In the absence of a label, the subsequent start of the power unit will occur after entering the pin code.

The immobilizer will report the absence of an electronic key as follows:

  1. Blocker activation. The vehicle protection tool is waiting for a signal from the tag, while the ignition system is turned on. The LED is off, and the buzzer does not work, the power unit lock is deactivated. The duration of this action mode is 18 seconds.
  2. Activate the notification function. The security device warns the motorist about the absence of an electronic key within the range of the antenna. First, the user is notified by standard extended sound pulses and long blinking of the LED. This mode is valid for 1 minute, the power unit is not yet blocked.
  3. The next step is to turn on the final warning signals. Their duration will be shorter, the engine blocking is not yet enabled. The duration of the signals is determined by the consumer and is configured in accordance with technical guidance. The maximum pulse duration will be 55 seconds.
  4. Then the Panic mode is activated. The user is warned by the system about the absence of an electronic tag in the immo coverage area, the motor is blocked. The device will protect the engine until the key appears, the movement of the vehicle is impossible. The LED blinks five times in one cycle, the beeper alarms turn on.

The main functions and technical characteristics of the immobilizer

Both versions have similar specifications:

  • data transmission between the dongle and the antenna is carried out over a channel with a frequency of 2.4 GHz;

Step-by-step instructions for installing the immobilizer

Before installing the blocker, you must turn off the power in onboard network. To do this, open the hood and disconnect the terminals from battery. Use an appropriately sized wrench to loosen the clamp.

  1. The control unit is being installed, it must be placed in the most secretive place under the hood of the car. Possible malfunctions and ways to eliminate them

If the blocker is still under warranty, then you cannot repair this element yourself. It is necessary to check the integrity of the board in the key. If there are traces of oxidation on it, they must be carefully removed with a piece of cotton wool. Damaged contacts on the board are replaced with new ones by soldering.

In the case when the tag works every other time, it will be necessary to check the power source in it. If the battery in the key is dead, then it is replaced with a new one.

  1. First, a visual check is performed. You need to make sure that there is no damage to the case.

  4. Then the ignition is switched off and switched on again. The password entry procedure is repeated, but now the second digit must be entered.
  5. Identical actions are performed when specifying subsequent characters of the pin code. If the microprocessor module of the blocker accepts the password, the beeper will play the corresponding signal. The engine lock will be disabled.

The immobilizer pin code is assigned by the car manufacturer and cannot be changed by the owner.

Deleting a tag from memory

To erase information about the electronic key in case of its loss, the following actions are performed:

  1. Power sources are removed from all radio tags within the range of the blocker. The ignition is activated.
  2. Then you have to wait until the power unit is blocked. This will be signaled by a warning buzzer. The ignition can be turned off.
  3. The system is activated. User must start counting sound signals. The ignition is turned off after the tenth sound pulse. The procedure must be repeated twice.
  4. The ignition is activated and deactivated after the first or second beep, depending on the label number. It can be specified on the body of the electronic key.
  5. The password is being entered. It is necessary to turn on the ignition and count the sound signals, it turns off at the moment when the number of pulses corresponds to the first digit of the password. These steps are repeated for each character of the code.
  6. Then the ignition is turned on, the immobilizer should emit several short beeps. Their number depends on the total number of electronic keys entered into the memory of the control unit.
  7. To completely remove information about the label, the engine is unlocked. The procedure is carried out using an additional electronic key. You cannot delete information about the last recorded RFID tag.

Pros and cons of the device

To increase the efficiency of the system specifically for immobilizers Cesar Skybrake was created unique technology DD (Double Dialogue) wireless connection. This technology provides highly anti-jamming, anti-scan, and "vehicle-friendly" information exchange between multiple security system modules located in the vehicle. A vehicle equipped with this system can only be used if the personal transceiver (tag) is in the reception area. The range of the tag is about 7 meters. 7 5 Checking the health tag The battery life of the tag (CR2430 battery) is approximately 12 months. If, after starting the car engine, the system gives a series of three double beeps, you need to replace the tag battery with a new one. If the tag is in the car, but the engine does not start (blocked), it is necessary to check the battery condition of the Cesar Skybrake DD2+ tag: 1) turn off the ignition, open the tag housing and remove the battery from the electronic board; 2) place the battery back into the holder, observing the polarity; 3) a few seconds after installing the battery, you need to pay attention to the operation of the LED located on the electronic board of the tag: it should blink, which indicates normal condition batteries. If the LED does not flash, the battery needs to be replaced; 4) turn on the ignition and wait for the LED to flash again. — Good afternoon, Alexey! SkyBrake immobilizers are not equipped with emergency shutdown buttons. To start the car, disable the SkyBrake immobilizer completely. Distinctive feature of these systems is an ultra-compact case (slightly larger than a USB flash drive), which combines both a control unit and a blocking relay.

This allows anti-theft system installers to mount these systems in the most discreet way and in the most unusual places. For example, weave it into a wiring harness, mount it into the body of regular car blocks, etc.

If you manage to find the SkyBrake immobilizer unit, disconnect it from the car's wiring, and restore the blocked circuit.

Here is a diagram for Honda Accord 2006 (blocking of the electric fuel pump in the driver's lights).

The diagram shows an example of disabling the SkyBrake DD2 immobilizer; at present, this model has been discontinued and replaced by SkyBrake DD5. These systems are manufactured in one of the former Soviet republics and have high level reliability.
