When the middle is really golden: we choose the Skoda Fabia II with mileage. All about the third generation of Skoda Fabia engines The Skoda Fabia engine range includes several modifications

The Škoda Fabia is a miniature Czech car that began production in 1999. The Fabia was based on the 4th generation, its development in the concern was approached very carefully, as a result of which it became one of the models that brought worldwide fame to the Czech company.

Despite the seemingly huge choice of engines on the first generation Fabia, there are not so many truly worthy and dynamic engines. The smallest 1.0 MPI ( / AQV / ATY ) with 50 hp, which the Fabia Junior was equipped with, is very weak even for a small car mass. The six- (AWY / BMD) and twelve-valve ( / ) 1.2 HTP three-cylinder engines are already more dynamic, but often have too high mileage figures. And when they are overloaded, the valves can burn out, the timing chain breaks and the catalyst fails, so you should be more careful when choosing them. Despite the good performance of two-liter AZL / BBX / ATF gasoline engines, they are not so fast on the road, and they can also upset you with significant fuel and engine oil consumption. The most advantageous against the background of the rest look strong "middle peasants" 1.4 ( / APE / AUA), which is an excellent compromise between performance, fuel consumption and reliability.

Among diesel engines, both small three-cylinder 1.4 TDI (/ BNM / BNV) with power from 68 to 79 hp and “indestructible” 1.9 SDI (ASY) with 63 hp were popular, of course, there were units with unit injectors 1.9 TDI (ATD / AXR).

The second generation was introduced in 2007, it was based on the PQ24 platform and became one of the largest in its class in terms of dimensions. The Fabia 5J received both upgraded engines from the previous model and some of the newer ones. It is quite easy to navigate the choice: for those who choose a quiet ride and economical fuel consumption, 1.2i engines with 6 () and 12 () valves, or various modifications of EA111 engines with a volume of 1.4 liters were offered. After restyling in 2010, 1.2 TSI () and 1.4 TSI (CAV) with direct fuel injection appeared in the line, but problems with the timing chain tensioner became their minus. The Fabia 1.6 engine, with a power of 105 hp, practically did not cause any complaints.

Among the diesel engines there was also plenty to choose from, their volume started from 1.4 TDI and ended with the classic 1.9 TDI with unit injectors. However, the general trend has been to replace pump injectors with a more modern CommonRail system, therefore, after restyling in 2010, 1.6 TDI CR (), which represented the golden mean in terms of power and economy, became one of the most common.

The popularity of the Fabia range demonstrates the successful combination of performance and durability of the engines used. Volkswagen engines, which have proven themselves in other models, did not disappoint in this situation. Due to the fact that Skoda is a more budget brand of the VW concern, the cost of spare parts for it is at an acceptable level. However, you can get even greater benefits by visiting our Skoda car analysis in Moscow. We offer a wide range of contract engines and other spare parts for Fabia and other models of the company. We give a guarantee for all spare parts and offer low prices, as well as the possibility of delivery within the Russian Federation.

At the 58th Frankfurt Motor Show in 1999, a presentation of a small-class car of the Czech production Skoda Fabia (Mk1) took place. The new model became the heir to the popular and largely successful Skoda Felicia, and marked the beginning of a new era in the development of the Czech automotive industry. The compactness and maneuverability of the novelty was appreciated by many European drivers, and thanks to its attractive appearance, the Fabia became one of the most popular category B cars in the early 2000s.

In 2007, the manufacturer introduced the second generation (Mk2) hatchback, and after another seven years, the Czechs announced the release of the third generation - Mk3. The popularity of the model this year has reached unprecedented heights. Part of the Fabia's success can be attributed to the fact that its main mechanical components were designed and manufactured by Volkswagen. Components and maintenance of the car cost significantly less in comparison with other “children” of the Volkswagen Group. The reliability and quality of the German automotive industry is practically beyond doubt. But, nevertheless, it is important for the future owner to know the actual resource of the Skoda Fabia 1.2, 1.4 engine.

Specifications of motors

The line of power units of the car is quite diverse, but engines with a working volume of 1.2 and 1.4 liters have received the greatest use. Many experienced Skoda Fabia owners agree that the 1.4-liter MPI OHV engine is the most successful development of the Volkswagen concern. The motor is characterized by high dynamics, low fuel consumption, structural simplicity and long service life. Skoda Fabia 1.4 is a real workhorse that can tirelessly plow our roads for more than 300 thousand kilometers.

Engine Specifications:

  • Power - 68, 86 and 101 horsepower;
  • Number of valves - 16;
  • Torque - 132 Nm;
  • Fuel consumption in the suburban / urban cycle - 5 / 7.5 liters.

Popularity did not pass by and modification with a 1.2-liter in-line three-cylinder engine. It is made of split cylinder blocks with cast iron liners. Thanks to this arrangement, it was possible to significantly reduce the weight of the car. Due to the cooling jackets located across the channels, long-term operation of the power plant at high speeds without overheating is possible. Resourcefulness and reliability are what are most appreciated in the 1.2-liter version. We can say that these are the main advantages of a small engine compared to analogues.

How long do Skoda Fabia engines run?

Both engines have already been tested by time, and have also been upgraded with turbocharging and direct injection. Many novice drivers often wonder: “what is the resource of the 1.4 86 hp engine. Skoda Fabia? Such a power unit, ideally, is able to “pass” 400 thousand kilometers before the first major overhaul. It is quite high-torque, complies with Euro-5 emissions toxicity standards. A belt acts as a timing drive, the resource of which is about 90,000 km. In some cases, premature failure of the element is possible - it all depends on the driving style and operating conditions. The manufacturer recommends pouring only AI-95, but AI-92 is acceptable.

The resource of the Skoda Fabia 1.2 engine is somewhat larger than the previous modification. Cars that have covered 500 thousand km with this engine under the hood are not uncommon today, but a real example of engineering. Compared to the 1.4-liter version, a chain is installed here instead of a belt, which gives the engine endurance. The chain works flawlessly for the first 150,000 km. Due to the double-row sprockets on the crankshaft and camshaft, tooth wear is noticeably reduced, which significantly extends the service life of important structural elements.

The resource of power units according to the reviews of the owners

With careful and timely maintenance of the car, breakdowns practically do not occur. It is also recommended by the manufacturer to undergo an inspection every 15 thousand kilometers and to change the oil at the same time. Castrol and Shell Helix Ultra motor oils with a viscosity of 5W30 are best suited. Another indisputable advantage of Skoda Fabia engines is the presence of hydraulic tensioners with which it is possible to tension the chain if it is loosened. As for the official resource of power units, some dealers claim 300 thousand km before the first overhaul. What is this indicator really? Suggest reviews of the owners.

Motor 1.2

  1. Vadim, Kazan. I bought this car in 2013, during all this time I have already clocked 90,000 km. I’ll tell you right away what problems arose during the operation of the machine. The control unit of the stove burned out after 50 thousand kilometers, after another ten thousand, the exhaust valve burned out. AI-95 "Rostneft" was refueling, at the service station they said that the breakdown might have happened due to poor quality gasoline. The chain is still in good condition, the engine as a whole runs stably, there is no overheating at high speeds.
  2. Sergey. Ufa. Great car, I have another 1 generation car in 2002. Suitable for both girls and boys. Today, car mileage is 300 thousand km. The motor is excellent, stocks are not noticed. There are some problems with, often fails and increased consumption begins. And so, in general, this is a fairly economical and reliable hatchback. Many complain that the 1.2-liter engine is too weak. I would not say so - dynamics and speed are enough. Consumables are inexpensive, suitable from other representatives of VAG.
  3. Maxim, Cheboksary. I have been driving a Skoda Fabia Mk2 since 2008. Lightweight, agile and unpretentious car. For all the time I owned the car, I only changed the chain, since the mileage is already more than 200 thousand kilometers, bushings and stabilizer struts. These parts are very cheap, of course, it is necessary to change the engine oil on time. Generally speaking, there are no problems with the car at all. The engine runs like clockwork, the main thing is to service it on time and with high quality.
  4. Vladimir, Moscow. Great option for daily travel. Been driving Fabia since 2010. No problems with chassis, electronics, engine. Plus, a galvanized body and high-quality painting. Noise isolation can be improved, but all this is individual. Over 90 thousand kilometers, only the ignition coil broke down, and some other minor breakdowns. The chain in our conditions serves 100,000 km, sometimes it slips, but very rarely. Most often, it gives signals that it has exhausted its resource - the characteristic beating sounds during the engine start to cold.

The 2012 Skoda Fabia is a more dynamic design, interior innovations and the new Skoda Fabia, thanks to which this small but strong enough car shows an excellent ride and performance.

The Skoda Fabia engine range includes several modifications:

  • for Skoda Fabia Classic - 1.2 liter engines. at 70 hp and 1.4 l. 86 hp Both engines are equipped with a five-speed manual transmission
  • for Skoda Fabia Ambient - engines 1.2 l / 70 hp, 1.4 l / 86 hp, 1.6 l. / 105 hp, 1.6 l/105 hp engines 1.2 and 1.4 are equipped with manual transmission, but Skoda Fabia 1.6 engine- both mechanical and automatic
  • Skoda Fabia Sport will only be equipped with Skoda Fabia 1.4 engine l power. 86 and 5-speed manual transmission
  • Skoda Fabia Elegance is equipped with two engines - both with a volume of 1.6 liters and a power of 105 hp, only one of them is equipped with a five-speed and the second with a six-speed automatic

Skoda Fabia petrol engines have been tested by time, and are now even more modernized thanks to the engine being equipped with a system. All Skoda Fabia petrol engines, including Skoda Fabia 1.4 engine comply with Euro-5 emission toxicity standards, save fuel and reduce the amount of carbon dioxide vapor emitted into the air. All engines - both diesel and gasoline - are additionally equipped with a system that allows you to capture fuel vapors, as well as catalytic converters, which are located in the exhaust system.

The Skoda Fabia of 2012 is an updated car that has undergone changes not only in external characteristics, but also in technical indicators. Both mechanical and automatic in Skoda Fabia are characterized by quick and easy gear changes, and inside the cabin there is practically no noise and vibration of a running engine . The updated Skoda Fabia 1.6 engine allows you to quickly accelerate, however, as the speed increases, the engine noise also increases.

The safety of the car is enhanced by the fact that the car has a dual-circuit service brake system with hydraulic drive and a vacuum booster. The front-wheel drive of the Skoda Fabia improves the car's handling characteristics, especially on difficult turns and inconvenient roads. By the way, the Skoda car is delivered to Russia only in modifications with a gasoline engine.

According to the prescription of the operating rules, a technical inspection of the Skoda Fabia should be carried out approximately every 13,000-15,000 km of run. These cars are distinguished by high build quality and overall reliability, and therefore, subject to careful operation Skoda Fabia engine repair- a fairly rare occurrence. The Skoda Fabia is a great car option for driving in the city due to its compactness and efficiency. However, the developers do not stop there and promise to release a new generation of Skoda Fabia with a more powerful gasoline or diesel engine or a hybrid power unit by the middle of next year. As regards filling lubricants and oils, Skoda Fabia engine oil you need to choose from all-season, which can be operated at any time of the year, and the oil must be of high quality.

The dismissive attitude towards compact hatchbacks in class B in Russia has only one exception. Skoda Fabia beat all records of popularity, was coveted and popular. Only the release of the Solaris and Sandero hatchbacks and the localization of our platform Rapid with the change of generations of the model put an end to this success story.

We fell in love with the car for practicality, reckless handling and for the low cost of operation. However, there were enough complaints about reliability. In Europe, in particular, the car received surprisingly low positions in reliability ratings. However, this did not prevent success, because the car turned out to be very successful - Simply Clever as it is. Here and excellent ergonomics of a surprisingly large cabin, and a good amount of trunk. The car was also driving excellently - the handling turned out to be really exemplary, as, indeed, the "relative" VW Polo, with which she shared the platform.

The set of power units corresponded to exacting European tastes: engines from atmospheric 1.2 to 1.4 with dual supercharging with a capacity of 180 hp. with., in addition, options were offered with DSG boxes and with a conventional six-speed automatic.

A little bit of history

They announced a new model on the “all-Volkswagen” platform PQ 24 in March 2007 at the Geneva Motor Show. Contrary to popular belief, at first it was considered only a development of the Roomster that came out a little earlier, and did not make much of a splash, because the design of the front and interior is completely the same. Buyers “tested” the car a little later.

In Russia, the attitude towards Fabia was not bad from the very beginning - the company's pricing policy in those years was still very interesting. As a result, "Audi for the poor" were in much higher demand than the "original" VW Polo, the price of which came close to the prices of the Octavia Tour of those times. The choice of engines was initially limited to three-cylinder 1.2 and four-cylinder 1.4 and 1.6 engines. And of the diesel engines, only 1.4TDI and 1.9TDI were offered with unit injectors.

But the success of the sports program has created a demand for "charged" versions of the car, which appeared after restyling in 2010. The cars were distinguished not only by the correction of minor flaws, but also by a significantly expanded range of engines, it included the 1.2TSI and 1.4TSI engines known for a long time from other models of the concern. The range of diesels was supplemented with a compact and powerful 1.6 TDI, and the 1.4 diesel was replaced with a more powerful three-cylinder 1.2 engine, all with a CommonRail injection system and particulate filters. However, we did not officially sell diesel cars.

Russian sales accounted for a small share of the world's 1.2 million cars sold, but nevertheless the car was in great demand. And for our country, the company was preparing a replacement in the face of the Skoda Rapid model, which, due to deeper localization, turned out to be cheaper, and already plays in the B ++ class - market leaders. By the way, the Rapid platform is still the same as that of the Fabia Mk 2, only after the last restyling did the EA 211 power units from the MQB platform appear.

The steering is ideal if there is a non-powered version, but such cars are almost never found. Most cars have EGUR - this is a combination of a conventional hydraulic rack and an electric pump. The sealing material fails and not quite successful oil, after five or six years and a run of 90-100 thousand kilometers, it becomes very dirty, and the pump begins to howl. According to the regulations, replacement is not allowed, but it is better to do it immediately, since there is oil on sale, but any “Pentosin-compatible” liquid will do. When replacing by displacement, only a liter is required, and with a good probability the electric pump will live for a long time and further. If you persistently listen to the howl, then the pump will periodically turn off and eventually die completely. Judging by practice, it cannot be restored - it will take at least 25 thousand rubles to replace it. In addition, “for the company”, most likely, the rail will also fail - pump wear products will fill up in the seals.

The electric booster appeared on restyled cars, but it is relatively rare and has not been noticed in any special troubles. Probably, attention should be paid to the wiring, as on other similar devices.

Transmission

Most of the Fabia with manual transmissions and in terms of reliability, this is very good. After all, the mechanics on them are very good, except that with 1.2 TSI and 1.6 engines, the boxes reach their strength threshold. But with 1.4 there are no problems.

Motors 1.4 have the best possible piston group for Fabia. 1.6 shorter T-shaped pistons account for all the problems familiar to Polo Seadan owners with CFNA series engines - small scuffing of cylinders and pistons, rapid valve wear, and even the chain either makes noise or jumps, especially on versions with the old front engine cover and the old type of chain and tensioners.

The main troubles of motors are a thermostat, poor quality gaskets and seals, very slow warm-up and difficulties with oil selection. For short runs, oils with a viscosity of SAE 30 are highly recommended, but if the car is in traffic jams a lot, then it is better to pour SAE 40 or even SAE 50 - very narrow crankshaft journals and low oil operating pressure make it susceptible to viscosity loss. In addition, the radiators are rather weak, easily contaminated.

Another regulation for replacing spark plugs provokes the failure of individual ignition coils, here it is a consumable. The engine management system for 1.4 Magneti Marelli 4HV can be a bit of a hassle, there are difficulties with diagnostics. Motors are very sensitive to throttle contamination and fuel pump pressure - a power system without a return line is used. The gas pump, by the way, is frankly weak, it is often changed to Bosch from VAZ models, and it seems that this is a successful replacement for the original.

Under the hood of the Škoda Fabia GreenLine UK-spec (5J) "2009–10

The design of three-cylinder engines 1.2, which are leading in terms of prevalence, is much less successful. The timing chain here is almost the same as on 1.6 engines, but it is more heavily loaded due to the presence of a balance shaft drive. Its resource is consistently less than 100 thousand kilometers, which usually becomes a very big surprise for owners. In addition, the motor is all-aluminum, with nickel-plated liners. It is precisely durable nikasil that is used here, and not alusil, like other manufacturers, but there are problems with it, especially if the piston rings are destroyed, which, unfortunately, happens.

However, in most cases, oil appetite is caused by the occurrence of rings and their strong wear. The choice of materials for the rings was not very successful for the designers, and the pistons are corny erased on the hard coating of the cylinder. For some reason, most owners of VW and Skoda cars believe that engine oil consumption is normal, car service employees agree with them. But if you stubbornly add oil, then it will be erased and nikasil, and then the crankshaft will “spin”, and the engine will go to the trash. Surprisingly, just in case, the manufacturer even produces repair dimensions for pistons, although few people undertake to sharpen nikasil, and the price of repair dimensions bites - during overhaul, sleeves from VAZ are more often installed.

The operating temperature of the 1.2 engine is also a bit high, but it warms up to it only in traffic jams - the thermostat also fails. Problems with the throttle are almost the same as on motors 1.4 and 1.6, but the motor control system here more easily tolerates light pollution. By the way, vibration on a three-cylinder engine is often not “doubling”, but signs of the end of the timing - due to shocks in it, it cuts off the key on the balance shaft. With oil, the features are the same as those of the older "brothers", and even the load on the liners is higher, in general, the quality of the oil and pressure must be monitored. At the slightest sign of a lack of pressure, measure and look for the cause.

3 / 3

Oil appetite on a 1.2 engine is weakly expressed, difficulties with liners are rare, but troubles are added associated with the pressurization system - a small resource of high-pressure fuel pumps, sensitivity to fuel quality, pollution of injectors, turbine breakdowns (especially on cars before 2013 release) and failures of the air intercooler system. But the traction is excellent, and the motor is very economical. The 1.4 engine has a much more complex boost system and is prone to piston burnout, but this is unlikely to stop someone who wants a Fabia RS.

What to take?

The simple design and rather high workmanship make the Skoda Fabia Mk 2 a very good choice as an everyday car. Quite pleasant on the go, it will not cause much trouble if the equipment is simple and the mileage is not cosmic. This is especially true for 1.4 engines, which can clearly be considered the best option.

In the photo: Škoda Fabia RS (5J) "2010–13

A more powerful 1.6 engine is a little more troublesome due to an unsuccessful timing unit with a chain, but with careful operation it will please both the second and third owners. But cars with very common 1.2 engines can cause a lot of trouble. Their power is enough for a leisurely ride, but the trouble is with the resource. And often you can’t get off with a cheap bulkhead, they are simply run down to such a state that it’s easier to buy a new one. With an oil appetite of half a liter per thousand kilometers, owners often miss the oil level - thanks to the small volume of the crankcase. A lot of drivers, instead of a full-fledged repair, change piston rings and sell cars, but such a repair will not last long if the nikasil already has risks and scuffs. And if you like just such an option, then be very vigilant.

If you have your eyes on fresh and expensive cars with a 1.2 TSI engine, for example, in a fashionable Monte Carlo package, then just remember that the turbo engine does not forgive maintenance errors, and the seven-speed DSG simply attracts problems, so try to find an instance with minimal mileage and a well-known "biography".

Minor electrical failures will annoy those who do not know how to deal with problems on their own, because in most cases the owners will be girls. But in fact, this is not scary, because large expenses can be easily avoided with a competent master. If you know about the features of the operation of the EGUR, the tendency to damage door wiring, the weakness of the fuel pump, thermostat and features of the motors, then the cost of operation will be low. And if you also carefully monitor the body and eliminate the centers of corrosion in time, not relying on stories about the mythical double galvanization, then the car will last a very long time.

Would you take a Skoda Fabia?

27.02.2017

Skoda Fabia, is a typical representative of the B-class small car family, an automaker from the Czech Republic. Among Skoda models, Fabia is positioned as a transitional model between the very small Citigo and the larger Rapid/Octavia. Fabia was created to compete with such cars as Fiat Albea, Renault Logan, Ford Fiesta, Hyundai Accent/Solaris/Getz, Seat Ibiza, Opel Corsa, Chevrolet Aveo, Mitsubishi Colt, Honda Fit, Toyota Yaris, Mazda 2, KIA Picanto/ Rio, advanced equipment Lada Granta/Kalina/Vesta. Skoda Fabia was created on the basis of the Volkswagen Polo, but was significantly improved, this also affected the engine, here it is similar, Polo: petrol 1.2 l., 1.4 l. and 1.6 liters., the advanced modification of the RS is equipped with 1.4 liters. turbocharged engine developing power up to 180. Diesel options from 1.2 liters. up to 1.9 l. Let's take a look at some of these engines, their specifications, engine oil usage, faults and troubleshooting, and more.

ENGINE VOLKSWAGEN-AUDI EA111 1.2 TSI / TFSI (2014 - N.V.)

The junior representative of the EA111 series is a modified 1.4 TSI, in which the cast iron cylinder block was replaced with an aluminum assembly with wet cast iron liners, the piston diameter was reduced from 76.5 mm to 71 mm, and the piston was lightened. To emphasize the bottoms, the block was covered with a single-shaft head with eight valves, the diameter of the intake / exhaust valves is 35.5 / 30 mm, there are hydraulic lifters, and direct fuel injection, there is no variable valve timing system. The timing drive uses a chain similar to the 1.4 TSI, in this case the chain often stretches and jumps. 1.2 TSI variants are equipped with IHI 1634 turbochargers with a maximum pressure of 0.6 bar. Such an engine is essentially a simplified version of the 1.4 TSI, which has a reduced liter power. The main purpose of creating this engine is an attempt to replace running engines with a volume of 1.6. l with eight valves. Over time, such an engine was gradually replaced by a modified 1.2 TSI EA211 series. The VW 1.2 TSI / TFSI engine has several modifications.

  1. CBZA, is a weak modification, whose power reaches 86 hp, was installed on the Audi A1, Volkswagen Golf 6.
  2. CBZB, 90 power variation for Volkswagen Polo.
  3. CBZC transmitting a variation with a power of 105 hp for the Audi A3, VW Golf 6 and some other cars.

Weaknesses of the engine, identical to those characteristic of the older variation of 1.4 TSI, possible jumping of the timing chain (later corrected), vibration at idle, demanding oil and fuel. The engine also requires a long warm-up at low temperatures. The engine has an average level of reliability, with standard operation and timely maintenance, the 1.2 TSI engine has a resource of about 250,000 km. The resource will be lower if the operating conditions become tougher.

POSSIBILITIES FOR TUNING

The engine is tuned using the conventional chip tuning method. Specialists offer their Stage 1 firmware for 86 hp engines. and 105 hp Having spent insignificant funds, you can reflash the engine to 130-145 hp. and improve vehicle dynamics. The option is good for such a working volume. In addition, it is possible to replace catalysts with sports options, install a cold intake. This is especially good for the city.

ENGINE VOLKSWAGEN-AUDI EA211 1.2 TSI / TFSI (2014 - N.V.)

Changes in the TSI series of engines also affected a small, 1.2 liter. representative of the EA111 series, the fresh 1.2 TSI EA211 engine has a different cylinder head, with 16 valves, rotated 180 degrees, an exhaust manifold made together with a cylinder head located at the back. The engine is installed at a reverse angle of 12 degrees. The model also has hydraulic lifters, a system responsible for direct fuel injection, added a phase shifter on the intake camshaft. The timing chain was removed and a belt was installed, whose service life is about 60-90 thousand km. Variations with a power of 86 and 105 hp. equipped with similar turbochargers (smaller than 1.4 TSI EA211) with an intercooler integrated into the intake manifold. Different firmware determined the different power of the models. In addition, the EA211 series engines have a new dual-circuit cooling system. That allows you to deal with the problem of prolonged warm-up of the motor. The VW 1.2 TSI / TFSI engine has various modifications.

  1. CJZA, a modification with a power of 105 hp and a boost pressure of 0.9 bar.
  2. CJZB, a modification with a power of 86 hp and a boost pressure of 0.7 bar.
  3. CJZC, a modification with a power of 90 hp, for Fabia 3 and Rapid.
  4. CJZD, modification with 110 hp, for Fabia 3 and Rapid.

Similar to the older 1.4-liter representative, the 1.2 TSI engine is brand new and has not yet undergone significant break-in. However, the problem of prolonged warm-up has already been eliminated, the circuit is missing, and therefore there are no problems with it.

ENGINE TUNING POSSIBILITIES VOLKSWAGEN-AUDI 1.2 TSI / TFSI

Initially, the presence of sports firmware for 1.2 TSI EA211 left much to be desired, it remained to wait for the situation to change. Initial Stage 1 variants under 1.2 TSI increase power to 120 hp. Over time, options have appeared that allow chip tuning up to 130-135 and even 140 hp. Installing a turbine for this engine will not work. When combined with Stage 1 and DSG, the 1.2 TSI will get plenty of power.
