Lada Vesta SW Cross - first test drive. The childhood illnesses were cured, but not all. Test drive of the new Lada Vesta SW and SW Cross station wagons Front panel of the car

Not even six months have passed since the start of sales of the famous Russian station wagon Lada Vesta SW Cross, and a lot of controversy and discussions around the model have appeared on the Internet. Any discussion causes a lot of positive and negative comments. Commentators also do not ignore the interior of the Lada Vesta SV Cross.

Lada Vesta SV Cross 2017 and 2018 salon

The interior of the 2017 and 2018 Vesta SV Cross is no different, since the car was released only at the end of 2017 and has not yet undergone any changes in 2018. So, let's look at the interior of the Lada Vesta SV Cross.

Car front panel

One of the most important elements on the front panel is the steering wheel. This is the so-called multifunctional steering wheel with the ability to control the multimedia system. There is a driver airbag in the steering wheel. In any configuration you will receive a leather-trimmed steering wheel.

Under the steering wheel there are paddle switches that control the car's windshield wipers and lights.

One of the most important parts of the Lada Vesta SV Cross interior is the central panel. Yes, it is made of hard plastic, like its classmates - Kia Rio and Hyundai Solaris. But she doesn’t cause any disgust. Everything is done harmoniously and thoughtfully. The multimedia system display, air conditioning control, and other control keys are conveniently located in the center.

In front of the driver’s eyes is a well-readable instrument panel - speedometer, tachometer, fuel level and temperature gauges. All devices fit well into deep wells and look great at any time of the day.

The passenger sees only the glove box in front of him - the glove compartment, by the way, is very spacious.

In the center of the Lada Vesta SV Cross cabin there is a tunnel with cup holders, a gearbox control knob and. Depending on the installed gearbox, the handle will have a different appearance. If the car is equipped with a manual transmission, the gearshift knob will look like this:

... if a robot is installed in the car, then you will have to control the box modes with this handle:

Door trims

The door trims are made of the same plastic as the front panel, but additionally have inserts that fit seamlessly into the rest of the interior design. Door trims combine not only stylish design, but also thoughtful ergonomics. You can easily put a water bottle or other small items in the door. There are ESP buttons on all doors, and on the driver’s side there is a control unit for all ESPs, mirror adjustment, door and lift locking.

Seats, floor, ceiling

Floor The interior of the Lada Vesta SV Cross is a classic carpet, like on 80% of budget foreign cars. Not very durable, but it serves its purpose, and nothing more is required from it. The carpet is protected from moisture and dirt by rubber or textile.

Seats. Here's a little more detail. In the Lada Vesta SV Cross station wagon, the most thoughtful detail is the seats. They are the only ones with no questions in terms of comfort and design. Yes, it is comfortable to sit on such chairs. You can travel long distances and not worry about back and lower back pain. Externally, there is also nothing to blame the designers for. The seats look fresh and modern.

Ceiling The interior of the Lada Vesta has a normal high-quality finish. Yes, it is light, but with proper care it will not lose its appearance for a very long time. And with timely washing, you can get rid of dirt in no time.

Lada Vesta SV Cross interior color

There are three interior design options for the Lada Vesta SV Cross - in bright orange or blue and calmer colors. The first two options are included in the additional options package. By ordering this addition, you will receive a bright orange insert around the entire perimeter of the interior on the front panel and doors of the car, as well as a combined seat trim. The same thing awaits you when ordering blue. The remaining interior colors of the Lada Vesta SV Cross are available in the basic version and match absolutely any body color.

In this article we will not talk about, since we have already discussed it in detail in one of our articles. You can find all the information on our website yourself.

Updates in the interior of Lada Vesta SV Cross video

Our first Vesta Cross test can answer the question of whether you need to overpay 43 thousand rubles for a Cross or stick with the quiet, universal Vesta. Cross seems to be shouting, take me, he tried his best to prove that he was right and even climbed the almost vertical wall of the Sochi forest. Video Vesta Cross test, about how we, blasting stones, took mountain heights below, technical characteristics at the end of the article.

I won’t list all the station wagons I’ve owned, starting with the VAZ 2102; my evolution today has stopped at the sloping rear door of the Audi A7. Surprisingly, it seems that in pursuit of the tastes of buyers like me, Lada in its new station wagon moved away from the almost vertical rear wall. True, the slope of the rear window was not so strong that, as in my Sportback, I would have to abandon the wiper, but it was sufficient for the roofline to acquire the now fashionable dynamics.

Lada-Vesta-SW and Lada-Vesta-SW Cross: Let’s imagine for a moment another VAZ-2104 next to it. It seems to me that it will stand here like an ancient stone. What kind of dynamic roof line were they thinking about then, I loaded the refrigerator into the dacha. And the universal Vesta even has a “shark fin” on the roof - it’s also an external antenna. This is what competition for me, my beloved, means.

According to Lada designer Steve Mattin, “the roof line, starting from the exterior mirrors, and the “shark fin” form a kind of airy, elegant X.” It turns out that there are never too many X's on a clean car. If it weren't for the X's, I would have thought it was a Volvo. The dual chrome exhaust tips are modern, and there's room on the right for two more fake pipes.

Lada-Vesta-SW and Lada-Vesta-SW-Cross: produced in Izhevsk. The basic station wagon (right) looks simpler. It does not have two-tone bumpers or plastic linings surrounding the body; it is 4 mm shorter and 25 mm lower than the Cross.

Prices for Lada-Vesta-SW start from 639,900 rubles, in the Cross base it is 116 thousand more expensive. But at the top, in the most expensive configuration, the difference is only 43 thousand (1.8 l, 16 cl, 122 hp, 5 AMT). The difference of 43 thousand can be found in the middle of the price list (1.8, 16 cl., 122 hp, 5 MT).

Our first Vesta Cross test took place in Sochi, where we drove through the forest and along steep hills. The Cross sports more aggressive bumpers with black and silver linings, and, of course, a body kit around the perimeter of the entire body. It seems like a sham, but with frequent driving on unpaved and simply dirty roads, the overlays should extend the life of the paint on the sills and wheel arches. And this is a question of corrosion resistance and presentation of station wagons after several years of intensive use. But owners of simple station wagons can save money in the event of a rear-end collision - their bumper is completely borrowed from the sedan. But Cross’s bumpers are original and quite complexly organized.

For the Lada Vesta, the cross in the forest is somehow calmer, the plastic body protects.

Is it possible to load the refrigerator?

The declared trunk volume is 480 liters. It seems not bad at all, but when you lift the back door, you find a clearly smaller hold; not every refrigerator will fit. However, the floor panels are liftable, and underneath them hides a pair of organizers with a total volume of 95 liters. For convenience, the trunk can be divided into 2 parts, and plastic organizers can be completely removed.

On the left there is a place for storing containers with a fixing strap, a 15-liter niche on the right
wheel arch, covered with a cover.

With the second row seats folded – 825 liters. The double floor with organizer aims to create a flat surface when folding the rear seatbacks, but, as we can see, it doesn’t work very well. The rear seat cushion will not stand upright; it must be removed from the passenger compartment to level the floor; you can remove it, but this is not an easy task.

Under the main floor, of course, there is a full-size spare wheel, although it is 15-inch and on a steel rim. Next to the spare tire is another organizer and a thick layer of sound insulation. On the sides of the trunk there are also compartments for small items, hooks for packages and even a 12-volt outlet. Unexpected luxury for a budget car. The fifth door is closed with powerful handles, which are provided both on the right and on the left.

We sit in the back.

Lada-Vesta-SW-Cross: Here the head does not rest against the ceiling, and there is enough space for the legs. Unlike the sedan, the distance from the seat to the ceiling has increased by 25 mm. Reach forward and you will find heated rear seats.

With the new rear doors, getting into the back seat has become more convenient. A central armrest with a pair of cup holders has appeared, and in the maximum version, for those sitting in the back, there is a heated rear sofa, a USB connector and a 12-volt socket. But the headrests are not very comfortable - in the upper position they are too low for people 180 cm tall and above.

Let's get behind the wheel.

The interior of the Vesta station wagon differs little from. But the Lada Cross is painted from the heart.

Lada-Vesta-SW-Cross

Over the past 2 years, VAZ has not only managed to develop a station wagon, but also slightly modified the interior. In the top versions, a full-fledged central armrest finally appeared. It is convenient to place your right hand on it, and there is a small compartment inside. In order to cheer up the driver, Vesta SW and Vesta Cross received a painted instrument panel.

Tolyatti residents clearly picked up this idea from, he also has orange accents in the interior.

The simple station wagon has only slightly colored instruments, while the raised version has the Cross inscription on the speedometer and brighter accents. In addition, it is distinguished by contrasting inserts on the seats, a different pattern on the plastic inserts of the front panel and doors, as well as chrome handles. The handles on the station wagon are matte.

Motor

Lada-Vesta-SW: 1.8-liter, 122-horsepower, 16-valve.

But the 1.8-liter 122-horsepower engine disappointed. Even paired with mechanics borrowed from Renault, the engine clearly does not live up to expectations. We drove the Vesta together, and when accelerating to the floor, the acceleration in higher gears occurs slowly. Perhaps the problem is that the test cars have not yet been run-in, and the odometers only have 500-600 km. However, Korean classmates, already leaving the factory, drive better even with a more modest volume of 1.6 liters. Compared to them, the VAZ engine trembles under load and even after 2000 rpm does not indulge in a reserve of traction. Yes, Togliatti units have proven themselves to be very reliable and repairable, but in the modern world this is no longer enough. They clearly need to improve traction both at low and high speeds.

Lada-Vesta-SW-Cross, like its station wagon brother, is equipped with two engines - 1.6 (106 hp) and 1.8 liters (122 hp).

The classic machine gun is missing.

And, of course, the main problem of the entire Vesta family is the lack of a full-fledged automatic transmission. It is no coincidence that only cars with manual transmission were tested; the VAZ team is well aware of the inferiority of its robot (AMT) and tries not to show it to journalists again. We can only hope for help from abroad. Either Vesta will receive a 4-speed Jatco automatic transmission, which is again being installed on the Grant, or the French will share a CVT from Renault Kaptur.

Let's go for a ride again.

On the road, the Vesta station wagon is practically no different from the sedan. The body turned out to be very rigid and the car follows the wheel perfectly. The steering wheel with a standard electric booster is an example of accuracy and information content. Vesta Cross is 25 mm higher (station wagon ground clearance 178 mm) and this had its effect. While you're driving quietly, the difference is almost imperceptible, but on the shifts you feel a little deeper body roll, which stems not only from the high suspension, but also from the wider and grippier Pirelli tires.

On crossovers, the Cross rolls a little more than a station wagon.

Lada-Vesta-SW-Cross

And when leaving the asphalt, it is better to slow down a little. Low-profile 17-inch wheels do not favor sharp bumps too much, and, secondly, the increase in ground clearance has led to a reduction in the rebound stroke. At bends in the road, the wheels continually end up in the air.

When hanging one wheel, the trunk opens easily, which indicates sufficient body rigidity.

If you lock the car in this position, the trunk opens perfectly, which is great. However, from the point of view of cross-country ability, the reduction in the rebound stroke is a definite disadvantage. So, if the needs for increased ground clearance are not too great, try to get by with the regular Vesta station wagon or think about switching to more modest rims; perhaps tires with an off-road pattern would be better suited. But this is a topic for a separate conversation, when the time comes for the all-wheel drive Vesta.

Will there be all-wheel drive?

Lada-Vesta-SW-Cross

When asked directly about the release date of the Vesta Cross with all-wheel drive, the VAZ team is evasive in Russian. They say that the market is unlikely to be ready to buy such a car in large volumes, and as long as there is no confirmed demand, there is no production. But considering that the rear beam on the Vesta is very similar to that of the Lada Largus, and therefore the Renault Duster, technically there is certainly such a possibility. All that remains is to attach the box not from Logan, but from the all-wheel drive Duster, to the VAZ engine, select the appropriate length of the cardan shafts and adjust the clutch in the rear wheel drive. But considering that the construction of the station wagon took the Togliatti residents 2 years instead of the promised one, the all-wheel drive Vesta will have to wait in the hope that it will remain in the fashion trend.

So what should you choose?

For those who want a truly large trunk, it is definitely better to look at the larger Lada Largus; it will carry almost twice as much luggage, and it will also be more convenient for passengers. But in essence, Largus is a big first-generation Logan, with all that it implies. Vesta is the choice of a driver who wants, first of all, to get a stylish and dynamic car, and a beautifully finished trunk and increased ground clearance are a pleasant bonus that sets Vesta Cross apart from the line of ordinary sedans. Well, in general, we got the hint.

Let’s also add that Vesta Cross is a good signal that Lada... (ugh, ugh, ugh) can.

Several interesting new models, excellent sales figures, carpet bombing of the nerve cells of competitors - it would not be an exaggeration to say that AvtoVAZ is now doing better than ever since the collapse of the USSR. But this success also has a downside: people from Togliatti right now are under enormous pressure and close attention of almost every mature Russian. Even those who had no intention of buying a Lada at all. And this leaves the VAZ team virtually no chance for error. Only forward!

Remember how AvtoVAZ launched the first-born of the new wave - the Lada Vesta sedan. Slowly and carefully. No unnecessary information noise, no “accidentally” published brochures with the model’s appearance in the media. The VAZ workers themselves provided information to the extent they considered necessary. And now Vesta is already in the top three best-selling cars in Russia! Without pretentious presentations with stunt tricks, “brand ambassadors” from among celebrities and other blue lights - solely at the expense of their own talents.

And here's another new model. Even one and a half. This is Lada Vesta SW and its all-terrain version SW Cross. Didn't find the word "station wagon" in the previous sentence? Because AvtoVAZ actively avoids this term.

The reason is that when the question of what the second version of Vesta should be after the sedan was discussed, many options were considered. There was a hatchback, a liftback, a coupe - and, of course, a station wagon. Which could have turned out to be noticeably larger than the car the keys to which they gave us. But it was this body, in the opinion of its creators, that embodied all the options that were initially studied.

The serial Vesta SW is something between a classic station wagon with a long rear overhang and a hatchback with a short stern. And this is good, because, frankly speaking, there are few successful examples of converting sedans into hatchbacks. Just remember the five-door Hyundai Solaris of the previous generation and the Chevrolet Cruze hatchback - a design disaster, no less.

AvtoVAZ was helped to avoid such a failure by the correct approach to choosing a body, and by the skillful hands and bright mind of chief designer Steve Mattin. It is also an initially successful donor both in terms of proportions and content.

The Lada Vesta SW is not even a thoroughly redesigned sedan, but rather a copy of it with a redesigned roof in the rear and different springs in the rear suspension. The wheelbase here is the same as that of the four-door, the width and even length are also unchanged. The ground clearance also remained unchanged: from the bottom of the car to the surface of the planet there is still 178 millimeters. Only the height has become different: the top point of the body is now located 15 millimeters higher.

But to hell with her increased height. After all, you're interested in the trunk, aren't you? And the cargo compartment of the Lada Vesta SW and SW Cross is their huge advantage over their competitors. And not only because station wagons of this class have died out like dinosaurs on the Russian market.

There is a set of nets for securing loads. On the left is a decent-sized niche for all sorts of small things, and next to it there is a container for a five-liter canister with washer, which can be tightly tied to the wall with special straps. Directly opposite is a lockable pocket in which you can hide objects of quite decent dimensions from strangers.

But that's not all. Vesta SW and SW Cross have a double luggage compartment floor. It is two-sectional, and on the second tier there are two very strong but lightweight organizers, divided into segments! If necessary, all this can be taken out and hidden in the garage - and the trunk becomes even larger. True, only in this state, without a raised floor and organizers, do you get the same declared 480 liters of useful volume. With them - less.

But if you're thinking about getting upset about the previous sentence, don't rush it. Because the new modification of Vesta has another cellar! There is a full-size spare tire and... a third organizer. Looking at all this, it seems that one of the VAZ employees came to work in a Skoda, started boasting about Simply Clever features, and the people responsible for the development of Vesta rolled up their sleeves and decided to make it even cooler. There would also be handles with which the backs of the rear seats can be folded straight out of the trunk, like in the Mazda CX-5 and Honda CR-V... Sorry, I was daydreaming.

By the time the station wagons were released on the market, the VAZ team also treated those childhood ailments that the sedan was once blessed with. For example, a fixed center armrest appeared between the front seats, rather than a limp piece of fabric and foam rubber. The gas filler flap is now locked with a central lock, and on the trunk lid there is... a trunk release button! The sedan will also have all this - later.

But not all the sores were cured. The finishing materials in the cabin are still infinitely far from ideal: the toughest plastic on the test cars is a no-no, and it will creak, despite the ridiculous mileage of less than a thousand kilometers. The multimedia system also leaves much to be desired. The graphics are from 1996, the frightening logic of the menu, the size of the icons and arrows, as well as their unsuccessful drawing. And the CityGuide navigation every now and then offers strange hints and non-obvious routes.

The engine range, like plastic with multimedia, migrated from the sedan to the station wagon without changes: two gasoline “fours” with a displacement of 1.6 and 1.8 liters, producing 106 and 122 horsepower, respectively. The news is different: the top-end engine is now combined with a five-speed manual gearbox on several versions - the same as on the Lada Largus and Renault Sandero. On the sedan, before the appearance of the new Exclusive modification, all cars from 1.8 were equipped exclusively with monstrous “robots” of AvtoVAZ’s own design.

I completely sincerely and honestly believed that the only thing worse than this transmission could be nuclear weapons and falling apart dumplings. But at AvtoVAZ they say that they receive little negative feedback on the operation of the box from those 20 percent of Vesta buyers who chose masochism and this “robot.”

However, I wanted to try out a pair consisting of a 1.8 engine and a French “mechanics” most of all. Especially on Vesta SW. Because in all other driving characteristics it is identical to the sedan: it also pleases with the stability and clarity of reactions in corners, it follows the pleasantly loaded steering wheel just as accurately and nimbly, and the suspension just as confidently copes with almost all the misunderstandings that for some reason in this country often called roads.

But the potential of the engine, which seemed to be hidden behind the shortcomings of the “robot,” turned out to be not as impressive as we would like. The engine itself is highly unified with the 1.6 unit - except that it is equipped with an intake phase shifter and has a larger volume. It has the same cylinder block, but the displacement has increased solely due to the increase in piston stroke. But! They began to develop it when some potential owners of Vesta were still enthusiastically looking at books that had more pictures than letters. Therefore, it is still not worth demanding feats from this unit.

According to the passport, thrust, far from the record 170 Nm, comes only to 3700 rpm, and up to 2000 the engine frankly sleeps. Therefore, if you have any kind of steep climb ahead of you, you must approach gear selection and pedaling with all responsibility.

The traction sank a little - that’s all. Even jump on the gas pedal, put a brick on it, ask for help to put pressure on the person in the passenger seat: Vesta still won’t accelerate. Therefore, we push the long and not very clear gear lever one, or even a couple of steps lower, and only after that we move on.

However, Vesta with 1.8 and manual transmission still drives a hundred times better than the version with a robot. If only because it does not present surprises, such as sudden switching with even more sudden clutch releases. 10-20 kilometers - and you already more or less understand where the tachometer needle should be before the next maneuver. And once you get used to it, you begin to figure out how to reduce the consumption of 92 gasoline, which on Sochi roads ranged from 11 to 13 liters per hundred.

But you are probably more interested in something else - how does the most beautiful version of Cross drive?

Already in the base there are 17-inch wheels, large by the standards of the class, 203 mm ground clearance and other springs and shock absorbers. You could have waited for anything, but the people from AvtoVAZ took the medical “do no harm” as a basis and did everything to ensure that the driving character of the Vesta did not deteriorate. And they succeeded in this!

Moreover, the Lada Vesta SW Cross feels even more lively and interesting than the base sedan! Feedback on the steering wheel is more transparent, the chassis is still tenacious and collected, and the suspension, despite the additional load in the form of 17-inch wheels, still perfectly handles bumps and road surface defects of almost any scale.

These beautiful two-color discs covered joints of concrete slabs, giant asphalt patches, gravel, large stones with sharp edges, and sewer manholes. And nothing! On small things, peace and comfort reign in the car, and on more serious defects, the body may shudder, but without hard impacts, unnecessary noise or frightening consequences.

Of course, Vesta SW Cross is not a car without flaws. The 1.8 engine is still just as sluggish, and the hard plastic on the door armrests will still rub the elbows resting on them. But “Cross” masterfully knows how to hide all this behind an excellent design, high ground clearance, which some crossovers would envy, and an excellent chassis. And in Russia, as a rule, they ask for something like a million or more.

But rules are meant to be broken, right? Therefore, prices for a regular station wagon start at a reasonable 639,900 rubles for a car with a 106-horsepower 1.6 and a manual transmission. For 25,000 rubles on top, the car will be equipped with a robot. A modification with a 1.8 engine costs at least 697,900 rubles, and with a 1.8 and two pedals – from 722,900 rubles.

The cross version is naturally more expensive. For the minimum configuration they will charge 755,900 rubles. It will be a car with 1.6 and mechanics, but with front and side airbags, an alarm system, an on-board computer, remote control central locking, electric windows all around, climate control, heated front seats, light and rain sensors, electric drive and heated mirrors, cruise -control and 17-inch wheels.

The most expensive Lada Vesta SW Cross costs 847,900 rubles. That is, AvtoVAZ made a B-segment car, which even at the top did not reach 900,000 rubles. In our time this is an achievement.

The interior architecture of Vesta SW and SW Cross is the same as that of the sedan. But there are new decorative inserts (on the Cross version), which look much better and more organic than those of the sedan

There are orange accents on the dashboard as well. It has become brighter, but I still want the shield to be simpler. Too many unnecessary design elements

The back of the sedan was already spacious and this quality of the Lada Vesta has not gone away. But tall passengers in the back will be more comfortable

Passengers in the second row have heated seat cushions and a USB port for charging gadgets.

The trunk does not amaze with its record volume, but it pleases with its layout. True, you won’t get a flat platform with the backrests folded down.

The set of nets on the Lada Vesta SW is very convenient

Vesta is still a very young model and the first AvtoVAZ car created within the framework of the brand’s new philosophy. The potential for renewal and improvement is enormous. And they will introduce something already next year: we were promised that new multimedia systems will soon appear on Ladas. Most likely, with already built-in Yandex services.

Lada Vesta SW and SW Cross, of course, are not the standard, and the same new Solaris has something to say here. On the other hand, Vesta looks and drives like a good modern car. It is well packaged, offers serious ground clearance, a coolly laid out trunk, and it’s not scary to drive four people over long distances: the cabin is quite quiet, and in the second row the SW not only has a lot of legroom for rear passengers, but also for heads – the ceiling height in the rear of the body has grown by 25 millimeters.

But the main thing is that thanks to Vesta SW and SW Cross, we now know for sure that there, in Togliatti, there are people who know how to make good cars. Cars for which you are not ashamed. Cars that if you want to scold, it’s not out of despair, but because you have confidence - at AvtoVAZ they know exactly how to make them better. It’s a pleasant and unusual feeling, isn’t it?

The Lada car brand, producing its cars, every year gets a little closer to world standards. This is manifested primarily by the fact that car assembly is becoming better and better, and the price is becoming more affordable. Just recently, on August 26, 2015, at the international auto exhibition Moscow Off-RoadShow, the appearance of the new Russian beauty Lada Vesta Cross was declassified.

New off-road station wagon from VAZ, Lada Vesta Cross 2015-2016

According to the company, only a concept car was presented, a photo from the exhibition of which we can see in the article, the concept was created in the shortest possible time and the cost of this project will not exceed 1,000,000 euros. The car takes the position of an off-road station wagon.

Vesta Cross crossover design

The photo and video materials attached to this article will help you evaluate the exterior in full, its level of modernity, dynamics and charisma. The external style of the VAZ car has certain similarities with, in particular, the X-shaped style, because the front lights are divided into sections, which gives a certain appearance of similarity.

Vesta Cross 2015, front view

If you look closely, you will notice that in the lower part of the front bumper there are niches for the location of fog lights.

The bottom, unlike the sedan, is protected along the perimeter by powerful linings made of unpainted plastic, which is insensitive to scratches. This body kit complemented the theme with the front and rear bumpers, sills, lower sections of the doors and wheel arches.

Vesta Cross 2015-2016, side view

The false radiator grille is divided by two chrome bars. The company logo located in the same area is quite impressive in size.

On the sides there are interesting stampings, similar to those on the front bumper, only larger. The trunk is roomy, the door is not very large.

There is no need to talk about the decoration inside the machine. We can only say one thing, the interior will be made using the highest quality materials and that it will be very similar to that of a platform sedan. Only a few modern, fresh details will be added to the Lada Vesta Cross. The dynamic image will be complemented inside by a climate control system, multi-steering wheel and much more.

Technical characteristics of Lada Vesta Cross 2016-2017

The most interesting information concerns, of course, the technical characteristics, or more precisely, the newly developed gas engine:

– with a volume of 1.8 liters, which has various degrees of power.

The plans are to install such a motor not only on the production version of the station wagon, but also on the Cross versions, which are also produced by AvtoVAZ.

The start of production promises to begin with the fact that in the engine compartment of the Vesta Cross with increased cross-country ability we will see one of two options for a 1.6 liter engine with a power of 106 or 114 horsepower.

They will be coupled with a five-speed manual transmission. An optional robotic transmission will be available. The platform of the Lada Vesta sedan is taken as the base.

In the development of the latter, along with VAZ engineers, high-profile specialists from Renault-Nissan were directly involved.
