Resource of engines and transmissions Hyundai Santa Fe (Hyundai Santa Fe). Buyers Tips Hyundai Santa Fe Problems Hyundai Santa Fe 2.4

Crossover Santa Fe became the first in the lineup of the Hyundai brand. The appearance of the first generation turned out to be very controversial, for which she often got it from car critics. Nevertheless, the car managed to gain recognition and popularity among buyers. This was especially true for the North American market. Subsequent generations only solidified the crossover's success. Moreover, the designers did not sit idly by. And if the second generation can be called just ordinary, then the third already looked very worthy.

One of the main qualities that the owners highlight is the reasonable combination of price and quality of the car. And all this is not at all modest in size and spacious interior. An important factor is the successful use of power units, which were equipped with different generations of the crossover. In this article, it is the Hyundai Santa Fe engines that are subjected to a detailed review.

Hyundai Santa Fe powertrain line

Officially supplied to the domestic market, Hyundai Santa Fe did not offer an unlimited variety of power plants. In-line naturally aspirated fours, V-sixes and a pair of diesels - such a choice for a potential buyer. Below are the options for picking Santa Fe in different generations.

I generation (2000-2006)

  • 2.4 MPI (145 hp) G4JS;
  • 2.7 V6 (179 hp) G6BA.

II generation (2006-2012)

  • 2.2 CRDi (150 HP) D4EB-V;
  • 2.2 CRDi (197 hp) D4HB;
  • 2.4 MPI (174 hp) G4KE;
  • 2.7 V6 (189 hp) G6EA.

III generation (2012-2018)

  • 2.2 CRDi (197/200 HP) D4HB;
  • 2.4 MPI (175 HP) G4KE.

2.4 l. G4JS. Heir to Japanese traditions

Structurally, this unit is a copy of the Mitsubishi engine. At that time, Hyundai Corporation was gaining its own experience, so it preferred to use proven solutions from other manufacturers, mainly Japanese. The engine turned out to be quite reliable and maintainable. But not without characteristic flaws.

One of these is the balancer shafts. Designed as an effective vibration damping tool, they do the job well. But at the same time, they can lead to serious engine problems. Balance weights have the unpleasant property of regularly collapsing, and their broken parts fall on the timing belt. All this can lead to a break in the belt, and as a result to damage to the valves. In some cases, the entire cylinder head and piston group can be seriously damaged. In order to avoid such disastrous consequences, it is recommended to carefully monitor the condition of the balancers and use only high-quality oil. Some owners solve the problem radically - by completely dismantling the structure.

The intake manifold, due to its design features, can burn out already in the region of 70-80 thousand of its run. Even the fact that it is cast does not help.

Severe vibrations are most likely indicative of worn engine mounts. The left pillow most often suffers from this.

Floating idle speed can indicate several problems. These may be malfunctions of the idle speed sensors or the temperature. In addition, contamination of the injectors or the throttle assembly may be possible causes.

Do not delay the oil change. An increase in the service mileage may, as a result, lead to failure of the plunger pair of hydraulic compensators. Like balancers, they hate low-quality lubricants. It is also recommended not to use the coolant for too long. The peculiarities of the engine operation lead to the fact that it quickly loses the necessary properties.

Despite the presence of rather unpleasant features, the 2.4 liter engine. G4JS is considered to be quite resourceful. Its average mileage to the "capital" is an impressive 300 thousand km. At the same time, they note the relative ease of performing overhaul on such motors.

2.7 l. V6 G6BA / G6EA

The flagship engine of the first generation Santa Fe on the domestic market was a V-shaped "aspirated" six-cylinder with the designation G6BA. The engine belongs to the Delta family, but it has not undergone drastic changes compared to the motors of the previous Sigma family. The main differences are a lightweight aluminum cylinder head and a plastic intake manifold.

In 2006, it was replaced by a Delta Mu series motor. The engine was simply a more powerful version of its predecessor. The power increase was achieved through the use of the CVVT phase control system.

These engines did not turn out to be absolutely problem-free, but their potentially possible mileage may well be 300-400 thousand km.

The common design base has led to the presence of common inherent problems and malfunctions. One of the main and dangerous features of such engines is called the design of the intake manifold. It is made of plastic with swirl flaps. The impact of vibration of a running engine on a weak, ill-conceived fastening in the form of small bolts can lead to the fact that the dampers will unscrew and enter the combustion chambers. Such a nuisance can happen already in the region of 70 thousand. At one time, this story became so widely known that the manufacturer had to conduct a recall campaign.

If this has already happened, then you will probably have to do a major overhaul of the engine. The edges of the pistons are destroyed by impacts in the damper chamber. This leads to the knocking of the piston. In addition, even the appearance of seizures on the cylinders is possible.

Oil burnout or a sharp drop in oil level may occur. Sometimes it even comes down to turning the connecting rod bushings. The reason for such troubles is the development of piston rings.

Timing belt tension problems, as a result, can lead to its breakage. This is followed by valve damage, so it is worth checking the drive tension periodically. Hydraulic lifters can be annoying with noise from their work. Most likely this is evidence of their imminent failure.

2.4 l. G4KE. "World" motor

This unit is the fruit of the next cooperation between Hyundai and Mitsubishi. It was developed jointly by Korean and Japanese engineers. The collaboration took place within the framework of the World Engine program. Thanks to this, it became widespread, which was limited not only to models of the Hyundai brand. An interesting feature is the identity of this unit with the Mitsubishi 4B12 engine, so spare parts for the motor can, if necessary, be searched through the Mitsubishi catalogs.

The cylinder block and cylinder head were made lightweight. The content of aluminum in them reaches 80%. A metal chain is used as a timing drive. This solution can be considered successful, since the node turned out to be quite reliable.

If we take the total engine resource, then with an average statistical operation it is at least 250-300 thousand km. At the same time, there are problems that can prevent the achievement of such figures.

For example, some owners have complained about engine knocking. The main and connecting rod bearings can be their source, and the reason is the lack of oil. Lack of lubrication can lead to cranking of the liners and subsequent seizure of the crankshaft. It is also necessary to carefully monitor the oil pressure. Cases of failure of the oil pump have been recorded. The consequences of working with such a malfunction can be very critical. Cylinder seizures are just a small part of the iceberg of problems that can follow.

Failure of phase regulators, as well as a small resource of the air conditioner bearing, are also noted. With runs of more than 50 thousand, nozzles can annoy noisy work. Or, more precisely, "chirping". Such ailment is treated by adjusting the injection system.

2.2 l. D4EB-V. Almost classic

The D4EB series engines were the first diesel engines of a new type installed by Hyundai on their cars. In the future, they served as the basic platform for the creation of other diesel units.

The D4EB-V engine is an upgraded version with a volume of 2.2 liters. Despite the use of modern, at that time, solutions, there are no fundamental differences from the classic diesel engine in this engine. The design is well thought out and well done. It cannot be called super-reliable, but a strong average - easy.

When using high-quality oil and observing a reasonable schedule for its replacement, the engine runs up to 200-250 thousand km. Otherwise, there may be problems. The oil system becomes dirty, oil starvation occurs. As a result, accelerated wear of surfaces subject to friction.

With significant mileage, fuel consumption can increase significantly. Initially, you should pay attention to the quality of consumed diesel fuel. If the assumption of low quality is confirmed, preventive actions should be taken. They consist in flushing the fuel system. It will not be superfluous to use an additive that is able to eliminate the remnants of resins and other deposits. This will lead to better combustion of the diesel fuel and will also make starting much easier.

2.2 l. D4HB. Manufacturability is not a sentence

This unit turned out to be a very technological product. Its high technical characteristics did not prevent it from being also an economical and environmentally friendly engine. At the same time, the reliability indicators are at a very decent level. This is evidenced by its popularity in the market of contract motors. As with any modern product, competent service is the key to long-term trouble-free operation. Its declared resource is 250 thousand km, however, with timely high-quality service, such engines pass on average about 300 thousand.

Among the disadvantages that annoy the owners, one can single out the oil consumption. It is especially evident when driving aggressively. But even with quiet movement, it will not be superfluous to regularly monitor its level. The manufacturer calls this a design feature, that is, a normal occurrence for such a motor. With an increase in mileage, consumption volumes can also actively increase, which will no longer be within the normal range.

It is not uncommon for this engine to knock around the timing chains, of which there are two. The reason for the unpleasant sounds is a clogged tensioner channel. In this case, cleaning is performed. The timing drive itself, according to the repair regulations, has an unlimited resource, but in practice, its real life rarely exceeds 130 thousand km.

The new type of injectors turned out to be very capricious. All due to the fact that they use the piezoelectric effect. This leads to the fact that the engine begins to "triple", stall and start poorly. It is possible to adequately eliminate such a malfunction only in a specialized service.

It is recommended to periodically change the fuel pre-filter located in the tank. Over time, it clogs up, which leads to dips in thrust and strong vibrations. Practice shows that, on average, its replacement is required every 60 thousand km.

During the ownership of this car, the car in the service stood more than it drove ...

3 razdatki were changed under warranty (mileage 15000km-29000km-38000km), the rear clutch 2 times for 32000km and at the moment again for 40500km, the automatic transmission was repaired for the first time by 30,000 - the second time was already under the replacement of the automatic transmission completely at 38,000 km, so as it was not subject to repair, right front ball, differential, steering wheel upholstery, etc.

I personally have a terrible oil consumption ... 3-4 liters for 15,000 km. the service interval ... talked with other owners of the usual SANTA FE, oil is also added 2-3 liters at least ... and all the breakdowns with all-wheel drive also passed ... these four-wheel drive problems for all 100% SANTA FE and kia sorento? as well as the younger brothers IX35, etc., many drivers drive and do not suspect that all-wheel drive has long been gone ...

very sorry for those who buy these second-hand cars and then get a lot of money !!! I was very surprised that almost all the owners sell their GRAND santa fe after 2-3 years of ownership, realizing that owning it after the guarantee is just for money.

The car did not live up to expectations! originally cost 1 970 000r but the quality and reliability is lame. The car has a beautiful interior. The design is also beautiful, but these are all the little things further about everything in more detail.

ADVANTAGES:

  • Beautiful design.
  • Nice interior and good audio system
  • Large trunk and a bunch of pleasant things !!
  • Consumption on the highway 10l and 19l in the city, the dynamics is normal !!! But there are still more minuses than pluses!

LIMITATIONS:

  • After a run of 25,500 km, welded spots on the body began to recede, after 10,578 km the roof began to rattle and vibrate, the high cost of spare parts and by the time of 30,000 km the automatic machine began to work worse (stronger steel jerks), the air conditioner noticeably puts the car down. In Santa Fe, 2 generations of such nuances were not observed, although there were also enough minuses, especially in the chassis.

When I bought a car for almost 2 million I hoped for better quality and reliability !!!

I bought the car in February 2013 at the East Market Motors SPB dealership for 1,420,000. For my money, the car has almost no analogues, the choice was deliberate, before that I changed 8 cars from the brand to the new one.

In my review I will not talk about the little things, I will write about a really terrible situation that will make you think when choosing this car.

On the 16th of June, returning from the dacha, I felt the growing smell of solarium in the cabin. Stopped and opened the hood ... blah ... everything was doused with fuel. mileage of the car at this point was 6,000 km. I called a tow truck and they dragged me to the station. The next day, the master calls and says in a joyful voice - come, take it. Arriving at the ICT market motors, I saw my car with a clean engine. When asked what happened and what was done, the foreman said: yes, there the return line of the fuel line parted, we fastened it again (who knows, this line has a joint, which actually parted). There was an awkward pause. I asked "and ... then I will continue to ride this one." The master lowered his eyes to the floor and said ... well, I can't do anything, you ... this ... look under the hood more often. I was shocked. When I was picking up the car, the manager Alexey, who sold me the car, drew attention to me. Learning about what happened, Lesha uttered nonsense, they say the diesel does not burn ...

I do not bother your attention with trifles, but it is worth thinking about choosing a car with a current fuel line, and about an interior that releases its client in a killer car.

I took a photo. The disconnected fuel return hose is clearly visible there. The whole nightmare is that the car was driving without any problems, since the line was reverse, that is, through it, excess fuel is returned to the tank ... xs, what would have happened if it had not been for the smell, or if there had been gasoline ... ...

Now I have written a letter to the salon and Hyundai. We will wait for the reaction.

Advantages:

  • Powerful engine
  • Spacious salon
  • Reasonable price (took on the stock)

Disadvantages:

  • Quality and service
  • A disgusting bald patch formed on the steering wheel after 6,000 km.
  • I have already visited the service for additional equipment 3 times
  • The turbo timer, which was installed in the cabin, turned out to be defective. The car stood for 10 hours in the city center with the engine running

If there was a domestic car, I would look at it closely, but here I did not believe that Hyundai could produce a car with the current fuel line ...

Hyundai Grand Santa Fe crossover car - Grand Santa Fe does not fully correspond to the declared price

Advantages:

  • Large salon
  • comfort

Disadvantages:

  • Discrepancy between price and quality.
  • After a couple of years of operation, it is advisable to "get rid" of the car in order to avoid unnecessary expenses.

I bought the Grand Santa Fe (diesel) in April 2014. Now the mileage is 175,000. Last month I got to repair the engine (replacement of the head of the block). By the way, a friend bought a used regular Santa Fe also diesel. The mileage was 92,000. I drove five thousand kilometers and the same problem with the engine arose. But his repair was under warranty. Coincidental or not, two engines with one problem seems suspicious to me ...

After more than three years of exploitation of "crickets", a whole family lives in the cabin.

Yesterday I began to feel some strange jolts on the rear wheels when cornering. I'll go to the service to "please" with a new surprise.

Before that, there was a wad 406. For 10 years I drove more than 600,000. As the saying goes, "I did not know grief." But, he began to "pour in" on the sly. I had to change the car. Unfortunately, the choice of the Grand Santa Fe was not the best one. I will buy and sell a new car. But it will definitely not be Hyundai!

I bought a car on November 09, 2012 in a car dealership on the Dmitrovskoe highway in the city of Moscow (Avtomir LLC AMKapital). I liked the car as a whole very much !!! On March 04, 2014 at 15:36 a car caught fire, parked in the yard. And in 12 minutes it completely burned out. The Ministry of Emergency Situations conducted a fire and technical examination and found out that it was spontaneous combustion of a Hyundai SantaFe car. More precisely

Russian Emergency Situations Ministry

Federal State "Forensic Expert Center of the Federal Fire Service for the city of Moscow) FGBU SEC FPS for Moscow)

Expert conclusion:

  • the fire source is located in the engine compartment of a Hyundai Santa FE car. It is not possible to more accurately establish the source of the fire (the place of initial combustion) based on the submitted inspection materials.
  • the cause of the fire, in this case, could be the burning of combustible materials that were in the zone of the established fire source, from the thermal effect of an emergency fire hazardous mode of operation in the car's electrical system.

AMKapital LLC has taken the car for its examination at the moment !!

But here it is already clear that we will have to sue !!!

So, before buying this car, read it - here it is spelled out in more detail

There was a creak in the torpedo. From the very beginning to the present day, it will cover the leather seat and steering wheel. I did not go to the dealer, for me this is a trifle. After a year of operation, when the brake was pressed, a click appeared in the area of the gearbox. And another click when you release the pedal. The dealer got frostbitten, because this does not affect driving performance. Sometimes the rear-view camera is buggy (interference, like on the Electron TV). I told them to look, but the law of meanness - everything works!

The multimedia system Hyundai Santa Fe 2. 4 also does not always work smoothly. You turn it on - and the corporate logo is on the screen and that's it, you have to overload it several times. It really pisses me off when you want to leave the parking lot in the morning using a camera, but it is not available. The rear doors bulge out in relation to the rear fenders. It seems that the car is after an accident. At TO they said that this is such a design. There were also such "Santas" in the salon, but the neighbor in the parking lot did not have this "defect". This does not affect the tightness, it is quiet in the cabin, but it touches the soul.

A couple of months ago, it began to start badly, the starter does not want to turn on the first time. This happens a couple of times a week. And the worst thing is the appearance of signs of corrosion in the form of a swelling on the front fender and above the forehead. I'll go to the dealer with all these jambs, then I'll unsubscribe. There is hope for the elimination of breakdowns, because santa fe 2 reviews indicate positive results.

They warned me that this is not an SUV. But no, I was carried home from the dacha after a two-day rain and I sat down with my belly on a track. No fidgeting back and forth, with the connection of the "type" of all-wheel drive did not help. The result is a dirty interior, wasted nerves and towing by the lawn to the asphalt.

In general, the car is not bad, but all sorts of little things spoil the prevailing opinion about it. However, this is the last "Korean" in my life. Therefore, I DO NOT ADVISE.

Neutral reviews

Complete set:

  • 12 airbags
  • 2-zone climate
  • cd-mp3 for 6 disks
  • bright skin
  • panoramic sunroof
  • refrigerator compartment under the armrest
  • power accessories for mirrors and seats
  • light-rain sensor
  • cruise control and multimedia leather steering wheel
  • cool instrument lighting
  • attractive eyelash dimensions
  • rear parking sensors, etc.

The advantages of the model:

  • Very spacious wheelbarrow
  • almost silent operation of the motor
  • excellent performance of climate control
  • spacious trunk (even push the elephant)
  • under the trunk there is a huge hidden storage room
  • the most cost-effective model in its class.

Disadvantages of the model:

  • acceleration dynamics (not a fountain) about 11 sec. up to a hundred
  • rare 4-stubble box automatic tupit on all ranges
  • slightly stiffer suspension (only GAZ-69 is stiffer)
  • no xenon even in the optional extra (why?)
  • infinity radio did not exceed my expectations
  • does not consume fuel, but hawala 13, 9 liters per hundred without climate - in my opinion, for 2.7 gluttony
  • bugs were not heard at first, but gradually begin to appear, especially in the luggage compartment.

Conclusions:

Of course, the result of South Korean auto manufacturers is obvious, but as at all times they lack something. Either the motors are weak, the plastic is noisy, the suspension is like on crutches, then the muzzle cannot be determined in any way. Specifically, according to Santa, I can say the following, they have option 3.3 American, they say she is very nimble, and there is also a Veracruz model (ix55) for Europe that is twice as powerful as Santa 3. 8 engine, but sits on a strict diet of 12 liters per hundred on formula AI-95. Of course, it costs more, it’s like someone. Veracruz, although it is considered a class above (Lexus RX-350), but outwardly, (it seems to me) Santa performs 100%!

Advice. Take, but keep in mind that this is not a Lexus or Infiniti, but just a successful Hyundai. In other words, it's worth its money, it's a fact!

My opinion Santa is a big toy for adults that is always missing something. Charge it with a Veracruz motor and its suspension and everything will fall into place. In principle, and so nothing, just have something to compare. Yes, not a Lexus, but worth the money.

If I sell, I will buy myself Veracruz. These Koreans began to make cars painfully well.

HELLO EVERYBODY! I own a car since 2013. The equipment at that time was called "Sport", now there is no such, then there was a gap between full and incomplete "minced meat". I traveled everywhere, to the sea, to the Urals, for my insignificant mileage of 57,000 km. nothing serious happened. The diesel engine froze twice, in the Urals the temperature dropped sharply in October, and the diesel is summer and in Moscow for the new year it is more than minus 32. Now I use additives if the forecast promises a severe frost.

Breakdowns:

  • the headlight washer froze in the cold, I pushed it in with my hand and apparently broke it, replaced it under warranty, the warranty is valid for up to 3 years.
  • left stabilizer strut at 55,000 km. (they said a factory defect, it runs more than 100 tons. km), an authorized dealer has a replacement for 5 thousand rubles. , the warranty said 4 years, did not have time.

there was nothing else, the four-wheel drive experienced on the field in the snow, normal. Kia Sorento, in principle, is an analogue for Santa Fe, all the details are identical, the acquaintance drove 120 thousand km without problems, only changed the bearings. If someone wants to buy a used version, I think it's not bad, the chassis hardware changes inexpensively.

Large outside and inside the car. It has a "conditional" four-wheel drive, which turns off automatically when a speed of 40 km / h is reached, but the thing is necessary to knead snow when parking in yards. The clearance is too small and allows you to climb onto the curb, but you need to be careful to get off it!

My opinion is that not a single car in the world is worth the money that is asked for it, including this one! Cars have lost their individuality, are made like a blueprint and, in principle, have the same set of qualities and problems. But demand creates supply and the next "masterpiece" comes off the assembly line! The price of this car is lower than that of competitors, Germans or Japanese, but it seems to me that it is still high (especially the current price tag) :(

ADVANTAGES:

  • Large trunk / interior volume.
  • The presence of a "conditional" all-wheel drive sometimes helps out.
  • The presence of a 2-zone climate, good suspension.
  • Comfortable interior, although the quality of the materials could be better.
  • The general warranty is 3 years, if the car is imported, then plus another 2 years for the engine and gearbox and that's it!

The logic of the head light is not clear - if the engine is running, then the LED backlight is working, to turn it off, you need to turn on the dipped beam, that is, in any case, you will be "designated", perhaps even when you do not want it! None of the standard acoustics (replaced by JBL). Replaced the head unit with INCAR on Android, Yandex navigation, Navitel and a rear-view camera (the original GU is just "horse" money!). At 33,000 km, the power steering (feeling of "biting") in the assembly had to be changed under warranty (this is their trademark disease, on many KIAs where the same EUR is installed, respectively). 38 000 km replacement of one tip and one LED backlight in the fog light under warranty. A branded "sore", "mushrooms" appear at the junction of the windshield and the roof (especially noticeable on white cars), it is treated with a guarantee if noticed in a timely manner, and otherwise the color of part / whole of the roof at its own expense !!! In general, the quality of painting leaves much to be desired, small "kosyachki" are even on brand new cars! At each MOT you have to do a descent / collapse! Even on "Zhiguli" so often did not do it !!! At speeds over 100 km / h, the car has to be "caught" on the road, the car is heavy and at speed it starts to scour the road. A more adequate interaction between the automatic transmission and the engine was cured by CHIP tuning. Consumption of about 13l / 100km in the city, on the highway about 7-9l. The volume of the fuel tank is small. Weak body rigidity, we roll over the "speed bump" and hear the characteristic creak of door panels and when hanging the wheels on one side, do not try to open / close the fifth door - you will be well oochen disappointed with an outright skew! ... At 47 thousand. the right ice backlight died, the warranty has already expired, in this way: 3, 5tyr repair, 44tyk. - Another steering tip is dead!

There is no general guarantee for 5 years, then after 15 thousand. km.

Overall assessment, believe me for a very "gentle" operation - TROYAK !!!

I chose a car to have a diesel (2.150 hp) with a manual transmission (manual transmission), was large and spacious ... the choice was either a slightly used Mitsubishi Pajero or a new Hyundai Santa Fe. I stopped at Santa - a new model, streamlined, pleasant view, a tree-like torpedo, comfortable rear seats (not like a tag, legs reach the jaw) it's convenient to travel long distances ...

Breakdowns after 3 months:

  • replaced the front strut for my own money, there is no guarantee
  • now it is necessary to change all the cylindrical blocks of the front suspension, the car is 4 months old, not counting the fact that the discs are set square, which the relatives go with the car.

People, think for yourself, but a big jeep is good if it is for the city, and where rest and fishing everything starts to break down ... the car is 4 months old, and you drive on dirt roads and think that you are sitting in a pretty penny of the seventies, that everything is strumming and knocks, and then probably not at all ...

Advantages:

  • Design
  • relatively inexpensive if you look at competitors

Disadvantages:

  • Interior trim
  • weak suspension

Hyundai Santa Fe 2016 release.

The package bundle is almost complete, only a hatch and a large display were missing (although the usual one is quite informative, it is convenient to use the camera when parking). The comfortable entrance option works flawlessly, quickly and adequately + stylish key-fob.

Diesel unit and four-wheel drive. Be prepared to warm up the vehicle for about 20 minutes. Diesel all the same. When buying, it is better to immediately get an autostart, and preferably a heated engine. The latter will be extremely expensive.

At first glance, the Hyundai Santa Fe seems like the perfect car, both in terms of price and quality.

In economy mode, the car really consumes significantly less fuel, but this goes against the dynamics. The gas pedal starts to blunt hard, sometimes the "brains" do not quite understand which gear needs to be turned on. When overtaking, you have to switch to manual automatic transmission mode. And by the way, the economy mode is turned off in it.

In Sport and Comfort mode, the car behaves appropriately.

It was not clear to me that the thermostat slowly cools when working at idle.

As for the chassis, everything is according to the Korean canons. The suspension is very weak, the suspension on the pits knocks as if something is about to fall off.

Unfortunately, it was not possible to check off-road qualities. But be sure it will leave the snowdrift without problems. In the urban cycle, it makes no sense to include four-wheel drive.

Salon. Everything here is Korean, stylish and multifunctional. But, the materials leave much to be desired. All the same, cheap and hard plastic. The leather steering wheel is almost worn out at just 49,000 km. It is not difficult to scratch the plastic panels by carelessness.

Official maintenance at the dealer will cost you about 20 thousand, be prepared.

And so, the price of this car at the time of purchase was approximately 1,900,000 rubles. Few of the competitors can boast of such a price with such a rich package bundle, albeit with a budget finish.

Greetings to all owners of Hyundai Santa Fe, as well as potential buyers. I've been driving for a long time and I won't bore you with my former brands. Choosing a car for a long time and painfully. Reviews and recommendations outweighed in the direction of Santa, and last year I became the owner of it almost fully equipped, only used.

What I immediately liked about the santa fe was the convenience of getting in and the electric adjustment of the driver's seat, which keeps the driver comfortably on the road. The dynamics are a little disappointing. You drive into the oncoming lane when overtaking, the pedal "to the floor" ... and nothing happens !!! Until I got used to it ... I found a little "cure". It is necessary to manipulate the "gas": immediately after switching the speed, make a maneuver. If you go slowly, 110 km / h, then the consumption is about 10 liters. Even when climbing a hill, the traction does not disappear.

Weak lighting is striking. Perhaps it is not properly adjusted - it shines like a chandelier. The inclusion of foglights saves the situation.

Advantages of Santa Fe 2.4:

  • excellent suspension, not yet broken, rolls are minimal;
  • good insulation;
  • comfortable seats, especially an electric driver's seat (I travel far and don't get tired);
  • the back row is tilt-adjustable and folds into a flat floor;
  • the music plays quite well;
  • acceptable consumption (9, 7 - highway, 13, 5 - city);
  • everything fits into the trunk, there are convenient drawers in the floor;
  • climate control works perfectly;
  • keyless access;
  • refrigerator in the armrest.

Disadvantages:

  • this is not an SUV;
  • inconvenient navigator;
  • outdated interior, wooden inserts literally hurt the eyes;
  • the handbrake is made in the form of a "foot" brake.

This is all that I paid attention to for the year. I met hyundai santa fe 2. 4 reviews, which say about the thundering back row. I didn’t notice it. For your money, a car is suitable. Although I am the second owner, the car works like a watch. Before that, there was a Sonata, so I had no doubts about the reliability of the Koreans.

And further. I went to the Caucasus in May. Along the serpentines, the machine is a little inconvenient - it does not want to turn on the downhill. I used the manual mode, the same as on the mechanics, everything is familiar, only it is better not to touch the clutch. Enters the turns confidently. Of course, I didn't drive too much ...

Positive reviews

Santa Fe is a great car, large and spacious, reliable and unpretentious in maintenance, with an excellent off-road character. For the nine years that I own him, there are no strong complaints, he worked conscientiously.

What I would like to note. The car is stable on the road in any weather, the stability control electronics works perfectly! Good clearance, neither curbs nor snowdrifts are terrible. Great engine, I have 2, 7 V6. If you go on the highway 110-120 km / h, then the consumption is about 9-9.5 liters. So I recommend it!

Advantages of the car:

  • large and spacious
  • reliable and unpretentious in service
  • with excellent off-road character.

Disadvantages of the car

  • hard plastic, but this is in comparison with the Germans.

Good day everyone!

This car is not the first in our family and we have it in late autumn 2016. "Late" means it is already cold and there is snow somewhere. Since I repair all my cars myself in the yard or in the garage with my father-in-law (350 km from the house), I decided to postpone everything until warm and skate the winter with what I bought. The only thing is to change the oil in the engine with a filter naturally. Chassis asked for a little intervention, but suffered until warm days.

A little bit about yourself. I'm 46 years old. Since 1993, as soon as I received water. certificate and graduated from a road transport technical school, my work experience began as a driver of cars of all kinds of brands and manufacturers. At the moment, I am still using service ones: Camry 2, 5 AT 2016. v. , BMW X6 3, 0 D AT 2014. v.

First impressions of Santa Fe:

  • landing high as in the "Kruzak" (without a footboard I can hardly jump in (height 174 cm), with the harness lowered);
  • smooth as a ship;
  • tight steering wheel;
  • the idle speed of the brake pedal is too big;
  • I can't hear or feel the engine;
  • the gearbox (4-speed) works very softly (pah-pah-pah), sometimes you don't even feel switching at all (though when you "poke around" in traffic jams there are "poking");
  • short-travel suspension, but there is no roll in corners;
  • poor lateral support for the driver's seat;
  • small scratches are very noticeable on black plastic;
  • adequately stable on a winter road when cornering (ESP works great). my brains are just resting;
  • on road junctions and stones - hard;
  • on "speed bumps" - soft;
  • the stove in winter gives heat in a couple of minutes, as if there is an "electric hairdryer";
  • I really want to put a rear-view camera;
  • small turning radius with its not small external dimensions;
  • the rear seats are spacious (I don't see my boys, 8, 5 and 10 years old in the rear-view mirror;);
  • in the 5-seater version in the trunk you can hide half of the "necessary things" that are stored on the balcony;
  • a full-fledged SUV (not an SUV for sure);
  • driving this car is just pleasant.

Now about the repair:

  • In the first frosts, the front pillars flowed out. It was decided to give it for pumping after the New Year. I have already had experience with this rebuilding of the rear on the x-trail. We did everything, they still work fine, the issue price is 3000 rubles.
  • With the arrival of heat; - replacement of the front anti-roll bar bushings (80 rubles each),
  • replacement of the inner boot of the right front drive (160rub + grease),
  • replacement of the left ball joint (~ 800 rubles),
  • I had a trip to my beloved mother-in-law (350 km), which means there will be a garage. Just a mileage of 120,000 km came up - replacing the timing belt with rollers (~ 6000 rubles). About the belt - do not tighten for so long. Mine just miraculously held out. An interesting effect happened !!! Gas consumption on the highway fell from 10 to 8 liters per 100 km. on-board computer, at an average speed of 100 km / h. In the city, of course, everything depends on the nature of the ride.
  • Again I changed the oil in the engine (it quickly darkened - Lukoil Lux flooded - the old slags were washed off, there was even a moment when the oil pressure light began to blink (at that moment it was very scary for the engine), now everything Ok - light - will last until the cold weather. not yet noticed.
  • I made a partial oil change in the automatic transmission, I will definitely do it again before winter!
  • I made a complete fluid change in the power steering, filled in dexron 3. The steering wheel became easier to spin!
  • Bulbs in headlights and dimensions.

That's all there is to it !!!

Last week there was a run to Kosh-Agach with a stop at the Chemal hydroelectric station. Pleasure - full of pants !!! Happy with the car as an elephant !!! (T-T-T).

In the future, I will supplement as much as possible ...

In my opinion, one of the most beautiful and stylish cars in its class. Sufficiently soft suspension. Driving Santa there is no feeling that you are driving a large SUV. Spacious interior and roomy trunk. Those who say they don't drive are obviously about the gasoline engine. Diesel rushing. When accelerating, it perceptibly presses into the chair. I clocked up to 190, then it was dull, but the pedal was not yet up to the floor, with a margin. Reasonable turning radius. Doors covering thresholds. What pleased us - heated rear seats and steering wheel are already in the basic configuration.

I have not yet found any serious drawbacks, except that the noise of the wheels from the arches.

Every time I get into this car, I get the impression that I get into a huge all-terrain vehicle. True, unlike an all-terrain vehicle, movement on the road passes like cheese on butter. No extraneous noise, no extraneous vibration, tapping and all other discomfort. All your movement consists only of the sound of the engine. The suspension seems to adjust itself to the road so as not to inconvenience the driver. The rear seats for passengers are also very comfortable, even for long trips. Whether you are going on a trip or fishing, the luggage compartment will allow you to accommodate everything you need. Believe me, there will be enough space. As for the rich configuration and its advanced functions, there is nothing to write about, the quality is at the highest level, no glitches or errors have happened. Electronics does its job. Although Santa Fe is inferior in many respects to its more prestigious counterparts, but for its price and class, it deserves to compete.

Great car, large and spacious, reliable and unpretentious in maintenance, with an excellent off-road character. For 9 years that I own him, there are no strong complaints, he worked conscientiously. What I would like to note: stable on the road in any weather, electronic stability works perfectly! Good clearance, neither curbs nor snowdrifts are terrible. Great engine, I have 2, 7 V6. if you go on the highway 110-120 km / h, then the consumption is ~ 9-9.5 liters. So I recommend it!

I took (August 2015) a diesel, 4WD specialist, got experience of owning a diesel in the Far East (Toyota Emina), although many are skeptical about diesel. In winter, I go with an additive, there have been no problems yet, dropping 50g into the tank before refueling is not a problem. The throttle response is quite satisfactory, the flow rate is pleasantly surprising. In the city in winter there was no more than 9 liters per 100 km with a stove, and on the M4, when visiting parents in Rostov, I kept within 6 liters per 100 km, but provided that I tried not to run more than 120-125 km / h, if you fool around up to 150 km / h you get 6, 8-7, 0 liters per 100 km. Passed three maintenance, on average, each after 13000-14000 km, changed the front pads to 44000 km. The rest is still normal, I am stocking up on consumables and preparing for the 4th MOT.

Hyundai Grand Santa Fe crossover car - Good quality car without pretensions

Advantages:

  • Excellent build quality
  • good cross-country ability

Disadvantages:

  • A bit heavy

I bought my Santa Fe new in December 2014 at the Sim dealership in Moscow. This car became for me the 6th in 14 years of driving experience and the 3rd crossover. 5 previous ones were made in Germany (BMW, Volkswagen, Audi). True, it is worth noting that this is my first new car, which of course added some positive emotions.

In general, after a year of operation, the car fully justified the money spent and did not bother at all. The build quality is pretty good. There is silence in the cabin, nothing creaks. Two small children have not yet been able to scratch or break anything off. The soundproofing is excellent. No worse than my previous X5. Engine 2, 4 gasoline (perhaps a diesel engine is heard a little better).

In the first month after the purchase, we went to Poland to ski. On the first day, everything was covered with snow, and our apartments were on the mountain. Not a single passenger car went up the track with acceleration. We drove in without even bucking anywhere. At the same time, neither the differential lock, nor anything else included.

Externally, the car continues to please the eye and do not notice a single flaw.

The only thing worth noting is the large mass with not the most powerful engine. It's hard to accelerate (especially after x5). The box is no question, everything is smooth. The rest, too, like the car. Completion Speaker with TV optional. The sound is quite good. The parking camera also decides. In general, the impression is positive.

From Hyundai? This is not surprising today. But in 2001, Santa Fe presented to the general public made a lot of noise. The first pancake turned out to be by no means lumpy - even if not the most driver's one, but a well-balanced SUV fell to the taste of very many.

It is from 2001 that the Santa Fe success story should be counted. In 2006, the typical Korean crossover was replaced by a new model, more stylish, aimed at the European buyer. However, the first generation only migrated to the TagAZ conveyor, received the Classiс prefix and for some time was sold in parallel with the new product. But today is not about him. The second version of Santa Fe enjoyed no less popularity, one of the reasons for this was the presence of a 2.2 liter diesel engine in the modest line of engines. Another engine was a 2.7-liter gasoline unit that develops 190 hp. Both "engines" were offered with both a manual and an automatic transmission, however, a four-band automatic transmission was aggregated with a gasoline one, and a five-band one with a diesel engine. After restyling in 2006, the choice of engines increased: a 2.0-liter was added to the seriously modernized 2.2-liter diesel engine, and the 2.7-liter V6 gave way to a new 2.4-liter engine under the hood. The boxes have also changed: both types of transmission received 6 gears each. Hyundai has minimized the owner's costs for servicing the crossover - at least this conclusion suggests itself after comparing the list of maintenance operations. The timing belt of the first engines was replaced by a more reliable and "tenacious" chain, the oil in the gearbox and gearboxes no longer needed to be replaced. This once again underlines the intention to compete on equal terms with European manufacturers, which have long been restricting dealers' appetites in every possible way, setting their own (rather low) rates for maintenance.

Long-lived aggregates

The engines are generally quite reliable - with careful operation and proper care, they can withstand more than 300 thousand km without overhaul. Of course, problems do happen: for example, closer to 50 thousand km you have to change (or flush) diesel nozzles, the quality of spraying of which decreases due to poor quality of fuel. Around this run, it happened that glow plugs burned out. On the first models with a gasoline V6, catalytic converters quickly failed (they could not stand more than 60 thousand km), but very soon this problem disappeared. Owners of Santa Fe with a 2.7-liter engine and a mileage of more than 150 thousand km should often monitor the oil level - its consumption increases.

Transmission? No problem!

The weak point of the front suspension is the shock absorbers. Either the quality of the parts is not the best, or the heavy power units create a heavy load - in one way or another, the racks can withstand 40-60 thousand km. Bushings and stabilizer struts serve half as much, but in Russia this will not surprise anyone. With a mileage of 20-40 thousand km, the thrust bearings may need to be replaced; after 60 thousand km, the silent blocks of the front levers will most likely have to be replaced.

The situation is similar with the rear suspension: bushings and stabilizer struts also require replacement after 20-30 thousand km, shock absorbers again do not demonstrate miracles of survivability. But the transmission units require intervention infrequently. On cars with "mechanics" closer to 120 thousand km, clutch replacement is required, and often with a dual-mass flywheel. Since the operation involves dismantling the stretcher, it is quite laborious and, therefore, costly (about 11 thousand rubles. Only work costs). The gearboxes themselves can withstand more than 150 thousand km of operation without any problems. The viscous coupling, the outboard bearing and the drive shafts fail quite rarely (a backlash appears in the spline joints).

The front brake pads are usually enough for 30-40 thousand km, the rear ones - for 40-60 thousand. The discs have to be changed after the second replacement of the pads. There are problems with the brake system - the master cylinder is leaking (and into the salon).

Expert opinion

Sergey Ashnevich, technical expert, www.blockmotors.ru

The reliability of Hyundai Santa Fe and, accordingly, the condition of cars in the secondary market strongly depends on the specifics of their operation. If the previous owner did not consider it necessary to brake in front of pits and "speed bumps", get ready for an early replacement of shock absorbers. I imagined myself as a jeep and loved to climb in the mud - perhaps the clutch is already faulty and the crossover has changed from all-wheel drive to front-wheel drive. In general, I will call the car reliable, especially since the relative availability of spare parts and the long warranty period make it possible not to worry so much about every breakdown. Santa Fe has not noticed any serious technical problems, the body is well protected from corrosion, "glitches" of electricians are very rare

At the risk of sounding banal, I think it is necessary to remind Santa Fe owners once again that they have just a crossover, not intended for serious off-roading. If you want to force the swamps - buy the appropriate car, a real SUV. But if your "off-road" is a primer to the dacha, "Santa" really will be an excellent choice.

Owner opinion

Alexey Ilyin, Hyundai Santa Fe 2010 onwards, 2.2 diesel + automatic transmission, 104 thousand km

I am just delighted with the car: reliable, comfortable, roomy ... The only problem that I had to face was low-quality shock absorbers. They thundered from the first kilometers, for the first hundred thousand kilometers I installed new ones three times (under warranty). The diesel engine has successfully survived three winters, always started up, in any frost. I used anti-gel additives only in case of a strong minus, mainly there was standard diesel fuel in the tank.

More than once I drove my Santa Fe over long distances - this is where you will appreciate the comfortable seats and excellent chassis settings. A couple of times I spent the night right in the car: if you fold the rear seats, you get a compartment with a flat floor, which ideally fits a half-sleeping air mattress. In short, an excellent crossover for both the driver and passengers.

The first pancake is always lumpy. This is how you can describe the emergence of a mid-size crossover in the Hyundai lineup. Santa Fe was presented in 2000. He was repeatedly criticized for his peculiar appearance. But, like subsequent generations, it is in demand abroad and in Russia. There are objective reasons for this: a solid resource of Santa Fe, a reasonable ratio of price and quality, a roomy interior, high ground clearance, inexpensive maintenance and repair of the chassis, time-tested power units of the Sigma, Delta, Theta, Lambda lines, etc. over the years, gasoline and diesel internal combustion engines were installed in tandem with four-, five-, six-speed transmissions.

The resource of Santa Fe depends on the type of motor and transmission, features of operation, maintenance. To begin with, let's take a look at the Santa Fe engine, evaluate its survivability in Russian conditions.

Power units and their resource on the first generation Santa Fe

The first generation crossover was produced from 2001 to 2005. When creating it, the engineers focused on the flagship of those years - the Lexus RX. Santa Fe was going to Korea, China, Russia (at TagAZ). It was equipped with gasoline engines of 2.0, 2.4, 2.7 and 3.5 liters, as well as a two-liter turbodiesel unit. The car, depending on the engine, was equipped with a four- or five-speed automatic transmission, as well as a five-speed manual.

Power Santa Fe with a diesel engine CRDi is 112 hp. with. Gasoline versions give out from 134 to 200 liters. with. The crossover has front or permanent four-wheel drive. In the second case, the torque in a ratio of 60 to 40 is distributed by an unbalanced center differential.

Santa Fe was officially supplied to Russia with a diesel engine, as well as 2.4 or 2.7 liter gasoline engines. Versions with 3.5-liter internal combustion engines were imported on order from Canada and the United States. The consumption of petrol Hyundai Santa Fe of the first generation varies from 12 to 18 liters of fuel per 100 km. Simple aspirates are gluttonous, but they win in terms of reliability. The 2.7-liter engine can be considered the most successful, because the 2.4-liter unit is equipped with balance shafts. The V6 engine uses expensive platinum spark plugs that last from 40 to 60 thousand km. The average resource of Santa Fe gasoline engines is 300 thousand km.

Let's talk in more detail about the advantages, breakdowns and disadvantages, the resource of the diesel version. It is more economical, pleases with good traction at the bottom. In theory, the resource of a diesel internal combustion engine should be 20% more than that of a gasoline aspirated engine. Yes, only the turbine and the design features of the motor make their own adjustments.

Diesel is demanding on maintenance, it is afraid of long driving at high speeds and low-quality diesel fuel and oil. The 2.0 CRDi has design flaws. For example, a weak fuel priming pump, fuel filter connections that dry out, which leads to air leaks with a further drop in power. Problems are also caused by the fuel pressure regulator in the rail, in the event of a breakdown of which the dynamics of Santa Fe noticeably deteriorates.

The five-speed manual transmission and the four-speed automatic transmission Hyundai Santa Fe are quite successful. Of the shortcomings of the machine - thoughtfulness, he walks without problems 200-250 thousand km. In versions with manual transmission, a weak dual-mass flywheel was installed, which can withstand from 100 to 120 thousand kilometers.

Box and engine on the second generation Hyundai Santa Fe

Hyundai Santa Fe ll generation was produced from 2006 to 2012. For the Korean company, this was a real breakthrough in terms of design. The crossover is in demand in the domestic market, as it has managed to prove its reliability, unpretentiousness, and practicality. Under the hood is a G6EA, G4KE, D4EB-V or D4HB engine. Occasionally there are versions with a 3.3-liter gasoline engine - the same as in the Sonata (they were sold on the American market).

G6EA

It is a 2.7-liter V6 petrol engine that produces 185 horsepower. Belongs to the Delta family. The cylinder block is based on an aluminum alloy. An electronic system is used that controls the ignition and petrol injection. The oil volume in the lubrication system is 4 liters. With timely maintenance, the resource of the Santa Fe G6EA motor is 400-500 thousand km.

G4KE

A 2.4-liter gasoline engine of the Theta ll family was also installed on. The four-cylinder engine block is made of aluminum. The power is 174 liters. with. Some car owners complain about the knock of the G4KE, which should not be neglected. It can be provoked by main and connecting rod bearings, as well as a shortage of oil. The latter is fraught with cranking the liners and jamming the crankshaft.

Due to the lack of hydraulic lifters, it is necessary to periodically adjust the valves, often with runs over 100 thousand km. The resource of the Santa Fe G4KE engine is at least 250-300 thousand km.

D4EB-V

It is a 2.2-liter diesel engine with a capacity of 150 hp. with. Used on pre-styling versions of Hyundai Santa Fe. With solid mileage, over 150 thousand km, problems of increased consumption may appear. There are many different reasons for this - from problems with injection to lack of air and dirty injectors. Less often they complain about the increased smokiness of the Santa Fe diesel 2.2.

The first thing to look for in case of increased consumption and opacity is the quality of the diesel fuel used. Try to change the gas station. As a preventive measure, flush the nozzles and plunger pairs of the injection pump with an additive. It removes tar and deposits from the working surfaces, normalizes fuel combustion, simplifies cold start, and reduces fuel consumption.

The service life of D4EB-V when using high-quality oil reaches 200-250 thousand km. It is advisable to change it not once every 15 thousand km, but every 7.5-10 thousand km. Otherwise, the system becomes clogged, oil starvation begins with accelerated wear of the rubbing surfaces. The engine is troit and does not run at full capacity.

D4HB

The diesel 2.2-liter unit produces 197 hp. with. With high mileage, it suffers from an oil burner, especially if it is irresponsible in the choice of lubricants and constantly exceeds the permissible loads. The estimated resource is the same as that of the D4EB-V - up to 250 thousand km.

For the Santa Fe II generation, different boxes were offered: four-, five-, six-speed automatic transmissions and a five-speed manual transmission. Boxes of the A6LF1 type, like their counterparts on the previous and next generations, suffer from untimely oil changes. Coupled with an aggressive driving style, this drastically reduces the resource, which has been repeatedly proven on the example of the old F4A51 box. There are jolts, kicks, crunching when switching. For restoration, you can carry out a complete defect detection with a major overhaul and replacement of worn parts. But if the wear is not yet critical, it is sufficient to use the RVS Master additive to normalize the performance characteristics. The automatic transmission is processed with the help of, for a manual transmission, a transfer case, a bridge will do. The additive for the axle and transfer case effectively eliminates the knocking, howling, hum of the bearing, prolongs the life of the all-wheel drive by building up a layer of cermets on worn-out friction surfaces. In manual transmissions, due to the use of an additive, the shift becomes clearer and smoother, the amount of noise and vibration is reduced.

Third generation Santa Fe resource

The third generation of the crossover has been produced since 2012. Available in five- and seven-seat versions. At the official dealer, the most popular were the versions with a 2.4 and 3.0 liter gasoline engine, as well as with a 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine. The diesel unit produces 200 liters. with. And gasoline engines 171 and 249 liters. with. respectively. Santa Fe engines are paired with a six-speed automatic, and their resource is in many respects comparable to their predecessors.

The quality of service has a huge impact on the safety of the Santa Fe ICE. Therefore, we recommend adding preventive treatment of the unit with the RVS Master additive to the maintenance schedule for a crossover of any generation.

For engines with an oil volume of up to 4 liters, for example, the widespread G6EA, suitable For diesel engines Santa Fe with a volume of 2.0 to 2.2 liters or. The additive will increase the resource of the power unit, reduce fuel and oil consumption, increase low compression, which has fallen due to natural wear, and will delay overhaul.

If your Santa Fe's mileage exceeds 150 thousand km, or you are purchasing a used crossover, during routine maintenance, be sure to use a flush before changing the engine oil. Its role can be played by the aforementioned additive for RVS Master Engine Ga4 oil, but it is much more profitable to use it. The composition is cheaper, it deeply cleans the working surfaces, restores the pressure in the system, and de-carbonizes the piston rings.

Note: the optimal frequency of application of additives and flushing depends on the intensity of operation, the mileage of the car. Nevertheless, all RVS Master products have a positive impact on the Santa Fe resource.

The machine is not bad for the money, especially if you choose wisely on the secondary. And most importantly, do not make your cars with the Officers - hence all the problems, I am once again convinced of this by the example of my friends, who are served there, and by my own example, I am rolling back the third car without problems. Choose a car more carefully, with a soul and some kind of comrade who knows a lot, and it will not let you down !!! I hope the review is helpful. Good luck to everyone on the road !!!

Dignity

What we liked:

1.Fuel consumption, the climate has never been turned off, there is no difference due to the diesel engine.

9-10 liters - quiet driving style, in a mixed cycle. 10 -12 liters - aggressive style in a mixed cycle. 7.8 - 8.5 liters - quiet driving style, track.

8.5 - 9.0 liters - aggressive driving style, track.

In winter, a liter is added in the city due to auto start.

2. Roomy interior and trunk, shmurdyaka can be carried just immeasurably.

3. The penny cost of spare parts and consumables.

4. Mirrors, they are just huge, visibility at a height.

5. Appearance, for an amateur of course, but I like it.

6. Well, diesel, it's generally a song, he doesn't really care how many people are sitting in the cabin and what weight they are all about. Pret is equally cheerful, plus often dragging a trailer, I always go at the head of the column, friends on gasoline are constantly lagging behind, I have to wait.

7. Clearance, immediately set the wheels higher 255 \ 60R18 summer and 235 \ 65R18 winter, increasing the already not small ground clearance to 23-24 cm. Now, wherever I want !!!

8. Stove - WARM IN THE CAR IN WINTER. I don’t know how anyone, maybe somewhere in Tyumen there is not enough stove, I had no problems.

10 minutes at auto start in frost -25, sit down food - the air is already blowing warm, after 3-5 minutes it is already comfortable. It seems to me that the problem in diesel cars is that the owners do not turn the engine to above average rpm, well, turn it up to 2500-3000 and you will be warm.

I have a friend who has a slow-moving vehicle, so it is cold for him in gasoline in winter, he does not turn the engine for more than 2000, so his heat comes in only 30-40 minutes ...

As for the bad brakes on the Santa, everything was fine at first, but then the brakes began to become wadded, and the longer the worse.

The reason for this is the caliper fingers, which begin to wedge closer to 90-100 thousand run. Regularly lubricate the caliper guides when replacing the pads. Particular attention should be paid to the front calipers, where the guides have a rubber ring at the end (I still did not understand why), so during operation everything is clogged with dirt and rust and the gum wedges everything there, and it is possible to turn the guide only in teskas. Because of this, the front brakes practically do not slow down, and only the rear brakes do all the work, and they do not cope, and even get warm.

Therefore, when replacing the pads, do not be lazy - anoint the guides.

disadvantages

What did not like:

  • Well, there is really nothing to say, probably there is not enough xenon, the halogen light on the Santa is normal
  • Well, and probably the suspension is not very conducive to active driving, although this is probably for all parquet floors, although initially the suspension is set rigidly, "like for a drive", but neither the engine nor the gearbox can, unfortunately, give any drive, like X5 for example 3.0 dizilke, for this it was necessary to insert a dizilek from IX55
