Years passed, the first generation was replaced by the second (in 2002), the third (in 2007), and in 2012 the last generation appeared. True, since 2012 it has undergone several changes, but conceptually Forester has remained the same: a large station wagon with off-road manners.

The fact that the car can drive not only outside the city is noticeable even from the outside. Forester does not look too high, but the ground clearance is decent - 22 cm. And the short overhangs without the fashionable front "lip" hanging down to the ground are also made for a reason. Despite the fact that the Forester is a purely family car, it is impossible to hide its breed. Therefore, in addition to checking the engine lubrication on both boxers, it is necessary to clean the engine and air conditioning radiators, which are very close to each other, every year. The procedure is not cheap - about 10,000 rubles. with the removal of parts. On both engines, sometimes, at 60,000 km, oil can leak from under the timing chain cover. The lid is placed on a sealant.

The service life of the drive belt directly depends on the operating conditions and "lives" on average 50,000-80,000 km.
