However, the champion in terms of efficiency is, of course, diesel. No matter how I drove it, I couldn’t get it to go beyond 6.8 l/100 km. And the diesel’s CVT is the most advanced: it cleverly disguises itself as a regular “automatic”, accelerating the car without the monotonous howl of the engine. The only pity is that the diesel Qashqai is inferior in handling to its gasoline counterparts: it is not so willing to dive into turns - excess weight above the front axle makes itself felt. There is also a general complaint about all modifications - significant roll in corners. And it would be nice if this could be explained by the high smoothness of the ride - but no: Nissan doesn’t particularly shine in this area. By the way, all Russian Qashqais are equipped with an independent rear suspension, while in Europe, on versions with front-wheel drive, a beam works at the rear. As a result, the 2-liter Qashqai turned out to be the most balanced, which not only drives the best, but also allows you to get all-wheel drive.
Don't joke with off-roading
The 4WD transmission has not changed with the change of generations and still works quite well. On a primer, it is better to immediately block the connection coupling rear axle: then, up to 40 km/h, the torque will be distributed between the front and rear wheels equally, and the ESP dexterity is quite enough to ensure that the crossover does not stop when a diagonal hanging occurs.
