Dear friends, I present to your attention an additional series of photographs of the wooden torpedo in my 99. I tried to photograph everything in more detail in order to convey as much as possible the real sensations of being inside the car. In the first photo, the “jambs” under the buttons for the foglights, heated rear window and emergency lights are clearly visible.

The fact is that when I started making a torpedo, I initially sawed holes for installing large buttons from a Kamaz truck or from a bus, I don’t remember exactly from what. But we couldn’t find any sockets to connect the wiring to these buttons. Therefore, at the last moment it was decided to leave the standard buttons. I had to install wooden patches, which are clearly visible in the photo. The TV is mounted on the inside of the torpedo. Can't be removed from the outside. The rear view camera is now turned on. But you can switch the video input to the radio. Then you can watch cartoons. The switch button is located on the tunnel lining. The iron panel under the TV was made by electrochemical engraving. I read this method on the Internet. But we had to experiment for a very long time on various pieces of hardware before we managed to develop the optimal technology suitable for home use.

I practically never use the radio for its intended purpose. Instead of music I listen to the engine. And the radio turned out to have a very useful function - a self-adjusting clock. Close-up of the glove compartment lid with a squirrel.

The steering wheel is converted from some kind of Ketai or Turkish steering wheel, bought at the car market for 500 rubles. This is a temporary measure, because at the time of photographing I was working on putting the gearbox linkage and linkage in order. I'm tired of the disgusting creaking-crunching noise made by the rocker mechanism every time I change gears. At the time of writing this material, this work has been successfully completed.

The instrument panel is one of the most visible parts of any car's interior. And the VAZ “ninety-nine” is no exception.
