What's new on gas. Secret developments of the Gorky Automobile Plant. New line of off-road and all-terrain vehicles GAZ-Trophy

One of the main exhibitors of the last exhibition COMTRANS-2017 was the GAZ Group, which was presented by President V.A. Sorokin. The GAZ Group, headquartered in Nizhny Novgorod, today acts as a leading manufacturer of commercial vehicles in the Russian Federation and includes divisions: Light commercial vehicles and passenger cars, Trucks, Buses, Power units and Autocomponents. ... It includes 13 factories in 8 regions of the Russian Federation. Today 42 thousand employees work directly in the company, and in related industries it creates about 400 thousand more jobs.

The export of GAZ Group products consistently from 2013 to 2016 expanded the geography of supplies from 23 to 46 countries of the world, and in 2017 it is planned to expand supplies to 51 countries of the world.

GAZ Group firmly holds the national market

In the Russian market for the first half of 2017, GAZ Group occupies 74% in the LCV segment for onboard models (76% for the same period last year), for CMF, respectively, 35% versus 31%, but the growth in minibuses is especially noticeable - 44% versus 36%. In the MCV (medium-duty) segment, its share is 71% against 70% a year earlier. Thus, due to the new NEXT family, AZ GAZ (Gorky Automobile Plant), which is responsible for these segments, has actually regained its leadership in such important market segments as all-metal vans and minibuses, where its products (Gazelle BUSINESS) were previously seriously pressed by foreign cars. In the segments of onboard and van LCV and MCV, nothing threatens his actual monopoly. Nevertheless, the GAZ Group is not going to stop at what has been achieved and continues to expand the range of models.

In the segment of civil heavy all-wheel drive trucks (classes E-17-21, i.e. with a total weight of 17-21 tons), the share of GAZ Group (products of AZ Ural) is 39% in the first half of 2017 against 36% a year earlier, also for by updating the model range and expanding the large-scale production of the Ural NEXT series. By the way, in terms of power units, GAZ Group occupies 32% (34%) in the segment of heavy engines, 38% (22%) in the segment of medium-sized engines and 37% (36%) in fuel systems.

In the socially significant bus segment, the share of GAZ Group reached absolute 100% (99%) for front-engine bus models (GAZ and PAZ brands), for city buses - 64% (45%), and in the intercity segment in 2017 it will approach 56% ( 52%).

New items of GAZ Group

At the COMTRANS-2017 exhibition, held at the Crocus Expo complex, GAZ Group presented the following novelties: a reinforced GAZelle NEXT flatbed truck with a total weight of 4.6 t, a 20-seater GAZelle NEXT minibus with automatic transmission, unified with it on the chassis. a GAZon NEXT truck with a total weight of 10 tons, a universal road dump truck and a 6x4 Ural NEXT truck tractor, as well as a right-hand drive version of the Ural NEXT flatbed truck.

In this regard, by the way, V. Sorokin said that today about 40% of cars in the world are right-hand drive and the GAZ Group should not stay away from the promising markets of countries with left-hand traffic.

In the bus segment, GAZ Group presented the first domestic electric city-bus A68R5E "Vakhtan" (after the name of the river and the village of the same name in the Nizhny Novgorod region) based on the promising low-entry frame bus GAZelle NEXT A65, shown at last year's Busworid-2016.

In addition, the Vector NEXT "Accessible Wednesday" small bus, the CURSOR Low Entry midibus and the new intercity cruise liner Cruise were on display.

Development stages of the GAZ light commercial vehicle line

In the LCV segment, AZ GAZ is consistently developing its model line from the basic onboard GAZelle NEXT of 2013 further through all-metal vans (CMF) 2015-2016 with a capacity of 11-13.5 m 3 and, accordingly, minibuses based on them with a passenger capacity of 13-17 19 seats for the current serial novelty of 2017 - the reinforced "GAZelle NEXT 4.6t" with a total weight of 4.6 tons, which is currently offered in an onboard version.

In the near future, the NEXT Van CMP with a volume of 15.5 m 3 will be presented, as well as a 20-seater minibus NEXT Bus, and at the exhibition it was shown not with a 6-speed manual gearbox, like a truck, but with an “automatic” manufactured by Punch.

In the course of modernization, "GAZelle NEXT 4.6t" already received as basic equipment a new frame with an extended wheelbase, a new reinforced rear axle, disc brakes on all wheels, a widened side platform, respectively, it became possible to use an elongated body with a wider central with a spacer, in addition, a rear air suspension is offered on the minibus (on order and on the CMF and the flatbed truck).

However, the release of versions of the CMF and low-entry buses based on the GAZelle NEXT 4.6t is scheduled only in 2018–2019. Now GAZ Group intends to practice a modular approach to the use of units within the framework of the Powertrain LCV strategy, according to which a promising light series (presumably "Sobol NEXT") with a gross weight of 2.8 tons receives the weakest 5-speed manual gearbox designed for MKM of 250 Nm , the average one and a half-ton series with a gross weight of 3.5 tons, respectively, is already equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox under 330 Nm, as well as in the future a 6-speed manual gearbox under 460 Nm or a Punch automatic gearbox. The same transmission types are intended for the NEXT 4.6t versions.

Engines for the GAZelle NEXT series with a gross weight of 2.8 and 3.5 tons will be the 2.7-liter EvoTech gasoline engine or the Cummins ISF2.8 and Volkswagen 2.0 TDI turbo diesel engines, respectively. By the way, a contract for the supply of such modern engines was recently signed by the GAZ Group and the Volkswagen AG concern. The heavier series with a gross weight of 4.6 tons will have both the usual Cummins turbodiesel and Volkswagen in more powerful BiTurbo iterations.

Development stages of the GAZ medium-duty truck line

The GAZon NEXT line of light medium-duty trucks (LDT) is developing along the following chain: from the basic versions of 2014-2015 with a gross weight of 8.7 t (including GAZon NEXT City) to versions with more lifting front and rear axles, based on which in 2016 –2017 the Vector Next 7.5 m bus and the GAZon NEXT 10t truck were created, and in 2018–2020, with the development of a new, even more powerful frame and a new rear axle, an elongated Vector Next 8.8 m bus and a GAZon NEXT 12t truck will appear and the GAZon NEXT 16t truck tractor.

The new "10-ton" truck "GAZon NEXT" differs from the base model with a reinforced frame and a wheelbase extended up to 5.15 m, as well as an increased onboard platform (including a Euro platform) and front and rear suspensions of the Vector NEXT type. The power plant received a diesel engine of the YaMZ-534 series with an increased to 170 hp. power and MKM 664 Nm with an engine brake, and a manual transmission with a cable drive.

In 2018, it is planned to release a shortened version for special superstructures, which, given the increased carrying capacity of the chassis, is intended to replace analogs with obsolete and generally extremely worn ZIL chassis, which nevertheless remain, due to the demand, quite massive in the country's park. For the first time, V. Sorokin stated clearly that GAZ was aimed at this capacious market segment. In principle, such an approach can only be welcomed, especially in terms of import substitution, since otherwise the segment of medium-tonnage trucks with a gross weight of 9–12 tons (carrying capacity 5–7 tons) will simply go under foreign cars. And the bonnet scheme is precisely an advantage here, not a disadvantage. Accordingly, the modular principle of completing Powertrain LDT was adopted by the GAZ Group, and here - on the base "GAZon NEXT" (l.m. 8.7 t), 5- and 6-speed manual gearboxes are installed, designed for MKM, respectively, 490 and 600 Nm in combined with diesel engine YaMZ-534 or gas-diesel engine YaMZ-534 CNG in iterations of 150 and 170 hp. On "GAZon NEXT" (r.m. 10 t), in addition to similar 5- and 6-speed manual gearboxes, they also provide for the installation of automatic gearboxes under the MKM 800 Nm. Accordingly, it uses only the 170-strong version of the YaMZ-534. On the promising "GAZon NEXT" (r.m. 12 t), only a 6-speed manual gearbox or automatic gearbox is provided, and the YaMZ-534 engine is boosted to 210 hp.

Such a high intra-family unification will reduce both the cost of the cars themselves and facilitate and reduce the cost of their service and operation both by individual owners and by motor transport enterprises. In addition, it will be possible for manufacturers of special superstructures to more fully meet the varied requirements of customers. Thus, it is GAZ "de facto" that becomes the ideological successor to the deceased ZIL.

Stages of development of the line of heavy trucks "Ural"

In the segment of heavy trucks (HCV), the line of models of AZ "Ural" is developing as follows: from the base truck and chassis "Ural NEXT", mastered in 2015-2016 in wheel formulas 6x6 and 4x4 with diesels and gas diesel YaMZ; in 2017, versions with a double cab and with a right-hand drive were added, and for 2018-2019, it is planned to develop a universal road (Mix-usage) subfamily as part of a T25.422 truck tractor for a 44-ton road train and a 16-ton C25 dump truck. 330 in 6x4 wheel arrangement.

A distinctive feature of the newest Mix-usage series is the ability to operate with a payload of up to 18 tons when operating off public roads in excess of the permitted axle loads (rated carrying capacity on normal roads is 14.5-16 tons).

The rear bogie is made with a spring-balance suspension (on semi-elliptical springs), which provides a load of up to 20 tons and the maximum possible articulation of the axles when driving over bumps. The ZF MKP drive uses a serva shift cable drive with an amplifier.

In addition, at CTT-2017 in June, a new civil chassis Ural-9593 with a wheel arrangement of 8x8 with a gross weight of 41-44 tons was shown, which became the first model on the new E44 platform. The chassis is designed for the installation of various technological units weighing 28.1–31.1 tons. This platform will replace the outdated Ural-M 5323/5423 series.

Stages of development of the line of small buses

Small electric bus A68E5 "Vakhtan" is designed for 16 passengers (13 seated or 10 seated and a wheelchair). The power reserve on a single charge is up to 100 km. The Siemens electric motor with a rated power of 63 kW can be “boost” for a short time up to 98 kW. MKM in the range of 160/300 Nm.

Space for a wheelchair is provided in the low-floor cabin

As you know, since 2017, the entire bus line of the GAZ Group has received a single trade brand "GAZ", although, as before, each standard size of buses is produced at the previous enterprises. So, the PAZ will continue to produce the so-called. "Commercial buses" - front-engined PAZ-3204 and Vector NEXT, which in 2017 received the performance "Accessible Environment" and automatic transmission. So, Vector NEXT 7.7 m was offered at COMTRANS'17 in versions for urban and commercial transport - with a rear double-leaf door and a storage area with fasteners for wheelchairs (52 common places, of which 17-19 are seated, plus one for a wheelchair user) and also in the version for intercity and corporate transport with a rear emergency single-leaf door (41 seats of which 25 + 1 seats).

By the way, a year earlier, at the Busworld-2016 exhibition, a 26-seat Vector NEXT school bus (25 seats for students and one for an accompanying person) was shown with a maximum speed limiter of 60 km / h, high seats with integrated head restraints, a sliding footboard of the main passenger door and shelves designed for the transportation of school bags, etc. Naturally, in addition to the specific yellow color, the school bus is equipped with all the required color and graphic attributes.

For the urban version of Accessible Environment, it is proposed to be equipped with an air conditioner, a fire extinguishing system, tinted glass or double-glazed windows, painting in the customer's colors, a digital tachograph, a video surveillance system and a video recorder, electronic flight indicators, the Talking City system, GLONASS navigation or GLONASS / GPS satellite navigation. as well as the ERA-GLONASS emergency system.

The intercity version additionally provides various options for seats, luggage racks, but of course, there is no specific equipment for urban transportation, except for electronic flight indicators. YaMZ-53443 engine (with EGR recirculation system) with a capacity of 150 hp. and MKM 490 Nm corresponds to the Euro-5 environmental class and is aggregated with a 5-speed manual gearbox GAZ C40R13. A more powerful 169-horsepower (MKM 597 Nm) diesel YaMZ-53423, aggregated with a 6-speed automatic transmission Allison 2100, is also provided for the urban version of the "Accessible Environment".

In 2018, a more capacious version of Vector NEXT with a length of 7.1 meters will be introduced to the market (unified with promising "GAZon NEXT 12t"). At the same time, a version shortened to 7.1 meters will appear within the Vector NEXT model range (analogue of the current PAZ-3203).

Development stages of the city bus line

LIAZ is responsible for "city buses", which in 2017 brought to the market a new version of LIAZ-429260LE KURSOR Low Entry 9.5 meters long (in addition to the earlier Low Floor version), in addition, equipped (on order) with a multiplex control system ...

The equipment of this bus generally corresponds to the smaller Vector NEXT model, with the exception of the optional autonomous liquid heater SPHEROS Thermo E-200, and the passenger capacity is 68 seats (27 seats, plus space for a stroller) or 75 seats (27 seats). Accordingly, there can be two or three side doors.

The rear-mounted YaMZ-53403 engine develops 210 hp. and 780 Nm. It can be aggregated optionally with Allison T2100 or ZF 6AP-1000B "automatic machines". In the future, it is planned to reduce the cost of the bus due to changes in the design and aggregate base. In 2019, it is planned to launch a city bus with a Euro-6 engine.

Large city electric bus project

Already in 2018, a serial 12.4-meter electric bus LIAZ-6274 of the 2016 model (further development of the pilot model of 2013) with an autonomous power reserve on a single charge of up to 90 km and up to 200 km, subject to recharging at terminal stops, will enter the commercial market , which allows to ensure the optimal daily mileage on the route of about 220 km. As part of cooperation with State Unitary Enterprise "Mosgortrans", the electric bus passed in the first half of 2017 "winter-spring-summer" tests on a real metropolitan route with passengers in a two-shift mode (January-July), and the total mileage during the test period exceeded 13,400 km. The daily mileage was increased to 220 km (9 flights on the M2 route). Siemens electric motor - 160-kilowatt with MKM 1020 Nm. Lithium manganese (NMC) or lithium titanate (LTO) batteries with a capacity of 130 kWh are rated for up to 10,000 charge-discharge cycles and charge in 4-6 hours on slow charging (in bus fleets) or 30 –60 min at fast (at the end stops) via a pistol-powered external charger with a capacity of 150 kW or additional internal recharging. The passenger capacity of the electric bus is, depending on the layout, from 75 to 90 seats (27-22 seats and 1-3 wheelchair seats). An air conditioner with a capacity of 30 kW is provided, and for the cold season - four autonomous liquid heaters. The power steering is powered from an electric drive, pneumatic dual-circuit brakes (along the axes) with ABS and EBS, the screw compressor is also electrically driven. In the future, for 2018, they intend to upgrade the electric bus to the optimal annual mileage of 350 km through the use of the E-bridge and ultra-fast (in 20 minutes, plus 10 minutes additionally) recharging through a pantograph, which will ensure a mileage of 50 km on a single charge. The electric bus should be integrated into a single lineup with GAZ buses.

Stages of development of the line of intercity buses

The development of intercity buses of the GAZ Group is expected from the current top model Cruise, updated in 2017 for the World Cup, with a new exterior cladding and "aquarium" side glazing, an increased capacity of up to 51 passengers, more capacious luggage compartments with new doors and luggage hatches, security systems ADAS to the new generation “midi” bus Voyage New 9 meters long, which is to be followed in 2019 by a large intercity Voyage New with a length of 11-13 meters, supposed to be used by GAZ units. The updated Cruise on Scania chassis is equipped with Scania BC13 113 inline six-cylinder turbodiesel with PDE injection system and ESM engine management system. The liner has a capacity of 47, 49 or 51 seats, depending on the configuration of a dry closet, a kitchen and a refrigerator. The liner is equipped with ABS, ESP, ASR, EBD, BA, ARP systems, as well as the ADAS driver assistance system, Wi-Fi and individual USB ports for each passenger seat. Naturally, there are audio and video systems for passengers. A wheelchair lift can be provided for the disabled. The driver can be provided with a berth.

Development of the CNG bus line

The GAZ Group has set itself the goal of maximizing the range of compressed natural gas (CNG) buses. Gas buses are produced on the basis of almost all models of commercial, urban and intercity manufacturers of the GAZ Group (GAZ, PAZ, KavZ and LIAZ) and are equipped with gas versions of the UMP EvoTech, YaMZ-534 E-5 CNG and YaMZ-536 E-5 CNG engines.

Among the tasks for this segment, the GAZ Group includes ensuring world-class quality, increasing operational efficiency and saving costs for fuels and lubricants, as well as localizing components of gas systems at Russian enterprises. The security system includes three levels of protection: against gas leakage, against pressure build-up and fire protection. According to the calculations of the GAZ Group marketers, the payback period for LPG CNG does not exceed 2.5–3 years. Federal co-financing (within the framework of the state program to stimulate the use of NGV fuel) makes it possible to reduce the cost of a bus by RUB 1.5-2.8 million.

Development of the Powertrain line

In the field of engine building, GAZ Group is consistently developing the Powertrain program, designed for the introduction of medium-sized gas engines YMZ-530 CNG in 2016–2017; in 2018 - heavy diesel engines YaMZ-658 (V8) increased to 530 hp. capacities, production of Common Rail systems under pressure up to 2000 bar and high pressure fuel pumps for Euro-5 and Euro-6; in 2019 - modernization of the YaMZ-534 / -536 series with a capacity of 130–330 hp. to the Euro-6 level (including CNG versions), as well as the creation of fuel equipment for diesel engines with a capacity of up to 2000 hp.

In 2020, it is planned to create a new generation of YaMZ-770 diesel engines with a capacity of 360-500 hp. ecological classes Euro-5 and Euro-6, as well as 9-speed MKP YMZ-1309, designed for MKM 130 kg · m. The newest family of in-line six-cylinder diesel engines YaMZ-770 (working volume 12.42 liters, 360-550 hp, 1700-2500 Nm) with a motor resource of 1 million km, designed for use on trucks of the Ural, MAZ and MZKT brands, mining dump trucks BelAZ, combines and tractors RSM, fuels and lubricants and PTZ. In addition, it is possible to use YaMZ-770 in diesel generator sets, in railway transport and ships. The annual production volume should be approximately 8-10 thousand. The series of these diesel engines is distinguished by a high degree of localization.

New line of off-road and all-terrain vehicles GAZ-Trophy

Within the framework of the COMTRANS-2017 exhibition, GAZ Group also demonstrated three models of a new model range of all-terrain vehicles, which, according to V. Sorokin, was decided to be given its own trademark “GAZ-Trophy”.

Among the models presented were the Vepr NEXT expeditionary 7-seater vehicle, the Sadko NEXT pickup with a two-row 7-seater cab and the Sobol Vsezdokhod amphibious 10-seater snow and swamp vehicle on pneumatic tires.

In addition, a serial utility vehicle "Sobol Farmer" was shown with a two-row cab, a metal bumper, a new instrument panel and off-road tires.

In the future, the development of the GAZ-Trophy model range involves the creation of a series of pick-ups and expeditionary minibuses "Sobol NEXT", as well as heavy models of the Ural NEXT series similar in purpose. Under the new sub-brand, they also intend to sell the GAZ-3344 articulated tracked snow and swamp vehicle, produced by the Zavolzhsky plant of tracked tractors.

The history of the open joint-stock company "GAZ" (formerly "Gorky Automobile Plant") dates back to 1929. March 4, 1929 a decision was made by the Supreme Council of the National Economy of the USSR and an order was signed on the construction of an automobile plant. April 6, 1929 the decision on the choice of the area for the construction of the future automobile plant - near the city of Nizhny Novgorod was approved.

What cars were produced by the GAZ plant?

GAZ-A

GAZ-A is a middle class passenger car with an open 5-seater 4-door phaeton body. A licensed copy of the Ford-A car, the equipment and documentation for the production of which were purchased by the Soviet government in the United States in 1929 from the Ford Motor Company.

The first Soviet passenger car of mass conveyor assembly. Produced from 1932 to 1936 at the Gorky Automobile Plant and from 1933 to 1935 at the Moscow plant KIM. The first two cars were assembled on December 8, 1932. A total of 41,917 vehicles were produced.

M-1 ("Emka") - Soviet passenger car, mass-produced at the Gorky Automobile Plant from 1936 to 1943.

During the Great Patriotic War, the plant assembled individual copies from the available parts.

The car became one of the symbols of its era, played a significant role in the war years, as it was one of the most common models of passenger cars in the country and was used very widely.

A total of 62,888 copies were made.

Pobeda is a cult Soviet passenger car that was mass-produced at the Gorky Automobile Plant in 1946-1958. The factory index of the model is M-20.

The first Soviet passenger car with a monocoque body and one of the first in the world to be mass-produced with a completely pontoon-type body - without protruding fenders and their rudiments, footrests and headlights.

On June 28, 1946, the serial production of Pobeda cars began. A total of 235,999 cars were produced, including 14,222 convertibles and 37,492 taxis.

ZIM (until 1957), GAZ-12 - Soviet six-seater six-window long-wheelbase large sedan, mass-produced at the Gorky Automobile Plant (Molotov Plant) from 1949 to 1959 (some modifications - to 1960.)

ZIM is the first representative model of the Gorky Automobile Plant. The predecessor of the "Chaika" GAZ-13. Basically, it was used as a company car ("personal") intended for the Soviet, party and government nomenklatura - at the level of the minister, secretary of the regional committee and chairman of the regional executive committee and above, in some cases it was sold for personal use.

In total, from 1949 to 1959, 21,527 copies of ZIM / GAZ-12 of all modifications were produced.

GAZ-21 "Volga" is a Soviet passenger car of the middle class, mass-produced at the Gorky Automobile Plant from 1956 (1957) to 1970. The factory model index was originally GAZ-M-21, later (since 1965) - GAZ-21. A total of 639,478 copies of all modifications were produced.

GAZ-13 "Chaika" is a Soviet representative (representative) passenger car of a large class, produced in small series at the Gorky Automobile Plant from 1959 to 1981.

A total of 3,189 vehicles of this model were manufactured.

GAZ-14

GAZ-14 "Chaika" is a Soviet executive passenger car of a large class, hand-assembled at the Gorky Automobile Plant from 1977 to 1988.

In total, about 1120 cars of this model were manufactured.

GAZ-22

GAZ-22 "Volga" is a Soviet passenger car of the middle class with a station wagon body. Serially produced from 1962 to 1970 at the GAZ plant in the city of Gorky. Equipped with a five-door monocoque body with a 5-7-seater convertible interior. The base car is the GAZ-21R sedan of the third series. GAZ-22 (early releases - GAZ-M-22) was designated as a separate cargo-passenger model (thus, the "station wagon GAZ-21" did not exist). The GAZ-22 had various modifications, and on its basis the GAZ-22B ambulance and (by other factories and workshops) the GAZ-22A van were produced.

GAZ-22 is one of the world's first crossovers.

GAZ-24 "Volga" - Soviet middle class car, mass-produced at the Gorky Automobile Plant from 1970 to 1985

GAZ-24-10 "Volga" is a middle class passenger car, manufactured by the Gorky Automobile Plant. In essence, the GAZ-24-10 is a palliative version of the modernization of the GAZ-24 based on the model of a deeper modernization of the GAZ-3102, the deployment of a large-scale production of which was artificially blocked at the level of the branch ministry. It was produced from the end of 1985 until the spring of 1992, when it was replaced by the GAZ-31029 model, which was a version of the GAZ-3102 adapted for mass production.

Since the release of the car coincided with many transformations in the country (the era of perestroika), it went down in history as the first Volga accessible to a wider circle of people, including for purchase in private hands (unlike GAZ-24 and even more so GAZ-3102) ... But at the same time, it retained a relatively high build quality (when compared with the successors of the GAZ-31029 and even the GAZ-3110).

GAZ-3102 "Volga" is a large-class Soviet passenger car, serially produced from April 1982 to 2008 by the Gorky Automobile Plant. Developed on the basis of the GAZ-24 Volga car, the GAZ-3102 was to become its successor.

However, for a number of political and economic reasons, this project was produced in small series (about three thousand cars per year), instead of mass production, exclusively as an official vehicle by the Soviet nomenclature of the middle management. These were the positions for which the exclusive GAZ-14 "Chaika" limousine had not yet been assigned, but the status required separation from the general stream. These were deputy ministers, directors of large trusts and enterprises, heads of well-known theaters, generals, prominent academicians-laureates, editors of publications, directors, etc.

GAZ-31105 "Volga" is a Russian passenger car, mass-produced on an assembly line from 2004 to 2009 at the Gorky Automobile Plant.

In fact, the "105th" is an improved version of the GAZ-3110. Improvements include a pinless front wheel suspension, a rear anti-roll bar, and an improved gearbox. The appearance of the car has also been modernized: instead of angular headlights, drop-shaped ones are installed, the radiator grille, front fenders, hood and front bumper have been replaced.

In 2005-2007. a version of the "business class" GAZ-311055 with a wheelbase extended by 300 mm and doors lengthened by 150 mm was produced on order.

Volga Siber (Volga Cyber) - Russian mid-size sedan, produced from 2008 to 2010.

Presented by the Russian company GAZ Group at the Interauto-2007 exhibition in Moscow on August 29, 2007 as GAZ Siber. Later the trade name of the model was changed to Volga Siber.

Gorky Automobile Plant (GAZ) was built in 1932. For a long time it was the largest manufacturer of automotive equipment in the USSR. At the beginning of this century, the car plant entered the largest auto holding in Russia under the name GAZ Group. The holding, which unites 13 auto enterprises, develops and manufactures passenger cars, medium and heavy duty trucks, buses, as well as power units and automotive components.

All products manufactured under the GAZ brand have the following main advantages:

  1. Modern design.
  2. Security.
  3. Reliability.
  4. Affordable price.
  5. Economical operation.

This fall, at special events during the State Council in Ulyanovsk and within the framework of the COMTRANS-17 International Auto Show, GAZ Group presented a whole line of new models of cars of its own production of the 2017-2018 model. Among the inserted samples, the following vehicles should be noted.

This city bus is designed for use on routes with a high passenger flow. With a length of 12 m, it has a capacity of 108 passengers.

The main feature of the 5292 CNG model is the installation of the YaMZ-530 gas engine. These power units have a capacity of 286.0 liters. with. and complies with the environmental standard "Euro-5", which is very important in urban operation.

In addition, the equipment of the bus includes:

  • ABS system;
  • power steering;
  • Automatic transmission;
  • body tilt device for the convenient embarkation and disembarkation of passengers.

The LiAZ-5292 CNG salon is equipped with special anti-vandal seats, lined with wear-resistant material, route information boards, an autonomous heater and video surveillance cameras.

The production of a gas-powered bus is scheduled for early 2018, while the cost, depending on the equipment, will start at 7.0 million rubles.

GAZelle NEXT Citiline

Citiline is a new small bus with a capacity of 21 people. Designed primarily for suburban routes, but can also be used for urban transport.

The main feature of this bus is the presence of a reinforced load-bearing frame in the body structure, on which hinged elements made of fiberglass and durable galvanized steel are installed. Such a body made it possible to expand the volume of the minibus, which automatically forms an improved comfort for passengers. This is confirmed by the following dimensions (m):

  • length - 6.08;
  • height - 2.72;
  • width - 2.53;
  • wheelbase - 3.75.

The minibus is equipped with a four-cylinder engine with a volume of 2.80 liters and a capacity of 120.0 liters. with. This allows, together with a five-speed manual transmission, to reach a speed of 110 km / h.

Among the equipment that Citiline is equipped with, the following should be highlighted:

  • LED interior lighting;
  • improved driver's seat with lateral support and armrest;
  • new location and design of handrails;
  • low passenger area for entry and exit;
  • swing entrance door equipped with an electromechanical drive;
  • increased power of the heating system of the passenger compartment.

GAZ started production of this bus in the third quarter of 2017, and its cost starts from 1.5 million rubles (modification for the city).

Boar NEXT

The new Vepr car is an off-road 4WD pickup truck. When developing this pickup, the GAZ-Sadko car was taken as a basis. Boar NEXT stands out for its aggressive and powerful appearance, so that it fully corresponds to the status of an SUV.

The key features of the car are the presence of a two-row seven-seater cab and a metal platform with a tailgate. The pickup received the following dimensions:

  • length - 6.43 m;
  • wheelbase - 3.77 m;
  • width - 2.27 m;
  • height - 2.60.

Off-road properties of a car are formed due to the following points:

  • high ground clearance (31.5 cm);
  • downshift gearbox;
  • systems for adjusting the air pressure in tires;
  • self-locking differentials of both axles;
  • 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires.

A powerful diesel power unit with a capacity of 149.0 liters. with. provides a lifting capacity of 2.50 tons, and a speed of up to 115 km / h

The start of production of a new off-road pickup truck is scheduled for the end of 2017, and its cost will start at 2.0 million rubles.

Conclusion

The new GAZ cars and buses presented at the official autumn events, scheduled for release in 2017-2018, indicate the policy pursued by the holding's management to expand the model range and thereby increase the volume of sales of its products.

Times are difficult, and almost all domestic commercial vehicle manufacturers are suffering losses. Auto giant KamAZ finished 2016 with an income of slightly more than 600 million rubles, they had to be invested in development. AvtoVAZ promises to achieve positive dynamics only after a year and a half, and in 2016 its net loss amounted to 44.8 million rubles. The only company that managed to increase its revenue by 24% is GAZ Group.

The company's success formula is simple - constant launch of new high-quality and inexpensive cars on the market and cost optimization. Against the background of a general decline in sales from competitors, GAZ Group increased sales of Gazelle-Next minibuses only in Russia by 90%, and Gazon-Next trucks in various modifications by 37%. This is despite the fact that the general market of commercial vehicles in the Russian Federation grew by only 4%. But this was not a breakthrough, but only preparation for rapid development, since the company presented several potential bestsellers in the commercial vehicle segment, they will appear in dealerships in the near future.

Sobol-Business, off-road course

Since the UAZ 2206 was hopelessly outdated, it seemed that there could be no alternative to it among domestic all-wheel drive commercial vehicles. It turned out that it can. Moreover, the new Sobol-Business 4WD in cross-country ability is not inferior to the "Loaf", and in terms of comfort it surpasses the Ulyanovsk "dinosaur" at times, largely due to the basic equipment: ergonomic seats, modern dashboard, power windows, ABS, audio system with steering wheel control. And the diesel Sable gets a pre-heater and cruise control as a bonus. The SUV comes in several versions, to which in 2016 a "farm" modification with a two-row cab and an onboard platform was added, and a gasoline Evotech appeared in the range of engines.

For boosting off-road conditions, a low gear is provided, an interaxle locking of the rear differential, and a switchable front axle saves fuel on the asphalt. Victories in rally-raids speak volumes about off-road abilities: the crew of the sports Sobol (pilot Tatyana Eliseeva, navigator Alexander Semenov) won silver in category R at the Northern Forest 2017 rally, losing only to Gazelle-Next.

The natural fate of such a successful model is customer recognition. The SUV has gained a lot of fans, for whom the Sable Paths event was organized by the GAZ plant in 2016. It is characteristic that in the competitive part of the rally of "Sobolevodov" the car won without any modifications, in standard factory equipment, with an UMP engine.

At GAZ, they are not going to stop there: the premiere of the Sobol with even more outstanding off-road characteristics is scheduled for 2017, which promises to be a rather interesting novelty.

New Gazelle-Next asks for category "C"

Along with the most popular one and a half ton Gazelle, the company will soon start producing a car with increased payload. A heavy modification of a familiar vehicle will be able to take on board almost 2.5 tons of cargo, and in the passenger version of a semi-low-floor bus, 24 passengers. If we install an all-metal van on the chassis, its useful volume will be 15.5 cubic meters. This version of the Gazelle appeared for a reason.

The niche between the lorry and the five-tonne Lawn-Next was still empty. There were imported trucks with similar characteristics, mainly made in China with the appropriate build and design quality. And the European Volkswagen Crafter, Ford Transit, Mercedes Sprinter are 1-1.5 million rubles more expensive at the start, and even more so in operation. What about the Sprinter Classic produced in Nizhny Novgorod? Nizhny Novgorod Mercedes in the minimum configuration with a short wheelbase costs from 1.7 million rubles, does not offer onboard models and takes on board no more than one and a half tons. Therefore, our carriers manage to load almost twice as much into a one and a half ton Gazelle, which affects both the resource of equipment and safety. The future 2.5-ton truck will remove these problems, but will require a category “C” license. The new Gazelle will have a reinforced rear axle, disc brakes on all wheels, and a wider cargo platform.

Lawn-Next will add strength and weight

Until recently, buyers of GAZ vehicles could only count on 5-ton Lawns with a total weight of 8.7 tons. If a more serious car was needed, the consumer looked either towards KamAZ or foreign cars. And in this segment, the choice is not too large - used MAN, Scania and Chinese Foton or FAW, which, however, are one and the same. From the fall of 2017, the situation promises to change radically.

The GAZ Group brings to the market Gazon-Next with a carrying capacity of up to 10 tons. Most likely, we are talking about a truck tractor presented in 2015 with a semitrailer with a volume of 50 cubic meters and a YaMZ engine with a capacity of 210 liters. with. and 780 Nm of torque. The car will be equipped with pneumatic rear suspension and reinforced transmission. The standard Lawn-Next improvements will also not be spared: the power of the Yaroslavl diesel engine will increase to 170 liters. with., and the minimum turning radius will decrease from 8.2 to 6.8 m.

Electrogazel and other prospects of the GAZ Group

Recently, a worldwide trend has become the transfer of commercial vehicles to electric traction. Indeed, why not? Trucks and buses emit much more pollutants than cars and tend to run on a schedule that allows time to recharge batteries in advance. The GAZ Group also understands this, and are already developing a number of commercial electric vehicles. Moreover, specialized companies have already successfully implemented similar projects based on the Gazelle.

The engineering department of GAZ together with SpetsAvtoEngineering JSC has developed an all-electric Gazelle-Next Electro based on an all-metal van. The Siemens electric motor with a capacity of 99 kW and a torque of 300 Nm can accelerate a minibus to 90 km / h and has a power reserve of 120 km. Under the hood of the Gazelle-Next Electro there is a liquid-cooled power inverter-converter and a traction electric motor. At the same time, the transmission is no different from the standard one. The total mass of the electric vehicle is 4.2 tons, and the carrying capacity is 1500 kg. After running 120 km, the battery requires three hours of charging. Since 2016, the car has been mass-produced, while the plant gives a guarantee of 150,000 km of mileage and 36 months for a lithium-ion battery. Work on the project does not stop, and soon the electrogazel should come close to the gasoline counterpart in terms of characteristics, and most importantly, in terms of price. So far, 6.5 million rubles excluding VAT are the most serious obstacle on the way to a bright electric future. Despite this, several parties of Gazelle-Next Electro are already working at the enterprises. They received modifications of mobile laboratories and workshops, a passenger electric minibus, as well as minibuses for collectors and for work at airports, is being launched into a series.

It is safe to say that GAZ Group is going through good times. Profits are growing, which means that new developments can be expected. We are talking about expanding the model range, and about the introduction of various modern options, such as a stability control system, airbags, an automatic transmission. And, of course, engines of the ecological standard "EURO-6". Also, the construction of a car with "autopilot" is not far off.

Against the background of the growing export orientation of the Russian automotive industry, "" presented new products that will not only help the enterprise enter new segments for it, but also increase the volume of equipment sold abroad. The presentation of the new models took place at the International Exhibition of Commercial Vehicles held in September, in which more than 200 companies from 13 countries took part.

"Lawn NEXT": six tons and 12 euro pallets

Among the new products of the Russian company: the medium-tonnage "Gazon NEXT" with a carrying capacity of 6 tons, which is capable of carrying one ton more than the standard "Lawn" of the new generation. Until recently, this niche has been dominated by trucks. But after the bankruptcy of the Moscow plant, carriers were left without available six-ton trucks and the vacant niche began to be filled with imported equipment. Now the domestic analogue has reappeared on the market.

By design, the "heavy" version of the "Lawn NEXT" differs significantly from the five-ton model. To increase the carrying capacity of the machine, the engineers used the forced turbodiesel YaMZ-534, produced at the group's engine plant, and the rear air suspension, which allows you to adjust the height of the body during loading and unloading. The wheelbase of the car has increased by 635 mm, and the body with a width of 2550 mm can now accommodate 12 euro pallets.

Mobile benches from "Gazelle NEXT"

Gazelle NEXT also has a "heavy" version. This model has acquired a modification weighing 4.6 tons. With a carrying capacity of 2,618 tons, the machine will become an intermediate link between Gazelle and Gazon. Up to this point, this segment was occupied by foreign cars. On this chassis, the plant plans to make all-metal vans, buses and special equipment, including food trucks and mobile shops, which are becoming more and more popular.

Under the hood of "Gazelle NEXT" is the proven Cummins ISF turbodiesel engine with a capacity of 149 hp, which is aggregated with a six-speed manual transmission, capable of transmitting torque up to 460 Nm. Initially, however, the car will go on sale with a traditional five-speed transmission, and the new box will be available from the beginning of 2019. Serious changes have also been made to the chassis: the frame is additionally reinforced, the rear axle and springs are of increased carrying capacity, and the brakes on all wheels are disc brakes.

Heavy trucks and swamp vehicles

In the segment of heavy vehicles, the road Ural NEXT 6x4 became a sensation. Previously, bonnet trucks from Miass were offered only in off-road design with a 6x6 wheel arrangement. Now the exhibition presented a chassis with a gross weight of up to 25 tons, as well as a tractor with a gross weight of up to 50 tons. The chassis has a 330-horsepower YaMZ-536 diesel engine paired with a 9-speed gearbox, the tractor has a 422-horsepower YaMZ-653 engine and a 16-speed gearbox.

One of the main exhibits of the exhibition is a floating swamp-going vehicle on portal bridges, created on the basis of Sobol. The exposition also included the Vepr NEXT all-terrain vehicles, a pickup truck and a van based on GAZ-33088 Sadko units. At the same time, as the president of GAZ Group said, the Russian automaker is preparing a whole line of vehicles for difficult terrain.

Engines, buses and electric buses

In the segment of power plants, GAZ Group presented a completely new development - an in-line 6-cylinder diesel engine YaMZ-770 with a volume of 12.43 liters. Depending on the boost, the engine power can vary from 360 hp. up to 550 hp Motors from the new family, according to the manufacturer, are economical, have a resource of more than 1 million kilometers and can meet the environmental requirements of Euro-6. They can be installed both on trucks and buses, and on "BelAZ", railway equipment.

Part of the heavy equipment was placed on the street in front of the pavilions. In this part of the exhibition, in particular, an updated version of the Cruise bus was exhibited. The new design was specially developed for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The 51-seater car, built on a 400-horsepower Scania chassis, is designed for long-distance tourist and intercity routes.

An electric bus was also shown here, which has been operating on Moscow routes for seven months and has carried 25 thousand passengers during this time. A long test showed that the car is quite ready for full-fledged operation, they are confident in the GAZ Group.

Another important premiere was the Gazelle NEXT universal electric platform, on the basis of which it is possible to build trucks, vans and buses. The frame bus shown at the exhibition can carry from 16 to 22 passengers. Soon, the new development will receive serial status, but first GAZ will master the production of a diesel modification of the model.

As the president of GAZ Group Vadim Sorokin said at a press conference, all the company's products, including the presented novelties, were created not only on the basis of supplies to the domestic market, but also with an eye to sales abroad. In particular, to the Philippines. Thus, a corresponding agreement was signed at the exhibition.

In turn, the chairman of the Supervisory Board of Basic Element, the main owner of GAZ Group, also noted that in recent years GAZ has regularly presented new models. “This year, we put a special emphasis on expanding the range of vehicles and modifications that will allow us to take strong positions in foreign markets. For us, this is a new stage in the development of the company and an opportunity to expand sales markets. Taking into account the difficult economic realities in the country, building up the export potential is one of the strategically important tasks of the GAZ Group in the near future, ”Deripaska said.

As specified in the GAZ Group, at present, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and Asia are considered promising regions for export.
