Good handling, feels the road, takes corners deftly. But the suspension is a bit harsh. The manufacturer did not deceive regarding fuel consumption, but if you follow the odometer, at a speed of 90 - 110 kilometers per hour, the car “eats” 5.5 - 6 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers, but when you step on the gas to 150 kilometers per hour, then consumption immediately “jumps” to 10 liters per 100 kilometers. Of the “minuses” I immediately noted: there is no sound insulation on rear wheels(you can hear all the grains of sand and pebbles), short gears at the gearbox, there is not a full-size spare tire, but a stowage wheel, the rear “seat” folds together with the step, and also at an angle. I will conclude that the Kia Rio Hatchback III is an excellent car for the city (it will fit into every hole), and it also behaves normally in nature (I have never gotten stuck on the bottom). In the city, the 1.4 engine with air conditioning is dull, but not critical (I press the gas harder). On the highway it’s almost not noticeable (but I still turn it off before overtaking). Wheel arches without “noise” (the hum of rubber, pebbles, puddles is clearly audible), but this can be solved by replacing the standard Nexen/Kumho with a more quiet tires, wheel arch liners with STP. The interior quickly gathers dust, and crickets also appear (these are our roads, our realities). Easily buries itself in the snow. The gas tank is 43 liters - not serious. 6th gear is missing (but in principle the fines are large, 110 km/h is comfortable).

Works great, shifts smoothly, not noticeably. The interior is simple without any “Chinese” features in the form of chrome inserts and poisonous blue lighting. Everything in the car is in place: the window lifts are in place like the “Japanese” ones, the seats are comfortable, adjustable like everyone else, the steering wheel is only height-adjustable. There are heated steering wheels, rest zones for wipers, mirrors, rear window. The car is assembled, does not squeak, is moderately comfortable, reliable, starts and drives in any weather and is marketable secondary market. This winter I traveled in -45 degrees. Starts with half a turn after parking in a cold garage. Parking is very convenient because compact sizes, ground clearance allows you to fearlessly drive almost anywhere within reason. The air conditioning is rather weak for the southern regions, if you drive around the city/get stuck in traffic jams at a temperature of 35-40 degrees. Celsius. But on the highway it’s just freezing. Yes, and it adds a lot to consumption. In any case, I use it very rarely, since I have short trips around the city, and even then either early in the morning or late in the evening.
