What kind of oil to pour into a ZAZ chance 1.3. Suitable motor oils for Daewoo Sens. Original oil with the GM logo

INTRODUCTION

Compact car Daewoo Lanos with a transverse engine and front-wheel drive, first shown on Geneva Motor Show in 1997, represented the South Korean automaker in the very serious European size class C. Good performance and driving performance, comfort and stylish appearance combined with more than reasonable price made this car very popular among buyers. As often happens in such cases, the model became widespread and began to be produced under different brands and names in different countries: in Korea, in Vietnam, in Poland (Daewoo-FSO plant), in Ukraine (AvtoZAZ - Daewoo) and in Russia (“Doninvest”).

The Lanos model concept developed in 2007. Sens car, produced for domestic market Ukraine on Zaporozhye automobile plant. Like Lanos, the model is available in hatchback and sedan bodies. Since 2009, the model has been exported to Russia, where it is sold under the name ZAZ Chance.
The appearance of the car is practically no different from the Lanos prototype - a pleasant exterior and good quality of fit. The only differences are in the radiator grille, rear design and some finishing elements.
The interior is also slightly different from Lanos. There is peace and quiet inside the cabin thanks to excellent sound insulation. All panels are installed efficiently, the gaps are uniform. While driving, nothing creaks, the seats are comfortable and comfortable, there are enough adjustments so that a person of any height and build can choose the position he needs.
Volume luggage compartment with a completely flat floor it is enough to go on a short trip. However, if this volume becomes small, you can fold the backrests rear seats and thus get almost 640 liters of additional space.

In addition to the usual passenger versions, the model is offered as a van for commercial transport. The “heel” production technology is quite common: from passenger car take a platform with the front part of the body (along the B-pillars), instead rear doors between the posts and rear arches A load-bearing frame made of rectangular pipes is welded into the gaps. All this is covered with a fiberglass cap, extending onto the roof in front, and descending from the sides to the level of the thresholds. In the stern there are two doors of unequal width, which swing open to an angle of up to 180°. Volume cargo compartment the machine is 2.8 m3, and the load capacity is 550 kg. The large door opening and low loading height greatly facilitate loading and unloading operations.
The car is equipped with gasoline engines: 1.3-, 1.4- and 1.5-liter inline fours with distributed injection fuel capacity 70, 77 and 86 Horse power respectively. The 1.3-liter MeM3-307.C engine produced in Melitopol is the main difference between Sens and Lanos. By content harmful substances V exhaust gases this unit is environmentally friendly EURO standard III.
All engines are combined with a five-speed gearbox manual transmission gears, originally designed for Tavria. Clear gear shifting is not satisfactory, and acceleration from zero to 100 km/h, provided by this transmission, takes about 15 seconds. Moderately short movements of the lever, soft gear engagement and slightly slower operation of the synchronizers favor a measured, unhurried driving style.
The Ukrainian bestseller took everything from its ancestor best quality. So, chassis with McPherson-type front struts, despite its simplicity, it is quite reliable and at the same time moderately rigid. The car has no rocking or yaw when moving. TO rear suspension There are no complaints either, since the design in the form of a twisting beam has proven itself to be extremely positive over many years.
The steering mechanism is available with or without power assistance. The amplifier version has less gear ratio, therefore reacts more sharply to steering behavior. The amplifier itself operates with a variable gain, which depends on the speed of movement. On high speed it practically turns off, and when parking and low speeds, it makes turning the steering wheel as easy as possible. The advantage of the steering mechanism is its layout. The steering rods are attached to the rotating arms of the telescopic struts not at the bottom, as in most front-wheel drive foreign cars, but at the top. This design avoids deformation of steering rods upon contact with curbs and road defects.
There is no reason to worry about the operation of the car in winter period, when tons of reagents are poured onto the roads, which negatively affect the condition of the body, since the entire body (including the roof) is covered with a zinc-nickel composition.
Ease of operation and repair, quality, reliability, and availability of spare parts make the car not only attractive, but also elevate it to a slightly different, higher rank compared to classmates in this price range.
This manual provides instructions for the operation and repair of all modifications car ZAZ Sens/Chance/Sens PickUp.

Hello! Please help me decide between motor oils for auto Daewoo Sens 2007. mileage 55,000 km – LIQUI MOLY SAE 10W-40 MoS2 LEICHTLAUF, Хado atomic oil 10w-40 sl/cf or HX7 10W-40 + (3 tubes of revitalizant for gasoline engine) or without an additive, or maybe you can advise something else, in this moment filled with Shell. Frequent trips over short distances. (Anton)

Hello Anton. Thank you for contacting us with your question.

What kind of liquid should I pour?

This question is relevant for many motorists. Selected by you motor oils— Xado and Liqui Moly are high-quality consumables. We cannot say for sure which one will be better, but all three types have stood the test not only of time, but also of trials. And Shell Helix, and Xado, and Liqui Moly are reliable Consumables. more details about reviews domestic motorists You can find out about these liquids on our resource by using the search.

Here the choice is a personal matter for everyone. The main thing is that the product being purchased is of high quality and manufactured and that all technologies are used, which can be found out from the product label. By buying MM from dubious stores, you doom yourself to possible problems in future. After all, using a low-quality substance will not bring any good. Therefore, high-quality “semi-synthetics”, and not a fake, will be able to perform all the functions assigned to it.

If you have Shell Helix filled and you do not plan to flush the engine before replacing, then it is better to fill in the fluid from this particular company. When the “waste” is drained, the entire composition will not be able to leave the engine; part of the waste substance will remain in the system in any case. Therefore in in this case It’s better to pour MM of this particular brand. But if you flush the engine, and do it efficiently, then you can pour any MM.

And remember - using the most expensive MM does not guarantee better job ICE. Even inexpensive material that meets all the requirements of the Deu Sens engine will be able to perform all the functions assigned to it. And you don’t have to overpay for it.

So, dear readers. The time has come for us to discuss which motor oil is best suited for the pride of the Ukrainian automobile industry, people's car ZAZ LANOS, aka DAEWOO LANOS, aka DAEWOO CHANCE, aka CHEVROLET LANOS.
For the sake of objectivity, we will look at this small but proud bird under the microscope of the chronology of production in the world:

OPEL KADETT– indeed, the A15SMS 1 5 engine installed on DEO LANOS is a modified version of the G15MF 1.5 (installed on Daewoo Nexia before restyling), which, in turn, was copied from Opel engine C16NZ, designed back in the 80s. For such Opel engines at one time recommended motor oil class API SF/SG/SH (one version) and API SF/SE (recommended in more than one version) old instructions manual).

The answer is clear - yes, nothing will happen, but with the caveat “for how long” or “how long to ride it.” After all, in the 70s there was no concept of “extended oil change interval” and oils were worn out much earlier than modern ones. It was from this era that the opinion came to us that if the oil has darkened, it needs to be changed urgently.
Those who are particularly savvy have probably already guessed that since the “old” version of the instructions recommends more outdated classes of oil, and the “new” version recommends more modern ones - then the more modern oil- the better it is. And there is a grain of truth here. But our task now is not just to find out “which oil is the best in the universe”, but to determine that golden mean between “MOST” and “UNREASONABLY EXPENSIVE”, because among the owners of DEO LANOS you rarely meet a person who is ready to spend easy money on an oil change. At the same time, you need to figure out which product will BEST prove itself in price segment the owner of “our hero”.

1.Original oil under the GM logo.

Since the DEU LANOS is stuffed from head to toe with logos of this brand, many quite rightly believe that original GM oil should be poured there. Incredible, but true - GM does not produce the oil itself (just like other original oils). The oil is made for him by the one who offers the most favorable price for a product that meets the requirements stated by the car manufacturer. WHO ARE THEY? MANUFACTURERS? There are quite a lot of versions today: LUKOIL at factories in the Russian Federation, Turkey and Romania, the British “WOLF” (before that Castrol, Elf, Delco). Both versions have quite significant confirmation on “oil forums” - from certificates to photographs of canisters indicating the manufacturer. But for sure, we only know what we can see with our own eyes (see photo).

Yes, yes, in Turkey GM produces LUKOIL LUBRICANTS MIDDLE EAST MADENI YAĞ SAN. And all Turks, by the way, with a population of 80 million people, have been driving TURKISH GM for a long time (by the way, the vehicle fleet there is much fresher than ours, and there are generally more cars).

It also sounds quite plausible that the oil sold on the territory of Ukraine is, for the most part, the same Romanian LUKOIL plant, with the legal indication “made in EU” on the canister.

2. Oils of “domestic” production.

Since our online store www.site is located in Ukraine, from personal observations I can state the fact that about half of the owners of the “people's” car in Ukraine, over time, switch to cheap oil, often domestic production. In general, there is nothing wrong with this, but you should be careful and pay attention to the following when choosing domestic oil:
1) Viscosity index this product should have enough high level. And this is due to the fact that not all so-called “semi-synthetics” are produced using “synthetic raw materials”. Often manufacturers are cunning and, in order to reduce the cost of the product, replace the synthetic base with an unreasonably large number of viscosity additives. However, this does not make the oil “synthetic” or “semi-synthetic”. So it turns out that you are buying a “semi-synthetic”, but in fact it is a “mineral water” with a viscosity of 10w-40. Before buying oil, don’t be lazy, go to the manufacturer’s website and look at the plate with technical characteristics. If the viscosity index in it is about 130 units, this is probably the case. If the viscosity index is about 150 or more, then most likely you have a “real semi-synthetic”, “synthetic”, or “synthetic” product. In other words: the higher the viscosity index, the higher the safety margin!

2) API class- the higher, the better. Pay attention to the following: SN is better than SM, SM is better than SL, etc. descending - SN, SM, SL, SJ, SH, SG, SF (see API picture above). Accordingly, keep in mind that the SG class is a standard valid from 1989 to 1992, and SN appeared in 2011, and to this day there is nothing better than this class. Moreover, if API classes confirmed by the API itself (API - American Petroleum Institute or American Petroleum Institute) - generally excellent - which means this oil at least corresponds to the class that is written on its canister. If the API knows nothing about it, then no matter what class is written on the canister, it means absolutely nothing, and there is no confidence in the quality of this product NO (or under the guise of SN, for example, they sell you SG)! Judge for yourself: CASTROL, MOBIL, SHELL, TOTAL, ELF, and LIQUI MOLY are certified according to API classes, but some “pseudo-German” oil in a tin can is not. Draw conclusions. The easiest way to check this is directly on the API website - https://engineoil.api.org/Directory/EolcsSearch. Using the example in the photo below, you can verify that the quality level of the requested product corresponds to its description, officially verified by the American Petroleum Institute. By the way, LUKOIL oil has more than 70 such confirmations https://engineoil.api.org/Directory/EolcsProductResults?accountId=-1&brandName=lukoil

3. Viscosity

The optimal viscosity for our climate is SAE 5w-40 and 10w-40. But in general, AVTOZAZ, as you have already seen, regulates quite wide range(depending on the climatic conditions). IN latest edition The manual from ZAZ is 5w-40, 10w-40 and 15w-40 (according to one version of the manual, even 5w-30, although in fact there is no urgent need for such a “non-viscous” oil).

4. Availability of official approvals

Availability official approvals automakers - additional benefit. However, keep in mind that for the Lanos engine, there are no special requirements for approvals from GM. Requirements, by the way, as well as API classes, can be checked online. It is advisable to do this. Since recently, manufacturers of the so-called “GERMAN OIL” have entered the market, bottled in the same domestic factories, posing as a “quality German brand”. Read any approval on the canister and check its relevance with the information on the website of the issuer of the approval. For example:
Mercedes Benz - https://bevo.mercedes-benz.com/bevolisten/bevo-blaetter-sort1.html(select the required tolerance)
GM - www.centerforqa.com/dexos/ (select Dexos 1 or Dexos 2)
and so on.

In 2012, on the basis of Melitopol Motor plant" on ZAZ engine SENS ( younger brother Lanos) MEMZ-307 Public Joint Stock Company "ZAZ" tested LUKOIL LUX API-SL 5w-40 motor oil (note even "semi-synthetic") to assess its quality and possibility of use in production, according to the "FAILURE-FAILURE" engine test method. After this event, for the first filling at PJSC "ZAZ" during the assembly of ZAZ LANOS, ZAZ VIDA (clone Chevrolet AVEO) , ZAZ FORZA, ZAZ SENS it was decided to use LUKOIL TM oil. And under the hood of these cars there was a sign “ZAZ recommends LUKOIL LUX oil.”

Somehow, a few years ago, I came across a well-known forum about oils, from which I managed to borrow these photos:
