On spy photos this car looked too much like Kia Optima, however, in reality, associations with the younger model do not arise immediately. Once upon a time in the early 2000s, Hyundai was called Robin Hood automotive world: He takes the design from expensive cars and gives it to the poor. Something similar can be said about the Stinger. Some elements of the body and interior evoke comparisons with a number of brands and models. Of course, we are not talking about direct borrowing. The manufacturer insistently emphasizes that the Kia Stinger has much more European than Korean. For example, the German Peter Schreyer was responsible for the design. In general, the appearance of the liftback was drawn in the Frankfurt division of Kia, whose head is the Frenchman Gregory Guillaume. And the chassis development took place on the Nürburgring track.
