The Audi e-tron Sportback SUV has been completely declassified. European prices for the new Audi e-tron have become known. Recovery and fast charging

In September two thousand and eighteen, at a special event in San Francisco, the first production electric crossover Audi e-tron was presented, which is positioned by the manufacturer as a model that can be easily transferred from a regular car.

From the outside, the new Audi e-tron 2019 (photo and price) is in many ways similar to the flagship SUV, but still not a complete copy of it. There are original head optics with sagging side sections, a signature hexagonal radiator grille and small air duct slits in the front bumper.

The electric crossover is most similar to the Q-8 in profile - there is a similar shape of side glazing with small windows in the wide rear pillars, as well as characteristic stampings on the wings. The wheels have 21-inch wheels shod with Eagle F1 tires measuring 265/45.

At the rear of the new Audi e-tron 2019 model there are narrow lights using the thinnest organic light-emitting diodes (OLED), which are characterized by an unusually bright and uniform light, and are also interconnected. At the presentation, all cars were equipped with rear-view cameras, but so far their use is only permitted in Japan.

In the interior of the SUV, much is familiar from other models of the company. There is a four-spoke steering wheel, a virtual instrument panel, and two large displays on the center console. A distinctive feature of the e-tron is the massive fixed selector on the dashboard, while switching transmission modes is carried out using a rocker key at its end.

On modifications with rear view cameras, instead of traditional mirrors in the door panels, 7.0-inch displays are integrated, which display images from these cameras. At the same time, the image can be scaled (like on a smartphone), and there are three modes of operation: parking, driving on the highway and cornering.

The rear sofa is designed for three people, while there is no central tunnel, so even the average rider should be quite comfortable. The trunk volume under the shelf here is 600 liters, and with the backrests of the second row folded it increases to 1,700 liters. There is also a small compartment under the hood where you can attach a set of tools and a charger.

Specifications

The electric Audi e-tron 2019 is built on the modular MLB Evo platform, and the base already includes adjustable air suspension. At high speed, the crossover lowers by 26 mm, and in off-road mode the body can be raised by 35 mm. If the car is stuck, then using the “Raise” function, the ground clearance can be briefly increased by another 15 millimeters.

The overall length of the Audi e-tron is 4,901 mm, the wheelbase is 2,928, the width is 1,935, and the height is 1,616. Thus, in all respects, the electric car turned out to be slightly more compact than the Q8. But if the latter has a drag coefficient of 0.34, then on the e-tron it was reduced to 0.28, although on the Tesla Model X it is 0.24.

So far, the Germans have presented the only modification of the Audi e-tron 55 quattro, equipped with two asynchronous electric motors (one on each axle) with a total power of 408 hp. and 664 Nm. True, peak output is available only for a short time, while the nominal output is a little more modest and amounts to 360 hp. and 560 Nm of torque.

The crossover takes 5.7 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h, and the top speed is electronically limited to 200 kilometers per hour. A set of lithium-ion batteries (weighing 700 kg) with a capacity of 95 kWh is responsible for powering the electric motors. The declared range for the WLTP cycle reaches 400 kilometers, while the car can pull a trailer weighing up to 1,814 kg.

It takes 8.5 hours to fully recharge the batteries using the basic 11 kW device, while the more powerful optional 22 kW unit reduces the time to 4.5 hours. If you use the Ionity fast charging station, you can replenish the battery capacity by approximately 80%. in half an hour. It is noteworthy that the charge level is displayed on a special indicator in the glove compartment area.

Of course, the 2019-2020 Audi e-tron is equipped with a recovery system, without which its range would be a third less. There are unusual electro-hydraulic brakes installed here, and the pedal is not connected to hydraulics. When decelerating to -0.3 g, only the electric motors reduce the speed, although the system is configured in such a way that after -0.1 g it is necessary to press the left pedal to brake.

What is the price

The price of the new Audi e-tron 2019 in Germany starts from 79,900 euros, sales in Europe will begin before the end of the eighteenth year, and production of the model is established at the company’s plant in Belgium. Deliveries of electric cars to the United States are planned for the second quarter of 2019, and the timing of their appearance in Russia has not yet been specified.

Like other representatives of the brand, the crossover is offered with many different options, including several types of leather upholstery, a panoramic roof, four-zone climate control, a Bang & Olufsen audio system, etc.

It is noteworthy that by 2025 the Germans plan to expand the line of electric vehicles to 12 models. The younger models will be built on the new modular MEB platform of the Volkswagen concern, and for the older ones, together with Porsche, a special PPE (Premium Platform Electric) chassis is being developed.

A mature hatchback with innovative technologies on board. Meet the ambitious 2016 Audi A3 Sportback E-Tron, capable of ending the era of diesel engines.

The new Audi A3 Sportback e-Tron, like its “green” competitor, promotes a new lifestyle. The rapid design of the model is emphasized by proprietary LED optics at both ends of the model. At the front, the radiator grille with 14 horizontal chrome stripes shines expressively, and a sports bumper, consisting of three sections and a small splitter, adds a little sportiness. From the side you can see that the “nose” of the model is raised slightly upward due to the lithium-ion batteries located under the rear seats. The design features a pair of conservative lines and 16-inch wheels mounted inside sculpted wheel arches. The aft part is distinguished by the lower part of the rear bumper, where instead of the exhaust pipes there is now a pair of chrome inserts.

Audi A3 Sportback e-Tron interior

When you get behind the wheel, it immediately becomes clear what it is. This is evidenced not only by the four rings on the steering wheel, but also by the excellent fit of all sporty design elements. The driver's instrument panel received a new analog battery charge sensor % Power, which replaced the usual tachometer. The central dashboard with the gearshift knob also has a slightly different appearance. Other distinctive design elements include a 7-inch MMI display, an optional panoramic sunroof, a Bang & Olufsen premium audio system and climate control jets.

Audi A3 Sportback E-Tron 2016 specifications and price

Under the hood is a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine with a capacity of 150 horsepower. Between it and the 6-speed S-Tronic dual-clutch transmission is a 75-kilowatt electric motor. In total, the family hatchback generates 206 hp. power and 350 Nm of torque. Acceleration to hundreds takes 7.8 seconds, and the top speed is 210 km/h. Fuel consumption in hybrid mode is 2.7 liters per hundred, but driving only on a gasoline engine will “evaporate” 7 liters every 100 km. It should be borne in mind that the 8.8 kWh lithium-ion battery adds weight to the car and deprives it of a spare wheel. Powered by an electric motor, the Audi A3 can travel at a maximum speed of 130 km/h and a range of up to 30 km, which is ideal for urban conditions. The 240-volt charging socket is hidden behind the emblem at the front of the car. A full charge will take 2 hours and 15 minutes.

The 2016 Audi A3 Sportback E-Tron has a base price of $38,800. For this amount, the buyer gets a car from a premium brand, with a sufficient amount of luxury, the ability to leave the city limits on weekends, as well as technologies of the near future. Agree, this is quite a good deal.

The Audi e-tron is a full-size all-wheel drive premium SUV with an all-electric powertrain, which is primarily aimed at wealthy people who keep up with the times and value the driving characteristics of the car, but at the same time paying close attention to the environment...

For the first time, this electric crossover appeared before an international audience as a concept car in the fall of 2015 – at the stands of the “four rings” in Frankfurt. This “German”, designed to impose competition on the Tesla Model X, received an avant-garde design, a “space” interior, three electric motors and a capacious lithium-ion battery (providing over half a thousand kilometers).

Commercial production of the five-door began on September 3, 2018 at the brand’s Belgian plant in Brussels, but the serial electric SUV debuted in all its glory only a few days later (September 17, to be precise) at a special event in San Francisco.

On the way to the production line, the “German” did not lose its visual effectiveness, but it was simplified a little in technical terms - it was separated from two electric motors and its “range” was reduced to 400 km.

In appearance, the Audi e-tron quattro is beautiful, sporty, bold and impressive - at first glance, its aggressive appearance, “seasoned” with an entourage of unpainted plastic along the lower edge of the body, does not fit in with the electric “filling”.

From the front, the crossover demonstrates a piercing look of lighting technology with “sprouts” of running lights, a monumental “octahedron” radiator grille and a sculptural bumper, and from the rear it boasts spectacular organic LED lights and massive “hips”.

And in profile the car looks stunning - its powerful and squat silhouette attracts attention with the huge “cutouts” of the wheel arches, the developed relief of the sidewalls and the sloping outlines of the roof.

In terms of its dimensions, the e-tron quattro occupies a niche between the Q5 and Q7 SUVs: the five-door is 4901 mm long, of which the wheelbase extends to 2928 mm, and the width and height are 1935 mm and 1616 mm, respectively.

In normal condition, the ground clearance of the electric crossover is 172 mm, but thanks to the air suspension it varies in the range of 76 mm: outside the roads the body can rise by 50 mm, and when driving at speeds over 120 km/h it drops by 26 mm.

When equipped, the car weighs 2400 kg, and is capable of towing trailers weighing up to 1814 kg.

The interior of the electric crossover amazes with its “cosmic” design - riders inside the “German” are immersed in augmented reality, which is formed by the dashboard screen, the central touch monitor of the MMI infotainment system and a separate display responsible for the “microclimate”.

The progressive minimalism of the current Audi “apartments” in the e-tron quattro is taken to a new level, and even the embossed multi-steering wheel with a rim flattened at the bottom fits perfectly into the overall picture.

According to the passport, the car has a five-seater layout, and in fact, the second row of seats can accommodate three adult passengers without any problems. In the front part of the cabin there are ergonomic seats with pronounced sidewalls, unobtrusive lumbar support bolsters, moderately dense filling and a wide range of electrical adjustments.

In terms of practicality, the Audi e-tron is in perfect order: when traveling, the SUV’s trunk can accommodate 600 liters of luggage. The back of the rear sofa folds flush with the floor in three sections in the ratio “40:20:40”, due to which the capacity of the “hold” increases to 1700 liters. Under the raised floor there is an additional niche for small items.

The only modification available for the Audi e-tron is the 55 quattro, which is driven by two asynchronous three-phase electric motors (one each on the front and rear axles), generating a total of 360 horsepower (265 kW) and 561 Nm of torque.
In overboost mode they are capable of producing 408 hp. (300 kW) and 660 Nm of torque, but such indicators cannot last longer than one minute.

By default, the electric crossover is equipped with a lithium-ion battery (liquid-cooled) with a capacity of 95 kWh, which provides it with a “range” of 400 km on a single charge.

The car accelerates from zero to the first “hundred” in 5.8 seconds, and is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 200 km/h.

When using a basic 11 kW charger, it takes 8.5 hours to fully saturate the batteries from a regular outlet, but with the optional 22 kW charger this figure is reduced by 4 hours. Well, replenishing electricity reserves by 80% using fast charging stations takes only half an hour.

At the heart of the electric crossover is a modular “trolley” MLB Evo with the widest use of aluminum in the “skeleton” and an independent running system “in a circle”: the SUV demonstrates a double-lever system in front, and a multi-link system in the rear. In addition, the car flaunts an adaptive air suspension that automatically adjusts the ground clearance depending on driving conditions, a fully controlled chassis and smart drive control technology that distributes traction between three engines.

The electric crossover boasts progressive electric power steering and ventilated discs on all wheels, complemented by a host of modern goodies.

In the countries of the Old World, sales of the Audi e-tron quattro will start before the end of 2018 - in Germany they will ask for at least 79,900 euros (~6.2 million rubles). In the second quarter of 2019, the electric crossover will reach the United States at a price of $74,800 (~5 million rubles) ... and in the future it may appear on the Russian market.

The standard SUV is equipped with: a scattering of airbags, full LED optics, ABS, EBD, ESP, heated and electric front seats, virtual instrument cluster, multimedia system, dual-zone climate control, air suspension, adaptive cruise, 21-inch forged wheels, a servo drive for the fifth door, a premium audio system and a host of other modern equipment.

Another coupe-shaped electric crossover from the Volkswagen concern? Yes. But while the twins are technically identical, the five-door Audi e-tron Sportback is cut from a different cloth. It is not built on the specialized MEV electric platform of the Volkswagen concern, but on a standard MLB “trolley” for cars with a longitudinal internal combustion engine!

This is a relative of the serial crossovers Audi Q7 and Q5, as well as, which will become serial in 2018. And if, when creating the G8, the designers deliberately avoided resemblance to the BMW X6 and Mercedes GLE Coupe models, then the profile of the new concept is the same as that of its competitors. With a length of 4900 mm, the Sportback is almost 100 mm shorter than the “eight”, that is, it falls into the niche between the Q5 and Q8 models.

Traction is provided not by two, as in the Skoda and Volkswagen concepts, but by three electric motors: one on the front and two on the rear axle. The nominal total output is 435 hp, but at its peak it can briefly reach 503 hp. With this powertrain, the Audi e-tron Sportback can accelerate to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. And a battery with a capacity of 95 kWh located under the cabin floor provides up to 500 km of range (according to the European NEDC cycle).

The status of the concept allowed the creators to experiment as much as possible. Sportback has smart matrix headlights that draw special symbols on the asphalt: for example, on a narrow winding road they will outline the sides, and in front of pedestrians crossing the road they will be able to “spread” a zebra crossing. For background lighting of the interior, 0.02 mm thick luminous inserts are provided on the seats and the front panel. And instead of exterior mirrors, there are rear view cameras that transmit images to screens in the front doors. The solution is not new, but Audi claims that it is close to its implementation on production cars.

But the company’s representatives do not speak with confidence about the serial Audi e-tron Sportback crossover. According to them, the car could go into production in 2019. Apparently, the reaction of the public at the Shanghai Motor Show should decide the assembly line fate of the Sportback.

In San Francisco (USA) on September 17, 2018, the official premiere of the new electric crossover Audi e-tron (Audi e-tron, Audi etron) took place. The review includes technical specifications, equipment, price, photos and videos of the 2019-2020 Audi e-tron with two asynchronous electric motors generating a maximum power of 408 hp. and 660 Nm and a power reserve of up to 400 km. In addition, the crossover has rear view cameras with OLED touch displays instead of traditional mirrors.

The electric Audi e-tron will go on sale in the European and American markets by the end of 2018 at a price of 80,000 euros (price in Germany) and from $74,800 in the USA for the entry-level Premium Plus package, from $81,800 for the Prestige version and $86,700 for the crossover in the top version First Edition. It is also worth noting that the top-end Audi e-tron will be released in a limited edition of 2,600 cars. In this configuration, the car will receive sports seats, Bang & Olufsen Premium Sound System, Driver Assistance Package, Audi Matrix-LED, LED headlights, innovative rear-view camera mirrors, LED headlights, 21-inch wheels and special Antigua Blue enamel.

It is not yet known whether the Audi e-tron will be sold in Russia, since our import duties on electric vehicles are too high and if the situation does not change in the near future, then if the Audi e-tron appears on the Russian market, it will cost at least 5 .5 million rubles.

The overall body dimensions of the 2019-2020 Audi e-tron are 4901 mm in length with a wheelbase of 2928 mm, a width of 1935 mm and a height of 1616 mm with a ground clearance of 172 mm.

The crossover, depending on the configuration, is equipped with 20-inch wheels with 255/50 R20 tires or 21-inch wheels with 265/45 R21 tires.
The new Audi e-tron has a stylish body with a low drag coefficient of 0.28 Cx, active radiator shutters, a flat bottom, miniature rear view camera housings, an adaptive suspension that lowers the crossover body when driving at high speed, and a lot of aerodynamic parts.

There is also a large, expressive radiator grille, all-LED headlights, a stylish relief of the horizontal and vertical surfaces of the body, a powerful plastic body kit around the perimeter of the body, huge cutouts of the wheel arches and a solid rear end with an LED chandelier of side lights.

The five-seater interior of the Audi e-tron is designed in the style of modern Audi cars and is very similar to the interior of the Audi A6. So here everything is familiar to Audi owners: there is a virtual instrument panel, OLED touch screens showing images from rear view cameras are located on the door panels, comfortable seats in the first row with pronounced lateral support and a hospitable second row designed for three passengers, as well as the original design of the central tunnel with an extremely convenient transmission control selector.

At the top of the center console there is a multimedia system with a 10.1-inch touch screen (MMI Navigation plus, Wi-Fi and MMI touch response operating system), and just below there is an 8.6-inch touch panel for the climate control system, from which you can control not only the climate , but also auxiliary functions of the car.

The electric crossover is also equipped with a Bang & Olufsen Premium Sound System and a Driver Assistance Package system (adaptive cruise control, traffic jam pilot, emergency braking system, parking assistant, all-round visibility system).

The Audi e-tron also boasts not one, but two luggage compartments. In the front, the luggage compartment volume is only 60 liters (designed to store a charger and the necessary tools, and in the rear the luggage compartment can take from 600 to 1700 liters, plus a small bonus box for small items under the false floor.

Technical characteristics of the Audi e-tron 2019-2020.
The electric crossover is driven by two asynchronous three-phase electric motors that produce 265 kW (360 hp) and 561 Nm, but the maximum thrust of 300 kW (408 hp and 660 Nm) is available only for 8 seconds.
From 0 to 100 km, the electric crossover weighing 2400 kg accelerates in almost 6.0 seconds, and its top speed is 200 km/h. With careful driving and a full charge, the range is 400 km.
A battery with a capacity of 95 kWh is installed under the cabin floor (battery weight is 700 kg, and dimensions are 2280 mm long, 1630 mm wide, 340 mm high).
With a basic 11 kWh charger, it takes 8.5 hours to fully charge the Audi e-tron; as an option, you can order a more powerful 22 kWh charger with which the electric car can be charged in 4.5 hours, and with the most advanced charger (150 -kilowatt station Ionity) can replenish the power reserve up to 80% in just 30 minutes.
Among other things, the crossover is also equipped with a braking energy recovery system with electro-hydraulic brakes, an adjustable air suspension with an adjustment range of 76 mm and all-wheel drive.
