During the whole year, the teams planning to participate in this rally-marathon lead constant and intense work on the assembly of new sports cars, to improve and refine the design of already existing equipment. During the entire season, the teams work on raising the level of professional skill of pilots, navigations and mechanics. An important point is also the physical preparation of team members, and under certain conditions, as in particular before Dakar - 2016, additional training is also required to work in the conditions of high mountains. The volume of work is so large that it often has to work on weekends and overtime. Yes, shots of videos and photos with this famous race look beautiful and excitingly, but behind them is a big volume is really hard, but at the same time interesting work.

The Dakar route is traveled both by high-speed roads among steppes and on winding and dangerous mountain serpents, along the rivers of rivers, off-road, among dunes and vegans. We have to overcome sands, dirt, stony areas, ravines, wins, springboards, cool descents and lifts. When testing our new sports truck in a rally-marathon, individual shortcomings were identified, which were discussed and, already, the team designers are developing documentation for making changes to the following generation of combat truck. But, in general, the results of the tests of the new car and the engine installed on it we are satisfied.

Results and plans for the future

A high level of training and experience of our team members allowed us to dwell to the race leaders. However, problems with two engines were not allowed to achieve the crews of the planned results. It was very hurt to go away with two cars, but this is a sport, and here anything can happen. It is necessary to be able to take and defeat, while making reasonable conclusions from them to minimize such losses.

This season, with special attention to the issue of strict control over the work on the rebirth of the components and the aggregates of our cars in third-party organizations and to the timing of training sports trucks for competitions. We will work on increasing the responsibility of each team member for the work performed. In addition, we are planning to seriously increase the level of physical training of our athletes.

The nearest race in which the "Maz-Sportato" will take part - the 2nd stage of the Russian Gold Cagan Championship. It will take place in April and will be held through the territory of the Astrakhan region. The team then will spend the training collection on the modified Rally route, which is annually prepared by the Racing Organizers. This rally raid and training are valuable for us by the fact that the Astrakhan region in its natural conditions is very similar to the steppes of Argentina, with small dunes and sandy areas. Here, nature itself has created ideal conditions for full-fledged training for the preparation of team members to participate in the rally marathons of the highest international level.

In 2016, the Rally Marathon "Silk Road" renewed, which will be held in July. The race will be held in the territories of three countries: Russia, Kazakhstan and China. According to the organizers, it starts in Moscow, and finishes in Beijing. The race promises to be very interesting and attract the crews from around the world. According to the organizers of the "Silk Road", the complexity and length of this rally-marathon will surpass the level of Dakar. These are mainly engineers - designers, test drivers and MSR mechanisaries that have previously worked in various divisions of MAZ-A. Of course, not only our factory workers became team members. It is clearly not superfluous for the team was the experience of participating in competitions in the classical rally of Sergey Vyazitovich and Konstantin Sinebok.

For example, Alexey Vishnevsky was invited to our team in the fall, today - the champion of Belarus on drifting, and in the past, a successful attack. While he works as a mechanic, but in the near future, after passing training in the pilot preparation program, we have high hopes on it, as on the pilot of a combat truck. In the present, we are planning to actively train young people, involve the team of promising guys, raise our skill of our skills specialists. The racing third-generation car developed about six months. Over the project worked constructors of the sports team - those that create cars only for racing. The name of the predecessors remains the name of the model (MAZ-5309RR), a recognizable "proscular" silhouette and many design solutions. However, as the developers assure, there are significant changes in new sports cars, which make them easier, more prompt and rushing.

The main difference between new cars - in the new engine Gyrtech G13, which gathered the Buggyra Czech team from Caterpillar aggregates. A 12.5 liter motor produces 950 "horses" with a torque of 4300 N · m. Another advantage is an electronic control that allows you to quickly conduct computer diagnostics and customize the necessary parameters.

The engine turned out to be easier and more reliable than the overall analogues of the Yaroslavl and Tutaev motor plants. It is because of them on the last "Dakar", two maskedal crews were forced. But there is another reason why abandoned outdated aggregates: the "Dakar" organizers will no longer let the trucks with 16.5 liter engines.

Sports trucks created for racing, so they have components are similar to the fact that the teams are used - the winners of Dakar. At the same time, much in the new sports car produced on the masse. The "Maz-Sportato" team does not voicate the cost of the truck. But if there is a serious customer, sports car is ready to collect "from scratch" for 350 thousand euros. The exact cost depends on the configuration and in this kind of cases are negotiated with the buyer individually.

However, Mazovian sports cars may not be sold, but renting. There are many people who want to perform several famous riders on the rally raids on Belarusian trucks.
