The UMZ-6 excavator is built on the basis of the tractor of the same name, produced from 1970 to 2001 by the Southern Machine-Building Plant. Wheeled vehicles were designed for agricultural work. The engine power of the YUMZ-6 excavator was determined by its model. The factory D-65 produced 60 hp, and the D-242-71 - 62 hp. The D-65 power unit was supplemented with an electric starter starting engine. The rated speed of the crankshaft was 1800 rpm.

The transmission system of the YuMZ-6 tractor-excavator consists of a five-speed gearbox with a two-line dry clutch. The car develops a speed of up to 24.5 km / h. The gearbox is equipped with double gears. Some tractor models were supplemented with a reducer-reducer. The specific fuel consumption of the YuMZ-6 reaches 185 g / h.p. * h. Modifications

During the work on YuMZ-6, the Yuzhny Machine-Building Plant not only produced more than 100 thousand cars, but also offered the consumer several special modifications:

  • YuMZ-6L, outwardly reminiscent of MTZ-50, were distinguished by a rounded radiator grill. The car was equipped with a starting motor;
  • YuMZ-6AL - a car with a steering rack adjustable in height and angle, a modified dashboard, a rectangular hood and structural modifications in the brake system;
  • YuMZ-6KL is an industrial modification of the tractor, produced without a rear hinged system. Instead, the manufacturer installed standard mounts for bulldozer and excavator equipment. In fact, it is the YUMZ-6KL modification that can be considered as an excavator. After the first model YUMZ-6A was discontinued, this version took the place of the base one. An agricultural machine was developed on its basis;
  • YuMZ-6AK - was first released in 1978. The cab of the equipment was distinguished by better visibility, and the hydraulic system was equipped with power and positional control.

Application

Modification of the YUMZ-6 tractor with excavator equipment has become widespread among the domestic consumer. Despite the fact that the machines have been out of production for a long time, the technician continues to work on farms of various types.

Initially, the YUMZ-6KL model with a 65-horsepower engine and excavator equipment was intended for use in construction and public utilities. Relatively small dimensions and high productivity became the key to the success of the machine in Russia. Powertrain, transmission and hydraulics

The volume of the D-65 engine is 4.95 liters. The volume of the D-242-71 engine is 4.75 liters. The technical characteristics of the power units regulate the crankshaft rotation speed, which is 1,800 revolutions per minute.

The YuMZ excavator has a 5-speed gearbox, which is equipped with a dry clutch. The drive shaft and the power take-off shaft are interconnected. The parts of the box are lubricated by splashing oil. The gearbox is controlled using the gear shift lever and the lock lever. The transmission specifications guarantee a speed of 24.5 km / h and a climbing angle of 10 °.

The YUMZ excavator (cockerel) loader has a hydraulic system of the aggregate type, which consists of the following components:

  1. Oil TANK, which serves as a reservoir for hydraulic fluid. Located on the left side for better oil level control. This is convenient for the tractor driver.
  2. Hydraulic distributor - 2 pcs. The hydraulic circuit implies the presence of a liquid flow distributor for better control of excavator mechanisms.
  3. Gear pump. The hydraulic circuit is completed with standard pumps of the NSh-71 and NSh-100 types. The pumps are driven through a splined coupling from the transmission gear. The pump gears are cast in one piece with the shafts.
  4. Hydraulic cylinders. The power cylinders of the hydraulics raise, lower the bucket and the blade of the YuMZ EO excavator. The cylinders are attached with brackets.
  5. High pressure pipes and hoses are required to supply oil to the EO 2621 hydraulic system units.


Equipped with power steering for better control. The power steering activates the NSh-10 pump.

Operation and equipment

The excavator based on YuMZ 6 is adapted to work in a wide temperature range, is reliable and versatile in use. It copes with heat and has a great start at -40 ° C.
