What is the real fuel consumption of the Lada Largus: according to the passport (technical characteristics), but in real life? Gasoline consumption on various configurations of the Lada Largus. Passport data regarding the fuel consumption of the Lada Largus.

The exterior of the Lada Largus is quite attractive for its class. It is affordable, spacious, and has the large dimensions of a compact van. Moreover, the Largus cross version is almost 5 cm higher, and it also has significantly more ground clearance. The front part has a simple architecture, expressive headlights, a modest trapezoidal grille with chrome molding and the same front bumper with a slight hint of sportiness, which is achieved through the central air intake and side fog lights with decorative inserts. The off-road version has powerful protection around the entire perimeter of the body, including stronger front and rear bumpers. In profile you can see significantly flared wheel arches, roof rails and a large luggage compartment or space for a third row of seats. The rear is completely vertical with vertical taillights and various decorative inserts that highlight the rear door handle quite nicely. Additional fog lights are located in the bumper area.

The interior of the Lada Largus is very simple. This is due to the fact that the car is budget. Despite the fact that it is classified as a C-class, it is a real B-class. The quality of materials corresponds to the price of the car, but despite this, decorative inserts are still used in the cabin. They highlight door panels, air ducts and some architectural elements. The instrument panel consists of two instruments and an on-board computer screen. The steering wheel is three-spoke, normal. The center console houses the audio system and the climate control panel. The front seats have lateral support, but not the most serious. The rear row of seats has a lot of space for passengers, and in the case of three rows of seats, there is also a lot of space. The luggage compartment is 560 liters with a 5-seater cabin and 135 with a 7-seat cabin. If you fold the seats, the volume increases to an impressive volume of 2350 liters.

Lada Largus - advantages

Lada Largus is a very spacious and roomy car. It is affordable, does not have the highest price, but is very affordable and quite functional. First of all, it is one of the most affordable in its class. Secondly, it was created for an urban environment, and the presence of an off-road version allows it to be used in the suburbs, as well as on light off-road conditions.

From a technical point of view, the car is also good. With the older engine, good dynamics are obtained. The suspension and long wheelbase provide good road stability and energy efficiency on poor road surfaces.

Lada Largus - possible competitors

Lada Largus has practically no competitors in its price category.

Kia Ceed - the station wagon version once again shows that Largus is different from other cars in this body and is more reminiscent of a compact van. The Kia Sid has more powerful engines, less space due to a lower roof, and it is also much more expensive, but it is also much better equipped.

Peugeot Partner Tepee is an expensive, spacious and functional compact van. Much more expensive car. Looks much better from the exterior point of view. The interior of the cabin is also quite good. Available with 5 and 7 rows of seats. Shows good dynamic performance.

Citroen C4 Picasso - it can also be called a mixture of a compact van and a station wagon, or a hatchback. It has similar dimensions. The exterior is very impressive as is the interior which looks fantastic. The engines are dynamic and show very low fuel consumption. Many orders of magnitude more expensive than Largus. But at the same time it surpasses him in everything.

Lada Largus - fuel consumption

Two gasoline engines combined with a manual transmission provide average fuel consumption. At 100 km in the combined cycle, the younger engine shows 8.2 liters. The older engine is slightly smaller - 7.9 liters.

Owner review

Lada Largus cross 2017

I read the reasoning of potential buyers of this model and am simply blown away by their reasoning! You've never ridden it! A station wagon and a crossover are not just a difference in price, you get a body kit that saves you from additional costs on paintwork, R16 wheels and a ground clearance of up to 210 mm protection. I took the Largus Cross 2017 because at least it looks like a car. In general, I need an inexpensive and new family car instead of the Lada Priora, adapted to our conditions.

The 1.6 engine purrs quietly, acceleration to 100 is good. The gearbox has clear shifts, but 6th gear is not enough on the highway. Fuel consumption in the combined cycle pleased me - 7.5-8 l/100 km. The handling is excellent, in combination with the omnivorous suspension I enjoy it.

I bought it at the dealership, it was processed quickly, and the inspection revealed no defects. There are gaps in the plastic body kit, but all the examples in the parking lot had them. You can’t count on the comfort of a VAZ, but there are many advantages here. Inside the Lada Largus Cross 2017 in a new body for all occasions in life. The spirit of domestic production is felt everywhere (hard and cheap plastic, boring interior). The seats are moderately hard, the 3rd row can be easily removed, the 2nd row lacks transformation options. The gallery is generally cool, children and women feel comfortable there. The front is more comfortable than the Priora. There is a climate, but the handles are like on a Soviet gas stove. Luxury multimedia - I already want to get rid of it. The sound is bad, bluetooth doesn't work well.

Intermediate maintenance-0 (2600 km) - changed the oil to lukoil genesis 5w40, the gasket to the drain plug Sasic 1640540 and the original filter No. 77 00 274 177. This is not necessary, but it won’t hurt. I paid 2570 rubles for everything. Replaced the uninformative plastic oil dipstick with a metal one - 185 rubles. Made complete sound insulation, it became much more comfortable. That Lada Largus Cross 2017 reviews criticize it for its bad noise, here I agree. I installed a central armrest from China with 3 USB - price 1300 rubles. There is no cabin filter at all. I'm glad that it has time-tested parts from Logan.

I warn future owners about a common mistake made by assemblers - the coil of wires to the headlight rubs against the engine belt. You will learn about this from the smell of burning rubber, then some turn signals or headlights will not work. It's easy to prevent - there is a clip that doesn't stay in place, or they forgot to put it in (and that will do), or this place is blocked.

The Lada Largus car is very popular among fans of such car models. The design, equipment and fuel consumption of the Lada Largus differ by 100 km from previous Lada models.

New generation Lada

The presentation of Lada Largus, which is a joint project of VAZ and Renault, took place in 2011. The purpose of inventing this version of the Lada was to make the 2006 Dacia Logan similar to the Romanian car, suitable for Russian roads.

The technical characteristics of the Lada Largus, fuel consumption and maximum speed are almost the same for all models. The main configuration parameters include:

  • Front-wheel drive;
  • 1.6 liter engine;
  • 5-speed manual transmission;
  • The fuel used is gasoline;

Each car has an 8- and 16-valve engine, except for the Cross version. It is equipped only with a 16-valve engine. The maximum speed of the car is 156 km/h (with engine power of 84, 87 horsepower) and 165 km/h (engine with 102 and 105 horsepower). Acceleration to 100 kilometers is carried out in 14.5 and 13.5 seconds, respectively.. The average fuel consumption of Largus per 100 km in the combined cycle is 8 liters.

Types of Lada Largus

The Lada Largus car has several modifications: the passenger R90 station wagon (for 5 and 7 seats), the F90 cargo van and the all-terrain station wagon (Lada Largus Cross). Each version of the vase is equipped with an engine with different power and number of valves.

Fuel costs.

Fuel consumption varies for each Largus model. And the Ministry of Transport calculates the indicators relative to the standard fuel consumption for the Lada Largus under ideal driving conditions. Therefore, official data often differs from real figures.

Fuel consumption for 8-valve models

Engines of this type include cars with engine power of 84 and 87 horsepower. According to official statistics, gasoline consumption on the 8-valve Lada Largus is 10.6 liters in the city, 6.7 liters on the highway and 8.2 liters with mixed driving. The actual figures for gasoline costs look a little different. A review of numerous reviews from owners of this car has the following results: City driving consumes 12.5 liters, suburban driving about 8 liters and in the combined cycle - 10 liters.

Winter driving increases fuel consumption, especially in severe frosts, and it increases by an average of 2 liters.

Fuel consumption of a 16-valve engine

The car’s engine with a power of 102 horsepower is equipped with 16 valves, so the fuel consumption rate of the Lada Largus per 100 km is characterized by an increase in its performance.

As a result, in the city it is 10.1 liters, on the highway about 6.7 liters, and in the combined cycle it reaches 7.9 liters per 100 km

Regarding real data taken from VAZ driver forums, the actual fuel consumption on the 16 valve Lada Largus is as follows: urban driving “consumes” 11.3 liters, on the highway it increases to 7.3 liters and in mixed driving – 8.7 liters per 100 km.

Factors increasing gasoline costs

  • The main reasons for consuming more fuel are:
  • An important point is the use of additional electrical equipment or unnecessary track lighting. They promote the combustion of large quantities of gasoline in a short time.
  • The driving style of the car owner is considered the main factor that affects the gasoline consumption of Lada Largus of all models. To avoid such problems, you need to drive smoothly and brake slowly.

Lada Largus Cross

A new, modernized version of the Lada Largus was released in 2014. According to many car enthusiasts, this model is considered the Russian prototype of an SUV. And some technical characteristics and equipment contribute to this.

The basic fuel consumption rate of the Lada Largus on the highway is 7.5 liters, city driving “consumes” 11.5 liters, and mixed driving – 9 liters per 100 km. Regarding gasoline consumption in reality, real fuel consumption at Largus Cross increases by an average of 1-1.5 liters

"LADA Largus" is a small-class budget station wagon, developed by AvtoVAZ OJSC together with specialists from the Renault-Nissan concern. Externally similar to the popular Dacia Logan MCV model, the car is fully adapted to domestic operating conditions. The modern exterior, spacious interior and large trunk volume fully satisfy the requirements of the average family that needs a versatile and relatively inexpensive passenger car.

One of the most important performance characteristics of the LADA Largus family station wagon is, without a doubt, gas mileage, which largely depends on the type of installed power unit and driving style.

Engines

LADA Largus cars are equipped with 4-cylinder engines with a cylinder capacity of 1.6 liters:

  • K7M - 8-valve engine with 84 hp. pp., which is produced at the Automobile Dacia plant (Romania) of the Renault concern.
  • K4M - 16-valve power unit with a capacity of 105 hp. pp., manufactured at the Renault Espana plant; The K4M power unit is also assembled at AvtoVAZ OJSC. In terms of ecology, it now complies with EURO-5 standards, but at the same time it has lost a little in power (102 hp) and torque (145 Nm).
  • VAZ-11189 is a domestic 8-valve engine with a power of 87 hp. With.

Fuel consumption during its operation largely depends on which power unit is installed on a particular modification of the LADA Largus.

"LADA Largus" with K7M engine

LADA Largus with a K7M engine is capable of reaching a speed of about 155 km/h. The car accelerates to a speed of 100 km/h in 16.5 seconds. Standard fuel consumption is, l/100 km:

  • in the urban cycle - 12.3;
  • on the highway - 7.5;
  • in mixed mode - 7.2.

"Lada Largus" with K4M engine

The K4M power unit allows the LADA Largus to accelerate to 100 km/h in 13.5 seconds. The maximum speed is 165 km/h. Standard gasoline consumption for this model, l/100 km:

  • in the urban cycle - 11.8;
  • on the highway - 6.7;
  • in mixed mode - 8.4.

"LADA Largus" with a VAZ-11189 power unit

LADA Largus, powered by a domestic VAZ-11189 engine, accelerates to a speed of 100 km/h in 15.4 seconds, and its maximum speed is 157 km/h. Standard fuel consumption, l/100 km:

  • in the urban cycle - 12.4;
  • on the highway - 7.7;
  • in mixed mode - 7.0.

Real fuel consumption

In practice, the fuel consumption of LADA Largus can significantly exceed standard values. This is largely due to:

  • engine run-in mode;
  • aggressive driving style associated with frequent braking and acceleration;
  • the use of various types of installed electrical equipment, especially air conditioning, during the operation of which fuel consumption increases by approximately 1 l/100 km;
  • engine malfunction;
  • poor quality fuel;
  • operation of the car in the cold season.

There are a number of other, at first glance, insignificant factors that increase fuel consumption during operation of the LADA Largus.

How fuel consumption changes during a real trip in a LADA Largus car can be seen in the video:

In addition, the gasoline consumption of LADA Largus strongly depends on its driving mode in the traffic on the road.

Gasoline consumption on the highway

In order to determine the real fuel consumption when operating the LADA Largus in highway conditions, you need to constantly monitor its speed. As a rule, on any highway there are traffic lights, signs limiting speed and prohibiting overtaking. Thus, the car on different sections of the highway moves at different speeds (from 40 to 130 km/h), and the average speed of a car such as LADA Largus does not exceed 77 km/h.

Important! An analysis of reviews from drivers who operated a LADA Largus car in highway conditions demonstrates that gasoline consumption per 100 km is on average 7.2 liters.

Fuel consumption in urban conditions

A driver who decides to check how much fuel his LADA Largus actually consumes must consciously:

  • get stuck in traffic jams;
  • leave when city streets are at their busiest;
  • stand at traffic lights;
  • Always use air conditioning, etc.

In such conditions, according to statistics, the LADA Largus consumes up to 13.3 liters of fuel per 100 km. mileage If the driver prefers to drive in an aggressive manner (fast acceleration - sharp braking), then the gasoline consumption of his Largus will be significantly higher.

Additional Information

Surveys conducted on the Internet among Lada Largus owners showed that:

  • 33% of respondents voted for fuel consumption of 8...9 l/100 km;
  • 26% of votes received gasoline consumption of 9...10 l/100 km;
  • 15% of owners noted fuel consumption in the range of 10...11 l/100 km;
  • 10% of survey participants voted for fuel consumption at the level of 7...8 and 11...12 l/100 km.

For Lada Largus, fuel consumption per 100 km according to the passport is 10 liters. And this is an urban cycle, not a mixed cycle or anything else. We're talking about a 16 valve here. So, according to BC data, at first the car consumed 12 liters, and after a week the consumption was 10.5 liters, but this is already a mixed cycle. According to the passport it is 7.9. Question: what's wrong? Maybe VAZ BC is just lying?

You need to understand: not a single manufacturer indicates real fuel consumption figures. We are talking about measurements carried out according to a certain method, in order to then use the result to compare cars, different configurations, etc.

Improving your driving style in the first month of running-in

After running-in, fuel consumption on the Lada Largus can be 7 or less than 7 liters per hundred. Here we are talking about highway driving and a 16-valve engine.

The photos shown above are screenshots of the BC display of a real car. We don’t need to falsify the results; besides, these results do not reach the “passport” level.

Passport data on gasoline consumption of a Lada Largus car

For example, consider and compare two tables. One will indicate the fuel consumption of the Lada Largus, the other will show the figures for the Dacia Loan MCV station wagon.

Above are the data from AvtoVAZ, and in the following table are the figures announced by Renault.

Let's analyze what we see:

  • Lada Largus and Dacha Logan MCV are the same car. In the version with a 16-valve internal combustion engine, the consumption must be the same, that is, the numbers in the top line of the two tables must coincide. But there are differences here, and noticeable ones.
  • None of the tables should be used as a guide during operation. However, the passport data still contains useful information: you can compare different configurations, as well as indicators “for the city” and “for the highway.”

How to use tables? Example 1

A reader asked whether fuel consumption was too high, that is, whether it complied with the standards. For the Lada Largus, fuel consumption standards are not given anywhere, just like for any other car. Now let’s look at how to use passport data:

  1. Suppose that when driving along the highway, the BC showed a consumption of 7.4 liters. We find our configuration in the table, we see the number 6.7 there. Then there will be a proportion: 6.7 is to 7.4, as 10.1 is to X.
  2. The number X is 11.2 - this is the consumption rate in the city, but only for this car, for which the readings on the highway were “7.4”.

A car with the parameters that were indicated actually exists. Its mileage is 30,000 km.

Test Largus with K4M engine

Let's use tables again for our own purposes. Example 2

Motor 11189 – more economical than the “French”K7 M». Proof:

  1. We take any column from the Renault table;
  2. We normalize the top number to the VAZ numbers: 7.9 is related to 7.5, as 8.2 is related to X.
  3. X = 8.6. This value would have been obtained if one technique had been used for the K7M engines - the same as for the ICE 11189 and K4M (top table).

The number 8.6 is greater than 8.2. So we compared the two motors. In reality, fuel consumption for the Lada Largus will be different, whether with a VAZ or with a French 8-valve.

About reducing fuel consumption during the running-in process

Read more about how to reduce consumption on a Lada Largus in the material:

Imagine: there is a certain test route on which measurements are taken. As mileage increases, efficiency changes:

  • For a mileage of 30,000 km, the figure will be 9.3 liters per 100 km;
  • For 60,000 km on the same route, different figures will be obtained - 8.3 liters per 100 km.

Based on these numbers, you can roughly judge when the run-in ends.

All figures given above refer to a real-life car with a K4M engine.

Consumption in the city for a 16-valve Lada Largus, example in video
