Mitsubishi outlander consumption 2.4. Real fuel consumption figures for Mitsubishi Outlander. Choosing the best type of fuel

Real owner reviews about Mitsubishi Outlander fuel consumption:

3.0, automatic

  • Judging by the fact that the car is all-wheel drive, and even with a 3.0 engine, I consider the real fuel consumption in the city of 15.3 liters to be quite acceptable. Gasoline consumption in the city is no less joyful, it turned out to reach the mark of 9.2 liters per 100 km. I am glad.
  • I have my own tradition. Every time I fill up a full tank, I reset my mileage. I measured the consumption of gasoline, and it turned out that the sensors show quite pleasant numbers. Fuel consumption in the city is approximately 11.6-12 liters per 100 km, which I consider normal for a 3.0 liter gasoline engine. I'm looking at the reviews now and once again I understand that it was not in vain that I took my Japanese.
  • My real fuel consumption in the city is not more than 14.8l. On the track, these numbers are slightly less, 10.3-11, and this is the norm for a car. Satisfied with the fuel consumption of my car.
  • If you do not particularly accelerate, then the appetite of the car in the city will be somewhere around 12.7-13.2l per 100 km. I love speed, and the 3.0 engine itself does not allow you to drive quietly, so my gasoline consumption is slightly higher, but still completely satisfied.
  • It seems to me that the real fuel consumption for the Mitsubishi Outlander 3 in the city is clearly too big. For such a car, 15.3 liters is immodest. Sometimes the consumption of gasoline in the city exceeds 19.7 liters, this is not the norm. I'm not happy. In vain I did not listen to other people's reviews about this car. What fuel consumption for Mitsubishi Outlander is generally considered normal, who will tell me?
  • The appetite of this car upset me a little, because in the city I can’t keep within 21 liters per hundred. It seems to me, or is this too much fuel consumption? I'm disappointed anyway.
  • At first I was glad to purchase such a car, even the fuel consumption was acceptable. But then winter came, and I just froze in shock when I saw that the appetite of the machine began to go off scale beyond the mark of 20.6 liters. It is unacceptable. The rate of consumption in the city is simply inadequate.

2.4, automatic

  • The appetite of my car with a 2.4 horsepower engine suits me. The fuel consumption of the Mitsubishi Outlander XL sometimes even allows you to save on gasoline. On country roads, I managed to keep within 9.8 liters per 100 km, so I am completely satisfied with my new acquisition.
  • This car has quite good technical characteristics, so I consider 15.3 liters of gasoline consumption to be more than acceptable, for a 2.4 liter engine this is the norm.
  • Calculate theoretical fuel consumption and practical. The data almost coincided, so I am completely satisfied with the consumption of gasoline in the city and on the highway. And on average I get 10.2 liters per 100 km.
  • Fuel consumption on the highway does not exceed nine liters per hundred, which cannot but rejoice me, since I love high speeds. Gasoline consumption in the city did not disappoint either.
  • Of course, this car's appetite is simply brutal, although the engine size is not small - 2.4 liters. Gasoline consumption in the city does not fall below 17.4 liters, and on the highway about 11.3. I think that manufacturers could make the car's appetite more modest.

Mitsubishi Outlander with a volumetric 2.0 liter engine, gasoline with mechanics

  • On Moscow roads, I fail to reduce gasoline consumption, so I can’t say that this is a plus for the car. Fuel consumption in the city exceeds 15.2 liters, which does not suit me, because for such a powerful engine this is the norm.
  • The car, of course, is excellent, but gluttonous to the point of madness. The fuel consumption of the Mitsubishi Outlander does not suit me, since I cannot even reduce it to 15.8 liters per hundred. In vain I took a version of a car with a 2.0 liter engine, a friend has a volume of 3.0, and eats only a couple of liters more - now I bite my elbows. And the reviews from a friend were only positive.

2.0, automatic

  • Very satisfied with the consumption of gasoline. Even during active traffic jams, fuel consumption in the city does not exceed 11.8-12.2 liters. Pretty economical and adequate for such a large car with a volume of 2.0.
  • I took and put gas. Now fuel consumption has increased by almost 3l. I can’t save money, now I’m thinking about whether to change my car while my budget is still normal. Motor 2.0 is very voracious. Reviews of other people once again confirm my opinion.

Mitsubishi Outlander is a mid-range crossover produced since 2003. The Japanese-designed car is the closest competitor to the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, Nissan X-Trail, Peugeot 3008 and other SUVs of this class. In Russia, Outlander is one of the best-selling crossovers among competitors. At the moment, the third generation of Outlander is being produced. In addition to the usual gasoline versions, there is also a hybrid version with the PHEV prefix. This is the most expensive and economical modification in the history of Outlander. Since 2017, the Outlander hybrid has not been sold in Russia due to low demand.

Mitsubishi Outlander owner reviews

Generation 1

With engine 2.0, 2.4, 139 - 142 liters. With.

  • Tatyana, Nizhny Novgorod region. Outlander finally became mine when my husband bought a Toyota RAV4. In general, we are big fans of Japanese cars with him. The wheelbarrow does not annoy with breakdowns, and the 2.4 engine has a good traction reserve. Consumption from 10 to 13 liters per 100 km.
  • Ruslan, Lipetsk. Machine 2003 release, a very decent car for the money. Equipped with a 2-liter engine with a capacity of 140 forces. I liked the car - it looks brutal outside and inside. I liked the interior design - the interior is made in a kind of retro style. Outlander is one of the best crossovers in terms of cross-country ability, even better than my former Toyota RAV4. There is enough space in the cabin for five tall sedan, good finishing materials. The plastics are cheap, and you can see it, but the assembly of the cabin is impeccable. Consumption of 10-12 liters per hundred kilometers.
  • Liza, Vorkuta. Comfortable car, in the city with him I feel like a fish in water. It is nimble and groovy thanks to a powerful engine that produces about 140 horses with a volume of 2.4 liters. Good combination of engine and transmission. By the way, in my Out there is a machine gun - it is a little thoughtful, but for the city it is what you need. Gasoline consumption per 100 km is 12 liters of AI-95 brand.
  • Nina, St. Petersburg. I bought an Outlander in 2004, with an automatic transmission and a 2.5-liter engine. The power of 140 horses is enough to accelerate to 180 km / h, and more is not needed. Consumption 12 l / 100 km.
Yaroslav, Chelyabinsk. A good car for every day, rulitsya perfectly and does not annoy rolls in corners. The crossover is equipped with a 2.0 engine with a capacity of 140 forces. The engine is economical, in the city it consumes 12-13 l / 100 km.
  • Alexey, Tomsk. Crossover 2005 release, bought on pre-order. The car came to us just in 2005, and at that time it was considered almost the standard in its segment, on a par with the Toyota Rav4. I remember that time. I have a version with a two-liter engine and a power of 140 forces, it consumes an average of 12 liters per hundred. After 140 thousand km, the interior does not creak, the sound insulation is decent for this class. I also praise the Outlander for its high ground clearance and roomy trunk. Practical and comfortable car in Russian operation.

With engine 2.4 160 hp. With.

  • Anatoly, Nizhny Novgorod region. Mitsubishi Outlander I got from my father, now the mileage is 178 thousand km. The car is perfectly adapted to our roads. The suspension is soft, and at the same time good handling. There is a lateral buildup of the body, but this is not critical. A 2.4-liter engine with an automatic consumes an average of 13 liters of gasoline per 100 km.
  • Pavel, Irkutsk. Comfortable crossover, with reliable handling and balanced chassis. I considered that I should take it, and my husband was in full solidarity with me. With an automatic and a 2.4-liter internal combustion engine, the car consumes a minimum of 10 liters, a maximum of 15 liters comes out.
  • Valery, Kirovsk. Comfortable and groovy car, just right for my outback. The car is equipped with a 2.4-liter engine and automatic transmission. Quite dynamically for our conditions, gasoline consumption of 12 liters per hundred.
  • Igor, Rostov. Great car, dynamic and versatile. Pleases all members of my family. My wife liked the car for comfort and convenience, the children for multimedia and music with the Bluetooth system (it is non-native, I installed it additionally). And my mother-in-law needs the Out for the sake of a large trunk, which can be easily turned into a cargo compartment. The 2.4 version puts out 160 horsepower, and the dynamics are quite decent for a mid-size SUV. The car is worth the money, and especially since in the first half of the 2000s, the Out was considered one of the most affordable in its class. The consumption of AI-95 gasoline is 11-12 l / 100 km.
  • Hope, Yaroslavl. Outlander 2005 release, equipped with a top-end 2.4-liter engine. The car is roomy, with a full five seats. And it has a large trunk to boot. Practical car, no questions to him. Consumption is 10-12 liters per 100 k
  • Peter, Vologda Oblast This car was recommended by my best friends, and they paid attention to the version with a 2.4-liter engine, all-wheel drive and automatic. Wheelbarrow fire, do not like it. Consumption 12-13 liters per 100 km.
  • Yuri, Leningrad region. Outlander is my first crossover, I still drive it. Decent car, looks stylish and brutal. The interior is boring - simple and unpretentious. The interior even evokes associations with cars from the 1970s. I think this is a controversial decision, but done in an original way. My Outlander is equipped with a 2.4-liter engine and consumes 12 liters per hundred.
  • Vasily, Sverdlovsk. Machine satisfied, Outlander justifies the investment in it. At least, with reliability and cross-country ability, he is in full order. Engine 2.4, automatic transmission. Consumption from 10 to 13 liters per 100 km.
  • Nikita, Novosibirsk. Perhaps, in terms of cross-country ability, this is the best SUV, and the rest are all SUVs and are not suitable for my Outlander. I have a 2005 version, with a powerful 2.4-liter engine and automatic. There is a four-wheel drive, all the cases. In the city consumption of 12-13 liters.

With engine 2.0 200, 240 hp. With.

  • Alexander, Moscow. Machine 2004, in a very rare configuration with a 240-horsepower 2.0-liter engine. I ordered it abroad, and as far as I remember, such a version was never sold in Russia. The 240-horsepower Outlander is almost a sports car. In terms of dynamics, the car can even be compared with the Volkswagen Golf GTI. Acceleration to hundreds at Out takes less than 10 seconds, the maximum speed is 220 km / h. But the suspension is still standard, as in the version with a two-liter engine. Because of this, the car is soft, heels heavily, and in corners it is not able to unleash the potential of this powerful engine. Therefore, it remains to have fun on a straight road. The average consumption is 13-14 l / 100 km.
  • Julia, Novosibirsk. Machine 2005, with a mileage of 207 thousand km. Equipped with a 200-horsepower 2.0-liter engine. Perhaps, the Outlander with such an engine can be considered an actual car even today, since in terms of dynamics it is not inferior to any of the more modern competitors. Consumes 13 liters per hundred.
  • Svetlana, Nizhny Novgorod. My Outlander puts out 200 horsepower and works with an automatic transmission. In short, this version deserves special attention from my side. The car is reliable, consuming between 12 and 14 liters per 100 km on average.
  • Yuri, Yekaterinburg. I've owned the Outlander since 2006, with a top 200 horsepower engine. In the city it consumes 13 liters, and on the highway you can keep within 10 liters.
  • Olga, Tver region. Bought Outlander for household and family needs. I transport things, boxes and suitcases - this is if one of the relatives has to move. The Outlander does this. And if you fold the rear sofa, you get almost a cargo compartment, which will fit a mini-fridge, washing machine and something else. The wheelbarrow is not only practical, but also playful. A 200-horsepower engine does its job - it reaches the first hundred in 9 seconds, it's just a fairy tale, as for a car of this class and year of manufacture. Consumes an average of 14 liters per hundred.

Generation 2

With engine 2.0 147 hp. With.

  • Dmitry, Smolensk. A versatile car, it does not choke on the roads, but in the city it feels like a sports car on the track. Of course, I exaggerated this, but for this class, the Outlander rides very well. The 2.0 engine accelerates the car in 11 seconds to the first hundred, which is excellent for such a motor. Profitability at a high level - in the city it comes out from 10 liters.
  • Vladimir, Togliatti. Outlander 2007 release, a decent car for all its pluses and minuses. High comfort in the cabin, soft suspension and good finishing materials, like the tenth Lancer. Engine 2.0 consumes 10-12 liters.
  • Ruslan, Peter. I am satisfied with the car, Mitsubishi Outlander is a car designed specifically for my needs. It handles well, effectively slows down, and the Outlander is also capable of accelerating to 200 km / h. This is a considerable merit of a two-liter engine with a return of 145 forces. This engine is not impressive in terms of numbers, but it is capable of a lot. Gasoline consumption per 100 km - 10-13 liters.
  • Ekaterina, Vorkuta. Typical crossover for every day. I like its stylish sporty design and the same interior. The plastics are cheap - ordinary plastic, but it looks stylish and impeccably assembled. A car with a 2.0 engine and a manual gearbox consumes 12 liters on average.
  • Glory, Cheboksary. The Mitsubishi Outlander is a clean car, with many positives that outweigh the negatives. Of the latter, I note rolls in corners, a not particularly responsive steering wheel, hard plastics on the front panel, minimal equipment and inconvenient placement of a spare wheel under the bottom. The advantages of the car are adaptability to the Russian climate, a powerful 147-horsepower 2.0 engine, fast operation of the manual gearbox, good visibility, efficient brakes and unobtrusive operation of electronic systems such as ABS and EBD. The car consumes an average of 11 liters per 100 km of 95th gasoline.
  • Kirill, St. Petersburg. With this machine, I still have a lot to do. Bought an Outlander in 2015. The 2008 version, with mechanics and a two-liter engine, has four-wheel drive. Traveled twenty thousand, liked the car, and decided to leave. Breakdowns do not annoy, serve only the official. The average consumption of 10-11 liters per hundred.
  • Oleg, Yekaterinoslavl. I liked this crossover from the first day of the trip - even during the test drive. I knew right away that it was for me. In terms of handling and comfort - my style, and I also love practicality. With this, Out is also in full order - the trunk is huge even with the rear seats unfolded. The car is equipped with a two-liter engine, the engine produces 145 forces and consumes from 10 to 13 liters, depending on the pace of driving. Unfortunately, I often get 13 liters, as I drive pretty fast.
  • Svyatoslav, Kazan. Wheelbarrow fire, Outlander came to my taste, I praise him for a powerful engine with high elasticity, at least he has enough traction reserve throughout the entire rev range. With a volume of 2.0, it produces 145 forces and consumes 12 liters per hundred.
  • Marina, Novosibirsk. Machine 2006, I have this second generation of Outlander. I am generally a fan of this model. The car is reliable and the parts are cheap. With version 2.0 and automatic transmission, fuel consumption is stable at 12-13 liters.

With engine 2.4 170 hp. With.

  • Vladimir, Bryansk. Machine satisfied, reliable and balanced cars for all types of roads. No wonder the Outlander is one of the most popular crossovers in Russia. Powerful engine - 2.4-liter aspirated, time-tested. There are no whims at all, in the city the car consumes 12-13 liters.
  • Sergey, Kharkov. Car 2008 model year, with a 2.4 engine and automatic. There is a full drive. The machine is generally satisfied. The only negative is the inconvenient location of the spare wheel, which is located under the bottom and often strikes, especially off-road. Fuel consumption per 100 km - up to 15 liters.
  • Olga, Dnepropetrovsk. Great car for every day, has long dreamed of such. Outlander is soft in the city and very fast on the track. A 170-horsepower engine consumes 12 liters.
  • Ivan, Irkutsk. I bought the car in 2007, now the mileage is 170 thousand km. The warranty has already passed for a long time, but in spite of this I continue to serve at an authorized dealer. I buy original spare parts, but I do not recognize Chinese fakes. Age is already felt in the car, but Out is a tough nut to crack, you can’t break it so quickly. I have a version with a 170 horsepower engine, it consumes no more than 13-14 liters per hundred. The maximum speed is 210 km/h. The city is not crowded, the car is quite compact, parking is convenient. Five tall people will sit in the cabin. The trunk is big, I have a spare in there.
  • Dmitry, Novosibirsk. The Outlander is a great car for all occasions. With a cheerful and energetic character, the car is just for me. With a 2.4 engine and an automatic, it consumes no more than 15 liters, which suits me.
  • Yana, Lipetsk. Machine 2009. First, my husband went to Aute, then he handed it over to me. I have a car since 2014, I still drive and do not complain. Minimum breakdowns, service in the service, as expected. The 2.4 engine works with an automatic, the average gasoline consumption is 12-14 liters.
  • Vasily, Smolensk. Machine satisfied, universal wheelbarrow for every day. I praise the Outlander for its purely passenger behavior in urban conditions - I mean gambling handling and perky dynamics. The unit with a capacity of 170 forces is capable of much, and at the same time it knows how to save gasoline. On the highway and in the city, an average of 12-13 liters per hundred kilometers comes out.
  • Oleg, Yekaterinoslavl. A typical SUV, the closest competitor to the Nissan X-Trail. I had one of the first generation. In terms of cross-country ability, both cars are approximately equal, which is why I took Mitsubishi. Outlander has a more modern and sporty design, high quality workmanship. The car is equipped with a 2.4-liter engine and consumes an average of 12 liters.
  • Stanislav, Perm. Satisfied with the car, Outlander is suitable for both good and bad roads. Just for our pits and potholes. In addition, the car is well adapted to the Russian climate. Engine 2.4 power 170 forces, cold start with half a turn. In the urban cycle, it consumes 14 liters / 100 km.

With 3.0 220 hp engine. With.

  • Tolik, Novosibirsk. I liked the car, fast and economical car. Despite three liters under the hood and a return of 220 horses, this six-cylinder manages to consume no more than 14-15 liters per 100 km. At least, this is if you drive at low and medium speeds. Of course, on the track, I do not deny myself the pleasure of opening the engine to its fullest. The maximum speed is 220 km / h, even more on the bottoms. A fast automatic transmission, an informative pedal assembly, good noise isolation and control - all these are the undeniable advantages of my Outlander in the top-end configuration.
  • Artem, Nizhny Novgorod. Wheelbarrow fire, with such a motor Out is capable of much. 220 horses and four-wheel drive is something. The car pulls on any off-road. This cross has high potential. In the city, you can keep within 14-16 liters / 100 km.
  • Ekaterina, Nikolaev. Happy with the car, a wheelbarrow for every day, do not get bored. Powerful engine, efficient brakes and a comfortable driving position, although lumbar support is a bit lacking. The 220-horsepower engine consumes 14 liters.
  • Kirill, Penza. Wheelbarrow 2009 release, with automatic transmission and a three-liter V6. The car is powerful and with a groovy character, but to its fullest does not allow the chassis to open up, which is more tuned for a quiet ride. Outlander heels in corners, lazily turns wheels. In general, a car with such an engine (produces 220 hp) will justify itself only on straight roads. Gasoline consumption per hundred 15 liters.

Generation 3

With engine 2.0 146 hp. With.

  • Nikolay, Donetsk. Good car, I'm generally satisfied. Gasoline consumption on the highway is 10 liters, in the urban cycle an average of 13 liters is obtained. I liked the Outlander, just for me and my family. A practical and inexpensive car that can compete with more expensive competitors.
  • Alexander, Lipetsk. Classic urban crossover. Despite the brutal design, this is nothing more than a SUV. Just look at the low ground clearance and rather large body overhangs front and rear. In Aute, only the engine pleases, which, with a displacement of 2.0, consumes 12-13 liters per 100 kilometers. The power of 140 forces is enough, it’s not a problem to pile on traffic lights.
  • Hope, Kazan. I have a 2014 Outlander, the odometer now shows 101 thousand km. A good car for the money, it still pleases with its legendary Japanese reliability and a perfectly tuned chassis. With a 2.0 engine, it consumes from 10 to 14 liters per 100 kilometers. It all depends on the style and pace of riding.
  • Ruslan, Tambov. Comfortable and dynamic car, the perfect balance between comfort and behavior on the road. Consumes 12 l/100 km of run. The car suits me, it does not annoy with breakdowns, in general, let's see what happens next.
  • Anatoly, Vorkuta. Great car, bought it in 2015. Solid design, looks more presentable. In general, the car is taken more seriously than my first generation Outlander. For two years, the model ran 96 thousand km, equipped with a 145-horsepower 2.0 engine. The average consumption of gasoline is 11-12 liters per 100 km. The cabin has become more comfortable, high-quality materials, more advanced equipment. In the end, there was a touch screen. In general, the level of equipment Outlander is on a par with competitors.
  • Oleg, Dnepropetrovsk. Machine 2014 release, with automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. Consumes 12 liters per hundred. Economical car, balanced in terms of handling and comfort. Such a balance is rarely found. For three years, no serious breakdowns, and service is relatively inexpensive. The car as a whole is impressive. The steering feels good, the gas and brake pedals are responsive and work as they should. The work of electronic systems is not intrusive, it comes into operation only when necessary.
  • Nina, Smolensk. I'm happy with the crossover, I got it from my ex-husband. Excellent condition, mileage at the moment 107 thousand km. The 145-horsepower motor is dynamic and elastic, consumes no more than 12 l / 100 km.
  • Alexey, Kyiv. The Outlander fits perfectly into the role of a car for every day, at least the car doesn’t bother me at all. In the city it consumes 12 liters, the automatic transmission is agile and quickly shifts gears. Accelerating to 200 km / h is not a problem. In general, my Aut has a high potential, the car still needs to be tested properly, otherwise it won’t be enough time for the first six months of operation.
  • Nikita, Yaroslavl. Bought the car in 2015 on a used market. I found a copy of 2013, in good condition, with a range of 155 thousand km. This model has a two-liter unit under the hood with a return of 145 forces, in general, a good engine - it pulls absolutely everywhere, in the city, on the highway and in the mud. Consumption 10-12 liters / 100 km.

With engine 2.4 167 hp. With.

  • Julia, Perm. I needed an SUV for every day, and my X-Trail was the perfect choice. For two years of operation, the car behaved perfectly. Gasoline consumption per 100 km is 12 liters. By the way, under the hood is a 2.4-liter engine with a capacity of 167 forces. Feel the dynamics and comfort, sound insulation at a high level.
  • Nikolay, Donetsk. Universal wheelbarrow, stylish and dynamic. Last year there was a dispute that the Japanese allegedly copied the design from the Lada Vesta. In fact, the car is original, and it’s easy not to count the differences in the front on the fingers. In short, with a motor, the engine consumes 15 k per 100 m.
  • Alexey, Irkutsk. With this car, I'm ready to go anywhere. Outlander is designed for long-distance travel, and for this he has a powerful 2.4-liter engine. The aspirated engine produces an acceptable 167 horsepower, which is more than enough for trips around the city and the highway. In addition, I praise the Outlander for its excellent comfort, there are quite high-quality finishing materials in the cabin, in general I liked it. Reliability is high, serious breakdowns are solved only at the service station. I open the hood myself only if I need to change the oil or filters. On a long journey, the Outlander has never failed.
  • Nikolay, Taganrog. Wheelbarrow satisfied, inherited from his father, and he moved to the Hyundai Solaris. He says that he no longer needs such large cars, including SUVs. He got tired and, apparently, decided to switch to more budget cars. By the way, the consumption of gasoline per hundred is 10 liters per 100 km.
  • David, Smolensk. The car is beautiful, no doubt. During the year of operation, only the seal has slipped, but otherwise there are practically no breakdowns. The car consumes an average of 11 liters per hundred. A powerful engine, and at first you can’t say that it produces only 167 forces. In addition, I was pleased with the soft suspension and the almost complete absence of rolls in turns.
  • Igor, Rostov. Machine 2016 release, has served me faithfully for 55 thousand km. I travel a lot, 15 hours a day. You often have to travel out of town, and on the highway the crossover reveals all its advantages. A peppy engine, and the character of the car is purely passenger, and there is not a single hint of belonging to a full-fledged SUV. This is felt not only in terms of handling, but also adaptability to real off-road. Well, my Outlander, well, can only master moving through snowdrifts, nothing more. The 2.4 engine consumes an average of 10-12 liters per 100 km.
  • Yaroslav, Lipetsk. I liked the crossover, economical and reliable car. In the urban cycle, it consumes no more than 13 liters, I checked. Put HBO, consumption essentially has not changed, remained at the same level. But costs have more than doubled.
  • Pavel, Smolensk. Mitsubishi Outlander in my possession since 2015, mileage at the moment is 96 thousand km. A car for all occasions, and according to this indicator beats many competitors. The 2.4-liter engine is dynamic and groovy, consuming an average of 10-14 liters per hundred.
  • Marina, Moscow region. A good and comfortable car, ideal for easy off-road or city / suburban driving. Thanks to the balanced suspension, the Outlander is capable of much, it even handles better than some modern foreign cars. The car is equipped with a 2.4-liter internal combustion engine with a capacity of 148 forces. Gasoline consumption per hundred is 12 liters per 100 km. Breakdowns at least go and rejoice. By the way, this is my first foreign car in the back of a crossover. Before Out was Shniva, then another bucket. The Japanese is a completely different level, and even in comparison with some similar counterparts from Europe.

With engine 3.0 230 hp. With.

  • Alexey, Murmansk. A standing car, I got it for my birthday. I'm a thug, and I have nothing to be ashamed of. Forever drunk, while young - this is the proverb about me. I love powerful cars, I already have a Subaru Impreza WRX. Now they gave me another Japanese - Outlander with a three-liter 230-horsepower engine. The machine is powerful and relatively economical. There is a four-wheel drive, as in my Subaru. Of course, the Outlander is more preferable for off-road, which is why I took it. Now I use one car in the summer, and I operate the second in the winter or in bad weather. Out consumes an average of 13-14 liters / 100 km.
  • Dmitry, Kaliningrad. I'm happy with the car, it's the most powerful crossover I've ever had. The three-liter engine produces an acceptable 230 horses. There is a sense of traction at all speeds. In short, trucks can be overtaken calmly and not be afraid. The average consumption is from 12 to 15 liters per 100 km.
  • Irina, Lipetsk. Comfortable car for every day. The car does not impress with its power, the atmospheric engine is no longer young. I have a used version with 100,000 miles on it. There are minor breakdowns, but this is all the work of servicemen, I don’t climb under the hood at all. Fuel consumption is 10-13 liters per hundred.
  • Konstantin, Moscow. Clockwork handling, powerful 230-horsepower engine, balanced chassis, stylish design inside and out, modern options. This list can be continued, since there are no cons found in the car. A three-liter engine is enough with a margin, this engine has plenty of thrust. Consumption 14 liters.
  • Svetlana, Ryazan. A three-liter engine with a capacity of 230 forces is the perfect solution for my Outlander. I took a car with such a motor without hesitation. I praise the Mitsubishi Outlander for informative brake and gas, acceleration to hundreds in 8-9 seconds, and low fuel consumption - an average of 12 liters per hundred. The salon is crammed with advanced options, I especially want to note the large touch screen, which has become larger in the update. The motor supports the 95th gasoline, and it pleases. Of course, I regularly change the oil in the automatic transmission, replace filters, etc., and everything else is a matter of service.

This model uses this name in all countries except Japan and the United States. For them, the car is produced under the name Airtek. The car was shown in 2003 at an automobile exhibition in the city of Detroit.

Mitsubishi Outlander is a medium-sized SUV with fairly powerful engines. The model is still in assembly, but with some changes.

1 generation

The first generation Mitsubishi Outlander was equipped only with gasoline engines. There were two in total. The first of them received a volume of two liters, and it could produce power up to 136 horsepower. Both a robotic, in four gears, and a mechanical, in five gears, box could be responsible for engine control. The drive was installed either full or front. Fuel consumption per 100 km in this configuration was 9.6 liters.

The turbocharged version of this engine showed a power of 202 horsepower. Here, mechanics and all-wheel drive were always installed, and gasoline consumption was at the level of 10.2 liters. The second 2.4-liter unit developed 139, 142 or 160 horsepower. Exactly the same boxes were installed on it, and for an intermediate version, all-wheel drive was mandatory. Fuel here took 9.8 liters.

“The car was bought from hand in very good condition. It was planned to use it for long trips, as it is quite comfortable and fast, and also copes well with off-road. But it didn't work out. As a result, now I ride around the city, performing everyday tasks. A little annoying high consumption. I have about 12 liters,” writes Alexey from Moscow.

“The car was in my use for a long time. I liked everything, it's a pity that I had to sell it, but this decision had nothing to do with the car itself. It has only one minus - fuel consumption. At least 14 liters are spent in the city, 8 on the highway, ”wrote Ruslan from St. Petersburg.

2 generation

The second generation was demonstrated in 2006. They decided not to install a two-liter gasoline engine here, replacing it with a 3-liter unit. Its power was equal to 220 horses, and only four-wheel drive and an automatic transmission with six gears were paired with it. This device ate 10.7 liters of fuel. The power of the unit 2.4 was boosted to 170 forces. Here, only four-wheel drive is available to the buyer, and the automatic transmission has been replaced with a CVT.

There were also diesel options for equipment. These were 2.0 and 2.2, developing 140 and 156 horsepower. Both boxes, which received six steps each, and four-wheel drive were included with them. Their consumption is approximately the same - 6.8 and 7.1 liters.

“With this car, you will never get stuck somewhere on the road. It's very reliable and everything works great. It also shows good off-road results, which cannot but please me, a fishing lover. The actual consumption of the model is somewhat different from the passport value. I had 10 liters,” said Denis from Stavropol.

“If you take this model, then only in the most charged configuration, because the two-liter engine does not take out the track at all. Acceleration is long, it is generally impossible to overtake someone. And their consumption does not differ much. My norm is 9 liters. Approximately the same amount is written in the passport of the three-liter version, ”said Vasily from Novorossiysk.

Restyling (2010)

The next update took place in 2010. Only it was not a generational change, but a restyling, but quite a large-scale one. The configurations have also changed. Diesels are again not offered to buyers.

The two-liter unit returned to the gasoline series. Here he received 227 horsepower and a consumption of 8.2 liters. Modifications for 2.0 and 2.4 liters could be equipped with either a variator or mechanics, as well as any of the drives. The three-liter unit always went strictly with all-wheel drive and on the machine.

“I bought a car only because I needed an SUV, as my family and I moved out of town. There was not much money, so they took it from hand, but in good condition. A little, of course, I had to invest in repairs, but now we have another iron horse, which is quite comfortable and convenient. Its consumption is 10 liters,” said Yuri from Petrozavodsk.

“The car was recommended to me by a friend. He himself drives the same, and I just needed something similar. I am happy with everything here, the car deserves its money. It never stalls, never gets stuck, it always starts the first time, and it consumes about 9 liters of gasoline, ”wrote Evgeny from Chelyabinsk.

3rd generation

The next major changes occurred in the third generation of 2013 release. The consumption of gasoline engines has slightly decreased, by about a liter for each. The rest of the indicators are identical. A hybrid with a volume of two liters has become a novelty. With a peak power of 121 horsepower, a single-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, it consumed only 1.9 liters of fuel.

“The car immediately catches its appearance. I have never seen anything more beautiful than crossovers. It is good inside, interior quality, functional and comfortable. Five people here always fit comfortably. Another plus is low consumption. I have never spent more than 9 liters,” said Roman from Pskov.

“The car belongs to the wife, as she needs something easy to drive, small and roomy. She also liked this model externally, which is why they bought it. I didn't mind, because I know that the Japanese are reliable and economical. The wife spends 9 liters of fuel in the city, ”said Fedor from Sochi.

Restyling (2014)

Another restyling of the model took place in 2014. Due to the low popularity of hybrid engines, it was decided to abandon them. All petrol versions began to be completed only with a variator transmission.

“I have a three-liter engine that accelerates this colossus to decent speeds in a matter of seconds. I tear everyone both in the city and on the highway. At the same time, fuel is spent in general a penny - about 9 liters, and it doesn’t matter if it’s summer or winter in the yard, ”said Konstantin from Yaroslavl.

“I thought for a long time whether to take either this model, but I chose Japanese quality. Make no mistake, the car hasn't let me down yet. Everything always works perfectly, the cabin is quiet, convenient and comfortable. The engine is powerful, quickly accelerates the car. Its consumption does not exceed 10 liters, ”said Vladimir from Omsk.

Restyling (2015)

Much more new was introduced in the second restyling of the third generation, which was completed in 2015. As always, only the petrol row was not touched. A hybrid was returned, which received exactly the same performance as it had before.

They also made a diesel engine with a volume of 2.3 liters, showing a power of 150 horsepower. It can be either automatic or manual. Four-wheel drive is placed on any of them, and front-wheel drive - only on manual. This installation consumes 5.7 liters of fuel.

“Very beautiful, comfortable and powerful machine, suitable for any task. You can drive both around the city, for example, to shops, and to various fishing trips. At the same time, fuel consumption differs very little, usually it stays at around 8 liters, ”wrote Grigory from Tyumen.

“I got this car quite recently, but I already realized that I got an excellent workhorse with a powerful engine and a comfortable interior. Her appetite is moderate. My average consumption is 9 liters. For such a crossover, the result is very good,” said Gennady from Tomsk.

The first Mitsubishi car of the Outlander model appeared on the world market back in 2001. Making a choice in favor of one or another option, we are most often guided by aesthetic and practical considerations, that is, we think about how beautiful the exterior is, how comfortable and functional the interior is, and whether the technical characteristics of a particular car correspond to modern realities. In the eyes of many of us, it is quite difficult to determine whether a car is suitable, and even the possibility of a test drive does not reveal the full potential of a car. For example, the question of how much fuel is consumed every hundred kilometers under various conditions remains unanswered. The new owner can get objective information in this matter only after a certain period of driving a car, meanwhile, this data is more relevant before making a purchase. We are ready to tell you honestly about how much the Mitsubishi Outlander actually consumes.

Three generations of the popular crossover

As you know, a whole range of factors affects the consumption of fuel resources:

  • technical characteristics of the car;
  • aerodynamic properties of the machine;
  • individual engine parameters;
  • availability of additional systems and functions;
  • the quality of the road surface;
  • driving style;
  • weather conditions and more.

Therefore, it is fair to consider the Mitsubishi Outlander in each of the three generations separately. The release of the first generation of the crossover popular today falls on the distant 2001, and in the USA the novelty appeared two years later. Despite the fact that the Japanese company sold its first-generation crossover to its fans until 2006, an improved version appeared on the market a year earlier. Today, in Russia, they mostly drive the second and third generation Mitsubishi Outlander - that's what we'll talk about.

Fuel consumption calculator per 100 km

What is the second generation?

As you know, the fuel consumption of the Mitsubishi Outlander crossover largely depends not only on external factors. It is directly dictated by the vehicle's own characteristics and properties. The second-generation model undoubtedly bypassed its pre-styling version in size. The length of the crossover has increased by ten centimeters. In addition, the body of the car has expanded by almost five centimeters. Thus, the physical properties of the crossover were changed, it also became much more comfortable and approached the standards of sports cars. Restyling touched not only the exterior and dimensions of the Japanese crossover, but also brought some modifications to its interior:

  • In the new version, the brand has installed chairs with a modified shape and design, making them wider and seating deeper.
  • The steering wheel was no longer a monofunctional device, since it now had buttons for working with a smartphone and the car's sound system.
  • Among other things, the car was equipped with a fairly powerful 250-mm subwoofer.

In addition, the design of the crossover optics has become more original and modern.

With regard to fuel consumption, it should be said that this indicator depends on which of the three possible engine options is installed in a particular crossover. The Japanese brand has offered three power plants for the second generation Mitsubishi Outlander:

  • 2.0 MIVEC. According to brand officials, this engine consumes 6.1, 9.5 and 7.3 liters, respectively, on the highway, in urban conditions and in the combined cycle.
  • 2.4 MIVEC. The consumption of this engine is much higher. So, in the conditions of driving on the highway, this figure does not exceed 6.5 liters, in the city its average value is 9.8 liters, and the crossover “eats” 7.7 liters in the combined cycle mode.
  • 3.0 MIVEC. Since the power characteristics of this engine are the highest, this modification consumes much more than its counterparts. In urban conditions, a crossover for 100 kilometers will spend at least 12.2 liters of gasoline, outside the city this figure drops to 7 liters, and the combined cycle conditions optimize consumption - 8.9 liters.

The Mitsubishi Outlander, launched on the market in 2008, can rightly be considered the most voracious. This crossover is equipped with a traditional automatic transmission. In this case, in urban conditions, fuel consumption on the Outlander is simply amazing - about 15 liters for every 100 kilometers, although, of course, outside the city this figure will be significantly lower - only 8 liters. Practice shows that with a mixed cycle, this parameter reaches 10 liters.

The third generation of the crossover: characteristics

Despite the controversial design, the third-generation Outlander still managed to gain a lot of fans among domestic buyers. It is fair to say that the brand has put a lot of effort into correcting all the shortcomings of the predecessors of the crossover. The design has changed especially, however, its conceptually new elements are closely and, most importantly, harmoniously intertwined with traditional brand details.

In terms of dimensions, it must be said that the car has changed slightly - added a couple of centimeters in length and width, which, in general, is almost imperceptible. Meanwhile, thanks to such a simple technique, brand employees have improved the aerodynamic properties of the model. In order to make the crossover lighter by almost a hundred kilograms, light high-strength steel was used in its body. The interior of the Outlander in the third generation has changed dramatically.

Immodest appetites of the third generation crossover

To begin with, we note that the real fuel consumption per 100 km for the Outlander is very different from that declared by the brand in the operational documentation. So, as part of the pre-sale campaign, official sources convinced that in the process of city driving, the crossover does not spend more than 9 liters per hundred kilometers. In the conditions of country driving, according to the assurances of the brand, this indicator decreased significantly - up to 6.7 liters. Meanwhile, the surprise of the newly minted Outlander owners knew no bounds when it turned out that in the city the crossover was eating almost half as much as promised - about 14 liters. However, in the conditions of the track, the situation was also deplorable - almost 10 liters.

Choosing the best type of fuel

As you know, the properties and quality of a particular category of fuel largely determine the fuel consumption per 100 km for a car. First, let's turn to official sources. They claim that if AI-95 gasoline is used, Outlander's fuel consumption will not exceed 7.5 liters, however, the reality is somewhat different from the reality in which brand employees live and make up the characteristics of the car.

Since the real crossover data is of much greater interest to potential buyers, we propose to consider what Mitsubishi Outlander actually has fuel consumption. For this crossover, two brands of gasoline are recommended, and we propose to evaluate them:

  • AI-92. In urban conditions, for a hundred kilometers, a crossover will spend about 14 liters of this gasoline, on the highway it will need 5 liters less fuel, and thanks to the combined cycle, the parameter can be balanced.
  • AI-95. In the city of Outlander, the third generation “eats” at least 15 liters per hundred kilometers, on the highway, consumption will barely exceed 9.5 liters, but for the combined cycle, 11.75 liters is considered normal.

In this way, only by choosing the optimal brand of gasoline, the owner of a crossover can achieve a decrease in the appetites of his crossover.

Of course, modern fuel prices are not encouraging at all. In such conditions, it may often seem that the best solution to the problem would be to completely abandon the ride on the Outlander. Meanwhile, not many people have the opportunity to change the voracious crossover for something more modest, and therefore we offer you some practical tips to reduce the loss of fuel resources. Here is what we offer:

  • Fual Shark. This device, thanks to which the fuel consumed by the car is on average 2 liters less. However, this unit must be chosen with great care. We advise you to only use reputable manufacturers for Fual Shark.
  • Speed reduction. This advice is based on the very physics of the process of fuel consumption. So, at high speeds, the Outlander will probably need a lot more resources than at medium speeds. In addition, in order not to burn gasoline in vain, try to work as smoothly as possible with the gas pedal, if possible, almost completely abandon jerks.
  • Weight loss. It will hardly be a discovery for anyone that light cars consume much less fuel. In this case, of course, nothing can be done with the initial weight of the crossover, however, if you do not load its luggage compartment and do not litter the interior, then you can achieve a decrease in the amount of fuel consumed.

Of course, the Outlander's fuel consumption is hard to envy. With not so significant power characteristics, the car manages to claim a very high consumption of fuel resources and, knowing about such prospects earlier, many would abandon the idea of acquiring a car. Meanwhile, the installation of additional devices, careful driving and a constant monitor of the quality of the “stuffing” of the car can slightly improve the situation.
