So charismatic and memorable that it is impossible to remain indifferent. The interior of the Ford Shelby GT 500, although quite ascetic, which, in fact, is inherent in all “Americans,” is nevertheless still very comfortable. Good music and audio equipment. The dynamics are not so bad as to put it in the minuses (but again, there is nothing to compare it with), but it also does not shine so much that I sing its praises. Good engine sound - very characteristic and recognizable. “Mustang” - in one word. The disadvantages of the Ford Shelby GT 500 are the notorious handling, steering and maneuverability. All this leaves much to be desired. As well as the delayed traction control (specially redone in this model), which makes driving unsafe on wet asphalt or puddles.

The car is not a racing car, and the way it drives leaves much to be desired. But after driving the Ford Shelby GT 500 every day, you understand why it was made. What becomes clear is that the whole point of this car is not crazy acceleration or insanely precise handling, but rather a combination of sensible practicality and style. Even though it has less than 400 “horses” under the hood, goosebumps still appear when you press the gas. This, of course, is facilitated by the incredibly pleasant sound of the V8, which also comes from the exhaust. And after I drove the Ford Shelby GT 500 throughout the snowy winter, I generally fell in love with this car. And the understanding that the Americans made it for almost all occasions became obvious. I have a feeling that the developers included in the car’s tasks such things as: driving through concrete walls, shootouts with the police, evading pursuit, and delivery to some distant country. I won’t go into details about the style: the car is heavy, it eats a lot, the girls like it. I won’t talk too much about the disadvantages either, I’ll just note that in winter there was a real lack of heated seats. There is a complaint about the rear suspension, it’s the 21st century, and Ford still puts a dependent suspension on their sports model, although it has a plus; in winter it was even useful for constant sideways driving. But what I don't like most about the Ford Shelby GT 500 is the brakes.

Flaws : fuel consumption. In winter, heated seats are not enough. Brakes.

Like many classic American car fans, I've always loved the 1967 or 1969 Mustang. For a very long time I was engaged in an empty search for the classic “Mustang” and even at one point I wanted to buy one version and drive it every day, but still times change, and the car becomes more comfortable and convenient, but loses its charm and brutality compared to that generation. It was decided to family council buy a Ford Shelby GT 500. Yesterday we picked up the car from a dealer in the Czech Republic who sells new “Americans”. And on the first day I drove a little more than 200 km and was completely satisfied with my choice. I always wanted a real tough car to handle. The advantages of this car, of course, are the engine and its stunning sound, even I would say roar. The manual transmission is quite short, the clutch is also a bit harsh. Rear drive and a beautiful brutal appearance. The car was taken for the purpose of modification, and I have a lot of plans for the Ford Shelby GT 500. The downside is the small tank is 60 liters, now my consumption is 19 liters per 100 km and is approximately enough for 450-500 km (as the car writes). The interior is a little poor, although there is navigation and other attributes besides heated seats (the Recaro seats are not heated, but the standard ones are). Since I use the heated seats once a year, I don't think I'll suffer from this.
