The “Japanese” is produced at the Nissan plant, built in St. Petersburg, the first Ixtrail in Russia rolled off the assembly line in November 2009, and the factory workers began production of the 3rd generation in December 2014.

Engines and transmission
The crossover's line of power units includes two gasoline internal combustion engines:
- QR25DE, 2.5 l, 171 l. With.;
- MR20DD, 2.0 l 144 l. With.

The Nissan X Trail CVT received seven virtual gears, and the driver now has the ability to manually brake with the engine.
X-Tronic works on the principle of a classic torque converter automatic transmission - when accelerating and switching to another, higher gear, it drops the speed slightly.
Trunk and interior
Compared to the previous generation T31, the Nissan X Trail T32 has increased in size, and the trunk has accordingly grown in size; its volume in the new model is 497 liters.
