Updated Alfa Romeo Giulietta hatchback. Alfa Romeo Giulietta in Russia There are also additional options

Restyled version Alfa Romeo Giulietta appeared in 2016, the previous model was produced since 2010, it was presented at the Geneva Motor Show. This is a stylish car, it is most often considered a woman's car.

The exterior is certainly stylish and unusual; Italians know how to make cars beautiful. The front part is highlighted by oval headlights with LED elements. The small embossed hood comes down to the signature radiator grille found on, and so on.

The front bumper of the hatchback is distinguished by stylish shapes, a small air intake with inserted cameras.

On the side, the car received nondescript stylish embossed lines. The flaring of the wheel arches is slight. Pen back door made like the Hyundai Veloster. Not really unique solution, but quite stylish.

The rather aggressive rear end deceives the buyer. It seems that the car is powerful and looks menacing from the front, but it is not so. The narrow headlights are connected by stamping on the trunk lid. At the top there is a small anti-wing equipped with a stop signal repeater. The huge rear bumper is distinguished by a decorative diffuser and 2 chrome exhaust pipes.

The situation with power units has not changed much; most engines remain the same. 4 offered gasoline engines, 3 diesel and 1 gas-powered. They do not stand out with special power, but for city driving they are quite enough.

Gasoline engines Juliet

  1. The weakest gasoline engine is a turbocharged 120-horsepower internal combustion engine with a volume of 1.4 liters. It doesn’t surprise with its power, and also with its consumption, approximately 8 liters of fuel in the city.
  2. The second motor has distributed injection, it is not particularly different from the previous one. Produces 150 horsepower, dynamics have improved slightly, consumption has dropped by 1 liter.
  3. The third TB Multiair unit is also in technically no different from the previous two, 20 horsepower more power. Consumption remained the same, dynamics improved slightly.
  4. The latest gasoline engine is also the most powerful. The Quadrifoglio Verde unit is equipped with turbocharging and direct injection. With a volume of 1.7 liters, it produces 240 horsepower. The dynamics are quite good, consumption is 9 liters in the city, 5 liters on the highway.

Diesel

  1. First diesel engine JTDM produces 120 horses at 1.6 liters. There is not much power, but the consumption will please people who like to save money.
  2. The second JTDM diesel engine is a 2-liter, turbocharged engine producing 150 horsepower. It consumes about the same, but the dynamics are a little better.
  3. The latest 2-liter engine produces 175 horses. A good engine that consumes only 5 liters of diesel fuel in the city. The unit received direct injection, he accelerates the car to hundreds in 8 seconds.

The latest engine in the 2017-2018 Alfa Romeo Giulietta line is gas. In essence, this is exactly the same 120-horsepower 1.4, but converted for gas fuel.

All engines are offered paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and a robotic gearbox. All versions have front-wheel drive, no other models are offered. The suspension is MacPherson strut at the front and multi-link at the rear. In addition, steering knuckles were installed at the front. The chassis is equipped with an assistant who adjusts the suspension to the type road surface, for example wet after rain. The chassis is quite soft.

There are settings for driving modes that also change the behavior of the car, you can choose sports for drive fast, or maybe a regular one for a city one.

Salon overview

The hatchback has a pretty good interior. Free space not much, people of average build will feel fine. There are good seats with a combination of upholstery and some lateral support. Nice chairs. The back row seats only three people, the space is small, but enough. There is also a folding armrest.

As usual, let's move on to discussing the driver's seat. He will get a large 3-spoke steering column equipped with control buttons for the standard multimedia system. Quite a stylish steering wheel, adjustable in height and reach. The instrument panel has analogue sensors recessed into wells. There are also engine temperature and fuel level sensors and, of course, an on-board computer.

The dashboard panel has carbon inserts in some places; the shape itself also attracts attention. The center console of the Alpha Juliet has a small display with buttons, responsible for the multimedia and navigation system. The lower part received a separate climate control unit with 3 huge adjustment washers.

The split tunnel at the base has a control lever for suspension modes, AUX ports, etc. are located to the right. The massive gear knob fits comfortably in the hand, and a mechanical handbrake is hidden behind it. parking brake. The final part received a good armrest.

The trunk is quite large, considering the class of the car. 350 liters in normal mode, folding the rear sofa gives 1045 liters. This volume allows you to transport even a refrigerator.

Price

The model is inexpensive, the manufacturer asks 890,000 rubles for basic version. It includes:

  • Air conditioner;
  • On-board computer;
  • Standard audio system;
  • Electric power steering;
  • Central locking with remote control;
  • Electric mirror drive;
  • Heated mirrors.

Also present additional options:

  • Climate control;
  • Rain sensor;
  • Electric seats with memory function;
  • Luke or panorama;
  • Bluetooth.

By purchasing the most expensive version costing about 1,200,000 rubles, you will receive everything listed above. The cost can be even higher if you want a more powerful engine.

The car is selling poorly in Russia due to poor marketing. The manufacturer is not trying to promote it. The company's reputation also played a role. The reliability of the cars, to put it mildly, is not very good, especially after our roads.

You can consider this option as a purchase, but you should think carefully. Remember reliability. The design of the car is not bad, although this is a matter of taste. Features are better than some competitors. The model is not for racers, so young people most likely will not like it. We think the Alfa Romeo Giulietta a good option For a girl.

Video

The model we will talk about today is a compact hatchback released by the Italian manufacturer in 2010. Alfa Romeo Juliet is a bright representative of Italian sophistication, therefore the desire to speak for her appears only in the feminine gender. The model is dedicated to the centenary of the Alfa Romeo brand and was created as the older model of the Alfa Romeo MiTo. The entire Alfa Romeo model range.

Exterior

The appearance of the Italian hatchback Juliet was able to preserve design traditions car company Alfa Romeo blends well with the appearance of the 8C Competizione and the younger MiTo. The nose of the Italian is decorated with unusual lampshades of the lighting system.

The front bumper, which combines the heraldic shield of the false radiator grille and the lower fairing with massive air intakes, serves as one beautiful detail. Installed fog lights found their places on the sides. A pair of characteristic ribs are conveniently located on the hood, as if the car hints at sporting qualities.

The body has a coupe-like shape with strong pillars installed at the rear - and there is relief stamping along the entire length of the car. The rear door handle is already traditional Italian company synchronized into the glass frame. It’s interesting that if you take a quick look at the car, you get the feeling that there is only one door, but this is by no means the case - there are two.

The thing is that the Italian craftsmen were able to hide a small handle in the frame of the rear doors so neatly that it is almost unnoticeable. The back of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta has the shape of a sculpture that is frozen in metal. Everything looks so perfect that it feels like words can hardly describe it. There is also a huge bumper installed there, which is complemented by a diffuser, small door trunk with a pair of spoilers.

The most important one was installed at the junction of the roof and glass of the rear door, and the second one was in the form of a stamping at the border of the glass into the surface of the “hatch” of the luggage compartment, made of metal. The whole “show” is completed by unique light-amplifying lanterns with LED system lines. It is also interesting that the Italian car was just a few points short of winning the prestigious “European Car of the Year” nomination.

And all this is well deserved - for example, if you once again pay attention to the rear of the car, or rather to the rear lamps with a garland of LED lighting system, which has the appearance of “curls” that Juliet Capulet herself had from the world famous novel by Shakespeare. The car can be painted in 10 different color variations. Among them are the presence of white, silver, gray, dark gray, 3 red shades, blue and a couple of black ones.

Interior

The interior of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta retains the style of an elegant and sporty car that was born in Milan. The dashboard in front has an original shape, and the grippy steering wheel is upholstered in leather and adjustable for reach and tilt. On the dashboard there are wells with bright reddish lighting.

The console located in the center is divided into 3 parts: at the top there is a multimedia screen that extends, in the center there is an audio system and below it there are climate control controls. The gearshift knob is shaped like a ball, and as an additional option you can order aluminum pedals, red stitching along with the Alfa Romeo logo on many interior details - all such criteria can be traced to the Italian spirit.

The deflectors installed in the center were built into the panel, which is, in principle, quite non-standard. The seats installed in front are quite comfortable, have a bucket shape and have a sufficient range of adjustments (admittedly, the lateral support could have been made even better); three passengers can comfortably sit on the rear sofa.

The seating position in the car is quite low - which again emphasizes the desire to be sporty. Free space There may not be enough room for the legs and head only for tall passengers. In ergonomic terms, everything is acceptable, all controls are located nearby, and the interior elements feel quite pleasant. I was also pleased with the precise design of the controls.

The 120-horsepower engine provides acceleration to the first hundred in 9.4 seconds, and the top speed is set at 195 km/h. Fuel consumption ranges from 5.3 – 8.4 liters per 100 km. The 1.4-liter power unit with a manual (automatic) transmission is capable of accelerating the car to 100 km/h in 7.8 (7.7) seconds, and the top speed will be 218 km/h. This device eats a little less than its smaller brother - from 4.6 (4.3) - 7.8 (6.7) liters per hundred.

The front suspension is equipped with McPherson struts and swivel fists, and on the rear axle there is a multi-link system. Alfa Romeo Giulietta is a completely modern car and therefore has an electronic assistant Alfa DNA, which has three operating modes: Normal, Dynamic and All-weather.

The electronic system can change the characteristics of the accelerator pedal, shock absorbers, steering wheel control, brake system, ESP, differential (active differential Q2). Depending on which DNA tuning assistance is selected, the driver will receive a car with a different character, from a calm city car to a high-spirited sports car.

Driving connoisseurs will be pleased with the fact that the electronic system will intervene in control only at the most last moment, which thereby will not deprive the driver of the pleasure of feeling like one with the car. The suspension system is distinguished by the presence of elasticity and comfort, and also boldly maintains its trajectory when turning.

The steering is quite adequate and there is no nervousness. Therefore, even on road sections with poor-quality surfaces, and in the Russian Federation this is the case almost everywhere, the chassis shows excellent energy consumption.

Dimensions

If we talk about the dimensions of the Italian hatchback, they are as follows. The length of the car is 4,351 mm, the width is 1,798 mm, and the height is 1,465 mm. Wheelbase equals 2,634 mm. Ground clearance is set at 120 mm, and for cars that will be delivered to the Russian Federation this figure will be increased to 150 mm, which is very good, considering the quality of our roads.

Safety

The standard equipment of the Alfa Romeo Juliet hatchback includes various advanced driver assistance services, such as: ABS, EBD, HBA, ASR, MSR, VDC, Hill Holder, Q2. Questions about passive safety also disappear. There is a 2nd generation active head restraint, which is designed to prevent whiplash injuries, three-point seat belts with double pretensioners and load limiters, a safety pedal assembly and steering column, and 6 airbags.

Moreover, the FPS service automatically stops the fuel supply during a collision, minimizing the possibility of ignition. The car was able to achieve maximum ratings in the Euro NCAP crash test.

Restyling 2014

A group of Italian designers and engineers prepared the Alfa Romee Juliet hatchback for release in 2014. Everyone was able to see it for the first time at the car show in Frankfurt in the fall of 2013. In the Russian Federation, the sale of the new product will be handled by another dealer - Chrysler Jeep Russia National Sales Company.

The restyled version of the 2014 Juliet is very difficult to distinguish from the previous version - only the compact false radiator grille, which looks like a shield, has changed slightly, and the small eyes fog lights got a chrome frame. The dimensions of the Italian car remained the same. Among the body color options, moonlight, bright blue and bronze colors appeared.

The appearance of the light alloy wheels has been changed, designed for 16, 17 and 18 inches. In all other respects, the 2014 Alfa Romeo Giulietta looks exactly the same as its predecessor. But if we talk about the interior, there are much more changes and innovations here. The design team managed to equip the restyled car with new maps and door handles, and the range of proposed color solutions for the seat trim, the panel installed in front and other interior elements became wider.

Considering the installation of a new modernized multimedia system Uconnect with displays with a diagonal of 5 or 6.5 inches and which supports touch input, the center console has been redesigned. There is now support for USB and AUX connections, media player, iPod and iPhone and other popular brands of smartphones.

Implemented navigation system, where the image is displayed on the display with a 3D effect, which provides a view of the area from above bird's eye view. There is also a new steering wheel and a new power unit that runs on diesel fuel - it has a combustion chamber volume of 2.0 liters and produces about 150 horsepower. This engine has the best characteristics in terms of operating noise and fuel consumption.

Options and prices

The cost of Alfa Romeo Giulietta will differ in configuration and modification. There are three equipment options in total. Progression is a standard equipment that includes:

Let's sum it up

In the end, making a conclusion about the car of the Italian company Alfa Romeo Giulietta, I would like to say that there will still be debate about its design - in principle, everyone is already accustomed to the fact that some people like the appearance of Alfa Romeo cars, some don’t. Everyone will decide for themselves. But one thing is certain – the extraordinary look of the designers is still captivating.

The car looks elegant, youthful and in some places even sporty. I am glad that there is an LED lighting system and increased ground clearance for selling cars on the territory of the Russian Federation, because our roads are clearly not like in Europe. Inside Juliet, everything is in its place, intuitive and easy to read.

The quality of all parts, although not at the German level, is still distinguished by its level of finishing. I was very pleased with even the basic contents of the package. The car's safety level is also impressive and makes it worthy opponent in your class. There is a pretty good list of power units that make you feel confident on the road and when overtaking.

The engines have enough power, especially those that run on gasoline. There are a large number of various electronic systems designed to help the driver with control on the road. Of course, tall people will not be very comfortable sitting on the back sofa, as there will be discomfort in the knees and above the head.

Alphadisiac

After all, amazing people work at Alfa Romeo! They are able to create even an ordinary family hatchback in such a way that it will attract the views of others again and again. A massive radiator grille shield, camouflaged rear door handles, excitingly wavy LED taillights - it would seem that there is nothing special. But even with such simple means, the Italians managed to give “Juliet” an outfit so attractive that among her classmates she looks like a white swan surrounded by ugly ducklings.

You will say that beauty is a subjective concept, and, of course, you will be right. Yes, all these new A-classes and A-thirds, Focuses and Golfs are very nice cars. However, I admit honestly, I have not caught so many interested glances from the fair sex in any of these cars. It’s a pity that old Freud didn’t live long enough, otherwise he would probably have made “Juliet” his favorite attraction for experiments on patients. At least, my inner child was urging me to take another ride along the Baltic coast through the fashionable establishments of the Northern Riviera - let the elite admire it. “Juliet” has some strange charms that makes the blood boil and adds magnetism to the owner that is worse than any other supercar.

And who is without sin?

At first glance and inside, “Juliet” promises many charms. Just look at the elastic horseshoe-shaped switch brackets on the center console, the sporty sloping instrument clusters in a silver frame and the aluminum climate control knobs that click to the next division with such a delightful and clear click! But there are also questions. This is what, please tell me, a simple lid does here glove box, paddle shifters made of cheap plastic and a ceiling light from a FIAT-Bravo? For a brand that presents itself as a terry premium brand, such conspicuous quotes from a much more budget-friendly colleague in the concern are unacceptable. And the old-school monochrome screen of the on-board computer with red-orange backlight has long looked undignified.

The driver's seat also deserves its own complaints. Despite the impressive lateral support for the back and hips, you won’t be able to feel like a real Schumacher - the seat cushion is adjustable, but you won’t be able to lower it low enough. So you’re stuck behind the wheel like a nail. That would be fine, but this way you can see the way better. But if “Juliet” has excellent visibility forward, then back - alas. Parking astern is a real pain! Thank God, my “Juliet” had a parking assistant, but to install it, you need to pay an additional 19,718 rubles. And this is an ordinary parking sensor without any rear view cameras!

Even in the lowest position, the driving position is quite high

But bluetooth was not found in the cabin at all - and this despite the fact that there is not a single shelf in the Alpha where a smartphone could be properly placed. And how would you like to talk? There's no USB port either - I had to dust off my ancient CD folder so I wouldn't get bored on the road. Damn, for a million and a half, all this should be present by default!

Well, demanding iron logic and boring practicality from a beauty is a waste of time. Although it would be hard to call an “Italian” completely untalented in housekeeping. There is enough space in the cabin. With a height of 180 cm, I managed to sit “behind myself” without any problems. Two adult men will feel quite at ease in the “gallery”, although three of them huddling here is clearly too much. And the suitcases will probably thank you that you didn’t pack them, say, in the same “Focus”, where the trunk is 70 liters less. By the way, in the hold there are a couple of useful niches for storing small items, a hook for supermarket bags and an additional electrical outlet. So “Juliet” is quite a capable housewife. And temperamental too.

Alfa has one of the best preselective robots: TST switches gears quickly, imperceptibly and at the right time

Beauty's heart

Not a single model in the entire history of Alfa Romeo would have become a real Alfa if it did not have the most advanced power unit for its time. And “Juliet” is no exception. Its 1.4-liter “Multiair” with a capacity of 170 horsepower is a real work of art. The peculiarity of this engine is its unique electronic direct valve control system, which allows it to deliver optimal quantity air-gasoline mixture. Coupled with the correct turbine and a specially shaped camshaft, this led not only to an increase in dynamic performance, but also to a significant reduction in fuel consumption. It’s not for nothing that a couple of years ago “Multiair” received the title “Motor of the Year”!

This bundle of energy under the hood quickly takes the “Juliet” off the start, injecting a fair amount of endorphins into the driver’s brain. The engine not only spins up quickly, it also has excellent torque at the top and in the middle speed range, which turns small family car in a hot hatch. A quick-shifting 6-speed “robot” with a double dry clutch also works for exciting driving. The “smart” box is in no hurry to slow down if it senses that the owner is in the mood to rock out. She helpfully selects a lower gear, constantly remaining in the zone of maximum torque.

Giulietta is created on the C-Evo platform, which formed the basis of the FIAT Bravo, however ride quality Alfa is an order of magnitude better than the Turin car

The suspension matches this tandem: “Juliet” writes trajectories with minimal roll, while elastically swallowing asphalt bumps of almost any caliber. Perhaps no one in the golf class has such an ideal chassis balance. Bravo!

However, it is worth mentioning that all Alfas are now equipped with a sophisticated DNA system that regulates suspension stiffness, engine power, gas pedal response speed, fuel consumption and steering settings. So the “Italian” can boast of such agility only in the “Dynamic” mode. “Normal” will take away 30 Nm of torque and weaken the sensitivity of the accelerator pedal. For me, these are the optimal settings - there are quite enough reserves for city maneuvers and even overtaking on the highway, but not so sharp reactions to the steering wheel will allow you to relax a little. In the “all-weather” mode, “Juliet” even walks on tiptoes, here pressing the “slipper to the floor” is simply pointless - the electronic collar will stifle all attempts to spin the engine in the fight for safe driving in rain or snow. And it saves gasoline. Although driving an Alpha in such a way as to save fuel is absurd!

The furnishings in the rear part of the cabin are very simple: the sofa doesn’t even have an armrest, although it simply has to be in a car that costs so much money

Position in society

The issue of price for Alfa Romeo has always been and remains fundamental. It would seem that the entry price tag of 899,000 rubles makes the Juliet quite competitive among compact premium hatchbacks. But for that amount of money you will get a rather dull car with a 120-horsepower engine “on hand” - and even without “music”. The optimal version will be the top version “Exclusive”, which will cost 1,195,000 rubles. But even in this case, to correspond to today's living wage premium class, you will want to add something to it. For example, navigation (RUB 86,721), xenon headlights (RUB 45,644), leather interior(RUB 68,466) and electric seats (RUB 46,100). And here the price of “Alpha” is already approaching one and a half million. This is more expensive than even the more prestigious Stuttgart C-class and Bavarian “three rubles”. In general, there is something to think about. True, Alfa Romeo fans, as you know, choose with their hearts. But love is more valuable than money, isn’t it?

The trunk has an electrical outlet, a hook for bags, luggage loops and a couple of niches for small items.

There is no third

Juliet buyers will have to choose from two powertrain options: a 120 hp engine. With. paired with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 170-horsepower and 6-speed TST robot. There is no third. Russians have access to neither two excellent diesel engines, so beloved by Europeans for their efficiency, nor the most incendiary version of the Quadro-Folio with a 235 hp turbo engine. With. Alas and ah!

The strategy for developing the brand in Russia is also unclear. Chrysler Rus has been appointed as the official importer, but there is no clear information about the start of deliveries to Russia. They promise the appearance of five dealership centers in different cities, but for now “Juliet” can officially only be purchased at Alfa-Centro, which is located in St. Petersburg.

Glorious blood

The first “Juliet” with the prefix “Sprint” was born in 1954 in the form of a coupe, which was created by the famous designer Giuseppe “Nuccio” Bertone. The car was produced for eight years - until 1962. However, a year after production was stopped, the model was returned to the assembly line for another year - the demand for this beauty was so great. In the next two generations, “Juliet” was produced as a sedan until 1985. And the current - already fourth - incarnation as a 5-door hatchback appeared in 2010.

+ Bright appearance; perfectly tuned chassis; non-trivial image

- High price; low liquidity; modest choice of power units

Review of the new Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017: exterior, interior, specifications, parameters, configurations, security systems, price. At the end of the article there is a photo and video review of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta.

Review content:

Alfa Romeo cars have been known for many years, many of them have lived for more than a dozen years and more than one generation. An example of this is the new Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017; the first generation was presented back in 1954 at the automobile exhibition in Turin. Then 132,000 copies were produced at the Portello plant in Millan, despite demand significantly exceeding supply.

Today, the Italian manufacturer specializes not only in coupes and sedans, but also presented modern hatchbacks and crossovers in its arsenal. The latest generation of Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017, at first glance, this car is made as a two-door hatchback, but in fact it is a 5-door version, the designers hid the rear row of doors, disguising the handle and the gap along the contour.

Exterior of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 hatchback

The appearance of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 fully speaks of its Italian origin; in fact, the designers did not try to move away from the usual style. Often, when naming the make of a car, a car enthusiast immediately thinks good car it is or not. In the case of Alfa Romeo, the situation is completely different; one immediately remembers the unusual features of the body and where this car was previously seen. On the Russian market, just like on the country's roads, the car is not common, but it is almost impossible to confuse it with other brands.

Despite the many generations of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017, the designers made the latest one as similar as possible to one of the first models produced in the 50s of the last century. This can be judged by the front of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 hatchback. As in the first model, new hatchback received a triangular radiator grille with the classic company logo at the top. Depending on the configuration, the central insert can be mesh or with horizontal stripes, and the edging will also be black or chrome. It is worth noting that, despite modern technologies, the body parts are not imitated with plastic, but are made of real materials, including high-quality chrome.

The front optics of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 hatchback are oval, slightly narrowed at the bottom. Optics also includes modern technologies, the main part is allocated for lenses of near and high beam, the part closer to the grille is occupied by LED daytime running lights running lights. At the buyer’s request, a chrome edging can be added to the optics, but the option is not very popular among buyers, since the familiar appearance of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 is immediately lost.

Most of the front of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 is occupied by an unusual bumper, which also serves as the protection of the car and at the same time, the entire main part of the security systems and sensors is attached to it. The lower part of the front bumper of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 includes an additional radiator grille, although it plays the main part for cooling the engine, as well as round fog lights on the sides of the hatchback with a cornering light function.

The hood of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 hatchback is very reminiscent of the first generation. Two lines stretch from the central radiator grille to the A-pillars, raising the center of the hood. Two more bends stretch from the optics to the stands. As for the windshield of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017, in the basic version it is hardened, and in the top version, heating is added in the area where the windshield wipers are parked.

The side part of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 has changed and is made in modern style. A wavy line stretches from the front optics to the rear stops. The front fender of the hatchback is decorated with a turn signal, as well as a chrome plated model nameplate. The front door handle was placed at the same level; as for the rear door handle, the designers hid it in the corner of the rear door glass, however, this did not in any way affect the functionality and comfort of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 hatchback.

The rear view mirrors on the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 hatchback have received a more sporty shape with good review than the usual oval version. The upper part of the mirror housing can be painted to match the body color or with a chrome trim. As standard, the mirrors are electronically adjusted and automatically folded; additionally, heating can be installed. The lower part of the doors of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 does not stand out with special features; at the buyer’s request, the bottom can be flat or with small plastic moldings.

The body of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 hatchback can be painted in:

  • silver;
  • black;
  • bright red;
  • bronze;
  • light gray;
  • white;
  • metallic gray;
  • metallic blue;
  • dark grey;
  • black metallic;
  • burgundy.
The main body colors are considered to be red and black; for other shades of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017, the buyer must pay extra from 17,000 rubles to 28,000 rubles, which plays a significant role in the overall cost of the hatchback.

From behind, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 hatchback speaks volumes about sporting character. Tilted rear window with a small spoiler in which an LED stop repeater was mounted. A windshield wiper is installed at the bottom of the glass; depending on the selected configuration, it can be the most ordinary one or with a built-in intelligent system that can independently decide when to turn it on.

The trunk lid of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 is small, with quite a large step for loading cargo. The LED rear lights stand out no less, part of which is located on the body, and the second part on the trunk lid itself. According to the owners, the brightness of the stops is excellent and is clearly visible in any weather. Also on the trunk lid of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017, the designers placed the company emblem and a nameplate with the name of the model.

What attracts the most attention is the rear bumper of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 hatchback. The designers made it in a sporty style with a well-defined rear diffuser. In the very center of the bumper they made a small recess for license plates, and rectangular LED fog lights were placed on the sides. The very bottom will be decorated with chrome exhaust tips.

The last exterior detail of the 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulietta worth considering is the roof. The hatchback comes standard with an electric sunroof, top option acquired a large panorama, with a sliding front part. The rear part of the roof is decorated with a conventional whip antenna, although for this class of car and for such a price it would be possible to install a more modern one in the form of a shark fin.

Well, from the general exterior of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 hatchback, we can conclude that the design is soft and unusual at first glance, since many manufacturers make the appearance rough and strict. Otherwise, the shapes and proportions are well calculated, but there is a minus. The use of high-quality, expensive materials played an insidious role on the cost of the hatchback, and accordingly, the demand for such a model is not maximum.

Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 hatchback interior

The interior of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 hatchback will be no less impressive. Not to say that there are a huge number of buttons or touch details on the front panel, but the design itself, inserts and arrangement of devices are unique and not repeated by other car brands.

The upper part of the front panel of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 is divided into several levels. The very top is reserved for a raised plane; in its center there is a compartment for small items and a mobile phone, as well as two directed air ducts to the windshield. The end part of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 panel was made slightly inclined to make it comfortable and stylish. Here on the panel there are two directional air ducts for the hatchback interior and a 5" color touchscreen display of the multimedia system. To highlight the main part of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 panel, it was highlighted with a black plastic insert. If desired, it can be covered in leather to match the color of the interior.

Below the center console is a dual-zone climate control panel, with small monochrome displays in the center of the selectors. The panel around the gear lever of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 was also not spared. A selector for adjusting the suspension, a USB port, a slot for an SD card and an AUX input were located here. Between the front seats of the hatchback there is a mechanical handbrake, a small armrest and a cigarette lighter.

As for the seats of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017, for the most part they are of a sporty type, with good lateral support, a high backrest and headrests with a slight forward tilt. The lower part of the seat also received lateral support and a more extended central part. The second row of seats in the 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulietta is designed to seat three passengers, with three separate headrests. The central part of the backrest is decorated with an armrest with two cup holders. According to the type of adjustment, the front seats can be mechanical or electronic drive, including adjustment in the lumbar region.

As a material for seat upholstery, manufacturers used the most different materials: fabric, leather and Alcantara or a combination of them. This is another reason for the considerable cost of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 hatchback. The color of the fabric will be black, black-brown or gray, as well as a combination of them. The leather interior trim of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 is more varied:

  1. burgundy;
  2. tobacco;
  3. black;
  4. beige;
  5. grey.
For leather upholstery, the buyer will need to pay an additional 73,000 rubles; the central part of the seats will be perforated, but the side parts will be solid. The driver's seat of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 hatchback is interesting in its own way. The instrument panel, like many interior details, is highlighted with chrome trim and details. The usual upper protective part is an order of magnitude smaller than the cylindrical protection for the speedometer and tachometer. The center of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 instrument panel is allocated for a monochrome display of the on-board computer, as well as a fuel and engine temperature sensor.

Immediately on the left near the instrument panel there are buttons for controlling the hatchback's security systems. The Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 steering wheel, like the seats, is made in a sporty D-shape. The lower part is flattened, the steering wheel has three spokes in total, functional buttons for controlling the hatchback systems are located on the two side ones, and the lower part is decorated with a triangular, silver insert.

The designers used high-quality leather with highlighted stitching as the steering wheel trim. The steering wheel can be adjusted in height and depth, and for greater convenience, gear shift paddles are located behind the steering wheel.

Not to say that the interior of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 hatchback is distinguished by a large range of comfort and control systems. But we can talk about the Italian build quality and cladding materials. For an additional fee, inserts made of carbon fiber, natural wood of expensive species, or polished aluminum can be installed around the perimeter of the interior.

For the Russian market, the manufacturer equipped the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 with only 1.4 Turbo units for 120 horsepower and 1.4 TP MultiAir for 170 hp. Despite their power and volume, the units are moderately economical, even with the Start/Stop function. When you have completely stopped or stopped at a traffic light, the system automatically turns off or starts the engine. The body is quite well made, the engineers have worked to improve maneuverability and dynamic characteristics, which allows you to feel the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 well both in the city and on the highway.

The suspension of the Italian hatchback Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 is not particularly different from modern cars of this class. At the front there is an independent McPherson type, at the rear there is an independent multi-link. The braking system could still be improved; the manufacturer installed ventilated disc brakes at the front and regular disc brakes at the rear.

Safety and comfort of Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017

The safety of the Italian hatchback Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 is simple but reliable. Buyers have repeatedly spoken about the good safety of both the body and the systems as a whole. The manufacturer included a standard safety kit and more modern comfort systems:
  • ABS, EBD;
  • emergency braking system;
  • directional stability system;
  • downhill start assist system;
  • front and side airbags;
  • curtain airbags;
  • immobilizer;
  • seat belt warning light;
  • tire pressure monitoring;
  • Start/Stop engine control system (turns on or off when the car is idle);
  • Cruise control;
  • remote control from the console;
  • light and rain sensors;
  • electronic headlight adjustment;
  • outside temperature sensor;
  • navigation;
  • all-round viewing system;
  • central locking;
  • parking sensors
According to the manufacturer, new arrivals of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 hatchback will be equipped with more modern systems, while promising minimal changes in the price of the car. In terms of safety, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 can also be noted for its modified body, in keeping with the traditions of the Italian sports car. Due to the use of lightweight materials, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 shows good results both on the highway and in the city.

Besides standard configurations, the manufacturer offers a variety of packages for the 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulietta, including a sports package. It includes sports seats with a monolithic backrest, a modified suspension with stiffer springs and power steering. The manufacturer also offers installation in Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 additional systems safety, both active and passive.

The body type of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 is a hatchback, but its character is Italian, sport car. Still, technical improvements and expensive interior upholstery materials did not play the best role in the price of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017. Today, the hatchback remains more rare car, rather than in demand by buyers, and besides, the design is rather an acquired taste. This is the reason why you don't often see the Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2017 on the road.

The Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Roman Colosseum, Italian wine, the love story of Romeo and Juliet... the impeccably designed Alfa Romeo Giulietta - all this is Italy. This series of associations is quite natural, because the great ancient Italian artists, sculptors, architects, modern clothing couturiers and car designers are the personification of the standard of artistic taste.

Alfa Romeo Giulietta is a bright representative of Italian style, I want to talk about it only in the feminine gender. She saw the light on Geneva Motor Show in the spring of 2010. The 21st century Giulietta's design echoes the 1954 Giulietta Sprint coupe - the dream of many modern car collectors.

The exterior of the Giulietta continues the design traditions of Alfa Romeo and echoes the appearance of the 8C Competizione and the younger MiTo. The front part of the Alfa Romeo Juliet is decorated with “living” lighting eyes. The bumper, which combines the heraldic shield of the false radiator grille and the lower fairing with huge air intakes, is a single beautiful element. The hood with two characteristic ribs is a hint of sportiness. Coupe-shaped body with powerful rear pillars decorated with relief stamping along the entire length of the car. The rear door handle is Alfa-style integrated into the glass frame. Juliet's stern - a sculpture frozen in metal - is so perfect that everything said in words seems insufficiently expressive. The dimensions of the Italian beauty are 4351 mm in length, 1798 mm in width, 1465 mm in height, the base is 2634 mm.

The interior of the Giulietta continues the spirit of elegance and sportiness of the car born in the world design capital of Milan. The front dashboard is of an original shape, the grippy steering wheel is covered in leather, and the instrument wells attract the eye with bright red lighting. The ball-shaped gearshift knob, optional aluminum pedals, red stitching and the Alfa Romeo logo on visible interior elements - Italian style throughout. The front seats are comfortable and have a sufficient range of adjustments (although the lateral support could be stiffer); three people can sit comfortably in the back.

Legroom and headroom may not be enough for tall people. Ergonomics are acceptable, everything is at hand, tactilely pleasant materials, precise cut of the controls. Although the build quality does not reach the German representatives, the Giulietta has the most solid interior among Alfa Romeos.
By the way, the trunk volume is 350 liters.

Stylish design and comfortable interior are just the packaging, what is hidden under the Giulietta wrapper? In terms of technical characteristics, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta is designed to satisfy the needs of true lovers of the brand. The sports hatchback is equipped with five units: two turbocharged diesel engines: 1.6 JTDM (105 hp) and 2.0 JTDM (170 hp) and three turbocharged petrol engines: 1.4 TB (120 hp .), 1.4 TB Multiair (170 hp) and 1,750 TB (235 hp) for the exclusive Alfa Romeo Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde.
All engines are paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. According to Alfa Romeo representatives, robotic gearboxes with two clutches will soon appear. The front suspension is MacPherson strut with steering knuckles, the rear is multi-link. As befits a modern car, the Giulietta is equipped with an electronic assistant in the form of the Alfa DNA system (on all Alfa Romeo Juliets without exception), which has three operating modes: Normal, Dynamic and All-weather. Electronics changes the characteristics of the accelerator pedal, shock absorbers, steering, brake system, ESP, differential (active differential Q2).

Depending on the settings selected using DNA, the owner of an Alfa Romeo Giulietta receives a car with different characters, from the calm urban average to the badass from the track. Real drivers will be pleased that the electronics intervene in control only at the very last moment - without depriving the driver of the pleasure of feeling like one with the car. The suspension is elastic and comfortable, confidently holding its trajectory in corners. Steering response is adequate, without nervousness. A nice bonus from Alfa Romeo - even on roads with poor surfaces, the chassis demonstrates high energy consumption.

In the fall of 2012, it became known that the Giulietta would be officially sold in Russian market. Although previously Russians were in no hurry to buy Alfa Romeo - in 2009, only 104 cars from Milan found homes in Russia. And global sales at 111,000 units are a drop in the ocean of the modern car market. The likely reasons for the failure of Alfa Romeo in the Russian market can be attributed to insufficient marketing efforts and the mediocre workmanship inherent in modern Alfas, which becomes especially noticeable during operation on domestic roads.

But, nevertheless, the price for the Alfa Romeo Giulietta in Russia has been announced - from 899,000 rubles (for the “junior” configuration with a 1.4-liter 120-horsepower engine and 6-speed manual transmission). A more powerful version (1.4 liters with a power of 170 hp with a robotic “box”) Alfa Romeo Juliet is offered at a price of 1 million 60 thousand rubles. Well, the “top-end configuration” of the hatchback is offered for 1 million 195 thousand rubles.
