Where are Hyundai cars assembled? Where Hyundai cars are assembled, factories in Russia Where the Sonata is assembled

“When he showed up, he didn’t get dusty” - this Russian proverb fits perfectly to the last generation Korean mid-size Sonata sedan, which is now sold in the Russian Federation. The famous model of the Hyundai brand returned to Russia almost five years after its departure, and in the seventh generation (LF) of the 2014 model, and even after restyling. Needless to say, the seventh “Sonata”, if you’re not lying at all, can’t be called a new product. It is still supplied to the Russian market directly from South Korea, which may have had a good effect on the build quality, but had a bad effect on adaptation to the harsh road realities of Russia. Read all the details about this “new” Hyundai in our review!

Design

In terms of appearance, the Korean Sonata with the LF index is the same as the overseas one. She looks very impressive - thanks to Chris Chapman from the Californian designer Hyundai center. Whether Mr. Chapman will be able to go down in the history of the global auto industry, like Chris Bangle, who worked on the appearance of BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce, is still anyone's guess, but one thing can be said about him for sure: he managed to introduce a certain amount of avant-gardeism into the image of the Sonata. Just look at the window sill moldings, stretched right up to the head optics between the fenders and the hood. And what will an ordinary car enthusiast who only dreams of a “new” Sonata say about the huge corporate emblem on the radiator grille or the fashionable touch panel for the trunk opening, located at the top of the Hyundai logo? Yeah, Chapman is great!

Design

The foundation of the Sonata LF is the YF chassis, inherited from its predecessor and subjected to a number of modifications. The changes affected both the settings of the springs and shock absorbers, as well as the suspension geometry. During the modernization, the rear multi-link suspension acquired elongated and reinforced lower control arms(the thickness of the steel sheet increased from 2.9 to 3.5 millimeters), which better distribute lateral forces and allow more precise adjustment of kinematics. In addition, it has become tougher steering column, and to improve the accuracy of the car’s response to turning the steering wheel, the EUR was equipped with a more high-performance processor. The steering program can be changed using a button Drive Mode Select.

Adaptation to Russian conditions

Despite the fact that the seventh “Sonata” is not assembled on the territory of the Russian Federation, but in South Korea, its price is significantly lower compared to many competitors Russian assembly. However, savings in in this case- a double-edged sword. On the one hand, everything seems to be fine, the car is nice and roomy, the sound insulation is improved, and the manufacturer even allows pouring fuel tank inexpensive 92-grade gasoline, which is very important in our realities. But on the other hand, the model is not adapted specifically for Russia, and its suspension settings are for bad roads not the most suitable.

Comfort

There are no serious complaints about the Sonata LF's interior. By the standards of the class, it is spacious - there is enough space for people of any size, both in front and in the back, where the floor is almost flat. Driver comfort is ensured by electric seat adjustments and the ability of the steering column to be adjusted in height and reach. Adjust driver's seat“to suit yourself” will not be any difficulty, especially since its configuration does not require any special adjustment. The driver's seat itself is quite comfortable - it is moderately rigid, with developed lateral support and a fairly comfortable headrest. If we forget about the textile, overly synthetic-to-the-touch seat upholstery in the basic version (although it is much more practical than leather that heats up in the sun), then everything inside the sedan is done conscientiously and with attention to detail. Only someone who for some reason needs to find fault with something can determine whether it is hard or soft by the type of plastic - praise be to the well-chosen texture. Combination different types The plastic is basically approximately the same - however, there is still more “tin” in the door panels.

Great attention is paid to ergonomics. Hyundai decided not to reinvent the wheel and use classic solutions. The result is as follows: almost all large keys are placed in 2 rows on the center console, for the sake of normal human logic. Turning on the heated steering wheel, adored in our country, is very convenient, as is displaying the navigation map on the touchscreen of the media system. The instrument panel in the Sonata is strictly traditional, analog, but with a digital add-on between the “wells” of the speedometer and tachometer, as well as backlit in a bluish shade beloved by Asian manufacturers. There are no complaints about its readability and information content. Remembering the “Korean’s” rivals, one cannot help but think that its interior looks simpler than that of Kia Optima or Mazda6. Although in this regard it is not inferior to the same Ford Mondeo or Volkswagen Passat. Its trunk is by no means ideal: despite the impressive volume of 510 liters, it is not at all pleasing with the quality of the finish and the height of the doorway. IN luggage compartment a full-size spare wheel is stored on cast disk(V basic configuration- on steel), and next to it - bare metal. It’s not reputable somehow, but by the way it’s “not for everyone.”

As a result of the latest generation change, the share of especially high-strength steels in the body increased from 21 to 51%. In addition, the proportion of hot-formed steels, the number of additional reinforcements, the length (up to 119 m) and the number of adhesive joints have increased, and the torsional and bending rigidity of the body has increased by 41 and 30%, respectively. The standard “safe” equipment of the Sonata LF is far from poor: it includes front and side airbags, curtains, Isofix fastenings for child car seats, alarm button"Era-Glonass", as well as stabilization systems with 2-stage shutdown (ESC) and stabilization control (VSM), hill start assistant (HAC) and anti-lock braking brake system(ABS). For an additional fee, parking sensors, light and rain sensors, a rear view camera, cruise control with buttons on the steering wheel, blind spot monitoring and an electric parking brake are offered.

In the very available version the car is equipped with a conventional radio with MP3 support, 6 speakers, buttons on the steering wheel, wireless Bluetooth protocol and AUX/USB connectors for connecting gadgets. The more expensive version has a modest five-inch display and a rear video view. In more expensive trim levels there is a full-fledged multimedia complex with an eight-inch touchscreen and Navitel navigation (alas, without displaying traffic jams), capable of connecting to Apples and Androids. Fortunately, support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto technologies is provided, like any other self-respecting modern sedan. The media system works, fortunately for Hyundai fans, without any particular complaints.

Hyundai Sonata Specifications

The engine range of the seventh Sonata is represented by two petrol atmospheric engines, unpretentious to fuel quality. The first engine - Nu 2.0 MPI - received a lightweight block and cylinder head made of aluminum, a low-noise timing chain, a system of continuously variable valve timing at the intake/exhaust, plastic intake manifold With variable geometry and technology distributed injection. The power of the two-liter engine is 150 hp and the torque is 192 Nm. The second engine is an aluminum “four” 2.4 GDI of the Theta-II series. This engine is equipped with intake phase shifters and a direct injection system under a pressure of 200 bar. The 2.4-liter unit develops 188 hp. and 241 Nm of peak torque. Both it and its alternative in the form of a 150-horsepower naturally aspirated engine comply with the Euro-5 eco-standard, are combined exclusively with front-wheel drive and work in tandem with a 6-speed automatic transmission A6MF2 own development Hyundai. Average consumption fuel, according to the manufacturer, is 7.8-8.3 liters. per 100 km (depending on modification), but real numbers may be higher.

Model 1983. The car was sold at local market, and was also exported to Canada (under the name Stellar II) and New Zealand. Licensed four-cylinder engines were installed on the Sonata. Mitsubishi engines volume of 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0 liters paired with a five-speed manual transmission or automatic transmissions Borg Warner gears with three or four stages.

2nd generation (Y2), 1988–1993

The first “Sonata” was not very successful, and already in 1988 the second generation of the model was presented, developed, among other things, with an eye to American market. The car became front-wheel drive, it was designed on the platform of the model.

From predecessor Hyundai sedan Sonata II received 1.8 and 2.0 engines, but no longer carburetor engines, but with fuel injection. American buyers were offered versions with 2.4 (later replaced by a two-liter) and V6 engines with a volume of three liters and a power of 146 hp. With. All power units were produced under a license purchased from Mitsubishi. Transmissions are five-speed manual or four-speed automatic.

In 1991, the model was restyled, in this in the form of Hyundai Sonata was produced at factories in Korea and Canada until 1993.

3rd generation (Y3), 1993–1998

The third generation of the model, introduced in 1993, was produced only in Korea. The car received absolutely new design, but gamma power units has not undergone significant changes. At home Hyundai Sonata was offered with engines 1.8 and 2.0, and versions 2.0 (126–139 horsepower) and V6 3.0 with 145 horsepower were supplied to export markets. With. Transmissions are five-speed manual or four-speed automatic.

In 1996, the model was restyled, as a result of which the sedan received a completely different design for the front end. The production of the third generation Sonata continued until 1998. The car was officially offered on the Russian market.

4th generation (EF), 1998–2012

Hyundai Sonata sedan fourth generation began production in 1998. General design car was the same as the first generation sedan, these were the first joint models Hyundai brands and Kia, after the latter's takeover in 1999.

The car was equipped with the previous four-cylinder engines of the Sirius series with a volume of 1.8 liters (only for Korea), 2.0 liters and 2.4 liters, as well as a new Delta V6 2.5 power unit with a capacity of 168 hp. With. Restyling in 2001 significantly transformed appearance"Sonata", and the 2.5-liter engine was replaced by new engine V6 with a volume of 2.7 liters and a power of 173 hp. With.

In Korea, the car stopped being produced in 2004; at the Tangrog Automobile Plant, cars for Russian market did until the beginning of 2012.

5th generation (NF), 2004–2010

The fifth generation sedan was launched in mass production in Korea in 2004, in 2005 the car entered the American market, where cars assembled at a plant in Alabama were sold. But in Russia the model was sold as , so TagAZ continued to produce the previous generation Sonata.

The car was equipped with four-cylinder engines 2.0 (136 hp) and 2.4 (164 hp), as well as a 3.3-liter “six” with a capacity of 237 hp. The two-liter turbodiesel developed 140 hp. With. The cars were equipped with mechanical and automatic transmissions.

At the end of 2007, the Sonata was restyled, slightly changing both its appearance and interior. At the same time, cars for the Russian market were renamed Hyundai NF Sonata. The modernization also affected the range of power units: the power of all engines increased by 10–15 hp. With.

In Russia, the Sonata was offered with a two-liter engine (150 hp) or a 2.4-liter engine (178 hp). The car was equipped with six-speed gearboxes gears, version with base motor- mechanical or automatic, and a more powerful option - only automatic. At the end of 2012, sales of the model on the Russian market were discontinued.

In others Hyundai countries Sonata was also equipped with a new 2.4 GDI engine with direct injection with a power of 200 horsepower or a two-liter turbo engine (274 hp) six-cylinder and diesel versions was not in the model range, but in 2011, sales of a hybrid modification of the sedan with a 2.4-liter “four”, a six-speed automatic transmission and a 30-kilowatt electric motor began in the USA and Korea.

In 2012, the model was slightly restyled. The car was produced in this form until 2014; it was made at factories in Korea, China, and the USA.

I bought a new Hyundai Sonata in November 2018, and that’s what I’ll talk about this review. The selection criteria were as follows:

1. Sedan with large salon(I really like sedans, because for me, these are the most comfortable cars) and plenty of space in the back.

2. Atmospheric with hydromechanical automatic transmission(I don’t want turbo engines and robots anymore, I’m full... Although I consider the 2.0 TSI + 6DSG the most balanced “pair” in terms of dynamics, acceleration, fuel consumption).

3. Trunk (two children + frequent intercity trips).

4. Price... because I don’t print money.

5. The car must be new. I'm tired of shaking hands with masters.

There was no choice. The prices for new cars in Russia are very sobering. Looked: Optima, Passat, Superb, Camry, Mazda 6, Mondeo, Sonata. Let's go choose:

The Passat is beautiful. I had two Passats - both turbo with DSG. Everything was fine, except that you can sell horseradish on the secondary market. But a new one in the configuration I like goes for 2 million, which is catastrophically high for me. For 1.5 I was not impressed - this is an empty manual car. It's completely sad. Past...

Camry. I drove a V50 for a year. I bought it new for 1.07 in 2014 - it will do. The new Camry is very normal. But gentlemen, the Japanese! Why did you reduce the space in the back so much? There's frankly not enough space! And if it weren’t for... 1.6-1.7 for a car on a rag (I’m generally silent about 3.5 for 2.6) + CASCO - from 100k + service interval 10,000 km.

If it weren't for maintenance prices like those for a Maybach... I might have considered it. The bottom line is that I don’t need its reliability (for that kind of money I’d bet...) It will be inherited by the new owner, because in 3-4 years I’ll sell it anyway, because... get bored. This is trash. No, guys, Camry 114% is not worth the money.

Superb... The biggest one in the cabin. Most large trunk. But everything else - see the paragraph about the Passat... Accordingly, it’s also bypassed.

Mazda 6 is too expensive, there is not enough space in the back, but overall everything is great. Fresh design. Beautiful. It drives great even with 2.0 But CASCO is space... No, not like that... but - COOOSMOSSS. 130k per year with a deductible of 15k...

Mondeo - I didn't like it. From the word in general. Although for 1.5 million the equipment is okay... CASCO is inexpensive. But I decided to think again. In the end, no.

Optima... Cool car, everything is straight pass-test... It didn’t work out in terms of price, because... only 2.4 at maximum speed available. Expensive for me. The wait for 2.0 is long. The car ordering policy is the worst of all. No price guarantees. The dealer will have time to snatch it the right car- good, but no, no. Didn't make it into the delivery, the next one is only in a month.

And finally, the Sonata. To be honest, I chose from what was available, but there was almost everything. The only thing is that the color has slipped a little. I wanted a signature blue or black. There was a silver one in stock. In the end, he took it. Price value is 1.405 (from January 1 already 1.450).

As a result, I bargained for a hundred and picked it up on November 27, 2018 for 1.3 million. Plus a delivery from the dealer - a tank of gasoline and the first three maintenance (15, 30, 45 t.km) at their expense. Warranty period I will be served for free. In the intervals between maintenance I still want to change the oil at 7.5 t.km. but at your own expense, of course.

CASCO RUB 47,000, which is very worthy. “I liked” the policy of the insurance company - if the car had a credit card, then CASCO would already be 70,000 rubles. In general, I'm happy with the car. I got what I wanted for my price. Has everything I need. Classic package.

Impression

To date I have driven 1,850 km. I like the new Hyundai Sonata more and more every day. I went for zero maintenance. We added 0.5 liters of antifreeze for free, tested the shock absorbers, brakes, computer diagnostics. Torque wrench checked and stretched the suspension.

So Sonata: a large comfortable sedan.

Engine 2.0 150 hp The most important thing is that IT IS ENOUGH everywhere. Well, at least for me and my family on board. Not a race, but I have nowhere and nowhere to race. There were cameras everywhere. But confidently in traffic - at any speed. Cruising speed on a good highway it’s 130, and usually 110. It picks up easily. And 150 goes without any problems. And more will go, but I don’t drive like that.

This motor is a descendant of the infamous G4KD. Only from grandma's iron they don't talk about their bullies. In practice, there are hundreds of 2.0-liter Korean cars driving around the city. There are also many owners among my friends. And no one complains. They drive and drive. They travel 100-150-200 thousand kilometers just fine. Perhaps they are lucky. But I don't care, to be honest. There is a three-year warranty, but beyond that is none of my business.

The gearbox is 6-speed hydromechanical. No problems or failures were noticed. An excellent durable unit. Shifts are quick and imperceptible.

The salon has become modern. The materials are high quality. The Koreans have made significant strides forward in the automotive industry. Mine is on a rag. The rag is decent, not easily soiled. The front seats in the back have plastic “protection” from children’s dirty feet.

There's plenty of space in the back. So many. Of all the competitors, only Superba has more. I sit behind me (110 kg and 183 cm) and can cross my legs.

The suspension is not standard. It is moderately comfortable and moderately tough. There have been no breakdowns yet. On high speeds along the highway - it's beautiful. In the city, on potholes and potholes, I would like more smoothness. The car runs on 95 gasoline and feels great. Consumption in the city is 10-11 liters. On the highway - 7-8 (depending on how you drive).

I bought floor mats - polyurethane 1,300 rubles, a trunk mat, polyurethane - 900 rubles. Signals, autostarts - no use. In winter, a maximum of -5 lasts for a week, we have a standard alarm and CASCO to help.

Bottom line

As a result, I can say that the Koreans have made an excellent balanced car. The new Sonata eats little, drives well, and has plenty of room. We can't hijack. Spare parts and consumables are cheap. There's no point in looking for a duplicate. Bullies? Maybe. And to hell with them. I'll check the warranty and see. The car is generally reliable, and there are no other problems with it. If it hurts, well, I’ll invest money in capital once every 6-7 years, and I’ll move on. Fortunately, the maintenance of the car is pretty cheap compared to its competitors. In German, you can invest 120-150 thousand in one DSG in 3-4 years. If we get lucky. I would recommend the Sonata, of course! Gentlemen, a car of this class and equipment costs 200 thousand more than the budget Solaris at maximum speed. In the database you can buy it for 1,200,000 rubles - this is a very decent price tag. Competitors are at least 1.5 million. All the best! I wish your cars don’t break down!

From the article you will find out where the main brands of cars are produced. Hyundai Creta, Solaris, Tucson, Santa Fe, Elantra, IX35, I40, which of them are produced in factories in Russia, and which in other countries, but for our country.

The geography of production is expanding

Long gone are the days when certain brands of cars were produced in any one country.

Previously, Audi was produced only in Germany, Chevrolet - in the USA, Peugeot - in France, and so on.

But the geography of production is expanding, new factories are being built in other countries, needs and, as a consequence, sales volumes are growing.

This approach allows us to saturate the market and provide everyone with cars.

Below we will dwell in more detail on Korean Hyundai cars, which are produced in many countries around the world (including Russia).

General information about Hyundai Motor

Hyundai Motor Company - South Korean automobile manufacturer having a wide the lineup and widely known throughout the world.

The founder of the concern is considered to be Chung Ju-Yong. It was he who opened the company in 1967, which was initially only part major project, and in 2003 it became an individual unit.

Initially, Hyundai Motor focused on cars, but one was also produced freight car Ford.

Over the next thirty years, the company developed and expanded its production scope. Five years after the opening, the production of Hyundai cars began, and two years later the Hyundai Poini model appeared.

By the 80s of the last century, production volume reached 50 thousand cars per year. In 1998, a significant event occurred in the history of the company - Kia Motros was absorbed.

The name Hyundai is translated from Korean as “modernity.” In fact, this word became the motto for manufacturers, who tried to embody new trends and trends in each model.

Sales figures

Hyundai Motor Company owns many car assembly plants not only in South Korea, but also in other countries of the world - the USA. Turkey, Czech Republic, Russia, China and others.

Finished cars are distributed to thousands of car dealerships and sold to tens of thousands of people every day.

In 2010, sales amounted to almost 1.75 million cars, and profits reached 32 billion.

In 2016, more than 145 thousand cars were sold (only in Russia). Generally speaking, this figure is tens of times higher. Many models are assembled or assembled on the territory of the Russian Federation - Sonata, Assent, Elantra, Santa Fe and others.

A large project was launched in 2007. It was then that we managed to conclude an agreement on the construction of a Hyundai plant in St. Petersburg.

Already in 2010, the first cars rolled off the assembly line. The plant's capacity was enough to produce about 200,000 cars annually.

In 2011, Solaris and Rio were assembled at the plant. Simultaneously with the plant in St. Petersburg, the production of component parts began, thanks to which already in 2010 Hyundai sales in Russia amounted to 87 thousand cars.

Hyundai Motor entered the market in 2004 hybrid cars mobiles, introducing the Click/Gets Hybrid model.

A year later, the model range was replenished with another “hybrid” - an offshoot of the Accent model.

Already in the first four years, about 800 Click hybrid cars were produced, and by the end of 2008, government agencies received about 3.4 thousand “hybrids”.

In which countries and where is Hyundai Solaris assembled, factories in Russia

Hyundai Solaris is well known to domestic car enthusiasts.

Today it is produced in South Korea, Turkey, the USA and many other countries.

With the advent of the plant in St. Petersburg, it is also assembled in Russia. Before the opening of production, all lines were checked for quality finished products and absence of marriage.

Once all checks were completed, production itself began.

Peculiarity Hyundai plant Motor in Russia - a responsible approach to production and strict adherence to technology.

This is not surprising, since more than half a billion dollars were invested in the construction of the site.

A little earlier, similar plants were built in a number of other countries - in the United States, Turkey, the Czech Republic, India and others.

main feature plant in the Russian Federation is full cycle production, when the entire assembly process takes place on the territory of one country, starting with the production of spare parts and ending with the adjustment of the electronic components of the machine.

On the territory of the plant there are workshops where spare parts are manufactured, as well as welding, assembly and painting of the machine.

There is also a stamping workshop, in which special attention is paid to product quality.

An important feature of the Hyundai Motor plant in Russia is its focus on process automation. This figure reaches 80 percent, which allows us to speak with confidence about the quality and reliability of finished cars.

Few people know, but in two workshops of the plant (painting and welding) people are not involved at all in the production process. All the work is done by so-called “transformers” - robotic manipulators. By the way, this equipment was also manufactured at the Hyundai plant.

An obligatory stage of production is the control line, where the machine undergoes quality control. When problems are identified vehicle sent for revision.

In 2016, the production of Hyundai Solaris in Russia was temporarily suspended, but, as company representatives assure, in March 2017 it will be presented to Russians updated version second generation car - which will begin to be assembled at the same plant in January of this year.

In which countries and where is Hyundai Greta (Creta) assembled, factories in Russia

Next model, worthy of attention- Hyundai Creta. Previously, the car was produced only for the Asian market, and production was established in India (Chennai).

Already the first year of sales has shown the success of the new model. Even before the start of the release, the number of applications exceeded 70 thousand. In addition to Asia, Hyundai Creta is sold in South American and African countries.

Interestingly, the Indian plant was designed to produce no more than 7 thousand cars per month.

Due to such restrictions, buyers had to stand in queues for a long time, and the waiting time sometimes reached 6-8 months or more.

Not surprisingly, key attention was paid to the issue of capacity expansion. Already in the first year of production, it was announced that the limit would be increased to 10 thousand cars per month.

As for the Russian market, Hyundai Creta appeared here later. Production is established at the already mentioned plant in St. Petersburg. The launch of the first line started in August 2016.

Machines come from the conveyor to dealer network and are sold out. The main difficulties are related to the need to reconfigure equipment for new model, because previously the plant on this line produced another model - Solaris.

But now Solaris production has been moved to another, more advanced line (read above).

On average, the St. Petersburg plant plans to produce 4-5 thousand cars monthly. The total volume of Hyundai Creta cars that should roll off the assembly line is 200 thousand units.

This is enough to cover the needs of not only Russia, but also neighboring countries.

It is worth noting that Russian Hyundai variant Creta has a number of differences. The main feature is the adaptation of the machine to Russian roads. This means that the ground clearance has been increased and a stiffer suspension has been installed.

There are restrictions in the choice of motors. Two engines are available for the Russian market - 1.6 and 2.0 liters. In this case, you can choose all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive.

Read here detailed review.

In which countries and where is Hyundai Tussan assembled, factories in Russia

In recent years, crossovers have gained unprecedented popularity. They are roomy, have good cross-country ability, have a solid appearance and are very economical.

It is not surprising why each of the manufacturers wanted to grab a “piece of their pie.” The Hyundai company was no exception, presenting a quite successful one to the market.

The car was developed on the basis of the famous ix35, released back in 2008. At the same time, the manufacturers did not hide the fact that new crossover- just an enlarged version of a passenger car.

The clearance of the Hyundai Tussan is 18 cm, which is quite enough for our roads.

The issue of assembly deserves special attention. Today, the production of the model is established in several countries - the Czech Republic, Turkey and South Korea.

There are large factories for the production of Hyundai cars in the United States, China and Mexico. By the way, some of the listed countries issued Hyundai models They are no longer engaged, but the factories still exist.

Crossovers come to Russia from a plant built in the Czech Republic. At the same time, the quality of the car’s assembly does not depend at all on the geography of production.

Strict quality control is carried out at each site, which eliminates the presence of defects.

In which countries and where is Hyundai Santa Fe assembled, factories in Russia

It’s not always clear where cars are assembled, because Last update The model was seven years ago (in 2010). By the way, from that moment on, no significant changes were made - only the appearance was adjusted.

For some period, Elantra was assembled for the Russian Federation and Europe in the Czech Republic (in the city of Nosovica).

The car was also produced in St. Petersburg. In 2009, assembly of the “South Korean” was established in Ukraine, at the Bogdan plant. At the same time, the main supplier still remains South Korea (Ulsan).

It is from there that the car is sent to many countries, including Russia. By the way, in the period from 2000-2007, Elantra was produced in Taganrog (“Tagaz”).

In addition to those already listed above, Elantra factories are located in Turkey, the Czech Republic, China, Brazil and India. But the main supplier for Russia (with rare exceptions) is South Korea.

In which countries and where is Hyundai IX35 assembled, factories in Russia

Hyundai IX35 is considered one of the most popular crossovers in Russia. Sales of the car first started in 2009, and the first deliveries began a year later.

  • L - Slovakia (Zilina);
  • J - Czech Republic (Nosovice);
  • U - Korea (Ul-San).

Car owners Korean assembly They claim that the plastic in the car is softer.

As for the Hyundai IX35 from Slovakia, many complain about a large number of shortcomings in the body part.

In which countries and where is Hyundai I40 assembled, factories in Russia

Hyundai I40 car - bright representative D-class. In fact, this is a “purebred” Korean, which was released in 2011, and today is considered one of the best-sellers (when compared with other models of the manufacturer).

By the way, the car appeared in a sedan body only a year later. Unlike many other models, the Hyundai I40 is assembled only in South Korea, in the city of Ulsan.

Results

Thus, the production of Hyundai cars is established in several dozen countries.

If we talk about Russia and Hyundai production for this country, the following points stand out:

  • South Korea, Ulsan. The largest plant where 70 percent of all Hyundai cars exported are produced.
  • The Taganrog plant (TAGAZ) assembled some Hyundai models until 2010.
  • In 2008, construction began on its own automobile plant in St. Petersburg, which began producing cars in 2010. The plant still operates today. It is located in the Kamenka district.
  • Türkiye. There is also large plant by Hyundai production. It has been working since 1998 to this day.

In addition to the countries listed above, Hyundai is assembled in China, the USA, the Czech Republic, Brazil and others. But cars from these countries are arriving in Russia less and less often or not at all.
