Why does the Ermak trimmer not develop full power? Adjusting the carburetor of lawn mowers and trimmers. Final adjustment of a carburetor chainsaw

Trimmer malfunction:
The edges on the trimmer drive shaft licked (I had to buy a new shaft).

“Licked” because the shaft splines at the top are not engaged over their entire length (it happens that the shaft only engages a few millimeters at the end). At the bottom, the shaft enters the gearbox its entire length under its own weight.

At the first time The trimmer must be checked and made so that the shaft fits into the clutch at the top for the entire length of the splines (or edges, if they are square). To do this, try to put the gearbox higher on the pipe, having first loosened its fastening, or try to push the pipe deeper into the shock absorber, having first loosened its fastening. If the shaft splines still do not fit the entire length into the clutch, then you need to shorten the pipe (cut off a part) to the length necessary for the splines to fully fit into the clutch.

Warning: Just don’t overdo it with cutting the pipe (it’s better to cut off a smaller piece), because if the shaft turns out to be longer and needs to be cut, then when the shaft splines heat up, the metal will release, i.e. the hardened metal will become soft and will not last long (the shaft itself is made of alloy steel).

P.S. If the shaft has already been “licked”, then simply turn it over - install the shaft with the top splines down into the gearbox and do what is described in Do-it-yourself trimmer repair.

Trimmer repair: how to stop lubricant leaking from the gearbox

Trimmer malfunction:
Where does the grease go from the trimmer gearbox ( Chinese trimmer, instead of a plug, I screwed a grease fitting and a syringe into the gearbox).

Cause of trimmer malfunction:
Solid oil under pressure pressed through the sealed bearings of the gearbox. During operation, liquid hot lubricant, driven by rapidly rotating bevel gears (in a small volume of the gearbox housing), “flies out” either into the driver cartridge if the sealed bearing rings on the driven shaft are pressed, or upward into the pipe body if the sealed bearing rings on the drive shaft are pressed gearbox

Replace the bearings (or the entire gearbox) at a service center and continue to use special lubricant for trimmer gearbox (eg Husqvarna).

Advice: Chinese lawn mowers have a small hole for adding lubricant to the gearbox, so it would be more convenient to take the lubricant from the branded tube into a medical syringe (without a needle), and then add lubricant from it to the gearbox.

Repair of trimmer Husqvarna 333R

Husqvarna 333R for 3.5 active seasons commercial exploitation(required replacement):

Note: I read somewhere that the operating time two-stroke engines failure - no more than 500 hours, and in 3.5 seasons I burned ~370 liters of gasoline, i.e. if 0.35 l. per hour, then the operating time is already more than 1000 hours! The Husqvarna 333R trimmer is a very reliable trimmer (petrol mower).

Note: Please write in the comments what you think about this trimmer repair.

Petrol trimmer repair: how to replace gear bearings

Trimmer malfunction: Tell me how to disassemble the gearbox on the trimmer to replace the bearing (Husqvarna). And does he even understand?

Answer: The gearbox of the Husqvarna lawn mower can be disassembled to change spare parts such as bearings, bevel gear transmission, housing (since the gearbox assembly for the Husqvarna trimmer costs about $150.)
You need to remove it by loosening the tightening bolts at the bottom, be sure to wash it (for example, with gasoline), then use round nose pliers to bring the ends of the locking spacer ring together (there are two of them on the gearbox) and pull out the bearings with a small puller. They should go easily, since the upper bearing is no longer pulled together by the housing, but comes out from the lower one drive shaft Husqvarna trimmer.

Trimmer repair: how to restore the thread in the spark plug hole of the cylinder

Trimmer malfunction: The spark plug is very difficult to screw in.

Cause of malfunction: The thread is damaged spark plug hole cylinder due to the fact that the spark plug did not follow the thread when screwing it into the cylinder, or sand got on the threaded part of the spark plug, or the thread was torn off by a large force on the key.

If the spark plug is not screwed in deeply, then you can drive the threads in the cylinder with a tap of the appropriate size, then screw in a new spark plug and tighten it with a force of 32-33 N*m. If the spark plug does not turn, then everything is fine, but the next time you turn the spark plug out, you need to be especially careful. If the spark plug turns, you will have to install a bushing (repair sleeve). To do this, it is better to contact a repair shop for chainsaws and gasoline trimmers. There is necessary tool and qualified personnel to select and purchase (or manufacture) a spark plug repair bushing suitable for your spark plug, then properly disassemble the engine, drill the spark plug hole to the exact required diameter, and cut the appropriate threads in the cylinder. Then rinse everything and blow off any chips, screw the spark plug into the bushing, apply thread sealant or cold welding to the threads of the bushing, screw the spark plug together with the bushing into the prepared hole, dry it, assemble everything, start it and adjust it. Another option is to replace the engine cylinder. Repairing a lawn mower yourself is similar to repairing a trimmer.

Advice: The main thing when installing a spark plug is that you first need to tighten the spark plug a few turns BY HAND, and then take the key. If the spark plug comes out easily by hand, it means it is installed correctly and can be tightened with a tool (a spark plug wrench with a knob). If the spark plug does not want to be twisted by hand, you should not tighten it with force with a wrench, since the spark plug did not follow the thread and inevitably damage the threads in the spark plug hole of the cylinder and you will need expensive repairs trimmer engine.

Repairing a lawn mower: how to cut and change the gasket under the carburetor

Trimmer malfunction:
Cold engine trimmer with the carburetor air damper closed, it starts almost normally, operates at inflated idle speed, when the engine heats up, unstable operation is observed, after which the trimmer engine suddenly stalls. The malfunction of a lawn mower is the same as that of a trimmer.

Cause of malfunction: Air leakage under the trimmer carburetor gasket due to loose carburetor mounting or frequent removal/installation of the carburetor.

Make a new trimmer carburetor gasket from thin paronite (up to 0.8 mm thick) or thick cardboard. How to make a carburetor gasket: cut out a piece of thin paronite or thick cardboard a little larger than the future finished gasket, spread seat on the cylinder or carburetor with oil or grease, carefully apply the prepared piece for the gasket so that a clear imprint of the grease remains on it (the outline of the future gasket). Then cut out the middle with a small sharp narrow chisel on a heavy metal lining (for example, an anvil), cut out the holes with a special head from a set of suitable diameter, and cut the outer part with scissors. As an option, apply paronite or cardboard to the cylinder seat, just do not move it, tap the edges with a mallet, and knock out the holes with a ball from the bearing, but there is a risk of damaging the edges. The first option is how to make the carburetor gasket better. That's it, the trimmer carburetor gasket is ready. Do-it-yourself trimmer repair in in this case similar to repairing a trimmer.

Trimmer repair: how to replace gears and bearings in the trimmer gearbox

Trimmer malfunction: Trimmer gearbox - hum, grinding, squeaking and other noises in the lower part of the trimmer, jamming when turning and the driven shaft is loose. The malfunction of a lawn mower is the same as that of a trimmer.

Cause of malfunction: The trimmer gearbox bearings have failed due to overheating of the gearbox, lack of lubrication in the gearbox housing, impact of the trimmer knife on a stationary object, and long-term (many years) active use.

Replacing the bearings in the trimmer gearbox yourself (you need keys to remove the gearbox; pliers to remove the retaining rings and disassemble the gearbox; gasoline to wash all the insides to troubleshoot the parts; new trimmer gearbox bearings for replacement) or replace the gearbox bearings in a workshop. If only one trimmer gearbox bearing is destroyed, both bearings still need to be replaced. Or, as an option, replacing the trimmer gearbox assembly - select the gearbox to match the diameter of the pipe onto which it will be clamped and along the splines drive shaft(square, star, hexagon). Repairing a lawn mower yourself is similar to repairing a trimmer.
PS: After replacing the bearings in the trimmer gearbox or replacing the gearbox assembly, do not forget to fill the gearbox housing with lubricant (need good lubrication, for example Husqvarna) through a special hole in the gearbox housing from a tube of lubricant or from a syringe (without a needle) if the filling hole is very small.

Repairing a lawn mower: how to restore functionality to a broken starter spring

Trimmer malfunction: When trying to start the engine, the trimmer starter cord stopped returning to the starter housing. The malfunction of a lawn mower is the same as that of a trimmer.

Cause of malfunction: The end of the spring in the trimmer starter jumped out and the pulley jammed.

Disassemble the starter, drill a hole where there is a recess to fix the end of the spring, thread a wire, insert the spring, lay one turn, tie the wire thus fixing the spring end that has jumped out, lay all the turns of the spring, bend the end of the spring inward to engage with the groove on the other part. Then place the washer, spring, part with two antennae, tighten the central screw, insert the cord through the hole, tie a washer at the end to secure the end of the cord, lay the cord, check the operation of the starter and the return of the cord to the trimmer starter housing. Repairing a lawn mower yourself is similar to repairing a trimmer.

Trimmer maintenance using the Husqvarna 333R as an example to prevent trimmer repairs

THAT. We use trimmers (gasoline mowers) to:

  • in the heat and under any load, the trimmer engine did not overheat;
  • ensure precise adjustment of the carburetor and, accordingly, optimal operation of the lawn mower engine;
  • identify possible defects, fuel leaks and other malfunctions to avoid trimmer repair;
  • promptly change the spark plug, unreliable bolts, gaskets and other consumables;
  • so that the trimmer (mower) has a good appearance;
  • so as not to carry the trimmer to service center.

THAT. We carry out the Husqvarna trimmer after rolling out every 40 - 60 liters. gasoline

(depending on heat, dust and severity of work).

Servicing the trimmer air filter

I wash the air filter after the engine is rolled out every 20 liters of gasoline and before repairing the trimmer or servicing the trimmer.

To service the air filter, you need to: remove the foam rubber element of the air filter and wash it with soap in clean and warm water, wring it out and dry it (or replace it if the foam filter element is old or damaged).

Note: The air filter can be “washed” more often to prevent a drop in power, increased consumption fuel, starting difficulties, as well as unnecessary wear and tear on the lawnmower engine.

Note: If you adjust the trimmer carburetor with a dirty air filter, then after cleaning the air filter, more air will flow into the engine and fuel mixture will become much poorer, which will lead to bad work or even engine breakdown and, as a result, trimmer repair.

Preparing for trimmer maintenance and repair

  • provide (purchase and dilute) the usual fuel mixture for the operation of your trimmer (for example, A-95 “Mustang” gasoline from a WOG gas station and two-stroke oil Husqvarna, in a ratio of 1:50) and leave 1.5 liters of clean (without oil) gasoline for washing engine parts;
  • buy a new spark plug: only Champion RCJ6Y - according to the manufacturer's instructions Husqvarna;
  • prepare water-washing supplies for T.O. and trimmer repair (~7);
  • prepare petrol-washing supplies (~5);
  • buy the necessary Husqvarna bolts and screws to repair the brush cutter (new fasteners);
  • prepare thin paronite for the gasket under the carburetor of the trimmer, round fishing line 2.7-3 mm, gear lubricant, clamps, fuel filter;
  • Ensure good lighting, cleanliness and workplace for repair of the trimmer (baking tray for laying out parts and spare parts, stand for the motor, lining for keys and tools);
  • ensure personal performance (if necessary);
  • allocate one free day specifically for maintenance and repair of the trimmer (petrol mower).

Beginning trimmer maintenance and repair

  1. Add grease to the trimmer gearbox. Remove the metal blade or trimmer head and clean the driver cartridge inside of any grease and soil.
  2. Wash everything on the steering wheel, everything on the bar and both protections with warm water and a brush (the protections of lawn mowers, as a rule, become heavily “overgrown” with a dried mixture of soil and grass juice, so it is advisable to clean the plastic protections with a metal brush, and then with washing powder and a brush. Rinse and dry everything.
  3. Inspect everything on the trimmer for cracks, bends, abrasions, distortions, tears (especially metal blades at the base of the teeth and at the holes and both protections). Reliably eliminate all faults identified on the brush cutter. Remember! – the thickness of the metal is calculated on a computer, therefore fasteners must be tightened only in a service center using a special fastener tightening card with torque wrench. If you do the tightening of the fasteners yourself, then do not overtighten! Because when the gearbox (for example, a gearbox) is heated up strongly in the heat with a heavy load, the metal expands, and there is little thickness reserve and the housing may burst (crack).
  4. Install a trimmer head (T-35) with a cord of 2.7 mm or 3 mm of standard length (up to the cutting knife in additional protection) to load the engine to adjust the high speed needle, that is, the left carburetor trim screw.
  5. Rinse and drain the fuel from the tank into a bottle.

Disassembling the Husqvarna 333R trimmer (procedure for disassembling the engine for maintenance and trimmer repair

1. Remove muffler cover- one bolt.

2. Turn the trimmer over on the table and remove metal pan(three screws).

3. Remove block starter(this is the air intake of the trimmer engine cooling system) - three screws and two rubber bands!

4. Unfasten the air filter cover and remove cylinder cover(she directs cold air per cylinder) - one bolt.

5. Unscrew the three bolts in air filter housing(one short and two long).

6. Carefully disconnect throttle cable from the carburetor.

7. Inspect so far everything is dirty - the carburetor on the trimmer and its gaskets, hoses, tank, plug for fuel leakage (cracking and leaks).

8. Remove fuel tank with two hoses (disconnected very carefully with a screwdriver) and four support rubber bands (do not lose them).

9. Remove carburetor Zama C1Q complete with air filter housing and gasket.

10. Use a screwdriver to remove choke button(you need to make a mark there for subsequent installation).

11. Turn the carburetor on the trimmer, remove it from the air damper rod on the body and then from the other rod.

12. In the new spark plug Champion RCJ6Y (for Husqvarna) set the gap to 0.5 mm.
Unscrew the old spark plug and install a new spark plug into the trimmer cylinder!
(the old candle - either throw it away immediately, or clean it, set the gap and prepare to wash it in order to hide it in storage).

Note: Due to carbon deposits on the spark plug electrodes: interruptions in engine operation occur (the trimmer engine malfunctions), a drop in power occurs, and the engine may not start easily.

Note: Carbon deposits on the electrodes of the spark plug are formed due to incorrect adjustment of the trimmer carburetor, if there is a lot of oil in gasoline and when it is dirty air filter on the trimmer.

13. Disconnect shock absorber cap(two side screws).

14. Disconnect barbell from the motor (three end bolts).

15. Remove from the front clutch cover(three end bolts) and inspect the condition of the drum, bearing, clutch spring and weights (check for wear). If necessary, replace it at a Husqvarna dealer, or disassemble it for washing.

16. Disconnect throttle cable(in two places).

17. Separate from clamp and stack spark plug wire and wires to the “jammer”, and disconnect jammer wires on the trimmer motor.

18. It is not recommended to disassemble further, as it will break factory setting ignition! (let me remind you: our task is only maintenance and repair of the trimmer). Muffler and intake panel It is not recommended to remove it (just check the fasteners!), so as not to break the tightness of the intake/exhaust and to prevent dirt from getting into the cylinder when washing.

19. Loosen one bolt and remove shock absorber from the pipe. Wipe the seat on the pipe dry. Remove the shock absorber cover.

Note: I removed the spark-extinguishing mesh in the muffler to prevent possible overheating of the trimmer engine due to the mesh being clogged with carbon deposits.

Safety precautions: Sparks may fly from a muffler without a spark-extinguishing mesh.
Caution! Do not work where there is dry hay, gasoline or other flammable materials.

Washing trimmer engine parts

20. Prepare at T.O. and trimmer repair:

  • photo.bath (empty and clean);
  • 1.5 liters of pure gasoline, no oil! (to pour 0.7 liters into the bath twice);
  • a narrow brush with long, hard bristles;
  • a pump with a purge tip (or a compressor with a receiver);
  • large clean rag.

21. In order, wash with gasoline, blow out (!) and wipe painted surfaces with a clean (!) rag, including bolts and rubber bands (5 of them):

  • trimmer air filter cover and rubber band;
  • carburetor Zama C1Q (with partial disassembly and checking the holes with a thin copper wire);
  • carburetor and air filter housing, quickly(!), since gasoline dissolves some types of plastic;
  • the tank plug, especially the holes and the tank itself (if necessary, remove it with a hook from a bicycle spoke, remove the fuel filter from the tank and replace it);
  • cylinder cover;
  • trimmer starter block;
  • coil wires on the shaft pipe;
  • Wrap the spark plug cap in cellophane and place it on the spark plug (then wipe with a dry cloth).
  • Thoroughly wash and blow through the disassembled engine (carefully!, as gasoline corrodes the plastic parts of the ignition coil), especially carefully wash the entire engine cooling system!, to avoid overheating during extreme conditions trimmer operation;
  • old spark plug (clean first, if there is one) and put it in storage;
  • shock absorber and shock absorber cap;
  • disassembled trimmer clutch;
  • clutch cover;
  • aluminum tray;
  • muffler cover;
  • wash the bolt heads and rubber bands (there are 5 of them);
  • Wash the tray and brush in the remaining gasoline, wipe and hide.

22. Repeat paragraph 21 (selectively).

23. Wash your hands.

24. Inspect all wires and clean connections! (there are three of them?).

25. Open the trimmer throttle handle in half, disconnect the throttle cable and use a pipette to drop oil into the cable casing from both sides of the casing, constantly moving the cable to lubricate it. Clean and reassemble the throttle handle.

The procedure for reassembling the engine when so and repair of Husqvarna 333R trimmer

Note: I will be grateful to everyone who expresses their opinion in the comments about T.O. and repair of a Husqvarna trimmer (or compare with that and repair of a trimmer of another brand).

The gas mower stalls

When purchasing a lawn mower, you need to be prepared for the fact that, like all other similar tools, it may also develop breakdowns that will require repair.

But you shouldn’t immediately run to the service center and pay a lot of money to the technicians who convince you that there is a serious malfunction in the device.

Petrol mower stalls on high speed on gas

Perhaps the most common complaint related to gas trimmers is: “The trimmer stalls.”

Naturally, the prerequisite for this may be a fairly severe malfunction. The lawn mower does not develop momentum. Another reason why the Chinese lawn mower does not gain momentum. The lawn mower does not develop speed, why the Chinese lawn mower does not develop speed. But in most cases the situation is even simpler than it seems at first glance.

To cope with such a problem, first try to figure out its causes on your own, because once you find out the reason, it’s even easier to deal with the problem, and from time to time it even self-destructs.

In essence, the circumstances are when the lawn mower stalls high speed , there are quite a lot of these circumstances.

Another one is the presence of defects in the power system.

In this case, the lawn mower will stall at idle. It did not give any tangible result. Why the Chinese lawn mower does not develop speed. Why doesn't my lawn mower develop speed? Why does the lawn mower rev. I can’t get it off the ground. And it picks up speed from the floor. Misadjustment or incorrect adjustment of the carburetor can lead to dilemmas with the power system.

Why doesn't the Chinese lawn mower develops momentum?

Description.

Gasoline trimmer (motor mower) carburetor repair does not work does not develop rpm, power loss

Chinese lawn mower Husqvarna analogue does not develop speed, the reason turned out to be very simple (look in the video)

Misadjustment can be caused by vibrations that occur during the operation of the lawn mower.

Incorrect adjustment of the lawn mower can be corrected by simply adjusting it in accordance with the requirements specified in the operating instructions.

In addition, sometimes gasoline trimmers may stall due to the fact that the valve located in the gas tank cap is simply clogged or stuck.

To find out, try using a scythe while loosening the gas cap.

If the device operates properly in this mode, clean the valve.

This common problem has whole line various reasons. While working with the device, you can encounter both obvious problems, the signs of which are clearly visible, and asymptomatic cases. The first option is the simplest from the point of finding the problem. If the trimmer does not gain momentum, and there are no clear signs of breakdowns, then you will need to consistently check the most typical cases of malfunctions, and if the cause is found, eliminate it.

The problem when the brush cutter does not gain momentum occurs mainly in gasoline units. This is what technology suffers from. various models, for example, Husqvarna, Champion, Stihl.

With high-quality products, such problems occur less frequently than with cheap ones from unknown manufacturers.

Some of the structural elements that may cause problems are accessible visual inspection, and to check the functioning of the remaining components you will need to disassemble the brush cutter.

Use of low quality fuel

The trimmer does not develop speed if it is filled with low-quality fuel. For this reason, the engine may won't start at all or run rough", changing the speed of rotation of the knife or fishing line.

To independently determine the quality of the gasoline used, perform the following steps.

  1. Use a special key to remove the candles.
  2. Their working contacts are inspected for the presence of a red brick-colored coating: if there is one, then the fuel used contains significant inclusions of additives.

In general, spark plugs often act as indicators that help determine problems with the combustion chamber of a gasoline engine, because they can be quickly removed and inspected.

Spark plug

If deposits are detected, it is necessary to drain the fuel poured into the tank and replace it with high-quality fuel. The lawn mower used should only be filled with the grades of gasoline specified by the manufacturers in the operating instructions. It is also necessary to clean spark plugs from deposits before installation into place.

Dirty air or fuel filter

The next common reason for a decrease in the speed of the trimmer is contamination of its air or fuel filters. In the first case, the problem is that the fuel entering the combustion chamber fuel-air mixture insufficiently oxygenated, as a result, not all gasoline is burned. This prevents the lawn mower from developing maximum power.

Air filter

In order to check whether the air filter is really at fault, you need to remove it (after unscrewing the cover for this) and turn on the lawn mower. If it works normally, then instead of the clogged filter element you need to insert a new one.

If the situation has not changed after the actions taken, then you need to pay attention to the fuel filter. The essence of the problem is similar to the previous case, only instead of lack of oxygen there is little gasoline coming in for normal operation of the device. This problem can also be resolved by simply replacing the filter element. Air and fuel filters are inexpensive. It’s easy to change them yourself, and the whole job doesn’t take much time.

It should be taken into account that without fuel filter Operating the trimmer is prohibited by the instructions, otherwise the piston unit will need to be repaired after a short time.

Spark plug problems

With constant use of lawn mowers, spark plugs become dirty and worn out over time. To check this, they are removed and inspected for the presence of carbon deposits. The problem can be resolved in two ways: if possible, restore the old spark plug, or simply install a new one in its place.

In the first case, they act like this:

  • unscrew and wipe off the fuel from the spark plug;
  • dry it without calcination;
  • using a needle file or fine sandpaper, remove carbon deposits from the spark plug and check the gap between the electrodes (should be 1 mm);
  • assemble the trimmer;
  • start a lawn mower.

If the spark plug does not produce a spark after restoration manipulations at the required distance between the electrodes, then you will need to check quality of connections elements electrical circuit devices. When with wires full order, then you will definitely need to install a new part.

Replacing spark plugs is simple process, which is cheap, and if you can restore the old ones, then it’s completely free. To work you only need spark plug wrench and a file.

If regular, rapid contamination and wear of the spark plugs occurs, then you need to look deeper for the problem of these abnormal phenomena.

Engine problems

If everything is in order with the fuel, filters and spark plug, then the next source may be a gasoline engine. It may have the following mechanical failures:

  • problems with the carburetor;
  • problems with the engine drive mechanism.

There is a small cable in the carburetor section. It may subside and lead to the problem in question. Therefore, when working on a carburetor, you should first check cable condition, and tighten if necessary (but not to the limit). The main thing is not to overdo it with tension, so that it does not crack under load.

Cables in the carburetor

Then you need to check carburetor operational settings, which must correspond to the parameters given in the instructions. If they are installed correctly, but there is no desired effect, then you should disassemble the part, rinse, clean, blow through all its strokes with a pump and put it back together. The carburetor itself must be without mechanical damage.

If it is impossible to independently restore the carburetor, it is better to replace it new part or resort to the services of professionals.

If adjusting or replacing the carburetor does not give the required result, it is necessary to clean the drive mechanism and lubricate the cable located inside it with oil.

Carburetor

You can fix problems with the engine yourself if you have the required skills, but it is better to use the services of a service center for this. Its specialists will carry out comprehensive diagnostics trimmer and install exact reason drop in speed.

Failure in the fuel circulation system

Disturbance in the normal circulation of fuel on the trimmer also leads to the fact that the lawn mower does not gain operating speed. This may be due to the following main reasons:

  • air leaks, which are caused by cracks in the hoses;
  • clogging of the gasoline pump, which occurred due to the use low quality fuel or due to the formation of sediment at the bottom of the tank and its entry into the system;
  • contamination of the muffler or catalyst.

To resolve these problems yourself, you need to do the following:

  • overhaul the fuel pump, removing contaminants;
  • replace the tubes and hoses through which the fuel circulates;
  • clean the muffler and the mesh on it;
  • install a new catalyst, which will be expensive due to the precious metals it contains.

You can do all the work to troubleshoot problems in the fuel circulation system yourself. But it should be done carefully so as not to lose parts, or after assembling the braid there will be no “extra” left.

Possible causes of problems with electric streamers

When using a trimmer on which it is installed Electrical engine, there are also problems with gaining speed. But they are caused by completely different problems compared to fuel spits. The electric motor does not develop the required rotation speed in the following cases:

  • if the voltage in the supply network is below the rated value for the electric motor by more than 10%;
  • in case of problems with the soft start system (if this block installed);
  • when there are problems with the brush assembly;

Electric scythe brush assembly

  • in case of burning of the motor windings;
  • if rotating parts become jammed.

In order to exclude voltage problem, you need to use a multimeter or tester to check its value in the outlet from which the electric braid is powered. If it is less than the minimum permissible value, then to increase it you will need to turn off all electrical appliances or install a stabilizer.

A prerequisite for normal operation of the trimmer is the use of an extension cord with a core cross-section corresponding to the power of the scythe engine.

For block repair soft start You will need to have appropriate knowledge of electronics, so it is better to contact a service center. There they will determine whether it is repairable or whether it needs to be replaced. You can check the button yourself or find a block diagram and try to figure it out.

Soft start block

Brushes may wear out, resulting in contact loss, which leads to the electric motor stopping. The brushes are easy to replace. The features of the process are determined by the model of brush cutter used. At the same time, you will also need to clean all contacting surfaces.

When burning of windings, if you continue to mow grass or bushes, the electric motor will quickly burn out. This will be accompanied by the appearance of a burning smell, up to the melting of individual parts. The electric motor will need to be replaced.

Wedging of rotating parts happens for various reasons. To identify and eliminate them, you will need to sort out the drive unit. There are models in which the number of revolutions is automatically adjusted depending on the load, increasing as it increases - they have Idling rotation speed drops.

The video shows an algorithm for identifying the most common reasons why the trimmer does not reach the required speed:

Conclusion

Available on the market wide choose trimmers from various manufacturers. They are characterized by common reasons Why are the revs dropping? Each unit is also equipped with operating instructions. In it, the corresponding section contains the necessary recommendations on this issue regarding the model used.

If in progress self-elimination If you fail to achieve a positive result, it is better to seek help from specialists. You should also involve professionals in solving the problem in the absence of minimal experience and skills in this matter, so as not to cause harm. The most complex component is the engine. Only experienced craftsmen are allowed to work with it. When the brush cutter is on warranty service , best option- this is to contact a service center, where they will diagnose and repair the equipment.

What to do, if petrol trimmer Not dials rpm?

If you ever got a trimmer that works with gasoline, then you probably had to deal with the problem of turning on the trimmer, as well as with such a problem as petrol trimmer is not gaining momentum.

That is why this article was created.

So, what should you do if the trimmer, which has been working for you for more than a year, suddenly simply stops gaining momentum, and the motor simply stalls? In this case, you and I should consider a number of problems associated with stopping the engine.

The engine may stall under various circumstances. The efco stark 25 gas trimmer does not develop speed as if I was accelerating to a quarter, what should I do? At times a prerequisite malfunction trimmer powered by gasoline is a clogged air filter.

The filter itself is one of the most important reasons why a gasoline trimmer may stop working.

Very often, various debris gets into it, dust particles get there, which also clog the filter, so it needs to be cleaned and washed every month, and maybe more often, everything depends on how much power it has petrol trimmer, also how often you use this device.

The trimmer does not gain momentum, what should I do?

Trimmer does not gain momentum, a very common problem and of course does not always have a common solution. In this case.

Motokosa is not gaining momentum, the cause of the malfunction and its elimination

Description.

A petrol mower is one of the main tools of a summer resident, used to quickly bring land plot in order. Owners of private houses also purchase this tool for mowing grass in their gardens. The period of active use of lawn mowers and electric trimmers falls in the summer. Before using the tool, bring it into working condition: rubbing parts are lubricated, the cutting set is changed, the fuel mixture is poured into the tank. If the engine does not start at all or stalls quickly without starting sufficient quantity rpm, then you have to look for the causes of the problems and eliminate the identified problems. To repair a lawn mower with your own hands, you need to understand its structure and the operating principle of its main components. This information can be found in the operating instructions supplied with the garden equipment by the manufacturer. mandatory. Check for such a manual when purchasing a chainsaw. An imported tool must be accompanied by instructions written in Russian.

A long tubular rod is attached to the gearbox two stroke engine internal combustion. There is a shaft inside the rod that transmits torque from gasoline engine to the cutting mechanism. The line or knives rotate at a speed of 10,000 to 13,000 rpm. The protective housing of the gearbox has holes into which lubricant is injected using a syringe. For ease of use of the tool, the manufacturer equips it with a special adjustable strap that is thrown over the shoulder.

The cutting accessories are included with the lawn mowers:

  • The fishing line, the thickness of which varies from 1.6 to 3 mm, is located in the trimmer head. When mowing grass, the line wears out. Changing fishing line is done quickly and easily in two ways: by winding fishing line of the same diameter onto a spool or by installing a new spool with already wound fishing line.
  • Steel knives with double-sided sharpening for trimmers for clearing the area of weeds, small bushes, and coarse grass. Knives differ in shape and number of cutting surfaces.

A U-shaped, D-shaped or T-shaped handle attached to the bar contains the trimmer control levers. The cutting mechanism is protected by a special casing. Household brush cutters are fueled with a mixture prepared from gasoline and oil, which is poured into fuel tank. Device for semi-professional and household lawn mowers equipped with a four-fold gasoline engine, slightly different. The refueling scheme is also different: oil is poured into the crankcase, and gasoline into the tank.

The measured piece of fishing line is folded so that one end is 15 cm longer than the other. We insert the loop into the slot on the reel and begin to wind in the direction indicated by the arrow

What to do if the engine does not start?

If you cannot start the lawn mower, then the first thing you need to do is check the presence of fuel in the tank and its quality. To refill the tool, it is recommended to use high quality gasoline, purchased at gas stations, the grade of which must be no lower than AI-92. Saving on cheap fuel can lead to breakdown of the cylinder-piston group, the repair of which can cost a third of the cost of the lawn mower itself. It is equally important to properly prepare the fuel mixture of gasoline and oil. The proportional ratio of these mixture components is indicated by the manufacturer in the manual. You should not prepare the fuel mixture in large volumes, as its properties are lost during long-term storage. It is better to use a freshly prepared mixture.

When preparing the fuel mixture, pour oil into gasoline using a medical syringe, which allows you to accurately maintain the required proportion of components.

A dirty fuel filter in the tank can also interfere with the operation of the trimmer's engine. Therefore, if you have problems starting the engine, check the condition of the filter. If necessary, replace the filter. Do not leave the inlet pipe without a fuel filter.

The air filter also needs checking. If the part becomes dirty, remove it field conditions washed in gasoline and put in place. At the dacha or at home, the filter can be washed in water using detergents. After this, the filter is rinsed, wrung out and dried. The dried filter is moistened with a small amount of oil used to prepare the fuel mixture. Excess oil is removed by squeezing the filter with your hands. The part is then installed in place. The removed cover is put back and secured with screws.

The air filter, washed in the fuel mixture, wrung out and dried, is installed in place in a plastic case and closed with a lid.

How to do it this procedure You can watch the video in more detail:

If all of the above procedures have been carried out, but the engine does not start, then adjust its idle speed by tightening the carburetor screw. The video posted at the beginning of the article focuses on this issue.

So, in order:

  1. Place the tool on its side so that the air filter is at the top. With this arrangement of the chainsaw, the fuel mixture reaches exactly the bottom of the carburetor. The engine will start on the first try if you remove the air filter before starting and pour a few drops of the mixture into the carburetor, then install the dismantled parts in place. The method has been tested in practice.
  2. If the first tip does not work, then most likely the problem is in the spark plug. In this case, unscrew the spark plug and check its functionality, and also dry the combustion chamber. Replace a spark plug that shows no signs of life with a new one.
  3. If the spark plug is in good condition, the filters are clean and the fuel mixture is fresh, then you can use the universal method of starting the engine. Close air damper carburetor and pull the starter handle once. Then open the throttle and pull the starter 2-3 more times. Repeat the procedure three to five times. The engine will definitely start.

Some people pull the handle so hard that they have to repair the lawnmower starter with their own hands. This is only possible if the cable breaks or the cable handle breaks. In other cases, it is recommended to replace the starter. This unit is sold assembled.

How to properly replace a spark plug?

The work order is as follows:

  • Stop the engine and wait until it cools down.
  • Disconnect the high voltage wire from the spark plug.
  • Unscrew the part using a special key.
  • Inspect the spark plug for replacement. The part is replaced if it is faulty, heavily soiled, or has a crack in the body.
  • Check the gap between the electrodes. Its value should be 0.6 mm.
  • Tighten the new spark plug inserted into the engine with a wrench.
  • Complete the installation high voltage wire to the central electrode of the spark plug.

As you can see, there is nothing super complicated in this procedure.

A new spark plug for a two-stroke internal combustion engine of a gasoline spit is installed to replace old part, out of order

Why does the lawn mower stall after starting?

After starting, the engine may stall if the carburetor is incorrectly configured or misadjusted. By what signs can we understand that the reason really lies in this? It’s very simple, based on the vibrations that will be clearly felt when the mower is operating. You can adjust the fuel supply yourself by following everything that is written in the operating instructions for the tool.

The engine may stall due to a clogged fuel valve. The cause can be eliminated by cleaning it. If the lawn mower starts up and then suddenly stalls, it means that the supply of fuel to the carburetor is obstructed. Loosen the carburetor valves to ensure free flow of fuel in the required quantity.

Excessive air leaks may also cause the engine to stall. Increase the engine speed to allow air bubbles to escape faster. fuel system unit. Also be sure to check the integrity of the fuel intake hose. If mechanical damage is detected (cracks, punctures, etc.), replace the part.

How to clean and store the instrument?

During operation of the lawn mower, monitor the condition of the engine cooling system. The channels in the starter housing, as well as the cylinder fins, must always be clean. If you ignore this requirement and continue to use the brush cutter, you can damage the engine due to overheating.

Proper care of a gasoline scythe during operation allows you to use it for several seasons in a row without major repairs.

Allow the engine to cool before cleaning. Take a soft bristle brush and scrub away any dirt from the outer surface. Plastic parts are cleaned with solvents, including kerosene, or special detergents.

At the expiration of summer season The lawn mower must be prepared for long-term storage. To do this, the fuel mixture is drained from the tank. Then the engine is started to exhaust any remaining fuel in the carburetor. The entire instrument is thoroughly cleaned of dirt and sent to “hibernate.”

As you can see, you can repair malfunctions of a household lawn mower entirely on your own. You should contact customer service if serious damage. In this case, you should compare the cost of repairs with the price of a new lawn mower. It may be better to buy a new tool.
