Under no circumstances mix different brands of oil, and when replacing, first flush the system with a flushing compound, then fill in a new fluid.

Replacement

Now we start directly to work. There is nothing difficult here, so even a beginner can cope with the task.

  1. Prepare in advance a container where you will drain the used lubricant from the engine. A regular 5 liter plastic bottle is fine. Plus, you need a funnel to avoid overshooting and spilling oil on the floor.
  2. Warm up the engine. On a hot engine, the oil becomes less viscous, which allows it to more efficiently and quickly exit the system when draining.
  3. Park the machine on a level surface, engage the handbrake.
  4. Proceed to remove the old grease. For this, the motor protection is removed, if any.
  5. Place a container for draining under the oil pan and unscrew the drain plug with a 17 key.
  6. Do not forget that the oil is hot, so unscrew it carefully in order to avoid burns.
  7. After removing the drain plug, wait about 10-15 minutes for all the oil to drain into the prepared container.
  8. In parallel with changing the engine oil, it is recommended to change the oil filter. This can be done while the grease is being drained. The filter is unscrewed with a special wrench or a screwdriver, breaking through the body. In its place, a new oil cleaner is installed.
  9. When the grease is completely drained, replace the plug.
  10. Pour some oil into a new filter. This must be done in several approaches so that the element has time to absorb the substance. Fill about half of the filter level, that's enough.
  11. Be sure to oil the sealing gum of the filter and wipe it dry with a dry cloth at the seat of the filter device. Put the filter back in place, tighten it by hand.
  12. Next, you need to either simply fill in fresh oil, or flush the system. Nowadays, in any auto parts store, you can find a variety of rinsing products. Take one of them and follow the instructions. Once rinsing is complete, you can refill with new grease.
  13. To fill, open the cover on the motor and start gradually pouring liquid through the funnel.
  14. Fill in about 3 liters and wait for the grease to distribute through the system.
  15. Add 500 ml more fluid gradually. In parallel, check the amount of oil in the crankcase using a dipstick. If you have not flushed the system, you will probably have to fill in a little less than 3.5 liters. This is due to the imperfection of the drain system.
  16. Make sure that the dipstick shows the mark between the maximum and minimum lubricant levels.
  17. Screw the cap back on, start the engine and let it idle for a while. This will allow the fluid to fill the filter and channels.
  18. After starting the engine, the red oil pressure indicator light will come on. After 10 seconds it will go out. If the lamp does not go out, most likely you have screwed on the filter poorly. Check it out.
  19. Stop the engine, take the dipstick again and check the actual level of lubricant in the crankcase. If necessary, add a little liquid to the optimum level.
  20. When completing work, be sure to check the system for traces of oil leaks. If the guard was removed, put it back in place.
