This article discusses the fuses of Renault Megane 2 sedan, hatchback, station wagon 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 model year with gasoline (K4J, K4M, F4R) and diesel (F4R) engines. Most of the vehicle's electrical power supply circuits are protected fuses. Powerful current consumers are connected via relays. Fuses and relays are installed in mounting blocks that are located in the vehicle interior and engine compartment.
Where is the fuse box located?
The fuses are installed in the mounting block inside the car. It is located in the lower left part of the instrument panel on the driver's side and is closed with a cover (see figure).
The cover shows the location of the fuses

3. Take out battery
4. Unscrew and remove bolt B securing the switching unit and move switching unit A aside.
All electronic system in the car is protected by fuses, thanks to which all equipment is reliably protected from electrical faults and various overloads. It often happens that one of the systems stops working, the reason for this is usually the failure of one of the fuses, and it needs to be changed.
If we look at the Renault Megane 2 fuse box, it is located in two places, one in the car on the driver’s side, the second in engine compartment.

To gain access to the elements located in the cabin, simply unscrew all the latches and remove the plastic cover.
You can understand where each device is located using a diagram. Most often the fuses that fail are responsible for:
- Heating system
- Air conditioner
- stove
- Radio tape recorder
- Cigarette lighter
The first three devices are responsible for the safety parts marked 30, and the part itself with the number SP3, so it will be difficult to confuse it with another.
The safety element responsible for most devices has the number BCP3, and its cell is No. 25. Near it there is a relay that is responsible for all electrical equipment in the cabin, has the designation BP77 with cell 20. The element responsible for the power windows, headlight washers, and standard head unit has the values SP2 with cell number 10.

Renault Megane 2 fuses located under the hood are responsible for:
- Electronic systems
- External lighting
- Engine electrical equipment
Located this block under the hood with right side. You can also understand which element is responsible for what using a diagram.
- Gasoline pump, No. 5, yellow. If the engine starts and then immediately stalls, but the starter works normally, then most likely the problem is with the standard fuel pump.
- Starter, No. 30, the part itself is white
- Lighting, part 10A, cell No. 1-4. In case it stops working parking lights, or near and high beam headlights, then you should first check the condition of these fusible elements, and if they burn out, change them as soon as possible.
To summarize, we can conclude that the Renault Megane fuse diagram will help you understand which element is located where and what is responsible. Thanks to it, you can produce everything without any problems. renovation work on one's own.
Functioning of each vehicle depends not only on the health of the engine, but also on the functionality of the fuses. One way or another, but the electrical circuit plays important role in car operation. In this article we will tell you about what functions the Renault Megane 2 fuses perform, where the block is located and how it is replaced.

What are fuses and why are they needed?
What are fuses? What are they needed for? Where is the fuse block (FB) located? These questions came to the mind of every Renault car owner. Now we will try to answer these questions briefly. These elements are designed to open electrical circuit when the current in it increases sharply.
In more understandable terms, power supply components are necessary in order to protect the devices of the electrical equipment system from damage due to a short circuit or circuit overload. That is, if a problem suddenly arises in the circuit and a short circuit occurs, then the fuse will fail first, and then perhaps the device itself.
The fuse, as they say, takes the entire blow. And for good reason, because it is cheaper to purchase this element if it fails than to buy new power windows, mirrors, etc.
Location and diagram of power supply unit
In addition, the cars of the French manufacturer have another power supply unit, which is installed in the engine compartment. Its circuit will also be described below. Despite the same location of the power supply, the circuits in both car models differ from each other, so we will consider their description separately.

Removal and replacement process
So let's get started:
- First, open the hood and disconnect the terminals from the battery. If this is not done, dismantling the power supply can have dire consequences for the car.
- You will see the power supply located on the right side in the engine compartment. You need to unscrew the screws that secure the battery and remove it. Also unscrew the power supply cover. All bolts that need to be unscrewed are indicated in red in the photo.
- Using a 10mm wrench, unscrew the nut and remove the clamp with the bundle of wires.
- Now you need to unscrew the screws that secure the power supply directly.
- Having done this, the device can be dismantled.
