Panther car alarm connection diagram. Alarm panther, useful information, how to install

Many car owners are familiar with the situation: you come, for example, to a supermarket, park your car and put on the alarm. You come back with a bunch of packages, press the button on the key fob - and the car, like someone else's, does not think to answer. As a result, you open it with the key, the siren goes off, and you yourself remind yourself of a robber. What to do when the alarm does not respond to the key fob? Let's figure it out.

Alarm not responding

The battery has run out in the keychain

The first and most probable cause if the alarm on the car does not work. The batteries may be dead or loose from their regular place... Think back to the last time you changed them. Dead batteries may be indicated by a dimming screen or LED.

To correct the situation, remove the battery from the case and slightly tap it on another hard object. This may be enough to disarm the car. In general, it's always a good idea to carry a spare battery with you.

You are in an area of radio interference

Often, radio waves are jammed near secure enterprises, closed objects, airports. It can be a powerful electromagnetic field from some object. Interference can be caused by a large congestion of cars, such as in parking lots. shopping centers, as well as cash-in-transit vehicles (therefore, avoid stopping next to them).

Try to bring the alarm key fob close to the place where the system receiver is installed and press the button. If this does not help, you can tow the car 200-300m from this zone and try to open it there.

There are not enough conditions for wave transmission

Perhaps, to disarm the system, there is not enough operating voltage on the deceased car battery... Also in particular severe frost the keychain can "slow down".

Some transmitters fail from repeated button presses outside the signal coverage area (for example, when buttons are pressed in a trouser pocket or children play with a key fob).

Wear of the security system

Over time, the radius of the keychain may decrease. It is possible that the receiving antenna of the transmitter installed in the car is faulty or errors were made when.

The remote control is out of sync with the car

This means that the key fob has lost communication with the unit and needs to be reprogrammed. We open the car, and, since it is not removed from the alarm, we use the emergency shutdown function. Further, to program the transmitter, refer to your alarm manual. Each manufacturer has its own characteristics, but in general, the algorithm is not complicated and is executed quickly.

The car is not removed from the alarm

System malfunctions of the control unit

If the system does not show any signs of life, this may be due to the fact that it has disappeared software from the main unit. As a rule, it needs to be re-flashed. This is done by service companies for the installation of alarms.

Electronics technical failure

The most unpleasant news is the failure of the central alarm unit. They cannot be repaired, they can only be changed. This happens infrequently and leads to the replacement of the entire system, which can be expensive.

How to understand that your signaling unit is "dying":

  • previously working functions are missing
  • the system responds inadequately or does not react at all to remote control commands
  • spontaneous activation of the siren.

Blocked engine

Occasionally, the engine blocking relay may fail. If this is the case, the car simply won't start. Knowing where the relay is located, and having honey agaric in car repairs, you can turn off the blocking yourself by bridging the correct contacts to get to the specialists on your own. But if you are not sure of your skills, in no case do not take such actions, this can lead to serious damage to the car, as well as to a short circuit and ignition.

Alarms are often triggered

Negative influence of the environment on electronics

Contacts and relays often fail. Most often, "goes" to the hood end switches. Limit switches are buttons that are pressed by the hood when closing, so that the alarm will remember the open / closed position. Since these contacts are in an aggressive environment, dirt often clogs in them, moisture gets in, they oxidize and rust. As a result, they do not work correctly, or they may react to the opening of the hood. The problem can be eliminated by replacing the limit switch.

Sensors needing service

Firstly, during installation, the shock sensor could be configured for increased sensitivity. The siren can even be triggered by gusts of wind. Exit - change the sensitivity parameters.

Secondly, external tilt sensors, shock sensors, and a microwave volume sensor quite often fail. This malfunction is considered "floating", since they are scattered throughout the car, and it is difficult to establish the cause of the breakdown. In any case, it would be better to contact the service.

The alarm does not open or close doors

The car is safely armed, but when opened, the key fob lights up "open", and central locking locked? Listen to if the central locking is working. If yes, then first of all we check the fuses, the so-called "brains".

The reason may be a blown 10A fuse (with a red head), which is installed in front of the locking relay, or the integrity of the wires. In cold weather, they become especially fragile and often break. Door solenoids may not be firing. It may be that the alarm limit switches do not close the doors, then they should be checked.

If the fuses are in order, we check the central locking drive, which is in driver's door... The thrust from the front left door lock to central lock alarm. This is fixable and mechanically fixed.

How to "silence" an alarm that does not turn off

  • Emergency shutdown function. The lock is released in the service mode. Every driver should know where the Valet button is hidden in his car. It is often placed next to the passenger compartment fuse box. Also inspect all removable plugs and pads, torpedo from the side open door, space under the steering cowl. This button is responsible for communication with the alarm control unit, reprogramming key fobs, adding new protection functions, etc. When the alarm does not turn off, you need to enter using the button secret code, which is written in the instructions when installing it. For example, to turn off the siren, you may need to turn on the ignition, press the button twice, turn off the ignition. The alarm will be deactivated and you can drive a safe distance to find out why your alarm will not open the car.
  • This method is "popular", but effective. Sitting in the car with the siren on, press the Unlock button on the key fob many times in a row. At some point, the alarm will respond and start working again. These actions are explained by the fact that sometimes the connection between the remote control and the control unit is broken. Constant pressing of the button amplifies the radio wave and contact is restored.

Instructions

Prepare to program the theft deterrent transmitter. To do this, disarm the alarm and get into the car.

Check if the system shutdown function is enabled using the Valet override button. If the function does not work, then you need to enter the security system menu. However, it will not be easy to get into the settings, since they are protected from the penetration of unauthorized persons, which is very reasonable, since otherwise any attacker could easily change the parameters of the security perimeter and gain access to the vehicle.

Enter your personal code to access the alarm programming menu. If you have never entered a code before, use the preset serial number, which can only be entered once. It is expected that the vehicle owner should arrange for their own security code to be set as soon as possible.

Start the car, turn off the ignition, and then start the engine again. After that, within 15 seconds, press the Valet button a certain number of times equal to the first digit of the security code. If you do not meet the allotted time, repeat the entire procedure, starting with the ignition.

If the individual code consists of two or more digits, press Valet to enter the rest of the digits as well, adhering to a rigid time schedule.

After the last digit of the code has been entered and the ignition is turned off for 10-15 seconds, press three times secret button... Please note that after this the alarm of the security system siren must sound and the LED must start blinking rapidly.

Press and hold the transmitter button. Another siren signal should alert the owner Pantera alarm that the transmitter has been programmed successfully. Then you can start programming another remote control, again focusing on the 15-second time interval.

To exit the security system programming mode, simply start the car engine or do not press the service function control buttons. The alarm will give one short and one long signal, notifying the owner of the car about changes in the system, after which it will switch to the security mode itself.

The Starline alarm system is equipped with two-way communication, as well as an extended range of service and security functions. It comes with a handy LCD keychain.

Instructions

Connect alarm to the car, then use the remote control to program it. Switch off the ignition of the car, then press the Valet service button on the remote control six times. Then turn on the ignition, six siren signals will sound, which indicate the entry into the alarm programming mode.

For example, if you want to set the duration of the pulses sent to the central locking system for unlocking and locking, press the button once and set the required value using buttons 1 - 3 (see table). To set the state of the programmed function, press one of the remote control buttons within ten seconds after selecting the function.

Set the delay for activating the sensors for doors, trunk and hood, to do this, press the service button three times and select the duration using the buttons (1 -

ARMING VIA RADIO FOB

  1. Press and release button 1 of the transmitter (left button).
    • The red system light emitting diode (LED) will blink slowly.
    • The engine will be blocked.
    • Note: If the siren beeps 3 additional signal and the direction indicators will flash 3 more times after arming, this means that the hood, trunk or doors are not closed or one of these circuits is faulty. The LED will flash 2 or 3 times after a pause for 30 seconds, indicating a faulty and bypassed circuit. In 3 seconds after this circuit will work normally again, the system itself will include it in the security circuit.

Note: If function # 10 ("Siren warning signals when the door is open") is disabled, which is necessary when installing the system on a number of car models, then when arming the system will send only standard confirmation signals (1 siren signal and 1 blinking of direction indicators) even if the moment of arming, one of the car doors is open. However, if the car door was opened at the time of arming and remained open, then 3 seconds after the bypassed circuit ceases to be active, the system will automatically re-arm it.

SILENT ARMING

  1. Press and release button 2 of the transmitter (right button).
    • The engine will be blocked.
    • The siren will not sound.

Note: If the siren beeps 3 times and the direction indicators flash 3 more times after arming, this means that the hood, trunk or doors are not closed or one of these circuits is faulty. The LED will flash 2 or 3 times after a pause for 30 seconds, indicating a faulty and bypassed circuit. In 3 seconds after this circuit will work normally again, the system itself will include it in the security circuit.

    • If the appropriate connections and programming are made during installation, the system will also automatically close the car windows.

ARMING WITH DISABLING THE IMPACT SENSOR

  1. Switch off the ignition, exit the vehicle and close all doors, hood and trunk.
  2. Press and release button 1 of the transmitter to arm the system (or button 2 to silently arm the system).
    • The red system LED will blink slowly.
    • The engine will be blocked.
    • The direction indicators will flash 1 time.
    • The siren will sound 1 beep (when silently arming or if feature # 6 is disabled, this siren signal will not be heard)
    • The doors will be locked (if electric locks are installed).
  3. Within 5 seconds, press and release button 2. The shock sensor will be disabled until the next arming of the system.
    • The direction indicators will flash 1 more time.

AUTOMATIC (PASSIVE) ARMING

Attention! This function is programmable and can be disabled at the request of the owner. You can also program the system so that when the systems are automatically armed, it will also lock the car doors.

  1. Switch off the ignition, exit the vehicle and close all doors, hood and trunk.
    • As soon as the last door is closed, the red LED will flash rapidly to indicate that a 30 second countdown has begun before auto-arming.
  2. Opening any door, hood or trunk during the 30-second countdown before auto-arming will stop the countdown immediately and the LED will turn off. As soon as all doors, bonnet and trunk are closed again, the 30-second countdown will restart and the LED will start flashing rapidly again. At the end of the 30-second countdown, the following occurs:
    • The red system LED will flash slowly.
    • The engine will be blocked.
    • The direction indicators will flash once.
    • The doors will be locked (if electric lock drives are installed and programmable feature # 2 is enabled)

Note: If after confirmation signals of arming the siren will give 3 more signals and the direction indicators will blink 3 times - this means that the shock sensor input is active or faulty.

IMMOBILIZER MODE

If you do not want to use the automatic arming function after turning off the ignition and closing all doors, you can use the programmed im-mobilizer mode (feature # 7). In this case, 30 seconds after the ignition is turned off, the system will only automatically turn on the engine blocking, and will not be further triggered by opening doors, hood or trunk, or from a shock sensor.

You can also use this programmable function in addition to the automatic arming function, but in this case the immobilizer mode will be activated only when the automatic arming function cannot start for one reason or another (for example, if one of the doors remains open).

  1. Switch off the ignition and exit the vehicle.
  2. 30 seconds after turning off the ignition:
    • The red LED of the system will start blinking 2 times slower than during normal armed mode.
    • The engine blocking is activated.
  3. If the ignition was switched on with the immobilizer mode turned on:
    • The siren will beep for 10 seconds (during this time you can disarm the system using the transmitter without triggering the system by pressing button 1 of the transmitter) and then, if during this time the system has not yet been disarmed, the alarm mode will turn on - the direction indicators and the interior lighting will start blinking (if this option is connected), the siren will sound constantly and the pager output will turn on (if the corresponding connections and programming are made during installation).
    • If the ignition is turned off before the expiration of 10 seconds, the warning signals will turn off and the system will remain in immobilizer mode (the engine will remain blocked).
    • If, after turning on the alarm, the ignition is turned off again, the alarm mode will be turned off after completing a 30-second cycle, and the system will return to the immobilizer mode (the engine will remain blocked).
    • If the ignition remains on, the alarm will continue as long as the ignition remains on, but not more than 3 minutes. The alarm will then be canceled, but the engine will remain locked.
  4. For disconnections immobilizer mode:
    • Press button 1 of the transmitter to arm the system in full protection mode (the siren will beep once, the direction indicators will flash once, etc.).
    • Press button 1 of the transmitter again to disarm the system (the siren will beep 2 times, the direction indicators will flash 2 times, etc.)
    • In the event that the transmitter is lost or does not function, you can also turn off the immobilizer mode using the Valet pushbutton switch.

CAR PROTECTION WHEN ARMED ON

  • When the outer zone of the shock sensor is triggered (caused by a light push or hit on the glass, or the car body), the warning mode will turn on and the siren will give 3 short beeps.
  • Any strong push or hit on the glass or car body will immediately trigger a full 30 second alarm cycle.
  • Opening any door, hood or trunk will immediately trigger the siren. The siren will sound for 30 seconds, then it will turn off and the system will re-arm. If the hijacker left the door, hood or trunk open, the siren will sound 6 cycles of 30 seconds (unless you disable the alarm mode using the transmitter earlier) and then arm, bypassing only the circuit that triggered the alarm.
  • When the system is triggered, the direction indicators will flash for 30 seconds, indicating visual attention to the car.
  • If this function is enabled, when the security system is triggered, the interior lighting will flash during the entire 30-second cycle of the alarm mode.
  • If the appropriate connections and programming are made during installation, when the system is triggered, the output to the additional pager will automatically turn on.
  • When the security is on, the starter interlock and an additional engine blocking circuit (if an additional relay is installed) are enabled, preventing an unauthorized engine start.
  • The red LED flashes slowly when the system is armed. This is a visual warning to a potential hijacker. The current consumed by the LED indicator is very small and practically does not discharge the battery even over a long period of time. After the system has fired, the LED will blink in a series of paused flashes to indicate the zone that triggered the firing.

DYNAMIC ALARM SLEEP

  1. If the system is triggered and the alarm mode is activated (siren sounds, direction indicators and interior lighting (if this option is connected) flash, pressing and releasing button 1 of the transmitter once, you will only turn off the alarm mode (siren will turn off, etc.). this will remain in the armed mode:
    • The siren will beep 1.
    • The car doors will be re-locked (if electric locks are installed).

Note: If at the moment the alarm mode is turned off, any of the security zones remains active (the door, hood or trunk is open), then 3 seconds after the alarm mode is turned off, the siren will give 3 more signals, the direction indicators will blink 3 times and the LED will flash 2 or 3 times after a pause for 30 seconds, indicating the bypassed security circuit.

  2. To disarm the system, press and release button 1 of the transmitter again.
    • The siren will beep 4 times.
    • The direction indicators will flash 4 times.

DISARMING SYSTEM

  1. Press and release button 1 of the transmitter while approaching the vehicle.
    • The red system LED will turn off

Note: If Programmable Feature # 5 is enabled, the LED will blink rapidly to indicate the start of a 30-second countdown before auto-re-arming (see below).

    • The siren will beep 2 times (if feature # 6 is enabled).

    Note:

      • the first press of button 1 of the transmitter will unlock only the driver's door; pressing button 1 of the transmitter again within 3 seconds will unlock all doors

Silent disarming

  1. Press and release button 2 of the transmitter while approaching the vehicle.
    • The red system LED will turn off

Note: If Programmable Feature # 5 is enabled, the LED will blink rapidly to indicate the start of a 30-second countdown before auto-re-arming (see below)

    • The direction indicators will flash 2 times.
    • The siren will not sound.

Note: If the siren gives 4 or 5 signals and the direction indicators flash 4 times when the system is disarmed, this means that the security was activated in your absence. Before turning on the ignition, identify the zone or trigger that triggered the system by the flashing LEDs (see the Intrusion Attempt Alerts section below).

    • The doors will be unlocked (if electric locks are installed).
    • If additional relays are installed and the corresponding connections are made:
      • The "polite lighting" of the passenger compartment will turn on for 30 seconds (or until the ignition is switched on).
      • When pushing button 1 of the transmitter for the first time, only the driver's door is unlocked, when pushing button 1 of the transmitter again within 3 seconds, all doors are unlocked.

AUTOMATIC RESTART

  1. If the automatic re-arming feature is enabled (feature # 5), after disarming the system using the transmitter:
    • The system LED will flash rapidly to indicate the start of a 30-second countdown before automatic re-arming.
    • Opening any of the doors, hood or trunk will cancel the countdown. However, if the programmable passive arming function is enabled, then after all doors are closed again, a 30-second countdown will begin before passive arming.
  2. If the door, hood or trunk of the car did not open, then 30 seconds after the system was disarmed, the system will re-arm and:
    • The system LED will flash slowly.
    • The engine will be blocked.
    • The direction indicators will flash once.
    • The siren will sound 1 beep (if feature # 6 is enabled).
    • The doors will be locked (if electric locks are installed).

PENETRATION WARNING SIGNALS

The system will inform you if there have been attempts to enter the car during your absence. If the system was triggered, then when disarming, the siren will give 4 signals, and the direction indicators will flash 4 times. In this case, the LED will flash a certain number of times after a pause until the ignition is turned on, indicating the zone or trigger that caused the last activation of the system. Sit in the car and count the number of LED flashes.

Note: If the main zone of one of the system sensors or the hood / trunk trigger triggered 3 system operations and this protection zone was disabled by the protection against false alarms of the system, then when the system is disarmed, the siren will give 5 signals and the direction indicators will flash 4 times.

  • If the LED blinks 2 times after a pause, then the activation was caused by an attempt to open the car door or an attempt to turn on the ignition.
  • If the LED blinks 3 times after a pause, etc., then the actuation was caused by a shock sensor or an additional sensor connected to this connector of the system.
  • If the LED blinks 4 times after a pause, etc., then the activation was caused by an attempt to open the hood or trunk.

Note: Triggering of the shock sensor warning zone is not indicated by the LED.

Information about the zone that triggered the activation is stored in the system memory and is erased when the ignition is switched on or when the system is armed using the transmitter.

TEMPORARY DISABLING OF THE AUTOMATIC ARMING FUNCTION

If the automatic arming function is enabled, but you want to disable it temporarily (when refueling the car, at a service station, etc.), use the following procedure:

  1. Turn off the ignition, but do not open the car door.
  2. Within 5 seconds after turning off the ignition, press and hold button 1 and button 2 of the transmitter simultaneously for 1 second.
    • The siren will sound 1 signal, confirming the disabling of the automatic arming function until the next ignition is switched on or until the system is armed using the transmitter.

Note: this procedure can also be used to temporarily disable immobilizer mode.

AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKING WHEN IGNITION IS ON / AUTOMATIC DOOR UNLOCKING WHEN IGNITION OFF

If electric lock drives are installed and system programmable functions # 3 and # 4 are enabled:

  • The system will automatically lock the car doors 3 seconds after turning on the ignition, if at this moment all the car doors are closed;
  • The system will automatically unlock the car doors immediately after the ignition is turned off, if all the car doors are closed at that moment.

CONTROL OF LOCKING / UNLOCKING THE DOORS WHILE THE VEHICLE IS MOVING

If electric locks are installed - with the ignition on, pressing any button of the transmitter will sequentially lock and unlock the car doors.

VALET MODE

  1. Valet pushbutton switch will allow you to turn on the "Valet" service mode (i.e. temporarily disable all security functions systems), if, for example, you need to leave the car at a service station. At the same time, it remains possible to remotely control the "Panic" mode and door locks.

    For inclusions service mode Valet:

    1. Sit in the car and turn on the ignition (the system must be disarmed).
      • The system LED will light steadily to indicate that the system is in valet mode.

Note: When the system is in Valet mode, the siren will beep 2 short beeps each time the ignition is turned off.

    For shutdown service mode Valet:

    1. Switch on the ignition.
    2. Press and hold the Valet pushbutton switch for 2 seconds.
      • The System LED will turn off to indicate Valet Mode is disabled.

Note: Remember to turn off Valet Mode when it is no longer needed. This guarantees the constant protection of the car.

  2. Valet switch can also be used to disable the security mode if you have lost the transmitter or if it is defective. In this case:
    1. Open the door with the key. The system will work, the siren will turn on, the direction indicators and interior lighting will start blinking (if this option is connected).
    2. Switch on the ignition.
    3. Press and release the Valet pushbutton switch within 15 seconds.
      • The system LED will turn off.
      • The alarm mode will be deactivated, the system will be disarmed and the engine will be unlocked.

Attention! Please note that the system will not be be in Valet mode. This means that if the passive arming function is enabled, then after the next ignition off and all doors, hood and trunk of the car closed, a 30 second countdown will begin before passive arming.

PERSONAL SYSTEM DISCONNECTION CODE

If programmable feature # 9 is programmed accordingly, disarming without using the transmitter, as well as disabling Anti-HiJack mode will only be possible with your programmed personal code. To program your Personal System Disable Code, refer to the Programmable System Features section of the Installation Instructions. To disable the system using a personal code:

  1. Open the car door with the key.
    • The system will work immediately, the siren will sound, the direction indicators will flash.
  2. Switch on the ignition.
  3. Within 15 seconds, press and release the Valet pushbutton switch a number of times equal to your personal code (from 2 to 9), then pause.
    • If was introduced correct code, then after a few seconds the alarm mode (siren and direction indicators) will turn off.
    • The system LED will turn off.
    • The engine will be unlocked.

Note: If the security mode does not turn off after entering your personal code, the 15-second time interval may have been exceeded or an incorrect code was entered. In this case, turn off the ignition and enter your personal code for disabling the system again.

Attention!

REMOTE PANIC MODE

The "Panic" remote mode is activated by pressing button 1 and button 2 of the transmitter with the ignition off, when the system is armed or disarmed:

  1. At ignition off press and release button 1 and button 2 of the transmitter at the same time. The system siren will sound immediately.
  2. To turn off the "Panic" mode, press and release button 1 and button 2 of the transmitter at the same time. The siren will stop working and the system will return to the state in which it was before the "Panic" mode was activated.

Remote Panic Mode can also be enabled while the system is in Valet Mode. In this case, after the end of the "Panic" mode, the system will return to the "Valet" mode.

REMOTE ANTI-HIJACK MODE

This system allows you to turn on the Anti-HiJack mode (Anti-HiJack function robbery) using the transmitter.

Remote activation of the Anti-HiJack mode using the transmitter is performed by simultaneously pressing and holding button 1 and button 2 of the system transmitter for 3 seconds with the ignition on. After that, Anti-HiJack mode will work as follows:

Stage 1: 40 *** seconds after activating the Anti-HiJack function, short warning siren signals will sound for 5 seconds.

Note ***: Please note that the Anti-HiJack timer counts down to the start of stage 2 only when the ignition is on. If at any moment before the start of stage 2 the ignition was turned off, the timing of the corresponding stage will be paused (the system can even be armed), but it will be resumed immediately as soon as the ignition is switched on again.

Stage 2: 45 seconds after activating the Anti-HiJack function, the siren will start working, and the direction indicators and the interior lighting of the car (if this option is connected) will flash. If at this time the ignition of the car is turned off, the system will immediately turn on the starter lock.

Stage 3: 30 seconds after turning on the siren (i.e. 75 seconds after activating the Anti-HiJack function), the starter lock will turn on. The siren and direction indicators will continue to work regardless of the position of the ignition key for 3 minutes.

If after these 3 minutes the ignition is turned off, the alarm will be canceled, but the engine will remain blocked. Any subsequent switching on of the ignition will result in re-launch 3 minute alarm cycle.

Thus, this algorithm allows you to turn on the Anti-HiJack mode in advance, for example, immediately before parking the car. After that you can turn off the ignition and arm the system. In this case, if you are attacked and your car keys and the system's remote control are taken away from you, the Anti-HiJack timer will start counting down immediately after the system is disarmed and the ignition is turned on. Disable this mode using the system's key fob transmitter will no longer be possible.

Disabling Anti-HiJack mode:

After turning on the Anti-HiJack mode, it can no longer be turned off using the transmitter, although you can nevertheless arm the system using the transmitter with the ignition off. The way to disable Anti-HiJack mode activated by the transmitter depends on the state of programmable feature # 9.

  1. Disabling the Anti-HiJack function before the start of stage 2 (i.e. until the siren and direction indicators are turned on) is performed at any time by pressing the Valet pushbutton switch (if feature # 9 is enabled) or by entering a personal code (if feature # 9 is disabled) when the ignition is on.
  2. To turn off the Anti-HiJack mode from the moment the siren and direction indicators turn on, you will need to turn the ignition off and on again, and within 15 seconds press and release the Valet button switch (if feature # 9 is enabled) or enter your personal code (if feature # 9 off).

Attention! If an incorrect code has been entered 3 times in a row, the system for some time will stop responding to further attempts to enter the code to exclude the possibility of selecting the system shutdown code.

Attention! Including anti-theft function Anti-HiJack, you take responsibility for possible consequences caused by the possible forcible shutdown of the car engine while driving, especially in the case of using engine blocking other than recommended.

FALSE PROTECTION FUNCTION

In order to avoid, as far as possible, possible frequent false alarms of the system caused by a faulty limit switch, thunder, etc. this system uses an advanced anti-false alarm function that works as follows.

  • If the system was triggered 3 times within 60 minutes from the system shock sensor or from the hood / trunk trigger (which are most often the cause of false alarms), this sensor or a trigger (or also any additional sensors connected only to the same armed zone) will be disabled for 60 minutes, either until triggered by any other trigger or sensor (connected to another zone), or until the system is disarmed using the transmitter ... This will prevent possible subsequent false alarms of the system.

Attention! The operation of this function does not apply to triggers of door limit switches and, therefore, the number of activation of this armed zone cannot be limited.

  • If the system shock sensor or the hood / trunk trigger has triggered 3 or more system operations and has been temporarily disabled by the anti-false alarm function, then when the system is disarmed, the siren will give 5 warning signals and the direction indicators will turn on 4 times.

Note: This function is programmable and can be disabled at the request of the owner of the system. In this case, the number of possible system activations from any armed zone will not be limited.

REMOTE CONTROL OF AUXILIARY DEVICES (AUXILIARY CHANNEL OUTPUT)

  1. This system has an additional radio-controlled channel that allows you to control various additional devices, primarily the electric boot lid lock (installation is required additional relay).

To operate the electric boot lid lock, press button 2 (right button) of the transmitter and hold it pressed for at least 3 seconds with the ignition off.

Note: If the output of the additional channel was turned on while the system is armed, the system will simultaneously turn off the shock sensor and the hood / trunk trigger for a while so that opening the trunk does not trigger the system. 3 seconds after the trunk is closed, the system will automatically arm this circuit again.

  2. Besides the above function remote unlocking boot lid lock, the output of the additional system channel can also be used for:
    • Remote switching on car headlights
    • Remote closing of windows and / or car sunroof
    • Management additional module remote start engine
    • Controlling an additional garage door opener interface

For this, the type of output of the additional system channel can be programmed during installation as:

    • "impulse" signal, i. e. activated for 1 second or for as long as button 2 of the transmitter is held down, but not more than 25 seconds;
    • "constant" signal, i.e. activated by pressing button 2 of the transmitter for 3 seconds and working until the next pressing and holding button 2 of the transmitter for 3 seconds.

If you are using any additional device connected to the system's auxiliary channel output, contact your installer for help on remotely controlling that device.

SAVE SYSTEM STATE WHEN POWER IS DISCONNECTED

The system will return to the same state (armed, disarmed, Valet mode, Anti-HiJack mode), in which it was before the power was turned off. In the event that the power was turned off while the system was in the armed mode, after connecting the power supply or when trying to start the engine, the alarm mode will immediately turn on.

ADDITIONAL TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING

TRANSMITTER BUTTON FUNCTIONS

The transmitters included with the system are programmed at the factory as follows:

PROGRAMMING TRANSMITTERS

A total of up to 4 transmitters can be programmed into the system memory. When you try to program the 5th transmitter, the code of the first transmitter will be "pushed" from the system memory; when you try to program the 6th transmitter, the code of the second transmitter will be "pushed out" from the system memory, and so on.

Attention! Remember that each operation must be completed within 15 seconds of the previous operation. If the 15-second interval is exceeded, the system will automatically exit the programming mode, which will be confirmed by one short and one long siren beeps. If during programming there was turned off ignition the system will also exit the programming mode immediately and you will hear one short and one long siren beeps.

  1. Disarm the system, get into the car and turn on the ignition.
  2. Press the Valet button 3 times. You will hear 1 siren beep after a pause, after which the LED will start blinking, confirming that the system is ready to program a new transmitter.
  3. Press and hold any transmitter button until you hear a long siren beep confirming that the new transmitter has been programmed. The LED will stop blinking and stay on continuously.
  4. To exit programming mode:
    • turn off the ignition or
    • press the Valet button again or
    • wait 15 seconds without taking any action.

You will hear one short and one long siren beep to confirm that the system has exited the programming mode.

SYNCHRONIZING TRANSMITTERS

Since the transmitters of the system use a constantly changing (dynamic) code, in certain, although quite rare situations (for example, when the remote control buttons are pressed more than 50 times away from the car), the codes of the remote controls and the security system may become out of sync. In this case, go to the car and quickly press the transmitter button twice. Synchronization will be restored and the key fob will be able to control the system again.

TRANSMITTER BATTERY DISCHARGE WARNING / SYSTEM TRANSMITTER BATTERY REPLACEMENT

A small LED is installed in the transmitter housing, which confirms the pressing of the transmitter buttons and also indicates the state of the battery. As the battery is discharged, you may notice a decrease in the range of the transmitter and, accordingly, a weakening of the LED luminescence.

To replace the battery:

  1. Open the cover by unscrewing the small screw with back side transmitter housing.
  2. Remove the dead battery and note the polarity of its insertion.
  3. Install new item power supply (23A type), make sure the polarity is correct.
  4. Install the cover carefully without damaging the LED or switches on the circuit board.

A Russian manufacturer of security systems for cars has created a panther alarm. It is characterized by the presence of multiple functions to ensure the safety of the vehicle, therefore it has found its application among many motorists who value it for its quality and reliability. Therefore, it is the Panther alarm that will be considered in this article.

Types of car alarms pantera

Various modifications of this pantera security system are presented on the market, the alarm of which is designed to inform the driver about the condition of his car, as well as start the engine at a distance or at a certain period of time. Therefore, the panther signaling is suitable for any car (even for an automatic transmission).

The developers tested it in various atmospheric temperature conditions, and therefore, its use is allowed in cars that are operated in the far north, or in Asia.

The developers of these products have created security systems of the following types.

  1. One-sided models... They have the following modifications: pantera xs 1000, qx 77, qx 44, CL 500, CLK 355. Characterized by the fact that they are equipped with a function for emergency shutdown of the alarm using a special button encoded with a pincode (model xs 1000), have two-level shock sensors, which makes it sensitive to any damage, even minor. Also, this includes the protective coding of the signal, which prevents it from being read by scanners (models xs 1000, CL 500, CLK 355), and of course this is an alarm with auto start of the motor, plus a 6-channel siren. In general, the xs 1000 model belongs to the flagships of the one-way panther alarms.
  2. Reversible models... These include pantera slk 675rs, slk 468, clc 180, slr 5625. They are characterized by an improved anti-theft system, constant communication with the car owner about the condition of the car, remote engine shutdown in case of illegal seizure, regulation of the starting capabilities of the engine (switching on at a certain temperature air, low battery). In addition, the installed additional sensor will be able to turn off the engine while it is moving.

But before you start using this alarm, it is important to remember that the radius of its action in the mode feedback does not exceed 2 kilometers, and in the mode of remote engine start, lighting on, no more than 300-700 meters. This does not apply to the winding function of the engine at a certain ambient temperature, or low battery charging. This all happens automatically.

Equipment

The complete set of these anti-theft systems is as follows:

  • liquid crystal keychain, on its screen, various symbols of the state of the car are displayed, and there are also buttons for arming and disarming, starting the engine (with the exception of the simplest systems that serve to warn the driver about entering the car);
  • the simplest wiring diagram, that is, the equipment set includes not only the operating instructions, but also the connection diagram, for self-installation, the operating and programming manual is written in the language of the country where the alarm will be used;
  • equipment, shock sensors, magnetic buttons, block, wires, remote control key fob, shutdown button.

The operating instructions contain not only recommendations on how to install this anti-theft system, but also recommendations on how to set up and program some of the alarm functions. The signaling sherkhan also has such functions.

It is important to remember that the price for this anti-theft security system is lower than for other analogues with the same technical characteristics. Therefore, it is not inferior in quality and reliability to such brands as the pharaoh, sheriff, starline alarms.

As practice shows, in modern world you can not be exactly sure of the safety of your vehicle... Products of the Russian company Saturn High-Tech, trade marks which are such car alarms like the Alligator, Panther and others, is considered one of the best on the market. And although the Panther devices appeared a little later than the Alligator, due to their efficiency and product quality, they have earned considerable popularity among car owners, and their history has been going on for more than 15 years. These systems are developed using modern anti-theft mechanisms and include unique functions such as protection against erroneous actuation, arming in case of malfunctions, and so on.

What a car owner should know before starting work on installing an alarm

As a rule, the Pantera alarm wiring diagram is included with the device. Some car owners are worried about it, however, in fact, everything is quite simple. If you want to install efficiently and reliably this device on your vehicle, be extremely careful and do everything according to the requirements.

If you are installing a Pantera car alarm on a vehicle with mechanical box gear, and the model you have selected is a remote start device, you must install a magnetic switch. Otherwise, you may well have problems with the remote alarm triggering option.

You need to know what interlocking devices are used in your car and what color wire you need to connect to interact with the car alarm options. You should also know how to wire the relay for the vehicle door lock option.

Installation of the Panther alarm, step-by-step work progress

The siren must be installed in the engine compartment, not accessible place... Make sure it is located away from moving or combustible parts of the motor.

Fit the switch contacts in the bonnet and trunk. It is necessary to choose a grounded place where water cannot affect their performance. The switches must be installed in such a way that they do not interfere with the opening or closing of the bonnet.

The LED should be installed on the dashboard or in line of sight to provide a deterrent. The light must be clearly visible from the outside of the vehicle and from the driver's seat. The antenna must be installed under the belt line of the dashboard for best reception.

Mount the control switch and manual switch in an accessible place. This place can be the glove compartment or the lower section of the panel.

Mount the relay where the ignition switch solenoid wire begins. It must be secured with a cable around the relay wires.

Test the functionality of all functions using the attached instructions.

Panther key fob, if the key fob is broken or lost, how to connect a new key fob to the alarm, step by step instructions

If any part of the system breaks down, you can conduct an event such as flashing the Pantera car alarm. In other words, it is necessary to replace the broken element with a new one by connecting it to the system. You can do this yourself.

If you have broken or lost the key fob, buy a new one and connect it to the car alarm, for which you open the old key fob and see what type is included in the set with the device. There are two types of key chains:

  1. The signal transmission frequency is 308 MHz.
  2. The signal transmission frequency is 434 MHz.

You can open the keychain with a screwdriver, inside which you will find a crystal oscillator. On it you will see the number of the signal transmission frequency.

When the necessary kit is purchased, proceed with the car alarm firmware. Under the steering wheel of the vehicle, you will see the clutch pedal, hood opening lever and safety block located there.

To install a new key fob, you need to find the switch located in the front compartment safety block... Put it in the "Install" position. Next, press any button on one remote control, and then on the second. Then change the position of the switch to the "Off" position. The Panther alarm firmware will enable the new remote control to connect to the system.

Pantera car alarm presented on the market in weight different types that are able to satisfy the safety requirements of even the most capricious car owners. Some of them are enough simple devices, which can only emit an alarm sound during unauthorized opening of the trunk or doors.

More complex options are characterized by a unique warning signal which is easy to identify in case of danger. Through several sensors that are connected to a central computer, the car alarm is triggered by stimuli such as the sound of breaking glass or suspicious activity that occurs in the immediate vicinity.

Buying a new vehicle is a big investment, so it makes sense to think about its safety. The mass of options for models of car alarms Panther gives great possibilities for both your budget and personal preferences.

Among all the variety of different security alarms existing today, the Panther system is especially popular. This is largely due not only to high reliability this system, but also, to a large extent, the simplicity of its installation on different models cars, as well as the availability of detailed recommendations explaining how to connect a panther alarm.

But for the siren the best place, just, exactly in the engine compartment - in a place well protected from third-party access. The main thing is that it is not close to moving and very hot engine elements. To prevent the accumulation of moisture in this unit, its bell should be directed downward. Attach the siren with a bracket and a few screws.

The set of the "Panther" system necessarily includes a limit switch, with the help of which the protection of the car hood is ensured. This switch should be installed on a metal surface connected to the common "ground" where moisture does not collect, for example, on the side surfaces of the fenders in the area of the hood (trunk). At correct installation the limit switch must have at least 6 mm of travel when closing the hood (as well as the trunk, if there is a second, similar switch).

A red LED signaling the state of the security system is placed on the dashboard in a place that is clearly visible from the outside of the car and, at the same time, the indicator should not distract the driver. Before you start drilling a hole for it, you should first make sure that there are no wires and other elements on the back side.

Determining the location for the Valet switch requires special imagination, since, on the one hand, it should be easily accessible, and on the other, an attacker should not quickly find it and turn off the alarm.

The most convenient place for the shock sensor is a solid surface between engine compartment and salon (from the side of the salon). Sometimes it is fastened with constrictions under dashboard or on the steering column. In any case, the sensor must be good access to make adjustments.

The standard wiring diagram for the panther car alarm provides the following distribution (in accordance with color coding) and the connection of the main wires:

  • The wire white blinking side lights when the system is triggered, as well as at the time of arming and disarming, it is connected to the side lights circuit (if the circuit is negative polarity, then through an additional relay);
  • The red wire intended for powering the system through a + 12V fuse is connected to the positive terminal of the battery ";
  • White / red power wire with voltage + 12V of the central unit - through a fuse it is connected to the red wire;
  • White / black wire for the siren output - through the rubber grommet is laid to the siren installation site;
  • The wire is dark - of blue color used to open the trunk remotely - connected to terminal 85 of the auxiliary relay. Please note that connecting this wire directly to the lock circuits is strictly prohibited;
  • The green / white wire that controls the interior lighting when the "Panic" mode is triggered, as well as at the moment of disarming - the wire is connected to terminal 86 of the additional relay ";
  • Black wire "ground" - connected to the negative terminal of the storage battery;
  • Dark / green wire (-) of the hood (trunk) trigger, when it is shorted to ground, the system is instantly triggered - stretches to the hood (trunk) limit switches;
  • Purple wire (+) of door trigger - regardless of the number of doors, it is connected to only one limit switch;
  • The purple wire (-) of the door trigger - as in the previous case, goes to the door end switch;
  • The yellow wire for controlling the presence of power at the ignition lock is connected to the wire of the ignition lock, on which, when the key is turned, + 12V appears;
  • Starter Interlock Orange Wire - Connects to Auxiliary Relay Terminal # 86. In this case, terminal # 85 is connected to the wire of the ignition switch, on which, at the moment of starting the engine, a constant voltage of + 12V is generated.

When installing the antenna wire, it is pulled out to its full length and installed in a place where it is difficult to damage it during vehicle operation.
