Basic or professional? The difference between the basic version of 1C and the professional version Comparison of versions of 1C accounting

When you are going to buy 1C, one of the first questions that arises is which version - basic or PROF - should be purchased. Let's look at the differences between 1C software products depending on their versions.

The 1C company provides its users with a choice of three versions of programs:

  • Basic

The main ones (1C: Accounting, 1C: Salaries and HR Management, 1C: Trade Management, 1C: Retail, etc.) have delivery options in the form of basic versions of programs.

Types of basic versions of 1C

Basic versions of 1C for accounting can be divided into three groups:

For accounting

For salary and personnel accounting

For management accounting / business management

1C: Accounting 8. Basic version

1C: Salaries and personnel management 8. Basic version

1C: Trade Management 8. Basic version. Edition 11

1C: Public Institution Accounting 8. Basic version

1C: Salaries and personnel of government institutions 8. Basic version

1C: Trade Management 8. Basic version

1C: Accounting of an autonomous institution 8. Basic version (self-accounting chart of accounts)

1C: Retail 8. Basic version

1C: Managing our company 8. Basic version

1C: Contractors 8. Basic version

Cost of basic versions of 1C

As a rule, basic versions of 1C programs are 2-3 times cheaper, but at the same time there are significant limitations in functionality.

Limitations on the functionality of basic versions of 1C

  1. Designed for one user only. Your business has grown and you decided to buy additional licenses? Alas, they will not work with such a program.
  2. You cannot connect the 1C:Link service for remote work. This service is useful if you often work from home or go on business trips.
  3. You can maintain an unlimited number of legal entities in different databases, but you cannot maintain several legal entities in one information database. If there are several legal entities, you will have to open several windows in the program and work in the databases in parallel.
  4. You cannot change the configuration to suit your own needs, that is, make modifications to the functionality. However, for regulated accounting in 1C: Accounting and 1C: Salary and HR management there is no particular need for modifications. But for 1C: Trade Management or 1C: Managing Our Company, the desire to change something in the program will inevitably arise sooner or later, because the business processes of companies are very different and the templates “hardwired” into the program may not be suitable.
  5. Basic versions are only available with PIN code protection. USB protection comes in PROF and CORP versions. The PIN code (electronic key) allows the program to be installed only three times on different computers; the USB key does not contain such restrictions. If the program will be used by different users on different PCs, and they can change, then the basic version is not your option.

Differences in service when purchasing basic versions of 1C.

  • When purchasing the basic version there is no free delivery and installation on the user's computer. Although most programs implemented in the basic version have an electronic delivery: you download the installation files from your personal account on the 1C website and install the program yourself. Documentation and accompanying materials for the program are also supplied in electronic form. Installing the program is intuitive, so you can do it easily.
  • The program must be updated independently only through your personal account on the 1C website. This is easy to do, just enable automatic updating.
  • A purchase is not required, so you will save on updates from 12,500 rubles per year (the cost of annual support for 1C ITS Techno).
  • To work, you will most likely need to purchase additional services. Desired minimum:
    • to submit reports. Costs 5,900 rubles. for Moscow per year.
    • - to check counterparties and automatically enter details. Costs 4,000 rubles. per year
    • - for exchanging documents with counterparties in electronic form. Costs 3,000 rubles. per year.

Limitations of basic versions of 1C:Enterprise 8 programs

Get access to the 1C:Fresh cloud for free for 30 days!

All of the following is true for Basic versions of standard 1C:Enterprise software products and for most joint specialized industry solutions on the 1C platform, which include the basic version of the 1C:Enterprise platform in the delivery package, but Basic versions of specialized configurations may have additional restrictions imposed by the developer at the configuration level .

In the price list of software products of the 1C:Enterprise system you can find Basic versions, which are several times cheaper PROF versions of software products of the same name, for example:

  • 1C: Management of a small company 8. Basic version
    etc.

Do you understand everything?

Unfortunately, many untrained users who are faced with choosing the appropriate version of the 1C program for the first time cannot always understand and correctly assess from this information which of the limitations are important for them and how critical they are when making a decision to purchase a software product.

Let's look at each of the points in more detail.
And let's start with the restrictions, in our opinion, the most important for the end user:

  1. Limited number of installations/activations of Basic versions of 1C:Enterprise programs
(only three activations: 1 main + 2 backup).
One of the most important differences between Basic versions of 1C is the limitation on the number of installations/reinstallations of the program. In basic versions of 1C programs, so-called electronic product licensing is used, with the program “linked” to a specific computer. Basic versions are supplied with a sealed envelope with a unique PIN code for obtaining an electronic license.
When you launch the program for the first time, you must activate it. The easiest and fastest way is to activate via the Internet; for this you need to ensure that the computer is connected to the 1C licensing center.
When activating the program, you must enter the PIN code from the envelope.
After checking the PIN code, the licensing center server scans the configuration of your computer and generates an electronic key (license) to run the program on your computer, and is “linked” to the parameters of this system unit (the electronic key is “linked” to the serial number of the motherboard, HDD , network card, Windows, RAM size, BIOS version, etc.), if you change any component of the computer configuration, the program stops working and requires re-activation.

Important! If the configuration is changed or the computer is replaced, re-activation for Basic versions is possible no more than two times!

This condition is an integral part of the license agreement and the user automatically accepts it when purchasing the software product (see the full text of the license agreement below). If it doesn't suit you, then choose another version.

More detailed instructions for installing and activating the basic version can be found.

Thus, if the program is expected to be reinstalled in the foreseeable future, then you should be prepared for the fact that it will stop working.

From the above, it also becomes clear that the Basic version is not suitable in cases where it is necessary to periodically transfer the program from computer to computer (for example, taking the program home from the office to work).

We recommend installing Basic versions of 1C on a laptop, because... laptops, as a rule, come with licensed Windows, they are rarely “upgraded” unless particularly necessary, and if you need to work in another place, you can easily take the program with you along with the laptop.

  2. Basic versions do not support configuration changes.
The PROF versions of 1C:Enterprise programs include development tools that allow, if necessary, to expand the existing functionality built into the system, create your own subsystems, business processes and accounting circuits to solve unique specific problems not implemented in standard configurations.
Those. PROF version allows the user to create new and edit the properties of existing metadata objects (for example, change the composition of details, the number of levels, etc. change the screen forms of documents, magazines and reference books); create additional documents, directories, journals, accounting registers in any necessary sections, change the business logic of the program, algorithms and behavior of system elements in the built-in language, and much more.
The basic versions do not have all these capabilities to change the standard configuration.
  3. In Basic versions you can only use a standard configuration.
This means that the Basic version does not work with archived copies of databases from the PROF version or other 1C programs, as well as with changed configurations.
Those. The basic version is not suitable for licensing a pirated version, as well as in many other cases where the use of existing information databases is intended, for example:
    - several companies worked together in one office using the same 1C program PROF version, and then dispersed, taking an archived copy of the database with accumulated credentials,
    - an external ("coming") accountant or outsourcing company that provides accounting services.

  4. Basic versions do not support accounting for several companies in one information base.
In the PROF version, you can manage several businesses in one database. This makes it possible to use general directories of items, counterparties, storage locations, MOL, etc. which allows you to receive reports both separately for each legal entity of the group of companies, and consolidated reports for all legal entities.
In the basic version, you can also keep records of several organizations, but for this you will need to create a separate database for each organization, and the information in different databases will not be connected in any way.
  5. In Basic versions, only one user can work with one infobase at a time.
The basic version does not work in network/multi-user mode. To be fair, it must be said that most PROF versions come with a license for only one computer, but for the PROF version it is possible to purchase additional client licenses for the required number of workstations and work over the network.
You cannot purchase additional client seats for the Basic version.
Even if you buy several Basic versions and install them on several computers, network work will not work, because Only one user can work with one database at a time.
  6. Basic versions do not support distributed infobases(RIB).
PROF versions have a module for managing distributed RIB information databases, which allows you to set up parallel work and exchange of information (in automatic or manual mode) between databases of identical 1C configurations installed in geographically remote departments (central office, remote accounting, branch, store, trading base , warehouse, sales representative and so on). When setting up an exchange, you can select documents according to various criteria: by legal entity, warehouse, etc.
There is no RIB in Basic versions.
  7. Basic versions do not support 1C:Link service
The 1C:Link service allows you to organize secure remote access to the information bases of your 1C program via the Internet via encrypted communication channels. .
  8. Basic versions do not support client-server operation.
For most users, the limitation is not critical. PROF versions of 1C programs can work in client-server mode under the most common DBMS (Microsoft SQL Server, Linux PostgreSQL, IBM DB2, Oracle Database), but this is required when working with a large number of users and/or with large volumes of information and is very unlikely. that it will be required by the Basic version user.
  9. Basic versions do not support COM connection and Automation server.
If you don't know what it is and what it's for, then most likely you won't need it.
In a nutshell for general education - the OLE Automation mechanism is one of the tools for integrating 1C software products with other software systems (for example, uploading/downloading data from MS Outlook, Excel, etc.).
  10. Basic versions do not support working with extensions.
The configuration expansion mechanism is a new mechanism for customizing standard 1C configurations, designed to modify an expandable configuration without changing this configuration (including without removing support). As a result, it remains easy to update a standard supported configuration.
  11. Basic versions do not support the provision of Internet services.
The web services mechanism is a means of supporting service-oriented architecture, which allows you to use the 1C:Enterprise system as a set of services in distributed systems and integrate it with other systems.
  12. The basic version does not require a mandatory paid subscription to ITS to receive updates.
Registered users of Basic versions of 1C programs can get free access to the 1C technical support site https://releases.1c.ru/ to independently download configuration and platform updates.
The Basic version package includes an envelope with a PIN code for registration on the 1C website.

Upgrade

For registered users of basic versions, there is the possibility of a preferential transition from Basic to PROF version of 1C:Enterprise, including the cost of the basic version (upgrade).

Thus, if necessary, the Basic version can be “upgraded” to the PRO version by paying only the difference in price +150 rubles.

For example, you purchased 1C: Accounting 8. Basic version. Its price list price is 4800 rubles.
After some time, the Basic version no longer suited you and you needed to exchange it for the PRO version.
The total cost of 1C: Accounting 8 PROF with a software license according to the price list is 13,000 rubles.
The cost of the additional payment will be 13,000 rubles. - 4800 rub. + 150 rub. = 8350 rub.

You can upgrade from the Basic version to PROF in our company, even if you purchased the Basic version from another organization. We can offer both electronic “boxless” deliveries and traditional boxes with books. The cost of electronic supplies corresponds to the boxed counterparts, but allows you to switch from the Basic version to the PROF almost instantly by downloading distribution kits and PIN codes for activation from the official 1C website. To expand the number of users, additional client licenses will be required, which are also available in both boxed and electronic versions.

Are you interested in the basic version or PRO?
-How are they different?

I recently heard such a dialogue in a company that services 1C, when I came to pick up my ITS disks.
“At the price,” answered the sales manager. Basically, that was all he could answer clearly.
I really wanted to take the tube away and tell you what the difference is between these two versions, which are similar, like twins.

Undoubtedly, the manager is right - price is an important criterion for buyers. After all, the basic version costs 3 times less than the PRO version. And many people rush for cheap prices, sometimes not entirely justified.
I learned the difference between these two programs from my own experience and found 6 differences.
Well, the first thing is the same notorious price.

The second difference is user performance.
It happened in a kindergarten where 2 accountants worked. Each had their own program. And then the reporting period suddenly began. The poor workers did not have time to enter documents, and decided to divide them, that is, work together in one program. With the words “Now I will supply everything for you, and you will work,” I rushed into battle. But that was not the case! As it turned out, the program categorically refused to run in the second session if the first one was still running. And then I realized that the first difference justifies the second - only one user can work.

After this incident, I was sure: users are the only difference between the two versions, until a friend asked me to see what kind of error her favorite program was writing. I no longer remember the essence of the error, but I couldn’t find a solution on my own. Turning to Google, I discovered that this was a developer error that migrates from version to version. A solution to correct the code was kindly proposed on the 1C forums. Again, I boldly decided to remove the configuration from support and start making corrections. And again - failure. This is how the third difference between the basic and PRO versions appeared on my list: the basic version is not available for changes.

The fourth difference made me very happy, as it concerned updates. Once I had to visit a small company that was cleaning the territory. They asked me to do an update. As a law-abiding citizen, I immediately asked for ITS disks. To which I received the answer “We don’t have them.” I was about to leave, but the accountant said that they had a password for the website with updates. Then I thought, there is no ITS, but there is access. Having called the program suppliers, it turned out that to update the basic version you do not need to buy ITS at the price of the program, or even more, everything was provided for free. Plus the fourth difference is in my collection.

Another incident occurred quite recently. I was contacted by a company that reinstalled the operating system. They had an archived database on their computer, but they lost all the keys and PIN codes. Therefore, they begged us to install a 1C broken line. Again refusing to break the law, I offered to buy the program. Having heard that there were 2 versions, they replied that they had the simplest one. Well, I advised you to buy the same one, that is, the basic one.

After installing the platform, I discovered that their database requires a PIN code for the PRO version. This company really asked me to at least just transfer the data. In general, through various manipulations, I transferred the PROF version to the basic one. And then another “jamb” happened. It turns out that the company had a visiting accountant who uploaded his work to their database. That is, the previous database was distributed. With the new one, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t do anything. Thus, in the basic version it is not possible to configure a distributed database.

The sixth difference was the only one for which I found a solution. Namely: an accountant from one company wanted to run another company. To avoid having ten windows open, she decided to run everything in one program. But as it turned out, the basic version categorically refused to add another company. I had to add another database and work in them one by one.

Having analyzed my limited experience. I decided to look on the Internet to see how much more I would have to experience. And it turned out to be not much at all:
1) I will not be able to connect the client-server option;
2) I won't be able to create a COM connection.

But it is always easy to get out of the situation, since at any time you can update the basic version to PROF, but only with the consent of the customers. After all, the PRO version will bring with it additional costs for the mandatory ITS disks.

Many solutions have been developed based on the 1C:Enterprise 8 technology platform. Accounting applications are critical to modern business, needed by both small businesses and large corporations. Accounting applications exist in three versions, differing in their capabilities: "1C:Accounting 8 BASIC", "1C: Accounting 8 PROF" And "1C:Accounting 8 CORP". These versions have both common features and differences.

The available features for a particular version determine its scope. The more features a version has, the more types of businesses this version is intended for. The absence of some features narrows the scope of the program.

Before moving on to considering the differences between versions of the 1C: Accounting 8 program on the website, we will describe the features that are common and present in each of the versions under consideration.

Basic configuration options Accounting 8

Both the PROF version and the CORP version are built on the basis of the basic accounting version. They are ready-made solutions for accounting and tax accounting. As a ready-made solution, they allow you to work with accounting and tax reporting documents; compilation of tax accounting for income tax; support tax accounting according to the simplified tax system and UTII schemes; provide batch accounting for various groups of goods.

When working with counterparties and organizations, all versions can set up accounting for settlements and inventory accounts. For different organizations, versions make it possible to maintain different information databases.

The PROF and CORP versions (in addition to the basic ones) have other features available through expanded functionality of the software.

Common features of the PROF and CORP versions

For large enterprises, it is typical to work with many organizations or contractors. Accounting for the activities of an enterprise will be easier when using a unified information base of organizations. Obtaining any reference information becomes more convenient if you search for data in one database, rather than switching between many different sources. The ability to use a single database of enterprises is implemented in the PROF and KORP versions. For large enterprises, one has to take into account many specific tasks specific to this particular enterprise. To solve such problems, the versions under consideration provide the ability to configure an application solution. In large enterprises, the number of personnel working with 1C: Accounting 8 software solutions can be large. The versions under consideration support multi-user operation, including using client-server technologies.

Large enterprises and organizations may have divisions located in different buildings, including those located remote from each other. Such units often use independent information databases with information related to the area of direct responsibility of the unit. Versions PROF and KORP support working with distributed information bases and contain all functional solutions that allow you to collect and process information on geographically distributed units.

PROF and KORP allow you to connect third-party solutions to existing software by supporting the use of a COM connection and an Automation server. For these versions, the popular ability to connect to the software in WEB client mode has been created.

Distinctive features of the CORP version

The CORP version will be convenient for large companies, as it supports all the features of the PROF version, and also allows you to keep records not only for the enterprise as a whole, but also for its separate divisions. Separate accounting can be maintained by divisions, both allocated and not allocated to a separate balance sheet.

By purchasing version 1C:Accounting 8 CORP, departments can have their own address and telephone numbers. For such divisions, the names of responsible persons and other data displayed in printed forms of documents processed by a separate division may be indicated.

Between separate divisions with separate balance sheets, the CORP version supports accounting document flow. All tax accounting of such divisions is carried out in accordance with current legislation.

For the CORP version, special methods for preparing analytical information have been developed; in particular, standard analytical reports can be obtained both for divisions allocated and not allocated to a separate balance sheet.

It is also possible on our website in the “1C: Accounting 8” section.

Leave your name and phone number, an operator will contact you during business hours within 2 hours.

1C programs are offered in several versions, but it is not always clear how exactly they differ from each other. If everything is clear with configurations and editions - the more recent, the more convenient and productive the program is, then what is the difference between the basic, PROF and CORP versions is not clear. If you intend to buy the 1C basic version, you need to know what advantages the more “advanced” versions have.

The difference between 1C versions

The first difference that catches your eye is the cost of the different versions. will cost several times more than the basic version - the difference is approximately 3-4 times, and CORP, in turn, is even more expensive. So, the basic version of 1C: Accounting 8 costs 2,700-3,300 rubles, and the PROF version with ITS for 3 months costs 13,000 - 16,200 rubles, CORP 33,600 - 38,500 rubles.

The price was influenced by the different functionality of these versions. It is quite logical that the CORP version provides the most opportunities, followed by PROF and the user of the basic version will receive the least. However, this does not mean that its functionality is reduced - here you can do everything the same, but there are other restrictions on use (only 1C: Trade 11 basic is greatly reduced compared to other versions of the program and some functions are not available in it). If at some point you decide it's time to grow, you can quickly move from lower versions to more advanced ones, moving back is more difficult and more time-consuming, and paying for the transition to a basic version will erase all the savings. But if you need to switch from the basic version to the PROF or CORP version, then the cost of the client license will be taken into account when purchasing a new one, which will allow you to get the advanced version at a discount. Similar to basic and 1C Accounting, it is simplified and can also be changed to another with an additional payment.

When purchasing the basic version, you must remember that only 3 electronic ones are attached to the license and you can work in the program only on those computers where the key was once entered - you cannot change the machine. In other versions, the key is hardware and can be used on any workstation without restrictions. In addition, in basic 1C it is not possible for several employees to simultaneously work on the network - if the database is loaded on one of the computers, it is impossible to log into it from another. There is no such limitation in other versions - they have a multi-user operating mode. and completely allows you to automate accounting in different separate departments.

There are other differences, for example, the basic version cannot be modified to suit your needs and no changes can be made to it, except for standard updates. By the way, updates within the framework of ITS are carried out free of charge for owners of the basic version - just download the next update from the Internet and download it yourself on your computer. In the PROF and CORP versions, you need to pay for a subscription to the ITS and invite a service specialist to support 1C.

If you have only one accountant or several employees who are ready to work in 1C at different times, then it is better to choose the basic version and save money both when purchasing and maintaining the program, but if the scale of activity is larger, then you should choose versions that allow network work of several users simultaneously in one database.
