Watched Opel Zafira, Ford S-Max, Mitsubishi Grandis, Chrysler Voyager. Compacts flew off by themselves, the “American” is too expensive. The French did not look at either compact vans or minivans. I didn't watch WV Sharan because I was very old model and swing doors.
At the end there were 2 candidates left. Kia Carnival and Ford Galaxy. They are about the same price, and Ford will be even more expensive.
But the most big disadvantages Ford for me:

First, about the unpleasant
1. Dealers who sell Carnival, and Kia in general, are mainly former dealers AvtoVAZ. They sold me nothing - the sales manager did a great job. But the service from this dealer is just a nightmare. I recently drove to the Tula region and back (500 km there and back) - average consumption 13.5-14 l. But it is 92, unlike the Mazda6 with 95.
3. The car is new, little known. I could barely find the rugs. There is a problem with rims and wheels. Nobody knows about the disk parameters. Of the “non-native” ones there is only stamping, KFZ. There are no cast ones at all, only original ones. Maybe the Pajero will fit the parameters - I haven’t checked yet. I guess I should go to the store and try them on one by one. Even the almighty *** could not program the remote control key for the central locker - although they later found a place where this could be done and programmed everything there. Yes, the same *** with difficulty, but the innate “jamb” of my copy prevailed - the car was pulled strongly to the left. Now it seems to have stopped. The masters never understood why this was so.
Now about the positive
1. Automatic transmission. Still a handy thing, especially in traffic jams! This was my first time driving an automatic in this car. At first I couldn’t get used to the fact that the engine roared loudly during kickdown, but now I seem to have gotten used to it. It is possible to overtake normally on the highway. I accelerated to 180 in it alone - it goes fine, it hasn’t gotten any higher yet
2. There is a lot of space in the car! Even compared to other vans - Caravan, Galaxy, Trajet, Grandis - there is more space here. The whole family fits and a stroller, you can walk. Outside he's not more jeep normal, but inside everything is more “correctly” planned. The seat pattern is 2 + 3 + 2. All seats except the front 2 are removable. I took the middle one in the second row. It turned out 2+2+2. Now you can go from any place to any place inside the car. True, there could be more shelves and drawers.
3. High seating position - everything is clearly visible, the seating position is higher than in normal jeeps, not to mention SUVs. It rides smoothly and doesn’t shake too much on bumps, like in a Mazda.
4. 3 air conditioners - 1 dual-zone in front and additionally rear separately controlled.
5. All seats are individually adjustable for tilt and back and forth (even on the 3rd row). An air duct is supplied to each - from below and on the ceiling. If necessary, they are folded and/or completely removed. My driver's seat is electrically adjustable, including height and lumbar support.
6. A full-fledged spare tire, and not a “collective farm” or complete absence of one as in the Galaxy/S-Max
7. Sliding doors - you can park in many places and in any situation you can get out of the car, especially without one seat in the middle row. It is quite comfortable to sit through them - there is a handle on the counter that you can hold on to.
8. All sorts of electrical gadgets - rain sensor, electric windows, seat drives, heated wiper area. He turns off the headlights and parking lights himself if he forgot.
9. Sound insulation seems to be better than in the Mazda6. For me, there is less noise from the road and engine noise.
Mixed impressions
1. Visibility. The left B-pillar gets in the way when trying to look back. First my wife noticed, then I noticed it too. But the presence of huge mugs - rear-view mirrors - compensates for this disadvantage. The front left pillar also interferes with visibility a little - it is quite massive.
2. Sound. I installed a 2DIN multimedia center from JVC. No bass at all! But most likely this is not a problem with the speakers that are in it. They say this a common problem J.V.C. I even thought about installing a subwoofer, but decided to wait for now. Mazda wasn’t very good at first either – then they got better...
3. Overclocking. Still, an automatic (4-speed) is not a “handle”. Compared to Mazda, everything happens differently here. Those. it accelerates well (still 189 hp), but it’s somehow more imposing, nothing like the “mechanics” - I pressed the pedal and it immediately rushed forward. But this is not particularly necessary, since the car is not for racing. For the same reason, the lack of ESP was not particularly upsetting.
4. Trunk. If the 3rd row is not removed, then it is almost gone. But this is a common problem with minivans. However, my stroller fits there. You just need to move the 3rd row forward a little. We are currently putting our purchases in place of the missing middle seat in the second row. If you go to long journey– you’ll have to put the box on the roof, since the roof rails are already there.
