A new Russian-made presidential limousine "Cortege" has been declassified (16 photos). New ZIL for the president: photos, characteristics New ZIL limousine

The project "Cortege" (a domestic car for the President of Russia) actually blew up the Internet community and gave rise to many guesses and rumors. While Marussia Motors offers sketches of the future car, the ZIL-4112R is not even a prototype, but a full-fledged modern car. Employees of "Depo-ZIL" told the whole truth about the presidential limousine. A report from our colleagues from AvtoVesti.

Although they started talking about the Cortege project a couple of months ago, the Russian plant started developing a limousine for the head of state back in 2006. The exterior turned out to be in the classic style, which Brezhnev still drove, but the salon is in the best traditions of Rolls-Royce. There are, of course, in this car and things that few people like. The Zilovites themselves know about them. " The first is the headlights. Then - the wheels, their design. It's like good shoes. There are many questions in appearance. New technologies are changing the shape of the machine. For example, carbon fiber bumpers change the shape of a car. It took us a lot of effort to pull it up to the classic style.", - explains Sergey Sokolov.

The engine is still old, carbureted, develops 315 hp, but if the car goes into small-scale production, then it will be ordered from a third-party manufacturer. But the gearbox is new, automatic, six-speed, easily withstands 250 km / h. It was developed by the American company Allison by the order of the Depo-ZIL company (in the photo below, on the left, the old one, on the right, the new one).

General Director of "Depo-Zil" Sergei Sokolov: “ We contacted the two largest companies - ZF and Allison. The first creates transmissions for Europe, the second for America. But ZF specializes in transmissions for passenger cars. And Allison makes boxes for both cars and trucks. Our car is far from being a passenger car, so it was more logical to contact an American company. Moreover, Allison has a representative office in Russia, while ZF does not».

Not to say that the interior is not exciting is to say nothing. There are six seats in the ZIL-4112R cabin - four in the rear (two permanent and two folding) and two in the front (including the driver's). The rear seats of the presidential limousine are no worse than the seats in the Airbus A380 business class - just as comfortable, wide and soft. Naturally, as in the Maybach, you can sleep here by pulling the seat forward and reclining the back. Everything around is sheathed in beige leather and dark brown wood.

To be honest, a number of details (for example, buttons) are borrowed from Mercedes: “ It is possible to develop new ones, and we will definitely do this as soon as we receive a sign that a car is needed, a go-ahead. There is still a lot of work, and we are ready and want to do it, but in general - the plant has something to show to those who will choose the winner of the "Cortege" project».

At the push of a button, the chairs opposite fold and, together with the center console, turn into a kind of bar counter.

Also, there is a 220 volt outlet in the cabin, so you can easily work on a laptop. There is also a small refrigerator inside - and the contents will remain cold regardless of whether the car is started. There is also a bar, which was originally conceived as a special compartment for the "nuclear suitcase".

Sergey Sokolov: “ GON has specific requirements for the president's car. These are, firstly, special compartments. Secondly, protection against radio interference. Thirdly, it is protection against salt water. Of course, an armored capsule must be installed inside. And if you look closely, the seats have been pushed back to leave room for the armor plates. Inside it will be just as free, but the weight of the car will increase by one and a half to two tons».

The Sony infotainment system allows passengers to control media content and display images from outdoor cameras on the partition.

It is worth noting the air conditioner unit, they even received a patent for it. The task of dividing the rear compartment into zones with different temperatures was solved with the help of the so-called "chandelier", which creates an invisible but effective air curtain. The difference in temperature is up to six degrees. Zilovites are sure that there is no such thing in any other car. "Mercedes" and "Maybachs" are conventionally multi-zone, because the air is still mixed.

The dashboard is made in a classic style, but a number of data can be duplicated by the projection on the windshield.

The "door assembly" design is also patented. The fact is that on most limousines, the front and rear doors are separated by a blank wall of decent length. It is necessary for the rigidity of the body. And the Zilovites managed to do without a rack: thanks to a clever system of locks, when closed, the middle door is built into the body's power structure, in fact it turns into a middle pillar.

The car is already equipped with ABS and ESP systems, as well as airbags - front, front and side. Sergey Sokolov: “We work with Bosch. Together with them, we make a brake system. In theory, now the car would have to go to the Bosh test site for testing. They ask for a car for six months to set up the ABS and ESP work programs. Much time has passed since 2006, and they themselves offer us new solutions, new blocks ”.

Contrary to rumors, Vladimir Putin has not yet seen the car. But it depends on his decision whether the domestic ZIL-4112R will replace the current Mercedes. In any case, as the creators of the new ZiL say themselves, you can already make good money on the project. For example, selling the entire project to a third-party customer: " We have received such proposals, for example, from Saudi Arabia. But here the question is different: everyone involved in the creation of this machine would like to see it through to the end. I don't want to stop halfway. This project is an independent unit. He must move on".

Based on materials: "

The Internet is replete with reports about the "Cortege" project, within the framework of which a domestic car will be created for the President of Russia. But only the ZiL plant has a ready-made contender for victory in the competition. The President hadn’t seen the car yet, but AvtoVesti was able to thoroughly examine it.

Employees of "Depo-ZiL" (one of the subsidiaries of ZiL, which is working on the presidential limousine project) greeted us very warmly. And not because we already came to the workshop for the assembly of the famous limousines exactly a year ago to give more details to the readers of AvtoVestey. By the pride and knowledge of the business with which each employee talks about the new car, one can immediately see that in seven years the presidential limousine has become more than just a job for the Zilovites. And this is not a slip of the tongue. Although they started talking about the project "Cortege" only a few months ago, the development of the ZIL-4112R car began in 2006 - it was then that the factory designers drew the first sketches.

Aggregates

However, the main "sketch" was the limousines of the Soviet era. The current contender for the role of the presidential machine has retained their recognizable style - and structurally has a lot in common with them. However, one should not think that we are talking about the "restyling" of the car, which Brezhnev still drove. Rather, we have before us a cocktail of what has been kept unchanged, what has been thoroughly altered, and what has been invented again.

The length of the car is 6,430 cm. For comparison, it's like two Oka cars or one and a half Lada Grants.

The motor is a good example. The cylinder block is the same as that used on Soviet cars, but many parts (for example, the block head) and systems (exhaust or cooling system) have been improved or modernized. "The same 7.7-liter engine is installed on ZiL convertibles that take part in parades on Red Square," says Sergei Sokolov, general director of Depo-Zil. Euro-4 ". And yet later under the hood there will be a completely different engine. We have not yet decided where exactly we will order it, but we are talking about ordering from a third-party manufacturer. Now doing everything ourselves is a utopia. You can pay a reasonable amount and buy everything you need from companies that have been working in their field for many years. " The old Zilovsky engine (still a carburetor one!) Develops 315 hp. A new engine equipped with an injection system should produce 360-380 hp.

On the left is a Soviet-designed three-speed gearbox. On the right is a new six-speed "automatic" by the American company Allison

"We have a new transmission, automatic, six-speed. The old car at three-speed reached a speed of 200 km / h. There will be at least 250 km / h. If you wish, I think you can accelerate the car to 300 kilometers per hour, but this has a special meaning, "says Sokolov. The unit was developed by the American company Allison by the order of Depo-ZIL. Many world famous car manufacturers place similar orders there - after all, few of them produce gearboxes on their own. “We have contacted two of the largest companies - ZF and Allison. The first creates transmissions for Europe, the second for America. But ZF specializes in gearboxes for passenger cars. And Allison makes boxes for both cars and trucks. Our car is far from being a passenger car. , so it was more logical to turn to an American company, especially since Allison has a representative office in Russia, while ZF does not, "Sokolov says. According to him, the Americans created the turnkey box in two and a half years.

An impressive gap remains between the seats and the body wall. This is a stock for the installation of an armored capsule

Big Brother

The interior space of the car excites. As soon as the rear doors open, the gaze falls on the chic cream-colored leather interior. The seats in the presidential limousine are like the seats in the Airbus A380 business class. Wide, soft, comfortable. If you wish, you can push them forward, recline the backrest - and sleep almost like in bed. There are six seats in the car's interior - four in the rear (two permanent and two folding) and two in the front (including the driver's).

The entire interior is designed in the same style - beige leather and dark brown wood. The interior of the car, by the way, was sheathed by Russian craftsmen. According to Sokolov, representatives of a number of companies, Japanese and German, who came to ZiL, "admitted that the salon was sewn perfectly here. Russian entrepreneurs sewed, Russian designers came up with it."

True, a number of details (for example, buttons) are borrowed from Mercedes, which the Zilovites do not hide. "It is possible to develop new ones, and we will definitely do this as soon as we receive a sign that the car is needed, the go-ahead. There is still a lot of work, and we are ready and want to do it," says the general director of Depo-ZIL. There is still a lot to be brought to mind in the car, and the head of "Depo-ZiL" is ready to speak freely about each of these moments, but in general, the plant has something to show to those who will choose the winner of the "Cortege" project. And if the head of state appreciates the proposal of the Likhachev plant, the car will be brought to mind so that the mosquito will not undermine the nose.

Now the cabin is equipped with a Sony touchscreen display, which allows passengers to control the multimedia system, as well as display images from external cameras on the partition, which is also a screen.

The car is already equipped with ABS and ESP systems, as well as airbags - front, front and side. The partition between the driver's compartment and the main space of the passenger compartment is at the same time a screen on which you can display the image from cameras (up to infrared nighttime). "When the curtains are closed, passengers do not see anything around. So that there is no feeling of isolation, separation from the world, the camera turns on. It has a 180-degree viewing angle. Sergey Sokolov.

The chairs opposite the main seats fold down at the touch of a button and, together with the center console, turn into a kind of bar counter

You can already take out a laptop and work - there is a 220-volt socket in the cabin. The general light can be turned off by leaving the spotlight lamp - just like on an airplane. There is also a small refrigerator inside - and the contents will remain cold regardless of whether the car is started. There is also a bar, which was originally conceived as a special compartment for the "nuclear suitcase".

"GON has certain requirements for the president's car. These are, firstly, special compartments. Secondly, protection from radio interference. Thirdly, it is protection from salt water. Of course, an armored capsule must be installed inside. And if you look closely, the seats are moved away like this. so as to leave space for armor sheets. Inside it will be just as free, but the weight of the car will increase by one and a half to two tons, "- says Sokolov.

The bar was originally a secret compartment. There should be several such "secrets" in the car. Everyone, of course, was not shown to us

The dashboard of the new Zilovsky limousine is not much different from the "tidy" of the old one - the general "layout" and individual details like fonts have been preserved. They say that drivers have no complaints about the classic design. But time takes its toll - and a number of indications can be duplicated by a projection on the windshield.

No secrets

The Zilovites do not hide the fact that they work in close contact with many foreign companies. "We are working with Bosch. Together with them we are making a braking system. In theory, now the car should go to the Bosh test site for testing. We are not giving it over yet, because the issue of showing the limousine to the president has not yet been resolved. They are asking for the car for six months to be adjusted. ABS and ESP work programs. Much time has passed since 2006, and they themselves offer us new solutions, new blocks, "the project manager clarifies.

The parameters selected by the driver are projected in the center of the windshield. It is curious that the trunk opening button is not at hand, but above the driver's head - on the ceiling

The most difficult moment in this car is the suspension. In fact, it is borrowed from those very Soviet cars. "The limousine was built by a small team, times were unfavorable, there was not enough money," Sokolov explains.

Therefore, the design of the suspension had to be borrowed from the old car, modifying individual parts - for example, the hub: only after that it became possible to "fit" a more modern braking system into the design. "This is a working sample, digestible. All the Kremlin ZILs were used on this suspension, it was recognized as quite reliable. It has its own shortcomings, which we were able to eliminate. But they cost little blood. Without interference in the structure - torsion bars, springs remained, dependent rear axle , but for a heavy machine this is not bad. I would like to continue to change it. We are waiting for funding, a signal from above, "explains Sokolov. On paper, there is already a new suspension - completely independent, with springs instead of leaf springs. But the implementation of a project in metal takes time and money.

So far, the control unit is made in the image and likeness of analogous systems of "Mercedes". But at ZiL they say that they have their own developments - they will simply implement them later.

The air conditioning unit for the car was created in Nizhny Novgorod. And we even received a patent for this system, it is so unique, "says Sokolov with pride.

A patent was also issued for the "door assembly" design. If you pay attention to most limousines, it is easy to see that the front and rear doors are separated by a blank wall of decent length. Many manufacturers would not mind replacing it with another, middle door. Yes, so that the middle and back doors swing open in different directions. And so that there was no rack between them - only a wide, two-meter-wide doorway. But desires do not coincide with the possibilities: it is not possible to provide the necessary rigidity of the body. And the Zilovites did it: thanks to a clever system of locks in the closed state, the middle door is built into the power structure of the body, in fact it turns into a middle pillar. And by the way, some manufacturers have already asked ZiL to sell them this technology.

There are, of course, in this car and things that few people like. The Zilovites themselves know about them. "The first is the headlights. Then the wheels, their design. It's like good shoes. There are many questions in appearance. New technologies lead to a change in the shape of the car. For example, carbon bumpers change the shape of the car. - explains Sergey Sokolov.

The headlights are a rough draft: in the final version, the layout of the elements will be preserved, and the lens block (by which the beauty of the headlights is judged) will receive a more sophisticated design

Employees of the ZIL plant, who have been working on a limousine project for the president for more than six years, give the impression of a group of patriotic like-minded people. Engineers are eagerly awaiting the assessment of their work from the head of state. Contrary to rumors, Vladimir Putin has not yet seen the car. But it depends on his decision whether the domestic ZIL-4112R will replace the current Mercedes.

In any case, as the creators of the new ZiL say themselves, you can already make good money on the project. For example, selling the entire project to a third-party customer. "We have received such proposals, for example, from Saudi Arabia. But here the question is different: everyone involved in the creation of this machine would like to see it through to the end. I don’t want to stop halfway. This project is an independent unit. further ", - says the director of" Depo-ZiL ". And it's scary to imagine what will become of ZiL if the fruits of his work are not needed by his own country.

In the program "Central Television" on the NTV channel, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that a new Russian limousine has been developed and is now being tested. The President did not specify which model he was talking about, but most likely he meant the ZIL-4112R limousine.

"ZIL-4112R" was developed by the specialists of "Depo ZIL" LLC and is the successor of the legendary model 114. But unlike the latter, the novelty has a modified design, improved driving performance and interior ergonomics, as well as an upgraded cooling and power supply system. The type of engine was also changed - from carburetor to injection.

In addition, the generator capacity has been increased from 100 to 150 amperes, and the 16-inch wheels have been replaced with 18-inch wheels.

In the salon of the novelty, there are four VIP-chairs equipped with an electric drive, ventilation and heating functions, folding tables, two TFT-screens. Leather and expensive types of wood are used in the decoration.

Technical characteristics of the new ZIL president

A 400-horsepower 7.7-liter V8 engine is installed under the hood of the car. The transmission is a 5-speed automatic, developed by the American company Allison. The weight of the ZIL-4112R limousine is approximately 3.5 tons.

The car has no armor yet. The plant said that an armored version may appear after testing and approval by the authorities of the existing model.

The ZIL-4112R developers hope that soon Vladimir Putin will switch from his service Mercedes-Benz S-Guard Pullman to a domestic limousine.

The project "Cortege" (a domestic car for the President of Russia) actually blew up the Internet community and gave rise to many guesses and rumors. It must go further. "

In 2018, the next presidential elections will be held in Russia, and the head of state will be taken to the inauguration ceremony in a new domestically produced limousine. The current presidential limousine Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Pullman will be replaced by a car that bears the working name "Cortege". The new limousine will be the most comfortable, protected and equipped with all possible means of communication.

As the media found out, funding for the creation of the Cortege project has been retained, within the framework of which 3.7 billion rubles are allocated from the state budget alone. An assembly site for limousines for top officials of the state is already located in Moscow.

So, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov has recently admitted that budget financing "has not been frozen." “I don’t remember what name it goes by (line in the budget), but we haven’t frozen anything - 3.7 billion rubles, as planned, it is. All plans are not just valid, they are being implemented,” he said. ... Moreover, the prototype, which will not be shown to anyone to preserve intrigue and secrecy, will be ready in January 2016.

"We must ship the first pre-production batch at the end of 2017 to the FSO, respectively, you will see at the inauguration," the minister shared, referring to the inauguration of the Russian president after the elections in 2018.

"Until now, it is not known exactly what displacement the engine will have - 6.0 liters or 6.6 liters. But the power of this engine will have to be within 800 horsepower," the press already wrote. The journalists added that there are other cars in the project - "sedan, SUV and minibus", which will receive turbo engines "with a smaller displacement."

By the way, the SUV and sedan from the "Cortege" project will be mass-produced - at least 5,000 units per year and will be sold even to private (naturally very wealthy) individuals. It is clear that private cars of the "Cortege" series will not be equipped with "presidential" booking and special communications (unless, of course, they will be purchased at state trade for the leadership of the authorities).

“In July 2013, the Russian government banned state and municipal purchases of foreign-made cars,” the publications said, explaining that we are not talking about Russian complete or “screwdriver” assemblies of foreign cars. True, for top managers all machines, their components, assemblies and the smallest details are checked by the FSO and the FSB for "bookmarks" and vulnerabilities.

Experts, including world experts in the automotive industry, already admit that the "Cortege" brand (or "a car like a president's") will be very popular with wealthy businessmen and government officials. However, we are not talking about a commercial project - after all, for the first time since the Soviet era, Russia will have its "own" supercar, which will be driven by the head of state - and his escort vehicles.

"As you know, the" Cortege "project includes the development of a limousine for the President of the Russian Federation, support vehicles in the bodies of SUVs and minibuses for accompanying persons," the experts confirm.

"The stylization under the Stalinist ZIS-115 limousine can be considered quite successful: on the one hand, its motives are unmistakably recognizable in the prototype for the Cortege project, on the other hand, they do not have a single detail of the exterior that is similar in shape," the media share, analyzing the leaked data about the project "Tuple".

"Naturally, in cars of this level - an armored capsule, communication systems and special communications, multimedia systems, means of protection against eavesdropping and interception of communications, evacuation systems, electronic and military defense, as well as all kinds of special" gadgets ". Tires that work even after heavy shelling , a system of disks on which a limousine can travel without tires, a special gas tank, "says a man who had a hand in the creation of Soviet and post-Soviet limousines for the country's leadership.

He added that even without the territory cleared by the FSO and security vehicles, "which in reality does not happen," those in the limousine "must be fully armed with the appearance of a hostile helicopter, drone, grenade and machine gunners.

Of course, he did not disclose the specifications of the "Cortege" project, as well as the details of booking the presidential limousine, special communication systems and other subtleties.

"The exact information about the design of the" armored cars "is kept in the strictest confidence. Each car is assembled by special order.

"Self-sealing fuel tank and automatic fire extinguishing system. According to experts, the limousine has cylinders with a supply of air, which will withstand a gas attack, hidden loopholes, compartments for storing various weapons," they add.

Some experts even report that "the president's American car is good if you have a little trouble, but ours is ready for war." They explain that "the passengers of the car can survive a small nuclear explosion, but at a certain distance."

“It will be power, greatness, strength, technology and security - perhaps these words can describe the head limousine of the Cortege,” one of the participants in the development of the Cortege project shared with one of the participants in the development of the Cortege project, adding that any more detailed description is a violation of state secrets.

"FSO and GON must receive cars of the" Cortege "project in advance for their development, for training all drivers, security - each presidential limousine or minibus has its own dynamics, acceleration, weight, skidding, behavior on the road. safe passage of routes, in case of emergency, and so on, "- he explained. "Of course, it is possible that someone will" merge "the appearance of the" Cortege "project in the media in 2016, it will appear in the media and will be discussed - but no one will definitely know the" stuffing ".
