The manual also describes the principles of operation of the system. After studying the user reviews and the provisions of the instructions, we can highlight the basic principles of working with Starline A9. Programming the key fob will be a simple task. Tips from experienced motorists will allow you to set up quickly. This will enable you to use all the options. The alarm can be configured to operate in autostart mode or without it. The blocking function is also configured.

General information

"Starline A9", the operating instructions for which require study before starting the installation of the system and programming the key fob, is an alarm system with remote engine start. It has a two-way radio communication channel. Its range on terrain without obstacles is 600 m. In pager mode, this figure is increased by 2 times.

The coding of the radio signal is dynamic. The choice of control commands is carried out according to the cursor principle. Each command is controlled by its own button. It is displayed on the key fob display. The system provides sound and vibration alerts.

In addition to the basic data on the state of the car, the key fob shows the user the time, temperature in the cabin, as well as an alarm clock.

You can install the presented system on cars with a diesel, gasoline or turbocharged engine type. The transmission can be automatic or manual.

Safety regulations

Using the functions of remote or automatic engine start, control of machine components, it is necessary to follow the safety measures for using the Starline A9 system. The instruction manual clearly indicates them.

It is important to park your car in a well-visible area. In this case, it must be installed on the parking brake. The automatic transmission must be in PARK and the manual transmission must be in neutral.

Do not start the engine in the absence of the driver in the cabin, if someone is in front of or behind the car. The key fob must not be given to children or persons who do not know how to operate this device. The machine must be in good condition, there must be a sufficient amount of all consumables and fuel in its system.

Key fob

The built-in alarm functions are performed automatically or by means of key fob signals. Some of them can be changed. The procedure is prescribed in the instructions for the Starline A9 system. Keychain programming is easy. For this, the device has three buttons. Information is displayed on a liquid crystal display.

The car can be controlled by one or more key fobs. If you lose the main device with a screen, you can use a spare remote control. This is a keychain with buttons that does not have the function of providing information to the user. With it, you can control almost all functions of the system.

If car owners use several key fobs with a display, then all information about the state of car systems and alarms will be displayed on the screen of the device from which the command was given.

Button assignment

The Starline A9 remote control with a liquid crystal display is configured using three buttons on the case. Their combinations make it possible to control the functions of the system.

The I button can trigger a programming command if it is pressed once quickly. By holding it for 3 seconds, the driver remotely starts or stops the engine. The user can turn on the protection mode. To do this, with the engine running, this button is also held for 3 seconds.

Button II, when pressed briefly, sets the position of the cursor on the screen. If you hold it for 3 seconds, the trunk will open.

Button III also allows you to control the position of the cursor with a short press. It interrupts the key fob alert signals. To do this, keep it pressed for 0.5 seconds. Press this button for 3 seconds to turn on or turn off the clock, alarm, power saving mode. If it is held pressed for 6 seconds, you can enter the programming mode of the I button.

Pictures on display

All information about the state of the car and the alarm itself can be viewed on the display of the Starline A9 system. The icons on the keychain will help you navigate the settings and control modes. The instructions clearly spell out which picture corresponds to a particular function.

Indication of commands and modes is displayed at the bottom of the screen. You can list it from left to right for a general idea of \u200b\u200bthe functions of the device. To fully understand the purpose of each of them, you need to carefully study the instructions.

The first picture, which is on the left, corresponds to the anti-robbery mode. If it is on the display, this command is enabled. Next is the function of additional channel 3. Moving to the right side, you can see the auto start mode of the motor in terms of temperature. Next comes the function of daily autostart or turning on the engine on an alarm clock. This picture is followed by remote turning on or off the motor.

After that, the modes of silent protection follow. In this case, confirmation beeps do not sound. The following picture corresponds to the guard function with a sound signal. Behind it is a shutdown at a distance of the shock sensor.

A little more to the right is a picture of the Valet service mode. It is followed by a picture of the state of the car's systems and interior temperature indicators. Then there is an additional channel 2. The remote opening of the trunk completes the chain of pictures.

Button I

Button I on the main key fob is user-programmable. This can be done an unlimited number of times. Most often, it is used to turn off or turn on the security mode in the Starline A9 system. Programming a new key fob is easy.

Button III to move the cursor around the screen. When the desired mode is selected, for example, turning on the security function or any other, the movement is stopped. Button III is held for 6 seconds. First, two beeps will sound. Then 3 more. Then the I button is pressed to activate the selected function.

After such programming, a short press of the I button will turn on the previously selected mode. To set a new function for it, perform the above operation again.

Button II

You can also assign a function to button II. It is necessary to press button III quickly several times. The cursor will move clockwise. If you stop for 1-2 seconds and continue moving, it will move counterclockwise.

The pictures listed above will be selected one by one. When the cursor reaches the desired program, the movement of the III button is stopped. To execute the selected program, the user presses the II button.

10 seconds after pressing any button, the cursor will return to its original CHECK state. This command controls the state of the car and the temperature in its cabin. It does not change the state of the alarm. Knowing this, the user will not have a question about how to view the temperature on the Starline A9 keychain. During operation, this command is the most in demand.

Clock setting

Starting to work with the system, you need to learn how to set the time on the Starline A9 keychain. It is necessary to hold the III button until two beeps appear. The clock on the display will flash.

To increase the digital value of hours, minutes, you need to press button I, and to decrease - button II. The transition from hours to minutes is carried out by briefly pressing button III.

After completing the settings, you need to exit the clock setting mode. To do this, hold down the III button until one beep appears. According to the manufacturer's instructions, you can set the alarm or timer readings.

Writing codes

The driver can independently enter the Starline A9 codes into the system memory. Key fob programming is performed in the disarmed mode. You can link up to 4 remotes. This must be done if the alarm for some reason does not see the key fob signal or the car was bought with the system already installed.

To enter the programming mode, you must turn on the ignition. The Valet service button is held until four beeps appear.

First, set up the main key fob. The buttons I and II are pressed on it. For additional remotes without a display, hold down buttons III and IV. After successful recording of the first key fob, one siren signal will sound.

For all key fobs, the same procedure is followed. The interval between entries should not be more than 5 seconds. Otherwise, the programming mode will end automatically. Next, you need to turn off the ignition. The success of the operation will be confirmed by 5 flashes of the side lights of the car.

Engine starting

Many drivers are interested in how to start a car from a key fob. "Starline A9" when connecting the alarm involves programming the type of gearbox. If it is manual, the wire loop is cut during installation (as indicated in the instructions). If the car has an automatic transmission, this element is retained.

The engine type is also set. There are two possibilities for remote engine start. In the first case, you need to put the cursor on the corresponding icon on the display screen. Then you need to press the II button. Or just hold down the I button for 3 seconds.

At the first attempt to start, 3 horns of a siren will sound, 3 flashes of side lights. The key fob will emit a melodic signal. The icon on the display will be permanently lit. You can set the engine warm-up time.

Reset preferences

Sometimes the driver may need information on how to reset the Starline A9 key fob. Actions are performed in a certain sequence. First, the ignition is turned on. Next, the Valet service button is pressed 10 times. After that, the user turns off the ignition. The reset mode is entered if after these manipulations 10 beeps of the siren sound.

The service button must be pressed 1 more time. After that, another siren will sound. The driver presses the I button on the main key fob. A short beep will sound. This means that a reset has been made. The system will exit the setting mode automatically after 5 seconds. The marker lights will flash 5 times. The key fob will emit a melodic signal.

This will allow you to use the built-in functions to the fullest. If necessary, you can restore the system to factory settings. Controlling the key fob will allow you to use the car's security system comfortably and fully.

How to protect your car from theft? Today, this issue worries every motorist, and therefore the range of security systems offered to help him is constantly expanding. What to bet on? Attractive features or budget cost? The Starline A9 alarm saves the owner of the car from making a decision (it successfully combines both the first and the second).

100% protection

The car security system of this model is rightfully considered one of the best. And there is a reason for this: a high degree of protection. This enviable security is due to two points:

  1. Sophisticated original encryption principle. It is he who is the basis of the dynamic code, reliably protected from interception. It is almost impossible to crack an individual cipher (but the manufacturer decided to play it safe and enhance the effect with a non-standard solution).
  2. Extraordinary innovative approach. In this car alarm model, the principle of zoning has also been successfully applied. Each separate section is guarded (ICE, parking brake, hood, doors, trunk, windows, ignition lock). And a specific device (switch, sensor, relay) is responsible for this. All information about an attempted burglary or harm is displayed on the alarm key fob. Alarm signals are activated when any of the above zones are affected.

The flawless operation of the protective functions is also due to the fact that the state of all elements of the system is constantly under control. The failure of one of them is diagnosed by the device itself in a matter of seconds (the car owner will know about the existing problem immediately after they are detected). This option (self-diagnosis) completely eliminates any risks (provided that the motorist takes the necessary measures to eliminate them in a timely manner).

Luxury comfort

Another advantage of the starline a9 alarm is its ability to combine business with pleasure. It is replete with options that greatly facilitate the life of the owner of the car, and at times increase the degree of his comfort during the operation of the vehicle. Some of the notable features of this security system include:

  1. Autostart. Starts the engine at a certain time (the setting can be made in three directions: depending on the temperature regime, the standby timer, the alarm time)
  2. Anti-robbery mode. It works when, after opening the driver's door, confirmation of the owner's indication code is not received, after a specified number of meters, the system blocks the engine.
  3. Immobilizer mode. Relevant for those who forget to step by step press the buttons on the key fob, it is activated after 30 seconds of no action on the part of the driver (blocks the engine half a minute after the ignition is turned off).
  4. Gsm module starline. Allows you to control the alarm from your mobile device, as well as receive messages about the system status on it.
  5. Indication . The alarm key fob can replace a clock, an alarm clock, and a timer, it will also inform you about the engine's operating time (a motorist may also need such information).

These are not all the features of this model, the table shows only the most popular of them.

Bribes and energy efficiency. Situations when the key fob does not respond to the commands of its owner are most often associated with the wear of its batteries; in the Star Line A9 remote control, batteries last at least 2 months (usually up to six months).

Installation without problems

Car alarms of this brand and model are also good in that they can be installed independently. This process can be described as complex and simple at the same time. The difficulty lies in the fact that it involves a large amount of work that must be performed in accordance with a strict algorithm of actions, including:

  • location and fixation of system elements(recommendations: it is desirable to fix the central unit under the dashboard, the transceiver module on the windshield, the shock sensor anywhere in the cabin, the LED indicator near the instruments, the temperature remote sensor on the motor housing, the siren in the engine compartment with the horn down away from the highly heated parts of the internal combustion engine);
  • wiring diagrams(laying wires, installing electrical wiring connections, connecting the circuit responsible for the operation of sound and lighting equipment, systems with auto start, door activator, locking system, engine blocking, engine operation control according to one of the options: tachometer, on-board network voltage, generator).

The ease of installation of starline a9 lies in the fact that the instruction manual included with each product of this type sold gives a clear detailed idea of everything related to its installation. In it you can also find a description of the reasons that can lead to incorrect unstable operation of the installed security system (errors made during the installation process).

Effortless setup

Without exception, all owners of cars on which an alarm system of this model is installed are interested in two important questions: how to bind the key fob to the system and how to set the necessary parameters for each of the modes offered by the manufacturer. To help the motorist, detailed instructions regarding points of interest to him:

  1. Keychain binding. We act step by step:
    • we start the car;
    • press the "Valet" button(hold it until 4 beeps appear);
    • simultaneously press buttons 1 and 2, release after 1 beep (for programming a key fob with an LCD display - the main remote control);
    • simultaneously press buttons 3 and 4(relevant for recording additional key fobs).
  2. Parameter programming. We follow the following algorithm of actions:
    • press the service button 6 times with the ignition on(wait for system response: 6 LED flashes + 6 beeps);
    • press the "Valet" button several times(before reaching a certain function);
    • choose the desired value, confirm the action either by short or long pressing on buttons 1 and 2 (half a second or 30 seconds);
    • back to "start" by pressing the service button;
    • repeat steps for all functions who need special settings other than factory settings;
    • exit programming mode(turn off and on the ignition again or wait for the automatic shutdown, accompanied by 5 flashes of the parking lights).

Convenient management

In order to competently manage a car security system called Starline a9, you do not need to have a special education. The LCD keychain is a kind of picture book, you just need to choose the right pattern. Another thing is an additional control panel (the keypad can be puzzling). However, the operating instructions and a quick start guide included in the alarm kit will simplify the task for the motorist. These carriers of the most important information will help to find answers to all questions. There is everything here: connection diagrams, installation maps, ways to bind and configure the control panel (key fob), methods for programming options and parameters, and even a list of possible malfunctions and troubleshooting techniques.

Starline A9 has enough advantages. Why not take advantage of them!

Every year, more and more new car alarm models appear on the market, radically different from previous models in terms of internal functionality. The StarLine A9 product, which has new software settings and additional options, was no exception.

Equipment

ATTENTION! Found a completely simple way to reduce fuel consumption! Don't believe? An auto mechanic with 15 years of experience also did not believe until he tried it. And now he saves 35,000 rubles a year on gasoline!

The company has gained confidence by producing the most complete sets of equipment and guaranteeing easy and simple installation. In particular, the StarLine A9 alarm package includes:

  • 1 remote control with LCD display;
  • 1 additional remote control key fob;
  • processing unit;
  • module with antenna;
  • various sensors for installation (engine temperature, hood and others);
  • user manual and warranty card.

Remarkably, the additional car remote control key fob comes without feedback. Most often, its use is resorted to in case of loss of the head unit. It has only 4 buttons that serve to open and close the doors and start the engine.

According to experts, StarLine offers its customers maximum car protection with a set of additional functions (timer, alarm clock, auto start, panic modes, etc.) at affordable prices.

Three button control

The key fob has a display on which you can easily see all the characters even in bright sunlight or in complete darkness. When you press a certain button, you can turn on the backlight of the screen for easy viewing.

The operating instructions for the StarLine A9 alarm are simple, since programming consists only in setting up three buttons located on the upper surface. All of them have different functional significance both separately and in a certain combination. The first button closest to the antenna allows you to program the following functions:

  • access to programming of all basic commands;
  • start and stop the engine (remotely);
  • arming the car with the engine running.

The second button, located in the middle, allows you to program the current position of the cursor on the key fob and the command to open the trunk.
The third button, the farthest from the antenna, has four commands, and they mainly have additional service functions. Their description is as follows:

  • cursor control on the key fob;
  • interruption of sound alert signals;
  • changing modes in the alarm clock and timer, setting the clock and power saving mode;
  • button programming.

It is not difficult to understand the control of the key fob, the main thing is to initially set the optimal values \u200b\u200bfor the owner when buying and change them only in certain situations. For example, a car warm-up timer for summer time is absolutely not needed, but in winter it is an urgent need.

Button combinations

In addition to the fact that each button is programmed separately and sets a specific function, you can configure the key fob with a combination of keys. There are many interesting modes in the StarLine TWAGE A9 alarm, the instructions for using which, included in the kit, provide complete information about programming.

The combination of buttons 1 and 2 allows you to set up panic modes, as well as search for a car. The essence of the panic mode is the controlled triggering of the alarm.

For example, this mode can be useful in a situation where the owner has found suspicious individuals near his car. By pressing the button, a sound siren is activated, scaring away ill-wishers. This is one of the simplest programmable panic modes, and there are up to three of them in the StarLine TWAGE A9 key fob.

The combination of buttons 1 and 3 has a less simple meaning: it allows you to customize the backlight of the key fob. The 2 and 3 key combination can be used to set the timer on the communicator as needed.

Advantages and advantages of the model

Each new alarm model that appears on the market must surprise buyers and have new features, otherwise there will be no interest in buying it. So, the StarLine A9 alarm system has the main advantage - intelligent auto-start of the engine. And also, the following advantages can be attributed to the number of important advantages of this model:

  • many sensors (doors, hood, impact and other elements);
  • communication with the machine within a radius of up to 600 meters due to 128 radio channels;
  • the ability to start the engine from a mobile phone (with appropriate settings from specialists).

An AAA battery is inserted into the StarLine A9 car alarm. The validity period directly depends on the frequency of use and many other factors, but on average - from 3 to 6 months.
The equipment has a dynamic control code, that is, protection against selection and interception. Thanks to these parameters, vehicle safety goes to a whole new level.

The StarLine Twage system can be installed on vehicles with a 12V battery voltage and a negative pole on the body.

Place the central unit in the cabin in a hidden place, preferably under the dashboard - in this case, the length of the connecting wires will be minimal. To prevent moisture from entering the unit, it is recommended to install it in such a way as to prevent water drops from dripping along the wires into the case. Fasten the unit to a flat surface with self-tapping screws or double-sided tape so that it does not move due to vibrations.

Mount the transceiver module with the antenna on the windshield of the car so that there is at least 5 cm from the antenna to the metal parts of the body. In this case, the maximum range of the key fobs is ensured. Also, during installation, it should be taken into account that the interior temperature meter is located in this module, so you need to place the module as far as possible from heat sources and avoid exposure to sunlight. Otherwise, the temperature readings may differ from the actual interior temperature.

Mount the remote engine temperature sensor on the engine housing under one of the M6 bolts on the engine, ensuring good contact with the engine housing. The position of the sensor will determine the correctness of the determination of the engine temperature.

Rigidly fasten the shock sensor in the car interior, providing access to its adjustments.

Fix the LED indicator in a visible place on the dashboard.

Install the Valet service button and the anti-robbery mode activation button in hidden but user-accessible places.

When installing pushbutton switches under the hood and in the trunk, check that they work correctly. With the hood or trunk closed, the gap between the contacts in the switch must be at least 3 mm. Incorrect installation of pushbuttons is often the cause of false alarms.

Lay wires as far as possible from sources of electrical noise - ignition coils, high-voltage wires, etc. Pay attention to the fact that the wires do not come into contact with moving parts of the vehicle structure - pedals, steering rods, etc.

Installation of alarm wiring connections must be carried out with the car battery disconnected.

Attention! If the vehicle is equipped with an airbag or has a coded receiver, refer to the vehicle or receiver's instruction manual when turning off the power.

All permanent connections should be soldered and well insulated.

Connect the central unit and other signaling components to the cable connectors only after the installation is completed. Install the alarm in accordance with the wiring diagram.

Selecting a method for controlling the operation of the engine (connecting a gray-black wire
alarm system StarLine A9)

Control of engine operation by tachometer

The gray-black wire is connected to the tachometer. Engine start diagnostics is carried out by changing the frequency of the tachometer signal. The correct connection of the black-gray wire to the tachometer can be judged by the duration of the starter operation after the starter is turned off during engine start and by receiving confirmation of the start on the alarm key fob.

When the black/gray wire is correctly connected, the starter should turn off at the same time as the engine starts, regardless of the programmed starter crank duration.

Engine control by generator

The grey/black wire connects to the alternator output, which is connected to the lamp on the dashboard. A successful engine start will be monitored by the presence of +12V positive voltage at the generator output while the engine is running. When the black/gray wire is correctly connected, the starter should turn off at the same time as the engine starts, regardless of the programmed starter crank duration.

Attention! When connecting a gray-black wire to the generator output, use a 510 kOhm ... 680 kOhm damping resistor.

Control of the engine operation by the voltage of the on-board network

If it is difficult to detect the tachometer or generator circuits, it is allowed to use the engine start control mode by the voltage of the on-board network. In this case, the grey-black wire is not connected and must be insulated. Start confirmation will occur automatically after the engine starts. The disadvantage of this method of control is the fixed time of the starter. For proper operation of the starter without twisting, you will need to select the required duration by programming function No. 3 to 800, 1200, 1800 or 3000 ms.

Connecting the built-in engine blocking circuit

Break the chain between the ignition switch and the starter. Connect the black and white wire of the 6-pin connector on the ignition switch side and the black-yellow wire of the 6-pin connector on the starter side to the open circuit. The maximum current of the built-in blocking relay is 40A.

Connecting an external engine blocking circuit using conventional relays

Break one of the regular engine start circuits and connect an additional relay to the circuit break. The type of contacts of the interlock relay NO (normally open) or NC (normally closed) is programmable (function 15). Initially, the NC type of relay contacts is programmed at the factory. An example of a connection diagram for one of the circuits is shown in the figure.

Connecting an external engine blocking circuit using the StarLine universal wireless blocking kit

This method of blocking the engine significantly increases the anti-theft properties of the alarm. To control the module included in the universal StarLine wireless blocking kit, use the black and white alarm wire, having previously programmed it for the normally open (NO) type of contacts. Possible engine blocking schemes are given in the installation instructions for the StarLine universal wireless blocking kit.

Connection to trunk release solenoid

The alarm has an output for remote unlocking of the trunk (yellow-black wire). The maximum output load is 300mA, an additional relay must be used when connecting. An example of a connection diagram is shown in the figure.

Connection to interior lighting

Additional alarm channel 2 can be used to connect to the low beam headlights and implement the "light path" function (yellow-red wire). The maximum output load is 300 mA, an additional relay must be used when connecting. An example of a connection diagram is shown in the figure.

Connecting the orange-purple wire on vehicles with manual and automatic transmission

On manual transmission vehicles, connect this wire to the parking brake push button switch, which closes to the housing when the brake is applied.

On vehicles with automatic transmission, connect this wire to a brake pedal switch that closes to +12V when the brake pedal is depressed.

The alarm has an output that can be used to connect to the interior lighting and implement the "polite interior lighting" function (blue wire). The maximum output load is 300mA, an additional relay must be used when connecting. An example of a connection diagram is shown in the figure.

Connecting to low beam headlights

Connection to the central locking system

The StarLine Twage alarm has built-in central lock control relays. The relay contacts are routed to a 6-pin connector. Load capacity of built-in relays 15A. The duration of the control pulses is programmable (function 9).

I want to tell you a story about replacing the STARLINE car alarm key fob.
In short - fits, works, I recommend!

Recently, the button on the main key fob of the alarm system began to junk on me, it was pressed through and worked every other time. It was decided to disassemble and see what happened there.
An autopsy showed that due to the curved design of the buttons and the frequent use of the same button, its legs could not withstand the strain and decided to break off the board.
The button was first soldered at home, it lasted for a week. Then it was soldered at a soldering station with a special, harder tin, which also did not last long, fell off after three weeks.

this is how it turned out in the end

This button is just tied to turning the guard on / off, so it is very necessary. Of course, there is a second, programmable button, with which you can also arm, but this is inconvenient.
Therefore, it was decided to purchase a second keychain.
My alarm system is quite old and the original key fobs are almost impossible to find, and what can be found is not the fact that it will turn out to be the original. + exorbitant price tag.
A cursory search showed that there are key fobs on Ali, but under different veiled names, this made the search very difficult. For example, this seller called it TAMARACK, another had TWAGE, everything that is searched for by the word STARLINE is with a horse price tag.

I was also upset by the fact that there are no key fobs specifically for STARLINE A8, only for A9. Officially, the STARLINE SC reports that the key fobs are not compatible, but at the same time, on the profile forum, people write that they are partially compatible and there may be problems with writing the key fob to the signaling memory, and some functions may not work.
Deeper googling led to the conclusion that all the same key fobs are compatible and the main functions work.

For A9, the choice is much more diverse (against zero for A8). I came across this lot, the price tag was one of the lowest. Of course, I was embarrassed by the low rating of the seller and the modest assortment in the store, but I made the final decision after reading one of the comments that one buyer successfully flashed the key fob on the A8. Basically, all the other reviews are good, it was decided to buy.

Ordered, paid, everything is ok. The seller sent it about the 3rd or 4th day, I don’t remember exactly.
track with tracking. Delivery by today's standards is not fast - exactly a month.

C grade packaging, yellow package, the keychain itself is in a pimply package, however, it is unreliable. On the way, all the pimples were popped by the postal employees while they were throwing my parcel. Therefore, it was worth packing better, they could break the screen.

The seller even put such a postcard, signed it with his own hand. Again 5 stars asks.

It looks very similar to the original, although I also can’t know if I have the original, because. I received the signaling along with the car and I don’t know anything about her biography.
The differences can be reduced to the fact that after all, my keychain is from A8, and this one is from A9.
The case is absolutely the same, the hole for the buttons is quite a bit deeper and the buttons themselves are made of a different material, they stick out of the case a little more.
The icons on the screen are a little brighter on the new one, perhaps on the old one they have faded from time to time.
Illumination of the same color. The received key fob seems to have a slightly worse screen in quality, if you look from above, the icons fade, the old one also had this, but not so pronounced.
In general, I did not find more visual differences.

External comparison

There is even a StarLine holographic sticker :)

The keychain was stitched with a bang, it works like a native. Programmatically, the difference between the A9 and A8 key fob lies only in the fact that the cursor of the programmable button 2 jumps to the default position over time, this was not the case with the old one.

I stitched according to this instruction:
In total, 4 key fobs can be stored in the alarm memory. Key fob codes are recorded when the security mode is off in the following order:
1. Turn on the ignition.
2. Press and hold the Valet service button until 4 siren beeps appear.
3. To record the main key fob with the display, press buttons 1 and 2 of the key fob simultaneously. To record an additional key fob without a display, press buttons 3 and 4 of the key fob simultaneously. Successful writing of the first key fob to the system memory will be confirmed by 1 siren signal.
4. Repeat step 3 for all writable key fobs. The interval between the recording of each key fob should not exceed 5 seconds, otherwise the alarm will automatically exit the key fob recording mode. Successful recording of each key fob is confirmed by the corresponding number of siren signals.
5. Turn off the ignition. In confirmation of the exit from the keyfob recording mode, 5 flashes of dimensions will follow.

When I was flashing a new keychain, I missed a very important moment, the button on the old one is broken and it will not work to flash it. Thus, if something went wrong, I would be left without signaling for a while, but everything went like clockwork, the new key fob flashed without problems. Now it remains to solder the old one again and flash it, it will be a spare.

I checked the main functions, they work exactly:
- disarming / arming, with and without sound.
- shock sensor alarm 1 and 2 levels with feedback
- auto start and stop the engine.
- requesting information about the state of the car (temperature, is the engine running, are the doors closed, handbrake position, ignition)
- opening the trunk on the second channel.
I don’t need other functions, so I didn’t check.

For those who are interested, for comparison, a photo of the insides, an old keychain on top, and a monitored subject under it.

It can be seen with the naked eye that in the A8 version the screen is on a cable, in A9 it is soldered on legs

I didn’t separate the boards, I’m reluctant to gut a new key fob, but visually there are differences in circuitry

and again these buttons, which, I hope, will last a long time this time. (photo after the 3rd soldering of the old key fob)

By the time the review was published, the old key fob was soldered, the button worked again. Both key fobs were successfully registered in the signaling memory. Unfortunately, they do not work in pairs, that is, when the alarm is triggered, the key fob from which they were armed will beep, the second will be silent. The security status does not change dynamically on both key fobs, only on the one from which you arm / disarm.
In general, they work on the principle - whoever is last, that is dad.

The goods were bought for money and on their own initiative. If someone decides to buy a keychain from this seller, write in the comments, I will try to negotiate a discount for Muscovites.

I bow out for this, thanks for watching!
