Hi all. It is still far from replacing the timing belt, but I have been puzzled by replacing the alternator belt for a long time. For some reason, the old belt was marked with the engine, which was somewhat embarrassing. For replacement, a Dayco 6PK1020K strap was purchased. By the type of belt rivulets, this is a standard EPDM belt (ethylene propylene diene M-class rubber, triple ethylene-propylene synthetic rubber). The strap weighs 96 grams. Before changing the belt, make sure that the car is turned off and the key is not in the passenger compartment. These measures are necessary to prevent accidental activation of the START-STOP system. Replacement is not difficult. From standard tool you will need heads for 8 and 10, a T-30 bit, a suitable ratchet and extension cord, a flat screwdriver to remove caps and keys for 15 or 16, depending on the bolt that clamps the bottom tension roller. From non-standard - a tube, a key, or, as in my case, a home-made device for retracting the upper alternator belt tensioner. Remove the wheel and arch protection. Further on our way are two covers covering the alternator belt. The first is on two bolts by 10. The second is on two bolts by 10, a nut by 10 and a self-tapping screw by 8. It remains to remove and fix the upper tensioner with a suitable tool and the lower one with a suitable wrench. Old Gates belt with original number. I'm guessing native. It remains to throw on all the pulleys new belt and release both tensioners. It took about 30 minutes for everything, only the upper tensioner can cause difficulty due to the unsuccessful arrangement of the turnkey ear. For comparison, a super short video as it was and became. The sound of the engine has changed slightly for the better. From sad finds - torn rear silent block front lever. It seems to be a weak place, but it lasted quite a bit. On my former 607, I did not change the silents at all, although the mileage of the car at the time of sale was over 240 thousand km.
I would be glad to advice in the comments on which manufacturer to replace. Of the crutches from the French - the original silents are officially discontinued and are offered only assembled with a lever for about $ 100 without a ball. Also drew attention to the subframe silent block. It looks strange, it feels like the subframe on it has slid down. To change or not without a clue, if someone pays attention to their car, how these silents behave with hung wheels, I will be very grateful. That's all and thanks for reading. • Hi all. Hitch haunted since the purchase of the car. At the time of purchase, the car was a little over 4 years old, and in appearance it seemed that the hitch had already seen a lot. The towbar is installed by Thule 5466. The bumper does not interfere with the removal of the towbar, but the presence viewing hole highly desirable. To clean the towbar from the remnants of old paint, a GP0885-100 brush and a pair of cleaning wheels were bought. Everything on the usual angle grinder. For painting, I found a couple of spray cans started black paint and bought one new spray can and cold galvanizing composition. The latter are both produced by VIXEN. We clean to metal and degrease. I applied cold galvanizing according to the instructions on the can. I started with a hook, did the rest by analogy. I didn’t take a picture because in fact, the process is repeated for each element. As a result, it turned out like this: I also replaced the screws on the socket. Established were under the slotted screwdriver and, of course, sour to death. The nuts had to be cut to remove the socket. Screws replaced with new ones for the internal hexagon. So be careful and in the future, if necessary, the design will be disassembled without a hacksaw / grinder. The resulting appearance pleases, it’s a pity it doesn’t really affect the technical and operational characteristics))
Just in case, I will attach a manual for installing the towbar, in case it will be useful to someone - DOWNLOAD. Issue price: $15 Mileage: 109,000 km

  • April is scheduled scheduled maintenance ICE so it's time to buy consumables. For the 1.6 eHDi (DV6C) motor, the consumable numbers are as follows:
    - air filter 1444TV
    - oil filter 1109 AY
    - washer for the drain plug 0313 40
    - fuel filter 98 097 210 80
    - cabin filter 98 077 464 80 (replaced by 6447 XG) or anti-allergic 16 169 591 80 Oil was bought a long time ago, so its originality stands out from the crowd. All other filters are manufactured by Purflux. In original box oil filter lies the filter manufactured by Mahle and the country of origin is Austria. Fuel Purflux CS762, country of origin on the box UK. Yes, for some reason the manufacturer clamped the plugs on the fuel pipes, only a new one was found in the package sealing rubber under the cap and plug on the filter itself. It’s a pity, of course, but not fatal, I’ve got enough plugs, I’ll pick it up in the place when I change it. Air filter A1406, place of production is the European Union. Molding is neat, there is an additional synthetic layer for difficult conditions operation. Cabin filter AHC261-2. There is a QR code on the package, by scanning it you can download the installation instructions in PDF format. The filter is carbon and consists of two halves. Country of origin on the packaging Slovenia. The weight of the "half" is 104 grams. I don’t know if it’s a lot or a little, there was only one filter on 607 and it weighed about 300-350 grams, depending on the filter manufacturer. Of course it's from carbon filter, paper ones are even easier. Like that's all. It remains to buy 4 liters of oil from the dealer and you can change it. Thank you for your attention. • Hi all.
I had planned to refill the air conditioner for a long time, but I found the time only now. As you know, we have R-1234yf refrigerant in the system, an environmentally friendly gas, but terribly expensive. On the official service, they asked for "about 400-450 Belarusian rubles ($ 200-225) for refueling the system. The price tag is horseish, to put it mildly. Having smoked the Internet, in particular the Russian Citroen Club, I decided to fill up gas previous generation. As a result, he turned to Avtoholod, which is in the village. Solar. There, they asked for 80 rubles for refueling the system.
First of all, adapters for standard fittings for 134a were put on and the remaining gas was bled from the system. According to the estimates of the master, there were about 100 grams in the system. Further standard, evacuation and injection of new gas. Everything about everything took 650 grams of freon with oil.
As a result, it is better to cool the system and the murmur under the hood disappeared when the air conditioner was running at a speed of up to 1500-1600 approximately.
That's all. Thank you for your attention. Issue price: $40 Mileage: 108,703 km
