If the pressure is not displayed after the car is stopped, the message “Drive to display” is displayed, check the tire pressure after driving.

Tire pressures shown may differ from those measured with a tire pressure gauge.

Tire pressure units can be changed in the user settings on the instrument cluster.

Tire pressure monitoring system

ATTENTION
Over- or under-inflation can shorten tire life, adversely affect vehicle handling, and lead to sudden tire failure, which can lead to loss of control and an accident.

In cold weather, each tire pressure should be checked monthly, including the spare wheel (if equipped), and, if necessary, the tire pressure should be adjusted to the manufacturer's recommended pressure level (indicated on the vehicle and tire pressure information plates).

Note
If the vehicle is fitted with tires that have a different size from the size indicated on the plates, it is necessary to determine the appropriate pressure level for them.

As an additional safety feature, the vehicle may be equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) that provides an indication of a significant reduction in pressure in one or more tires using a low tire pressure warning light. If the low tire pressure warning light comes on, you should stop the vehicle as soon as possible, check the condition of the tires and bring them to the correct pressure level. Continued driving with low tire pressure can cause overheating and mechanical failure of the tires.

Under-inflated tires will increase fuel consumption, shorten tire life, and may affect vehicle handling and stopping distance.

The vehicle is also equipped with a TPMS malfunction indicator to check if the system is working properly. The TPMS malfunction indicator is integrated with the low tire pressure indicator. When the system detects a problem, the indicator flashes for approximately one minute, then stays on. This sequence will continue after subsequent vehicle starts, as long as the fault exists.

When the fault indicator light is on, the system may not be able to detect or signal low tire pressure as it should. A malfunctioning TPMS system can be caused by a variety of reasons, including fitting or changing tires/wheels.

Always check the TPMS malfunction indicator light after changing or swapping one or more tires/wheels to make sure the TPMS is working.

Note
Contact your nearest authorized HYUNDAI dealer and have the system checked if one of the following situations occurs.
1. The low tire pressure/malfunction TPMS indicator does not come on within three seconds after the ignition switch is turned to the "ON" position or the engine is started.
2. The TPMS malfunction indicator stays on after flashing for approximately one minute.
3. Low tire position indicator stays on.

Low tire position indicator and tire pressure indicator

When the tire pressure monitoring system warning lights are on, it means that one or more tires are inflated significantly below the recommended pressure. The low pressure wheel position indicator device indicates which tire is under-inflated by turning on the corresponding position lamp.

Inflate them to the correct pressure as indicated on the vehicle information plate or the tire pressure information decal located on the outer panel of the B-pillar on the driver's side.

The low tire pressure indicator will be on and the TPMS malfunction indicator may flash for one minute and then stay on (at vehicle speed over 25 km/h for approximately 20 minutes) until the tire is low. pressure will not be repaired and installed back on the vehicle.

The spare wheel is not equipped with a tire pressure sensor.

TPMS system malfunction indicator (tire pressure monitoring system)

In the event of a tire pressure monitoring system malfunction, the low pressure indicator will flash for one minute and then turn on continuously.

In this case, you should contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer as soon as possible to check the system.

Note
In the event of a malfunction in the TPMS system, the low pressure indicator will not be displayed even if the vehicle's tire pressure is insufficient.
The TPMS malfunction indicator may also come on after flashing for approximately one minute when driving near power cables or radio transmitters, such as near a motor vehicle inspection post, government agencies, broadcasting stations, military installations, airports, transmitting stations, etc.
In addition, the TPMS malfunction indicator may illuminate when snow chains or electronic devices (computers, chargers, remote starters, sat-nav, etc.) are used. This may interfere with the normal operation of the TPMS.

If a tire is flat, "Low Tire Pressure" will light up. Have a flat tire repaired by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer as soon as possible, or replace the wheel.

ATTENTION
Do not use puncture repair products not approved by your HYUNDAI dealer to repair and/or inflate a low pressure tire. Tire sealant not approved by your HYUNDAI dealer may damage the tire pressure sensor.

The spare wheel (if equipped) is not equipped with a pressure sensor. When replacing a low pressure (flat) tire with a spare, the low tire pressure indicator device will remain on.

The TPMS malfunction indicator also stays on after flashing for approximately one minute if the vehicle is driven at approximately 25 km/h for approximately 20 minutes.

After inflating an original tire equipped with a pressure monitoring sensor to the recommended pressure and installing it on the vehicle, the low tire pressure indicator and the TPMS malfunction indicator will turn off a few minutes after driving.

If the indicators do not turn off after a few minutes, contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

Each wheel is equipped with an air pressure sensor installed in the tire behind the valve stem (except for the spare wheel). TPMS compatible wheels must be used. We recommend that you always have your tires serviced by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

Always use a working pressure gauge for measurement. Please note that the pressure in a hot tire (after driving) will be higher than in a cold one.

Note
The term "cold tire" means that the vehicle has been idle for three hours or traveled less than 1 mile (1.6 km) in a three hour period. Let the tire cool down before measuring the pressure. Always make sure that the tire is cold before inflating to the recommended pressure.
ATTENTION
- The TPMS is not designed to alert you to sudden tire damage caused by external factors such as sharp objects on the road.
- If the vehicle's behavior on the road becomes unstable, immediately take your foot off the gas pedal, depress the brake pedal smoothly and with little force, and slowly bring the vehicle to a safe position on the road.
- Improper use, modification, or disabling of tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) components may affect the system's ability to notify the driver of a low tire pressure or malfunction of the TPMS system. Improper use, modification, or disabling of tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) components may void your vehicle's warranty.
- Do not modify the vehicle as this may affect the functionality of the TPMS system.
- Wheels available on the market are not equipped with TPMS sensors. To ensure safety, it is recommended to use replacement parts from an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
- If commercially available wheels are used, HYUNDAI dealer-approved TPMS sensors must be used. If the vehicle is not equipped with a TPMS sensor or the TPMS system is not working properly, the vehicle may not pass the required technical inspection.

The normal tire pressure for the Hyundai Crete is 2.3 + 0.7 kg / cm2. This applies to 16" and 17" elements. But the Korean developers decided not to stop there, equipping the top version of the Hyundai Greta with the SV dashboard. Hyundai Creta sensors are very delicate, so problems often arise with them. It is not recommended to replace the tires of a Korean crossover on your own - it is better to entrust the work to professionals who have the skills to install pressure sensors. If you disable the measuring components or install tires without them, then the light on the instrument panel will constantly display a malfunction.
