ability to change the ride height (up and down by 30 millimeters).

Front suspension

In addition, there is an S Line sports adaptive air suspension, which lowers the ground clearance by 15 millimeters. It is clear that the Audi Q7 2016 is a conventional SUV, because this vehicle was designed taking into account the fact that it will not see real off-road conditions.

Rear suspension

Of course, a car can leave the asphalt without any difficulties and drive to a country house on unpaved surfaces, or drive over a curb in the city, but no more. Although, hypothetically, the car has a limited slip differential, such as Torsen, which can do a lot of things, however, it is difficult to imagine that a car that costs from 3,600,000 rubles. drove into a real swamp.

Steering

The steering device has a rack and pinion type and a power steering wheel, which makes it easy to control such a large all-wheel drive vehicle.

Brake system

On the front and rear wheels, German specialists installed ventilated disc brakes with support for the anti-lock braking system (ABS). In addition, there is a servo amplifier.

Let's sum it up

I would like to wish the large crossover great sailing and hundreds of thousands of kilometers of roads! The new Audi Q7 really turned out to be attractive both externally and technically.

All that remains is to wait for the Audi Q7 e-tron Quattro configuration, which will be the world's first hybrid with a 6-cylinder diesel engine, all-wheel drive and the ability to charge from the network. Even the car from the first family was very, very successful and beautiful, which in the new generation the engineering and design team was able to not only emphasize, but also improve.

The safety of the car, as always, is at its best, as is its equipment. It’s not clear why the car isn’t equipped with additional options for such a considerable amount of money? You simply have to buy them yourself, and this is also a considerable amount. No more, no less – 1 million Russian rubles.

This seems to be a serious flaw. However, the car turned out to be simply perfect, especially all those smooth lines present in the Audi’s interior. However, as always, the German automotive industry is at its best!

Video review

Sales market: Russia.

The Audi Q7 full-size crossover is the company's first SUV to offer the perfect combination of sportiness and versatility, state-of-the-art technology and executive luxury. The car has large dimensions: 5089 mm in length, 1983 mm in width and 1737 mm in height. An equally decent wheelbase of 3002 mm is combined with a ground clearance of 240 mm. The standard equipment of the Audi Q7 includes permanent Quattro all-wheel drive and many innovative systems that largely determined the further development of the luxury SUV class. In the appearance of the car, considerable attention is paid to dynamic lines, emphasizing the sporty character of the Q7. With the launch of the next Audi series, the buyer was offered several modifications with gasoline and diesel engines in combination with a 6-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission. In 2009, restyling took place, the sporty emphasis in the design was strengthened, the MMI system acquired a convenient controller with a joystick, the previous units were replaced by new engines and an 8-speed Tiptronic.

Even as standard, the Audi Q7 offers “highest-quality” equipment: xenon headlights, LED running lights, front and rear fog lights, heated electric mirrors, front and rear parking sensors, tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, dividing armrests front and rear, heated front seats , climate control, MMI interface, on-board computer with a large monochrome screen, full-color LCD monitor and an audio system with 11 speakers and a 6-channel amplifier. The list of options includes an equally rich range: four-zone climate control, sports seats, panoramic roof, leather interior, interior trim with inserts of various colors and textures, 7" LCD monitor, heated rear seats, electric front seats, an additional third row of seats. Second. The Audi Q7 range folds in a 40/20/40 ratio for greater functionality. In the seven-seater version, the trunk has a volume of 330 liters, in the five-seater version - 775 liters, which easily increases to an impressive 2035 liters with the rear rows folded.

Initially, the Audi Q7 provided several options for gasoline engines with a volume of 3.0 liters, 3.6 liters and 4.2 liters with power ranging from 280 to 350 hp. and no less variety of diesel power plants - volumes of 3.0 liters, 4.2 liters and 6.0 liters with power from 230 to 493 hp. The latter has a V12 Twin Turbo version and is distinguished by a very high torque of 1000 Nm. The basic versions of the Q7 produced after restyling may have a 3.6-liter V6 FSI gasoline engine with 276 hp under the hood. or a 3.0-liter high-torque turbocharged diesel V6 TDI with 266 hp. More powerful versions are equipped with 4.2-liter V8 engines: petrol FSI (345 hp) and turbocharged diesel (340 hp), as well as the above-mentioned V12 Twin Turbo.

The chassis of the Audi Q7 includes numerous aluminum components, which ensures almost ideal load distribution between the axles. The chassis with independent all-wheel suspension with double wishbones at the front and rear, in combination with adaptive air suspension, ensures sporty driving and high comfort even on off-road terrain. The ability to change the ground clearance (from 180 to 240 mm) has its advantages not only off-road, but even in everyday situations - the car can “sit down” for ease of loading. Like the Audi RS4, the car is equipped with the latest generation Torsen differential, with a standard 40:60 ratio between the axles. The car comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels, which could be upgraded to 19- or 20-inch ones.

The Audi Q7 is equipped with a full set of restraint systems (8 airbags, seat belts with pretensioners, child anchors) and a wide range of active safety systems. The standard dynamic roll stabilization system reduces roll around the longitudinal axis. Additional equipment offers an equally rich package of advanced driver assistance systems: adaptive cruise control, Audi Lane Assist lane control, Audi Side Assist blind spot monitoring, Audi parking system.

Despite its size, the Audi Q7 is interesting from a driver's perspective. It is characterized by high efficiency and precision steering, the ability to clearly and accurately enter turns without unnecessary steering. And of course, it is important to mention powerful engines, and the modification of the Audi Q7 V12 TDI Quattro allowed this crossover to become the most powerful diesel SUV in the world at that time. The rich equipment and decoration of the Q7 serves rather as an addition to the characteristics of the car itself. Interest in the model is confirmed by the fact that used cars are in fairly high demand on the secondary market.

Read completely

Audi Q7 is a car that represents the world-famous German concern in the SUV segment. The Audi Q7 is a successful combination of sporty character and versatility, the most modern technology and the luxury of a luxury car.

The driver will be captivated by the driving performance and dynamics of a sports car. The brainchild of the creators of the legendary quattro all-wheel drive, it is extremely reliable on any road and in any conditions.

The Audi Q7 sets new trends. The car was specially designed as the largest European SUV. The dimensions are impressive: length - 5086 (longer than the Hummer H2), width - 1983, height - 1737 mm. The base is no less impressive - 3002 mm. Its sweeping lines, smooth curve of the roof, protruding body surfaces, which, in contrast with the flat windows, create the perfect harmony of sportiness and luxury.

The rapid curves of the lines of the front and rear overhangs, the powerful ribs of the rear with strongly inclined pillars create a powerful and memorable silhouette. The radiator grille in the style of the Auto Union models rests on a powerful, but not devoid of grace, bumper. We decided not to overthink the shape of the headlights - they are extremely laconic and at the same time very effective. The lean stern is crowned with the now signature wing-like taillights. And the front bumper is continued in powerful stampings along the perimeter of the body and impressive wheel arches.

For driving benefits, the all-wheel independent suspension with double wishbones ensures high off-road capabilities. Standard elastic elements are springs. And as an option, an adaptive air suspension with an electronic system for changing the characteristics of shock absorbers can be installed. The ground clearance of the Q7 can vary between 180-240 mm. When the off-road mode is turned on, it sets the ground clearance to 205 mm. It also has a loading height adjustment function. ESP (installed as standard) has acquired several new functions: hill descent assistance and trailer stabilization system. For an additional fee, you can choose the Audi Side Assist system with radar control of lane change maneuvers and advanced parking sensors with light and sound alarms and a rear view camera.

Despite its size, the Q7 is capable of racing at the speed of a sports car. The amazing dynamism of this giant is amazing, and this does not in any way affect the degree of passage of difficult sections of the road. The car behaves perfectly both on the highway and in deep off-road conditions.

The large SUV Audi Q7 is beautiful not only on the outside, but also on the inside.

The standard equipment includes the innovative MMI operating system, well known to car enthusiasts from the A6 and A8 models. The powerful SUV is equipped with various driver assistance systems, which are being introduced into mass production for the first time.

The huge trunk closes and opens with a button - you'll never get dirty again. The electronic owner recognition system will allow you to open doors and start the engine without removing the key from your pocket.

The Q7 is literally packed with options, but that's what gives the driver endless options to choose from. You can relax, delegate authority, and the car will do everything itself: change gears, maintain a comfortable cruising speed, turn on and off the lights, scrape the glass with wipers, turn off the music while your mobile phone is ringing, monitor the distance to neighboring cars when changing lanes in heavy traffic, It's heart-rending to yell at the parking sensors when parking and even control the dividing line.

The electronic driver's seat adjustments have memory for the preferences of two drivers.

For passengers there are other joys. According to the creators, the Q7 implements a new approach to transforming the interior: the car allows you to create at least 28 options for seats and loading space. Three rows of seats can accommodate up to seven people.

The second row seats have independent longitudinal adjustment. The second and third rows of seats can be folded down to create a flat-floor luggage compartment that can hold 2,035 liters (without the need to remove the seats). In the five-seater version, the Q7 trunk volume is 775 liters.

Under the hood is a large, powerful and agile 4.2-liter V8 petrol engine producing 350 hp. There is also a so-called economical turbocharged diesel version: V6 engine, three liters, 233 horses. The engine is paired with a six-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission with manual gear shifting and paddle shifters on the steering wheel.

The Audi Q7 comes standard with the Quattro permanent all-wheel drive system, which has a 25-year history. The latest generation Torsen center differential distributes torque between the front and rear axles in a ratio of 40:60 under “standard” road conditions.

The Audi Q7 lasted three years without changes. In 2009, a restyled version of the model was presented at the Shanghai Motor Show. The car received new bumpers, a radiator grille with a chrome “fence,” and updated LED optics. From the side, the restyled Q7 can be distinguished only by slightly modified thresholds. Four body colors were added to the previous ones, including the fashionable brown metallic.

The interior has changed little: there are additional finishing options, LED backlighting, and the instrument panel has a larger display. The updated Q7 also has a three-spoke steering wheel and an abundance of chrome in the interior trim.

We also worked on the line of engines. The emphasis was on economy and ecology. Thus, the petrol 3.6 FSI has curbed its appetites due to the new recovery system. Its meaning is that when braking, the excess energy generated by the motor is taken by the battery. And then - during acceleration - the battery releases energy back. As a result, the load on the generator is reduced and the vehicle requires less fuel. Diesel 3.0 TDI also did not escape the “ecological” modernization. The unit received a new injection and exhaust neutralization system. The engineers also reduced diesel fuel consumption by 0.2 liters per 100 kilometers (to 9.1). Power was added to the 4.2 TDI turbodiesel, it increased by 14 hp. up to 340 hp The crown of the line of power units is the 6-liter V12 with 500 hp, which appeared on the Q7 in 2008. It accelerates the car from zero to hundreds in just 5.5 seconds. The transmission is a six-speed automatic, with no options.

Among the innovations, it is also worth noting the carbon-ceramic brake discs with a diameter of 420 mm at the front and 370 at the rear, mounted at the request of the client. But such powerful brakes can only be installed on versions with a V8 and V12 engine. Among the new options there are several more interesting things, for example, a warning system for crossing solid markings, adaptive cruise control, which allows you to maintain a distance from the car in front at speeds from 30 to 200 km/h, as well as a new Bang & Olufsen audio system with 14 speakers.

The official premiere of the updated Audi Q7 took place as part of a special event held on June 25, 2019 in its home market, Ingolstadt. The international presentation will take place on the catwalks of the autumn Frankfurt Motor Show, after which sales will start in Europe and America. The model will reach domestic dealerships only by the beginning of 2020. In fact, the new product is the first and rather comprehensive restyling of the second generation, released in 2015. The manufacturer redesigned the line of power units, worked on the interior and added new items to the extensive list of options, and also retouched the exterior. At the presentation, a car in the optional S-line version was demonstrated. It received upgraded headlights with two focusing lenses and unusual sections of daytime running lights. By default, the headlights are fully LED, and for an additional fee, they receive a matrix filling that seriously increases the “range” of the headlights. Also, the car received new bumpers.

Dimensions

The Audi Q7 is a premium crossover with the ability to install a third row of seats. After restyling, it increased slightly in size and now measures 5063 mm in length, 1970 mm in width, 1741 mm in height and 2994 mm between the wheel pairs. The car itself is built on the MLB modular platform and has a fully independent suspension. For an additional fee, you can order a pneumatic system. With it, the maximum ground clearance reaches 325 millimeters, and the adjustment range is 90 mm. Among other things, after restyling, the car will be equipped with active anti-roll bars operating from a 48-volt network. Previously, this option was only available for the sports version of the SQ7. Also worth noting is the fully controlled chassis with steering rear wheels. As for the size of the trunk, in a five-seat interior layout, depending on the position of the rear row backrests, it can provide from 865 to 2020 liters of free space.

Specifications

As before, under the hood of the crossover there are three different power units, however, their lineup has changed. The transmission, as before, consists of an eight-speed hydromechanical automatic transmission and the proprietary Quattro all-wheel drive system. Diesel Audi Q7 will be equipped with a six-cylinder V-shaped three-liter engine with turbocharging. It is available in two versions and develops 231 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque or 286 hp and 600 Nm. There is now only one petrol power unit. It also has a V-shaped six-cylinder layout and a turbocharging system. Its peak output is 340 hp and 500 Nm. It is worth noting that all engines are equipped with a mild hybrid system. It involves a belt-driven starter-generator and a 48-volt battery, which reduces the size of the trunk by 25 liters. This system, on average, saves about 0.7 liters of fuel for every 100 kilometers due to recuperation during braking, as well as when the start/stop mode is turned on.

Equipment

After restyling, the Audi Q7 interior lost the lion's share of analog control buttons. Instead, the manufacturer installed several touch panels. By default, they have a diagonal of 8.8 inches, however, for an additional fee, you can order larger 10.1-inch ones. To improve tactile sensations, the screens are spring-loaded. Instead of analog instruments, a virtual multifunctional instrument panel is also installed. For additional information, a head-up display is included as an option in the list.

Audi Q7, 2016

I have operated about 25 cars: Nissan (Pathfinder and Terrano), Suzuki Grand Vitara, Mitsubishi Galant (good car, I really liked it). From the “Germans” BMW 520, then he got into the “Japanese” - Landkuser Prado 150, Camry. I chose for a long time - I was looking for a diesel engine. I really liked the BMW X5, the new Volvo X90 has a lot of stuffing, but the engine seemed rather weak and noisy (maybe because of the tires). The Volkswagen Touareg didn’t seem like it, externally or internally, the Mercedes GLE was a little expensive, but when I got into the Audi Q7 I realized that it’s mine. Very playful, easy to ride, good visibility, plus they gave a good discount and the first two maintenance services were free. So far the first runs are small. 12 days and 420 km of pleasant driving have passed - consumption in the city is 12-16 liters. On the Moscow Ring Road, when I was free, 7-8 liters, I installed Nokian Nordman RS winter tires (Velcro) on the car - time-tested, good, quiet tires, installed mud flaps - bought in an online store in Naberezhnye Chelny for 4500 rubles with delivery to Balashikha 4- day, installation in the Audi Center 8800 rub. A small problem popped up - the hood release handle came off, the latch came off, but it was near the service center, so they installed it there. Of all the variety of cars I have owned, the Audi Q7 has the highest oil consumption so far. They say in the service that at first it will be like this. But something is worrying. But driving is a pleasure.

Advantages : frisky. Excellent visibility. Comfort.

Flaws : oil consumption.

Audi Q7, 2016

Before the Audi Q7, I owned a Lexus RX 350. So, the “Business Line” package, 7 seats 3 l TDI, according to the title 249 hp. The headlights on my car are LED - they look decent, forming an interesting modern look for the front part; the front half-turn is also great. The sound insulation of the Audi Q7 is excellent, no worse and no better than that of the Lexus. But the diesel engine can still be heard while you are standing and the music is not on, plus there is also a subtle vibration. It accelerates well, but you can feel the size and heavy weight of the car (Lexus accelerated no worse). It steers well, especially in “dynamic” mode - the steering wheel becomes heavier, the car drops to, if I’m not mistaken, 16-17 cm and at high speed it behaves very confidently. The song is simple. But, as it seemed to me, in a traffic jam, in “ragged mode”, well, when you release the gas pedal, sometimes there is a significant deceleration. You even feel a slight “precipitating” jerk, as if braking is happening, hence the noticeable twitching and this begins to strain. But sometimes it doesn’t seem that annoying, you have to get used to it. In general, you need to press the gas much harder than on a Lexus, the pedal is “heavy”, the same goes for the smoothness of the ride - the Lexus is smoother and much more comfortable in a traffic jam (the gas pedal just “strokes” and slides easily). But, of course, it is inferior in handling to the Audi Q7 at speed, because... The Lexus is very rolly and turns the steering wheel first and then the car only follows it. In general, the further I go, the more I like the Audi Q7 in terms of handling and dynamics, I am “stirring up” it little by little. Acceleration was confident at any speed, it didn’t accelerate to the maximum, but 165 went confidently, it wasn’t scary. The downside is that when kick-downing from a standing position, there is a delay before the car “jumps” forward. At least that’s the case in “comfort” mode. This was not the case at Lexus. I haven’t and won’t go into serious off-roading. On a dirt road with potholes, I turned on the “off-road” mode - up to 30 km per hour maximum altitude (235 it seems). I haven't used cruise control yet. Cruise, despite the lack of a traffic jam assistant, is too complicated for me: the speed limit can be set and something else, but is it necessary? I haven’t driven in the back yet and haven’t taken my household members far. But there is plenty of space in the back, there is heating in the two rear seats and climate control for each passenger.

Advantages : see above.

Flaws : see above.

Audi Q7, 2015

I liked the Audi Q7 more than all the competitors under consideration: excellent handling (cornering stability is better than most competitors), it is possible to take options that others do not have or come as a package. And the overall feeling of the car is very pleasant. I bought the car in St. Petersburg - it was cheaper there (more discounts), there was the necessary equipment with a panorama that fit into the allotted budget. In addition, there were additional options, although not very necessary: a night vision camera, an electric tow bar, and a parking lot with all-round cameras. The car is in the s-line configuration and in addition to the package and the options listed above, there is navi and an electronic instrument panel. Since I chose the Audi Q7 from stock, I had to sacrifice some options: door closers (I will definitely install them), 4-zone climate control with heated rear seats, blind spot sensor (used to on Jaguar and Q3). I would also like to get a steering rear suspension. But I couldn’t find a car with this configuration, and I didn’t want to wait for a custom one or overpay for some other unnecessary options. I was surprised at the lack of a start-stop system: I thought that they had been installed by default on European cars for several years now. In St. Petersburg I immediately changed the car's shoes: the standard 285/45 R20 costs from 27 thousand rubles. per tire. The tires I wanted - from 33 tr. and it's not at the dealer. I took a non-studded Continental 275/45 R20 for half the price - the size that was on the previous model. Now the mileage is about 5000 km - no problems. When traveling from St. Petersburg to Krasnodar, with a stop in V. Novgorod, the consumption was 10.3 liters. per 100 km at an average speed of 106 km/h over 1800 km of travel. During the entire trip, the police stopped a car without license plates only once. There were no breakdowns or problems.

Advantages : controllability. Options. Engine. Comfort.

Flaws : I haven’t discovered it yet.

Audi Q7, 2016

The car is not unique, but it is definitely one of the most advanced examples among its classmates. Among the advantages of the Audi Q7 are finishing materials and leather on the dashboard, doors, akin to Porsche, Alcantara on the ceiling, door closers and other luxury, and electronic assistants are even excessive. Massages, blowing and connecting with the cosmos and the next step of the pedestrian through thought. Wi-Fi in the car is really convenient. Closing and opening the trunk with your foot works every other time. When you work empty-handed, with a box in your hands you pretend that you are simply performing ballet “Pas”. Among the disadvantages of the Audi Q7, again, the excessive overload of the digital screen and the complex MMI logic. The wide, flattened steering wheel is also quite sharp on the side. Over long distances, it starts to “cut” your hands. In general, the car is certainly good, solid, and in terms of quality it leaps above its rivals

Advantages : modern. Beautiful. Comfortable.

Flaws : price.
