Transmissions available for the car: 6-speed manual transmission (for 1.4 MPI, 1.6 MPI and 1.6 T-GDI engines), 6-band automatic transmission (1.6 MPI) and 6DCT preselective robot (combinable with 1.6 GDI 135 hp)

The Kia Ceed sw station wagon has the most impressive luggage compartment size. It can accommodate up to 528 liters of cargo behind the backs of the rear row seats, and up to 1,642 liters behind the backs of the front seats with the rear seats folded.

Small medium car Kia class Ceed (class C to international classification) have been produced since 2007; in Russia, the production of this car is carried out by JSC Avutor (Kaliningrad).
The Kia Ceed car is manufactured in three types of bodies: three-door hatchback(Kia pro Ceed), five-door hatchback (Kia Ceed) and station wagon (Kia Ceed SW).
Kia Ceed cars are equipped with transversely mounted four-cylinder petrol engines. injection engines with a working volume of 1.4, 1.6 and 2.0 liters, as well as four-cylinder diesel engines with a working volume of 1.6 and 2.0 liters.
On cars with gasoline parts, a distributed fuel injection system and two catalytic exhaust gas converters are installed.
In this publication, the engine design is described in most detail using the example of a 1.6 liter gasoline engine, the most common in Russia, the differences of other engines are specifically discussed.
Car bodies such as three or five-door hatchback and station wagon are load-bearing, all-metal, welded construction with hinged front fenders, doors, hood and tailgate.
The transmission is made according to a front-wheel drive design with front wheel drives of different lengths. IN basic configuration cars are equipped with a five-speed manual transmission transmission Gearboxes installed on cars, depending on the engine type, differ in gear ratios and number of gears forward travel.
Front suspension MacPherson type, independent, spring, with stabilizer lateral stability, with hydraulic shock absorbers. The rear suspension is independent, spring, multi-link, with hydraulic shock absorbers, with a passive steering effect.
The brakes on all wheels are disc brakes with a floating caliper, and the front brake discs are ventilated. Drum mechanisms are built into the brake mechanisms of the rear wheels parking brake. All modifications are equipped with an anti-lock braking system (ABS) with an integrated electronic brake force distribution (EBD) subsystem.
The steering is injury-proof, with a rack-and-pinion steering mechanism, equipped with a hydraulic booster with a progressive characteristic. Steering column adjustable according to the angle of inclination. At the hub steering wheel(as well as in front of the front passenger) there is a frontal airbag.
Kia Ceed cars are equipped with a centralized control system for all door locks with locking of all doors using a key on the door, drivers and automatic system emergency unlocking of locks.

In 2007, the debut of a 3-door hatchback took place. As befits a modern three-door car, it is, first of all, a sporty interpretation of the base model. Kia Pro-cee'd looks much more dynamic and aggressive than the family five-door hatchback. The Pro-cee'd engine options will be the same as on the current model. Unless for the sports modification they will only leave powerful versions 1.6 liters (122 hp) and 2.0 liters (143 hp).
At the Geneva Motor Show 2012 took place world premiere Kia Cee'd of the new generation in the hatchback body. With the same wheelbase, the car has become slightly longer than its predecessor - 4,310 versus 4,260 mm, but at the same time slightly narrower and lower by 10 mm - 1,780 and 1,470 mm, respectively. Trunk volume has increased from 340 to 380 liters.
Cee'd's design has become more aggressive and fast-paced. The wide air intake of the bumper emphasizes the dynamism of the car. The radiator grille, designed by Peter Schreyer, has noticeably increased in size. Head optics got LEDs. A beautiful bezel for the fog lights has been added. Repeaters are built into the mirror housings, duplicating the direction indicators.
The interior has also been completely transformed and has become more respectable. The manufacturer paid special attention to finishing materials. High-quality plastic is present not only on the front panel, but also on the doors of the car. The creators also worked on sound insulation; the cabin became very quiet. The new instrument panel is informative and pleasing to the eye. The four-spoke steering wheel is equipped with girth lugs and function keys.
The richest version of the C'eed uses a combination of seat trim, light leather inserts in the doors, and chrome-trimmed handles. Compared to the previous generation, the 2012 equipment is impressive: a large display multimedia system with touch control, system automatic parking, dual-zone climate control and a two-section panoramic roof. True, all of the above wealth is strictly tied to the trim levels, unlike European brands, where you can “assemble” a car for yourself. On Russian market Cee'd is offered with gasoline engines volumes of 1.4 (100 hp) and 1.6 (130 hp) liters. The first is offered exclusively with a 6-speed manual, while the more powerful one can be ordered paired with a six-speed automatic. Diesel engines are also available for Europe. Diesel engine with a volume of 1.6 liters and a power of 126 hp. equipped with a turbine with a complex and variable impeller geometry.
Kia has a FlexSteer system, which, depending on road conditions and personal preferences allows you to vary the steering effort and the degree of feedback. The system operates in three modes: Comfort, Normal and Sport. In the first, the steering wheel can be rotated with one finger, in the second there is slight resistance, and only “sport” is the most informative algorithm for interaction between the driver and the car.
