Now let's get down to sea trials, but first some important numbers. Lifan Murman is equipped with a 4-cylinder in-line aspirated engine with a working volume of 1.8 liters. The power of 128 "horses" at first glance, the car should be enough for the eyes, but in reality there is a catastrophic lack of power and torque. You press your slipper on the floor, and Murman reacts to it so reluctantly that, willy-nilly, you begin to check whether you have removed the handbrake! The car has a 5-speed manual gearbox and you have to work with the gear lever very often, because even on minor climbs Murman requires the helmsman to switch from fifth to fourth, or even third. In general, it seemed to me that the problem lies not in a weak engine or poorly selected ones, but in setting fuel card. The fact is that the subject began to come to life only when the tachometer needle reached 3700 rpm, while at lower rates there was a feeling that there was a motor from a lawn mower under the hood. If you overchip the “brains” to the detriment of the environment and fuel consumption (by the way, it is about 9.5 liters per hundred), then the speed of the car will definitely increase.

By the way, in the future, Lifan Murman can get a 2.4-liter engine with (in this version, called Lifan 820, it has been sold quite successfully in China since 2015). In the meantime, we repeat, the version on the “handle” with a 1.8 liter engine will be available to potential buyers.

And they had Magentis in the line, and they had Sonata. They were twins - they looked different, but all technical filling was the same. And then I could not understand - what should happen to a person so that he chooses THIS instead of a ten-year-old Mercedes.

I must say that few people in St. Petersburg understood this at all. In Moscow, sales of such cars have already reached hundreds, while in our country the proximity of the border and the internal CPH made the VW Passat "from Germany, without a run in Russia" a leader. This rhombus, albeit on leatherette, looks very premium! And the chairs are soft. Everything looks as if you have a car in front of you, made as before, soundly. Looking away from the chairs, you notice, of course, a lot of nuances. Steering wheel large diameter, it has music control buttons on the left. They are simple and cheap, like almost all Chinese buttons. Either it seems to them unimportant, or there is some secret in the manufacture of buttons that they do not own. But on the right spoke of the steering wheel, instead of buttons, there are stubs. Apparently, a car for a million is not supposed to have cruise control. Dashboard looks good, but it is very difficult to perceive the data. Speedometer and tachometer with a lot of scratches and very small numbers. Inside the scale of the main instruments there are the same semicircular scales for the engine temperature and the presence of fuel. The on-board computer in the center between the large scales constantly shows tire pressure. Oh no more important than information for me!

The car claims to be solid, and the radio tape recorder is worse than the simplest Lada Kalina. It has a monochrome display, no navigation, and no Bluetooth. And that means no speakerphone. This is a cheap option, especially for the Chinese! Impossible to understand! Under the climate, behind an uncomfortable cover, there is a place for a mobile phone with AUX and USB connectors. You can connect something to them only in the parking lot, when the driver kneels in front of the car. This is the only way to see where to stick gadgets. But the most ridiculous thing is that on a horizontal surface in front of this cover there is a GLONASS unit. Of course, the first thing I did was accidentally call the help desk. The operator, I must say, answered in less than a minute. Think about it: they can now hear everything you say in the car. If they want.

But there is a large comfortable armrest and a lot of space under it. The main glove compartment is medium in size, with echoing plastic. There is a lot of space behind, two sit here like a king, there is no need for a third to them. They have a very old-fashioned armrest with cup holders, small pockets in the front seats, and nothing else. But there is a feeling that this is a car for the one who is behind, because there is not a single cup holder in front. Only places for bottles in the door pockets. The poor driver can't drink coffee.

Medium sized trunk. I thought that such a car should have it like Texas. No, only about 500 liters, there is a hatch for long lengths. Under the floor - a full-size spare tire on the R16. But the chairs do not fold. And this again leads me to compare with the ancient couple Kia Magentis / Hyundai Sonata. But there are still holes. There is no handle to close inside. You have to take the cover from the outside. I couldn't open the trunk from the outside. At first I was looking for a button, found it in the most unexpected place. But pressing it does not always lead to the discovery. The situation is saved by the opening button to the left of the driver on the front panel.

Lifan Murman equipped keyless entry. The key is in my pocket, I take the pen driver's door and nothing happens. Several times the car had such failures, and I decided not to show off, just use the key fob.

From a trip on this machine, I do not expect anything interesting. Engine 1.8 l, 128 l. s., mechanics about five speeds. Of course, this machine cannot show any dynamics. I did a test in Moscow and was pretty exhausted. In a traffic jam, mechanics are tiring in principle. As soon as they broke free, the stunted motor is not able to dynamically accelerate this dreadnought. Acceleration to hundreds longer than 16 seconds. But this is not racing car. He shows it in every way. For example, the steering wheel has no sharpness. The zero point is completely smeared. But the newcomer Lifan Murman will forgive a lot. I think that it is difficult for this car to climb up with a laden load. Even when I'm driving alone, on the rise it requires a transition to low gear. But in motion, I noticed good visibility. For example, the rear pillars are very thin and leave little blind spot. Although the indicator of the presence of a car in it would still not hurt. However, security electronics are here on minimum level: ABS, ESP, and all. While I was driving, I made another discovery: all power windows, including the driver's one, are non-automatic. I can not keep silent about the gearbox. She, as my father said, "requires searching." Clarity shifting leaves much to be desired.
