2 1 Product Description Congratulations! Your car is protected by Cesar Skybrake DD2+ immobilizer system with anti-theft function. To increase the efficiency of the system specifically for immobilizers Cesar Skybrake was created unique technology DD (Double Dialogue) wireless connection. This technology provides highly anti-jamming, anti-scan, and "vehicle-friendly" information exchange between multiple security system modules located in the vehicle. A vehicle equipped with this system can only be used if the personal transceiver (tag) is in the reception area. The range of the tag is about 7 meters. Attention A card with a hidden under protective layer PIN code. This PIN code is required for emergency shutdown your immobilizer. 2
3 2 Product use No driver action is required to turn the Cesar Skybrake system on or off. For engine start Your machine requires the personal transceiver (tag) to be with you. The system will allow you to start the engine without a mark, but in this case, after 20 seconds from the moment the ignition is turned on, you will hear warning signals, and after another 35 seconds, the engine will be blocked and then it will not be possible to start it until the tag with a unique code programmed in the system is again in the reception area or until the "Individual emergency unlock code" is used. The anti-burglary function of the Cesar Skybrake immobilizer is activated if the tag is no longer in the passenger compartment of your car when the engine is running. For the first 80 seconds, the Cesar Skybrake DD2+ control unit, located in the car, continues to “wait” for a signal from the tag. If the signal from the tag is not received by the block within the allotted time, warning signals sound for 1 minute, for the next 35 seconds the system issues short sound signals, after which the engine is blocked. 3
4 If the car engine is blocked, you will hear a series of continuous short beeps when you turn on the ignition. If you hear warning sounds while driving inside the vehicle, stop driving immediately and contact your installation center. 3 PIN code (individual emergency code) It is used to emergency disable the immobilizer in case of loss or malfunctions with the tag and consists of four digits (for example: 3, 2, 4, 1). When the ignition is turned off or a working mark appears in the zone, the immobilizer returns to working condition. The "individual emergency shutdown code" of your immobilizer is located on the card included in the equipment kit and is hidden by a protective layer. When the immobilizer is locked (ignition on), a warning buzzer sounds. 4

6 4 Disabling the anti-theft function (using the universal disable code) To disable the anti-theft function, you must do the following: Remove the batteries from all tags located in the reception area. Turn on the ignition. Wait for the moment when the car engine is blocked (after about 55 seconds). Switch off the ignition. Turn on the ignition and start counting the pauses between sound signals, when their number coincides with 10, turn off the ignition. Similarly, you must enter the remaining digits of the code 1,2,3. You will be warned about disabling the anti-robbery function by a short beep every time the ignition is turned on and the present label is read. To turn on the anti-robbery function, you need to perform the same actions as when turning it off. 6
7 5 Checking the health tag The battery life of the tag (CR2430 battery) is approximately 12 months. If, after starting the car engine, the system gives a series of three double beeps, you need to replace the tag battery with a new one. If the tag is in the car, but the engine does not start (blocked), it is necessary to check the battery condition of the Cesar Skybrake DD2+ tag: 1) turn off the ignition, open the tag housing and remove the battery from the electronic board; 2) place the battery back into the holder, observing the polarity; 3) a few seconds after installing the battery, you need to pay attention to the operation of the LED located on the electronic board of the tag: it should blink, which indicates normal condition batteries. If the LED does not flash, the battery needs to be replaced; 4) turn on the ignition and wait for the LED to flash again. This will confirm that a normal radio link has been established between the system and the tag. The car engine will be unlocked. 7

When handing over the car for service, leave a mark in the car interior, for example in the glove compartment. 6 Warranty period The Cesar Skybrake DD2+ warranty period is 12 months from the date of installation. The warranty is valid if installed system does not work due to the fault of its manufacturer or the materials used. The warranty is not provided if the product has been mechanically damaged, improperly installed or misused. The warranty does not apply to the CR battery. — Good afternoon, Alexey! SkyBrake immobilizers are not equipped with emergency shutdown buttons. To start the car, disable the SkyBrake immobilizer completely. Distinctive feature of these systems is an ultra-compact case (slightly larger than a USB flash drive), which combines both a control unit and a blocking relay.
This allows anti-theft system installers to mount these systems in the most discreet way and in the most unusual places. For example, weave it into a wiring harness, mount it into the body of regular car blocks, etc.
If you manage to find the SkyBrake immobilizer unit, disconnect it from the car's wiring, and restore the blocked circuit.

CONSUMER ANALYSIS
Despite the old age for anti-theft systems (the immobilizer appeared on the market several years ago), SkyBrake DD2 + does not give in to numerous successors of the under-hood immobilizers: it lacks obvious punctures in terms of energy consumption and anti-theft algorithms, and in terms of reliability, the system is on top. On the other hand, one cannot fail to note such shortcomings as the inability to work with the hood lock, an invariable pin code and rather large radio tags.Design
The design of the ancestor of engine compartment immobilizers has already become a classic of the genre. The SkyBrake DD2+ features two small active RFID tags and an ultra-compact base unit with a built-in lockout relay sized to be woven into the engine wiring harness under the hood.
Anti-theft capabilities
The SkyBrake DD2+ immobilizer is able to block one engine circuit using the blocking relay built into the base unit with maximum load 30 A. When the ignition is turned on, the base unit immediately starts polling the radio in search of a tag. If the label is not found, then the immobilizer allows the driver to start the engine once for 55 seconds, while the first 25 seconds he behaves quietly, and then starts to emit warning signals. If at this time the driver or the hijacker tries to restart the engine, the lock will turn on 10 seconds after the restart, regardless of how much time was up to this point. All subsequent attempts to turn the ignition off and on will result in engine blocking with a two-second delay.
By the way, during blocking, the immobilizer constantly emits short beeps, which, of course, unmasks. And although the beeper itself has a remote design, the base unit with a built-in relay will no longer be safe after the beeper is detected, because the immobilizer cannot control the hood lock.
The immobilizer pin code cannot be changed: its 4-digit value is hardwired at the factory. You can find out this code by erasing protective covering on plastic card that comes with the anti-theft system.
Anti-robbery
The “anti-landing” algorithm in Skybrake DD2+ is implemented according to a scheme common for under-hood immobilizers: while driving, the immobilizer constantly polls the tag, and if the latter disappears, the anti-hijack function is activated. The anti-theft system starts a 110-second report, after which the engine will be locked, and warning signals will sound for the last 35 seconds. With such an anti-burglary algorithm, a great responsibility falls on the sound detector: due to interference, it often happens that the base unit does not see the tag located in the cabin, and no one else can warn the driver about this.

The main unit communicates with tags at a frequency of 2.4 GHz, the maximum range is limited to 5 meters, and the confidentiality of the radio message is guaranteed by a dialogue coding system. As studies have shown, the radio channel of the SkyBrake DD2+ immobilizer cannot be considered the most perfect: for example, there are 80 possible radio channels, but in reality, when the tag and the base unit contact, communication occurs only on one channel, and even then experts tend to believe that the transmission speed is not declared 1 Mbit / s, but much less. Simply put, the capabilities of the radio path are not used 100%, and this negatively affects the maximum possible length of the code message. However, this minus belongs to the category of theoretical ones, with a reserve for the future, since it is not possible to hack the dialogue radio exchange now: too high frequency and too short radio exchange time.
By the way, the actual range of the "block-tag" bundle depends very much on the installation location of the base unit and interference: car owners often complain about the loss of communication with the tag while the car is moving.
Energy consumption
When measuring the "appetite" of the base unit, the experts came to unequivocal conclusions: the Skybrake DD2 + base unit is the most voracious of all the samples under study. However, if we talk about absolute values, everything is not so sad: in normal mode the unit consumes 42 mA, and in blocking mode - 107 mA, for a working generator, these values \u200b\u200bare like a pellet to an elephant, and when the ignition is off, the immobilizer does not consume anything at all.
The energy consumption of the tag is much more important, because being somewhere on the track with a dead battery is not a pleasant pleasure, especially if you take into account all the troubles with entering a pin code. So, most of the time the tag works in a fairly economical mode, consuming about 50 μA, only periodically “waking up” for a control message with a consumption of 10 mA. This mode of operation cannot be called too energy-consuming, however, it does not claim to be the most economical: on average, the batteries last for 6-12 months, and this despite the fact that the label uses a more powerful battery than competitors.
