"Gazelle"- a series of Russian light vehicles produced at the Gorky Automobile Plant since July 20, 1994.

The assembly of cars of the Gazelle family from Russian car kits (“screwdriver assembly”) was also carried out at several enterprises of the CIS countries and far abroad. In January 2003, the GAZelle family was restyled and outwardly differed from the early series with new plumage, a radiator grille (in 2000-2003 it consisted of 12 plastic squares in a common chrome-plated frame, until 2000 the grille was completely plastic), a bumper and lighting equipment ( before restyling, the headlights were rectangular). In August 2005, the millionth GAZelle was produced.

GAZelle cars belong to class N1 (M2) with a maximum permitted weight not exceeding 3500 kg, which allows them to be driven (except for minibuses) with a driving license of a “car” category “B”; also, the GAZelle is not subject to the restriction of the sign 3.4 “Traffic traffic is prohibited” (provided that the mass is not indicated on the sign itself). However, in Moscow, the GAZelle is subject to the requirements for permits and passes for cargo transportation within the Third Transport Ring [ ] . To drive a GAZelle passenger minibus, a “bus” category “D1” is required.

Since February 2010, the production of a qualitatively improved version of the Gazelle-Business car began (the second restyling of the Gazelle); sales at official dealers started on February 25 .

Story

Serial production of the first generation of GAZ minibuses was launched in March 1996. It was opened by the basic 8-seater minibus GAZ-3221 GAZelle with a wheelbase of 2900 mm. This range also includes a more comfortable version of the GAZ-32212 with 8 wide velor passenger seats (to the right of the driver - a 1-seater seat with an armrest), a service GAZ-32213 with 13 seats with headrests (next to the driver - a 2-seater non-adjustable seat, as on cargo models) and the GAZ-322132 fixed-route taxi with a different layout and interior trim, leatherette seats without head restraints and special handrails for standing passengers, which also serve as body amplifiers.

In 1999, all-wheel drive modifications GAZ-3221, GAZ-32217, GAZ-322172 and GAZ-322173 for 8, 6 and 13 seats, respectively, were launched into the series, designed for rural areas. In the early 2000s, similar all-wheel drive modifications were created on the basis of the GAZ-22177 and GAZ-22171 Sobol series. Externally, GAZ all-wheel drive buses can be distinguished by the presence of a front drive axle housing, oversized wheels with an "all-terrain" tread pattern and brought to 190 mm ground clearance.

Until 2005, Gazelle minibuses were mainly equipped with carburetor engines of the Zavolzhsky Motor Plant with a working volume of 2.3 and 2.45 liters with a capacity of 90-110 liters. With. Subsequently, a 2.5-liter ZMZ-405 injection engine was installed until the GAZ Group bought the Ulyanovsk Motor Plant. The Zavolzhsky Motor Plant was transferred to the Sollers company. In terms of reliability and engine life, the ZMZ-405 engine was the most successful for the Gazelle. By order, a licensed 95-horsepower 2.1-liter diesel GAZ-560 Steyr (Stayer) was offered with a turbocharger and 110l / s with a turbocharger and an intercooler (intercooler). Its use made it possible to reduce fuel consumption by an average of 26%, but cars with such an expensive engine (with a low degree of localization) turned out to be too expensive for the Russian market of that time and were mainly exported. Shuttle taxis used a 98-horsepower 2.89-liter carburetor engine UMZ-4215 of the Ulyanovsk Motor Plant, designed to run on AI-80 low-octane gasoline and did not provide sufficiently high dynamic performance when operating at full load, which nevertheless made it possible to reduce operational expenses. On the basis of minibuses, serial production of ambulances of the GAZ-32214 series with a standard roof height and GAZ-32216 with a "high" plastic roof was launched.

On October 16, 2013, at the GasSUF International Exhibition, GAZ Group presented a new GAZelle-Business CNG vehicle with UMZ-421647 dual-fuel engines running on compressed natural gas (methane) and gasoline. The Gorky Automobile Plant in the same year began mass production of this model. At the end of 2013, the Interbrand agency, according to azgaz.ru, recognized GAZelle as the strongest Russian car brand, valuing it at 32.3 billion rubles.

In the spring of 2014, the production of small buses (A63R42 / A64R42) with frame-panel bodies based on the reinforced GAZelle-Next chassis began. The subfamily of elongated GAZelles, including the onboard version, made it possible, to some extent, to close the market niche between GAZelle and Valdai. However, the carrying capacity of the Gazelle remains insufficient, especially for long-wheelbase and diesel versions, so for 2011 the release of a 2-ton version (gross weight 4.5 tons) with a reinforced rear axle was announced. In 1994-2006, modification 33021 was made with carburetor engines of the ZMZ-402 family. The gas-cylinder modification GAZ-33025 (for the CIS) was developed in 1995, but began to be mass-produced only in May 2010, already in the third restyled version. Previously, due to difficulties with factory certification of the gas-balloon version, the entire, fairly solid fleet of gasified Gazelles was equipped with gas-balloon equipment solely due to the efforts of small specialized firms working on individual orders of the owners - respectively, with the loss of the factory warranty.

It differs from the base model in the layout of the cabin, additional amplifiers in the cabin. Since 2005, all factory "minibuses" are painted in a special color ("golden orange") and equipped with an upgraded interior heater and ABS. At the request of the customer, the minibus can be equipped with a high roof and a hinged door (version 322133). In connection with the claims of the authorities and the public regarding the level of passive safety of GAZelle fixed-route taxis, the manufacturer has developed new modifications: 12-seat 32212 (for the city) and 10-seat 32211 (for suburban routes) with all seats equipped with inertial seat belts, and a sliding door with an electric drive. In connection with the increasing cases of intercity transportation, a 10-seater 32211 was developed (for intercity transportation). Such minibuses have become widespread in the central and southern parts of Russia. GAZ-32214 is a specialized ambulance vehicle designed for use at ambulance stations, medical units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and other organizations providing medical services.

GAZ-32214 was created on the basis of the GAZ-2705 van and outwardly differs from it only in color, made within the framework of the color scheme according to GOST R50574-2002, and the presence of flashing beacons. The length of the medical van is 5540 mm, the wheelbase of the GAZ-32214 is 2900 mm, the front and rear overhang are respectively 1030 and 1610 mm, the width of the van does not exceed 2075 mm, and the height is limited to 2480 mm. The ambulance is equipped with a side sliding door on the starboard side, as well as a double-leaf rear door for convenient loading of stretchers with patients. The curb weight of the GAZ-32214 does not exceed 2870 kg. The total weight of the van is 3500 kg.

The all-metal cabin GAZ-32214 has a three-seater passenger compartment, separated from the medical compartment by a metal partition with a sliding window. The medical salon is equipped with three seats, while the right seat has a reclining backrest for installing additional stretchers. Among other equipment, we note the presence of a receiving device for a stretcher, a side step (modifications 322174-408 and 322174-410), as well as a washbasin with an electric water supply pump and built-in cisterns. In addition, it is worth noting that modifications 322140-410, 322174-408 and 322174-410 received a high roof, which facilitates the provision of medical care directly in the car.

Specifications. All GAZ-32214 modifications are equipped with gasoline 4-cylinder in-line engines with a distributed fuel injection system. Depending on the version, the van is equipped with either a 2.45-liter ZMZ-402 unit with a return of 100 hp. at 4500 rpm and a torque of 183 Nm at 2400 - 2600 rpm, or a 2.46-liter ZMZ-40524 engine, whose power reaches 133 hp. at 4500 rpm, and the peak torque falls at around 214 Nm at 4000 rpm. After the cessation of deliveries of Riga minibuses to Russia, the provision of the country with specialized medical transport fell on the Gorky Automobile Plant. Produced since 1962, the sanitary modifications of the Volg with a station wagon body did not meet the requirements of physicians for a long time. The start-up of the workshop for welding closed van bodies mounted on the Gazelle chassis made it possible to start the production of special vehicles for medical institutions, which were superior to RAF minibuses in terms of useful interior space and dynamic performance. Until 1999, the demand for these machines significantly exceeded the capacity of the plant to produce them.

GAZ-32214

In recent years, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation has put forward a number of new requirements. Their implementation forced a new look at the development of medical modifications. The differences between the machines created according to the special requirements of individual medical structures required the organization of the production of a whole type of models on the Gazelle and Sobol chassis, with bodies that differ both in design and in equipment. The time required to assemble such machines has greatly increased, and they no longer fit into the rhythm of the assembly line. That is why the development and production of sanitary modifications was transferred to the newly formed enterprise Samotlor-NN, which works in close cooperation with OAO GAZ, which retained the sale of products.

GAZ-3986- reanimobile with a modular-type body on the Gazelle chassis with a 4x2 or 4x4 wheel arrangement. The interchangeable body made of plastic sandwich panels is equipped with an efficient heating and ventilation system for the passenger compartment and keeps the heat well. A skylight is installed at the front of the roof. The interior height of the cabin is 1.82 m.

Very quickly, the range of medical models has grown to eight units and continues to expand. In close cooperation with specialists from the Ministry of Health, the designers of Samotlor-NN create original promising models of medical vehicles with a bonneted (based on the GAZ-3110 Volga) and cabover layout, which are being tested in medical institutions. Foreign experience is also widely studied.

A number of features of medical vehicles produced in recent years increase their competitiveness in the foreign and domestic markets. Let's dwell on just a few, paying attention to the improvement of the most important functions.

GAZ-32214 (4x2) and GAZ-322174 (4x4)- a car with a standard roof and an improved interior with furniture made of durable, easy-to-clean plastic. For the northern regions, an “Arctic” version is provided, which has double glazing of the medical cabin, additional thermal insulation, including the engine compartment, and is filled with special oils. The modification is equipped with an autonomous pre-start engine heater and an autonomous interior air heater.

Hygiene

Salons are trimmed with modern polymeric materials that facilitate washing and disinfection of the interior of the bodies. All seams are waterproof.

Heat and thermal insulation

The walls and ceiling of cars are supplemented with special insulation, which increases the heating efficiency and reduces the noise level in the cabin. For all modifications, versions have been developed in the "arctic" and "tropical" versions. Machines can be supplied with autonomous heaters and air conditioners.

Functionality and ergonomics

According to the wishes of doctors, the internal layout of the bodies has changed. The number and design of shelves and cabinets has been increased, fixtures and special equipment have been provided. Versions of bodies with a high roof (cabin height up to 1.9 m) appeared, which facilitates the work of the ambulance team.

Durability

The use of high-quality and durable materials increased the service life of interior elements and reduced the cost of maintaining and repairing the interior. The installation of a special interchangeable modular plastic body, developed jointly with the Finnish company Profile Component, a leading European manufacturer of ambulances, made it possible to radically reduce the cost of cars: the body is able to survive three Gazelle chassis! Its installation takes only a few hours. An increase in the durability of standard bodies is facilitated by additional anti-corrosion treatment, including the Swedish mastic Mercasol.

Reanimobiles GAZ-32214 (4x2) and GAZ-322174 (4x4) equipped with a high plastic roof. The height inside the cabin is 1.85 m. A large number of shelves and drawers, special attachment points provided by the design, allow you to place all the equipment and materials necessary for doctors. 1. General requirements for cars
1.1. Cars must be new (not used) and manufactured no earlier than 2012. Cars must meet or exceed the technical parameters given in the requirements in terms of their parameters.

1.2. Cars must be allowed for use on the territory of the Russian Federation, must have a vehicle passport, vehicle type approval, operation manual or instruction in Russian.

1.3. The cost of delivery of each car should include: a regular driver's tool kit, a set of traffic police (a first aid kit, a fire extinguisher - 2 pcs. (GAZ-32214), 1 pc. (GAZ-2705) with a capacity of at least 2 liters, an emergency stop sign), interior mats - 2 pcs., anti-corrosion coating, 4 fender liner.
2. Certification
2.1. The participant must provide all the necessary certificates for the supplied cars.

3. Warranty
3.1. The supplier must provide warranty service for the vehicles. The warranty period is 24 months from the date of delivery or 100,000 km (whichever occurs first), unless otherwise specified in the specification. The warranty period can be extended, in accordance with the application.

3.2. Fulfillment of warranty obligations is ensured by the issuance by the Supplier of a service book with a note on pre-sale preparation.

3.3. During the warranty period, the Supplier undertakes to carry out the necessary repairs at its own expense, with the exception of malfunctions caused by improper operation of vehicles and routine maintenance work.

3.4. The terms for restoring the performance of vehicles should be no more than 7 working days. Otherwise, the Supplier undertakes to provide the Customer with similar vehicles.

3.5. The Supplier undertakes, during the entire warranty period, to carry out the delivery of vehicles from the State Unitary Enterprise Avtokombinat "Mosavtosantrans" to the warranty repair and back.

4. Requirements for delivery

4.1. The supplier is obliged to have a certificate of an official dealer of GAZ Group Commercial Vehicles LLC.

4.2. Cars are delivered to the warehouse of the State Unitary Enterprise Avtokombinat "Mosavtosantrans" at the address: Moscow, Varshavskoe highway, house 134.

4.3. The delivery cost includes:

All taxes and duties paid or payable, other costs associated with the delivery of cars to their final destination;

4.4. The maximum term for the implementation of the contract is 15 calendar days from the date of signing the contract.
