The manufacturer's warranty is valid with the mandatory and timely performance of inspection (diagnostic) and routine maintenance at the ACC performing these works under an agreement with UAZ LLC.

Warranty period for cars:

  • Warranty service for UAZ Patriot, UAZ Pickup is 36 months or 100,000 km of run, whichever comes first;
  • Warranty service for UAZ Hunter - 12 months or 30,000 km, whichever comes first.

The warranty period starts from the moment the dealer hand over the vehicle to the consumer.

All UAZ Patriot models of the 2016 model year are guaranteed against perforating corrosion of body parts for a period of 6 years or 130,000 thousand km of run, whichever comes first, subject to regular body inspections at UAZ dealerships, in accordance with the provisions of the service book.

For individual parts, a warranty period of shorter duration is established (clutch parts, gaskets of various types (except for the block head gasket), rubber boots and protective covers (in the absence of mechanical damage), interior trim parts, battery, shock absorbers, rubber suspension elements, rubber mountings for units , hub bearings, steering tips, exhaust system elements, seats).

Does not apply to warranty repairs and are performed at the expense of the consumer:

  • Regular maintenance (MOT), as well as materials consumed during maintenance;
  • Replacement of wearing parts (lamps, fuses, filters, high-voltage wires, nozzles, spark plugs, etc.);
  • Damage and malfunctions caused by violation of the rules for operating the vehicle, incl. neglect of routine maintenance, the use of a car in races, rallies and other sports events, the use of grades of fuel, oils or refueling liquids not recommended by the manufacturer, the use of contaminated or low-quality grades of fuel, oils or refueling fluids, changes in the design or equipment of the vehicle, not agreed with UAZ LLC;
  • Replacement of parts subject to natural wear and tear, including drive belts, wiper blades, clutch disc, brake pads, discs, tires;
  • Damage to the paintwork of the body and chassis parts resulting from external influences, including as a result of mechanical action of road surface elements (crushed stone, gravel, sand, etc.) and as a result of exposure to chemically active substances (salt, anti-icing agents, plant sap etc.) atmospheric phenomena, waste products of birds and animals.

Do not open seals, labels or stickers on instrumentation, electrical components, fuel injection systems and the engine, because this will void your warranty.

Quite often, friends and relatives ask me a question about the guarantee. They say that you are going to go through everything, and you will not go beyond the operating regulations. Is there a reason? What does this guarantee of yours give, besides the hassle of visiting a dealer every few months? In general, I myself began to ask this question and decided to study the issue more thoroughly.

I consider it somewhat unreasonable to search for information on this matter on the Web, since for the most part, the data vary greatly, and, apparently, this depends on the author's mood and his attitude towards the UAZ, and is not based on official data.

I decided to go the other way. Everything is quite simple: we open the car's service book and read what it says about the warranty.

Provided the buyer observes the section of the service book "Consumer responsibility", the warranty applies to the car, regardless of the place of purchase and affiliation of the trading organization. Responsibility for the repair and maintenance of the vehicle rests with the official dealer of OJSC "UAZ" or ACC.
The warranty is valid with the mandatory and timely completion of the control examination and routine maintenance at the ACC, which perform such work under an agreement with the manufacturer.


Warranty period.

The declared service life of the car.
7 years or 130,000 (one hundred thirty thousand) kilometers. This is the period during which JSC "UAZ" undertakes to provide the owner with the opportunity to use the car for its intended purpose.

Parts and assemblies with a limited warranty period.
Time limit or mileage limit, whichever comes first:

  • 6 months or 1000 km: lambda probe and catalyst;
  • 12 months or 25,000 km: clutch, various gaskets (except for the cylinder head gasket), rubber boots, protective covers, cuffs and oil seals, fuel pump, interior trim parts, battery, electroplated body parts.
  • 12 months or 50,000 km: shock absorbers, rubber suspension elements, rubber mountings for units, hub bearings, steering tips, exhaust elements, seats, glass, stickers
  • 24 months walk 50,000 km: propeller shafts, brake hoses, suspension springs and springs, steering universal joint, steering intermediate shaft support, steering knuckle joints, door locks, power steering, power steering pump and hoses.

At the expense of the car owner, the following operations are performed:

  • regular maintenance

The warranty also does not cover:

  • weak extraneous sounds, noises and vibration, if they do not affect the characteristics and performance of the car and its elements.
  • on rubber parts and parts, washer nozzles and parking brake cables
  • the formation of oil stains in the area of ​​the oil seals and seals, if they do not affect the oil consumption
  • slight fogging of the headlights, which disappears a few minutes after they are turned on.

Warranty for paintwork.

The absence of defects in the paintwork is guaranteed for 24 months or 50,000 km, whichever comes first, from the moment the car is handed over to the buyer by the seller.

One of the main conditions for maintaining the guarantee for the paintwork is regular inspection of the body at the dealer's center of OJSC "UAZ".

The warranty does not apply to cases of damage to the paintwork as a result of:

  • mechanical impact of road surface elements;
  • exposure to chemically active substances, atmospheric phenomena, waste products of birds and animals.

In the end, everyone chooses for himself: to keep the warranty and follow the manufacturer's strict rules for servicing the Patriot, or to service the car independently and not use the warranty. I chose the first option because unfortunately, my knowledge in the field of diagnostics and repair of vehicles on Patriot is completely lacking.

Warranty obligations of the Technical Center UAZ777 for the work performed, installed spare parts, accessories and additional equipment:

  • suspension and chassis of UAZ - 2 months without mileage limitation;
  • new UAZ transmission units - 6 months without mileage limitation;
  • UAZ transmission units repaired or remanufactured - 4 months without mileage limitation;
  • new UAZ engine - 6 months without mileage limitation;
  • UAZ engine (piston, cylinder block and cylinder head) remanufactured - 4 months without mileage limitation;
  • body repair and painting of UAZ - 4 months without mileage limitation;
  • car audio, anti-theft systems and UAZ electronics - one year without mileage limitation;
  • new UAZ starters and generators - 4 months without mileage limitation;
  • repaired UAZ starters and generators - 1 month without mileage limitation;
  • UAZ oil seals - 3 months without mileage limitation;
  • descent collapse of UAZ (adjustment of the angles of steering wheels of UAZ) - 7 days, no more than 100 km;
  • repair and refueling of the UAZ air conditioner - 2 months without mileage limitation;
  • air conditioner installed in UAZ777 - 6 months without mileage limitation;
  • turbocharging * - 6 months, or 20,000 km of run.

* Before making a decision on the warranty repair of the TURBOTMOTOR and its components, an autopsy is mandatory, and, if necessary, an examination.

Malfunctions caused by reasons:

  • low-quality fuel;
  • contamination of the oil system, the use of low-quality oil;
  • abrasive wear of the turbine (intake suction, dirty oil);
  • detonation destruction of engine parts;
  • overheating of the engine;

ARE NOT a warranty, and are not eligible for free removal.

For other parts and work not specified above - 6 months without mileage limitation. Warranty obligations are subject to fulfillment only if the rules for operating the vehicle established by the manufacturer and the operating manual are observed.

The warranty does not apply / is lost for:

  • spare parts, add. equipment, car audio, security systems, etc. provided by the client (not purchased from us), the cost of removing and installing defective parts is paid in full.
  • defects caused by low-quality fuel, accident;
  • in case of untimely (as soon as possible) elimination of arising warranty malfunctions;
  • transmission, suspension and chassis assemblies, as well as automotive electrical parts for vehicles that took part in sports competitions and overcoming difficult terrain;
  • on transmission, engine and electrical / electronic assemblies in which liquid or traces of liquid ingress will be detected;
  • on the oil seals of the transmission, engine and brakes (hydraulics), if dirt, plants, clay, etc., are found in large quantities in them during disassembly;
  • on the rear axle half-axle, gearbox parts and front wheel drives of cars with self-locking and forced differentials installed in the corresponding axles, not provided by the manufacturer;
  • suspension and transmission parts for "elevated" cars;
  • any other defects associated with malfunctions caused by changes in the design of the car, not provided by the manufacturer;
  • on lamps, fuses;
  • for defects in tires and rims caused by mechanical damage;
  • delivery of a car that has lost the ability to move independently due to a warranty event is not covered by the warranty and is not paid;

Most of the clauses and clauses are written to protect against “consumer extremists”.
