Adjustment algorithm

We sequentially perform the following:

We close the right headlight with cardboard or other material that does not transmit light;
Turn the hydraulic corrector to the first position (І);
Open the hood, find the screws with which the adjustment takes place, turn them. At the same time, if the left headlight is regulated, then it will be correct if its light at the top reaches the line N, and below - P;
Adjusted one, the adjustment of the other begins, closing the previous one.

Even if the adjustment with your own hands went according to all the rules, but when the load of the VAZ changes, you need to change the angle of inclination of the light beam. For this, a hydraulic corrector was invented. Moreover, the corrector is designed non-separable, it is also not regulated.

Accordingly, in case of failure, the corrector is simply changed to a new one. And the most common reason that the hydraulic corrector fails is the “wedge” of the pistons or fluid leakage.

If the need arises, it is expedient to replace this corrector with a more modern and high-tech electrocorrector. The kit, which provides that an electric corrector will be installed on the car, consists of a headlight position regulator, the mechanism itself with rings - seals and wires.

Removal and replacement

Remove the negative terminal of the battery. By pressing the latch, turn the hydraulic corrector towards you, take it out. Having removed the sealing ring in the headlight housing, installing a new one in its place, we insert the electric corrector into it. In the same way, we take out the hydraulic corrector of the other headlight and replace it with an electric corrector.

Already in the cabin, we disconnect the switch to which the hydrocorrector is connected, we connect the electrocorrector with the help of wires.

Thus, the new corrector is installed and will be able to perform its duties on the VAZ 2110 more clearly. Almost everyone who changed the hydrocorrector to the electrocorrector is more satisfied with its work than the previous corrector, which behaves more “gentle”, often unpredictably.

Cut a small U-shaped profile on the lens.
Dismantle the reflector made of paper. To do this, you will need to unscrew the three bolts on the back.
There is a spring near the hydraulic corrector, it must be removed. Together with it, “roses” are dismantled - plastic clamps fixed on the reflector.
Snap the ball onto the edge of the reflector.
Snap the metal spool in to prevent the regulator from twisting.

If the hydraulic corrector is strongly tightened, this will lead to the fact that the limiter is simply deformed. In this case, a ball will come out of the plastic holder, and the entire optical system will fall down.

Features of removing the headlight

Be sure to take into account that if you twist the corrector, you will have to replace the steel part with a rubber gasket. The problem is that the steel element of the corrector breaks, deforms, which affects the work. This is not the best option, since when installing the rubber gasket it is difficult to understand when the headlights are in their extreme positions.

In order for the light not to disappear, you will need to re-twist the corrector. Therefore, when adjusting the VAZ-2110 headlights with your own hands, you will need to install an additional lock. A wire pin is ideal. It is placed in the petals of a plastic "rose". Be sure to be careful when disassembling the headlight. Before using for the first time, clean all surfaces of excess sealant. If you need to change the headlight

Before adjusting the headlights on the VAZ-2110, you need to make sure that they are in good condition. If the repair, which was described above, does not bring results, then you need to make a complete replacement of the headlight. To do this, perform the following manipulations:

Disconnect all electrical wiring from the lamp and remove the upper part of the radiator grille. To do this, it is necessary to unscrew all the bolts with a key to "10".
Disconnect the wires from the turn signals and remove the hydraulic corrector. To do this, press the latch and rotate the body of the device 90 degrees.
Unscrew the fixing screws of the optical element and slide the headlamp back.
