Due to the power of friction, the lamp is held very tightly in the headlight, however, if there is a fear that it may turn during operation, when cutting off the whiskers, it is worth cutting them off not entirely, but leaving approximately 0.5 millimeters from each antennae. These remnants, which are sharpened with scissors, will cling very well to the plastic housing of the headlight and will not allow the lamp to turn.

On some brands, the mounting of the lamp in the headlight is done in such a way that there is no support board in the headlight housing, and the lamp adheres only to the mustache itself. Accordingly, if they are cut off, the lamp will easily fall into the headlight. Adjusting the headlights of Japanese cars solves the problem in a couple of ways. The first is to make the latest in recesses for the whiskers in the headlight housing, which allow you to mount the lamp in correct position.

This method is very laborious and requires special means and equipment, such as boron machines. But at the same time, it does not require reworking the lamp itself and makes it possible to simply change it in the future. Another method is to solder the newest lamps to the lamp base instead of the cut mustaches. It is also very time consuming, since the base is made of metal, which is not so easy to solder, in addition, it is not always possible to be sure that this soldering will hold on for a long time and firmly. A third method is to produce a simple mustache cap for the lamp base.

To do this, you need to prepare a piece of tin, for example, from an old tin can, no less than six by six centimeters in size. Then the headlights can be adjusted to Japanese cars. And a coin with two rubles, nail scissors, pliers, and some kind of marker will also come in handy. Having attached a coin with two rubles to the center of a piece of tin, it is circled with a marker. The tin is pierced with scissors, and a round hole is cut out according to the circled line.

A piece of tin is put on the tail of the lamp base, and the outer contour of the base is outlined along with the mustache. The tin is removed from the base and next to each mustache, exactly the same is drawn, but shorter by one third. We cut the tin according to the resulting outline. Then a cut is made between adjacent whiskers. An overlay is put on the tail of the lamp base, and the outer shape of the ring and mustache is adjusted.

Next, expanding central hole in the ring so that the holding spiral passes into this hole and holds the light bulb by the base, and not by the trim. The normal whiskers on the lamp base are cut off. 3. Then stick vertical strips of adhesive tape along the lines passing through the centers of the projections on the wall of the front headlight lenses (the brightest light spots);

4. Stick an even, horizontally located strip of adhesive tape on the wall along a line drawn through the centers of the projections of the lenses of the headlights on the wall surface;

5. To adjust the direction of the optical axes of the headlights, drive the car away from the wall at a distance of 7.6 m (use a tape measure);

6. We start by adjusting the direction of the optical axis of the low beam. Try to rotate the adjustment screws of the headlights to achieve such an arrangement of light spots so that the zones with maximum illumination intensity are approximately 50 mm below the horizontal line and 50 mm to the right of the vertical ones;

7. Having finished adjusting the low beam, turn on the high beam: the zones of maximum illumination intensity should shift in the direction of the intersection of the vertical lines with the horizontal, being slightly below the latter.

To obtain equally complete centering of the rays of both the near and high beam in practice is not possible. You should try to reach a compromise solution, taking into account the peculiarities of the operation of the car, giving priority to ensuring maximum traffic safety.
