Car security system with two-way communication

The new security system with a built-in adapter for matching with the digital information buses of CAN and K-Line vehicles is equipped with the latest radio signal coding algorithm MAGIC CODE™ PRO 3.

Qualitatively new level encryption of the control radio signal allows the new model to easily repel any attempts of electronic hacking, even with the use of special equipment latest generation. The fact is that the latest encryption algorithm MAGIC CODE ™ PRO 3, which is equipped with SCHER-KHAN MAGICAR 12, involves the use of two encryption keys at once, and one of them is individual, that is, suitable only for one specific system. One of the keys is used once when registering the key fob to the processor unit. Another key is also fixed in the block and is further used to encrypt commands sent over the air.

The premium model has an unprecedented wide range optional service options. The owner can use features such as "Smart Turbo Timer" (automatic detection of the engine shutdown delay to cool its turbine); Pit-Stop (protection with a running engine without a key in the ignition); " Free hands» (automatic arming or disarming when the driver with a key fob-communicator moves away or approaches). In addition, with the help additional relays optional function can be realized in SCHER-KHAN MAGICAR 12 auto start engine. Autostart in new system can be made by command from the key fob or external device. There are various options for timed start: once a day or periodically after 2, 4 or 8 hours. Additionally, timed starts can be limited by the temperature value in the car interior or the voltage level in the onboard network. Automatic start can be implemented on absolutely any car, no matter if it will be with automatic or mechanical box gears, with diesel or gasoline engine or with a "virtual" start system. Additionally, thanks to the ability to connect SCHER-KHAN MAGICAR 12 to the digital bus of a modern car, it is possible to implement such convenient function as "Comfort" - automatic closing windows and sunroof, folding electric mirrors when arming.

Protection potential and many of the most modern technologies give confidence that your car will not be hacked.

New defense system

The Scher-Khan magicar 12 radio channel is protected from hacking by several levels at once. The transmitted commands are encrypted using the MAGICCOD PRO3 algorithm. Each transmitted signal varies, so it is not possible to record and reproduce it.

A special exit sensor will notify the owner of the car when it is needed, for example, if your car has blocked the road. Technology - turbo timer is able to shut down turbocharged engines smoothly and thereby extend their service life.

In Scher-Khan magicar 12, a new type of keychain is also used, it has also become much more convenient, its use is more ergonomic and easier. In addition to the listed technologies, the alarm is capable of remotely starting the engine and automatically starting it, by timer or depending on temperature.

Active security

Sherkhan Magikar 12 is equipped with a multi-stage type of security technology that insures the vehicle not only from conventional types of burglary, but also from intelligent ones. PIN-1. Only the owner of the car knows.

Thus, if the car key is lost or stolen, the attackers will not be able to open the car. Also, this function is important when passing vehicle for service at the service station. PIN-2 is very useful, while the remote security system lost or stolen. Given code input via the call sensor.

Remember! The PIN-code is indicated on the security system owner's card. Which is issued upon purchase.

The alarm system is equipped with a two-way type connection, which works perfectly in the city and is practically not afraid of any interference. Turbo timer technology contributes to the correct shutdown of turbocharged engines. This approach increases their resource.

The SLAVE algorithm implements the full functionality of the entire security system directly from the key fob. Comfort mode - closes all windows in automatic mode when the vehicle is armed. "Free hands" - will help the owner when his hands are busy, for example, with some kind of luggage. Protection scher khan magicar 12 turns off as soon as you approach the car at a given distance, respectively, on the contrary, when you move away from it, the vehicle automatically becomes armed.

Auto engine start

This technology can be implemented on vehicles with transmissions and engines of any type, including those equipped with the "Start/Stop" button. The start time of the motor is set from the key fob, in the interval of one minute.

The Scher-Khan magicar 12 also provides the ability to automatically start, while taking into account both outdoor temperature and the temperature inside the car.

In the event of a minor impact to the vehicle body, the system warns with 4 short siren sounds* and 4 hazard flashes or only 4 short siren sounds*, depending on the status of programmable function 1-16 (see page 83). The keyfob communicator emits a short tone signal, the symbol flashes on the display. If the impact is strong, the system goes into alarm mode for 10 seconds. SCHER-KHAN MAGICAR 12 * The presence of siren signals is determined by the value of the programmable function 1-3 (see page 77) and the combination of buttons I + II (see "Siren signal mute" on page 38). AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCK CONTROL WHEN THE IGNITION IS ON AND OFF, WHEN THE ENGINE IS RUNNING, OR WHEN SPEEDING UP Using the programmable function 1-2 (see page 76), you can turn on or off automatic control central locking when the ignition is turned on and off, when the engine is running or when accelerating. If programmable function 1-2 is set to 2, then the door locks will be automatically locked after 5 seconds. after the ignition is turned on, provided that all doors and trunk are closed. The programmable function 1-2 in value 3 allows, after starting the engine, to lock the door locks when a generator signal appears or the threshold value tachometric signal, if the appropriate connections were made when the system was installed and the tachometric signal value was programmed (see "Programming the tachometric signal" on page 69). The programmable function 1-2, set to 4, ensures that the locks are locked when the speed exceeds 10 km/h (to implement this function, it is necessary to connect the processor unit to the car's CAN data bus). The possibility of implementing this function should be clarified with a system installation specialist. Locking the locks by ignition or generator signal is possible once from the moment the engine is started. The locks are unlocked immediately when the ignition is switched off. The presence of a symbol on the keyfob display serves as an indication of the enabled state of the function. MODE "TURBO" If the car has an engine equipped with a turbine, then after a long work on high revs it is not recommended to stop it immediately. The engine should idle for some time to cool the turbine. For this, the SCHER-KHAN MAGICAR 12 system has a Turbo mode. To implement this function, it is necessary that the appropriate connections and settings are made during system installation. If the Turbo mode is enabled, the engine will continue to run after the ignition is turned off. Using programmable function 2-28 (see page 89) you can choose between 2.4 minutes of Turbo operation or an auto-determined range of 2 to 4 minutes depending on the engine RPM for the last 5 minutes. The "Turbo" mode with auto-detected run time can only be realized if engine control by tachometer signal has been selected and a tachometer signal value has been programmed (see "Programming the tachometer signal" on page 69). The indication of the use of the "Turbo" mode is the presence of a symbol on the key fob display. Using the programmable function 1-12 (see page 81) you can choose the way the Turbo mode is activated: , provided that the parking brake is applied, the hood is closed, the brake pedal is not depressed. If the value 2 of the programmable function 1-12 is set, the interception of ignition at the moment of switching on the "Turbo" mode is carried out by double short pressing the key fob button II, provided that the parking brake is on, the hood is closed, the brake pedal is not pressed. If the value 3 of the programmable function 1-12 is set, the ignition interception at the moment the Turbo mode is turned on will occur automatically when the ignition is turned off, provided that the parking brake is on, the hood is closed, the brake pedal is not pressed. If the value 4 of the programmable function 1-12 is set, the ignition interception at the moment of switching on the "Turbo" mode will occur automatically by SCHER-KHAN MAGICAR 12 when the door is opened, provided that the parking brake is on, the hood is closed, the brake pedal is not pressed. To turn on the Turbo mode at the end of the trip, do the following: 1. With the engine running, put the gear lever in the neutral or P (Park) position. 2. Apply the parking brake. Release the brake pedal. 3. Carry out ignition interception according to the value of programmable function 1-12. Turn the ignition key from the ON position to the OFF position. The engine will continue to run after this set time, the warning light will flash once every 5 seconds (depending on programmable function 1-16, see page 83). When Turbo mode is enabled: BELL SIGNAL: No signal Blinks 1 time per ALARM: 5 sec. (programmable function 1-16, see page 83) LED: According to system status Vehicle headlights flash five times, smoke and mode symbols flash DISPLAY: Turbo, countdown to end of Turbo mode starts BEEP KEY FOB: Two double beeps Note: The Turbo mode can only be activated with the parking brake applied, the brake pedal not depressed and the hood closed. Activation of the "Turbo" mode is possible once from the moment of activation of the parking brake and not earlier than after 30 seconds. after starting the engine. If the starter lock is used, the activation of the "Turbo" mode will be accompanied by the activation of the starter lock. You can arm the system in Turbo mode. To do this, get out of the car, close all doors, trunk and briefly press button I on the key fob. The system will go into armed mode, the door locks will be locked, the starter interlock will be enabled until the system is disarmed and the Turbo mode ends. The ignition lock will not be activated until the end of the engine operation or until the start of an alarm. Arming the system with the engine running with the car's standard key fob in SLAVE mode may not be available and depends on the characteristics of a particular car. When arming: SIREN SIGNAL: ALARM: One beep* Flash once* arming, LED indicator will start: After flashing at a rate of 1 time per second, a closed padlock symbol will appear, vehicle headlights will flash five times, DISPLAY: smoke symbol will continue to flash and “Turbo” mode, the time is counting down until the end of the “Turbo” mode. KEY FOB SIGNAL: Three double signals Turning on the sensors: After the LED starts flashing, the system will start monitoring the status of the doors, hood, trunk, brake pedal. In the case of using the cabin light delay accounting, the SCHER-KHAN MAGICAR 12 door triggers will be armed after the set time has elapsed (programmable function 2-2, see page 86). The shock sensor and the additional sensor will turn on after 30 seconds. after stopping the engine. Note: If you heard three additional siren sounds* while arming, the alarm flashed three times*, and the display for 5 seconds. the open door icon flashes, this means that the car door is open. If you hear four additional siren sounds*, the alarm will flash four times* and the display will display for 5 seconds. If the trunk image flashes, it means that the trunk is open in the car. In this case, the system will arm and bypass the activated sensor. Disabled sensors will be immediately armed when their functionality is restored. Signals about bypassing the door sensors will not follow if the 2-2 function is activated, but if the door is open at this moment, then within 5 seconds. the open door symbol will flash on the display. * The presence of siren signals is determined by the value of the programmable function 1-3 (see page 77) and the combination of buttons I + II (see "Mute the siren signals" on page 38), and the presence of alarm signals is determined by the value of the programmable function 2-1 (see page 86). To turn off the Turbo mode in an emergency, press the keyfob button II for 2 seconds. When Turbo mode is turned off in an emergency: BELL: Two beeps* ALARM: Shut down LED: According to system status Vehicle headlights and lock symbol flash five times, stop flashing DISPLAY: Turbo mode symbol, smoke symbol disappears, the Turbo mode countdown will end KEYFOB SIGNAL: One double beep 47 48 OPERATING MANUAL Note: Turbo mode will end immediately when the alarm mode is activated, the parking brake is released, the hood is opened, or the brake pedal is pressed. ADDITIONAL CHANNEL #6 CONTROL [BUTTON (III)-] Additional channel #6 is implemented as a built-in relay. This allows the channel to be used for direct trunk lock control, provided Programmable Function 2-21 is set to factory default (see "Trunk Open" on page 34). The channel can also be used for remote control of power devices (load current should not exceed 10 A). In this case, the programmable function 2-21 must be in the 2nd value. Turning on the channel is accompanied by turning off the shock sensor and the additional sensor for the entire time the channel is active. The channel active time is determined by programmable function 2-13. Auxiliary channel activation: SIREN BEEP: One beep* ALARM: Flashes once* LED: According to system status Headlights flash five times, DISPLAY: lock image flashes five times, auxiliary channel number is displayed KEY FOB ALARM: One short beep 51 52 OPERATING MANUAL * The presence of siren signals is determined by the value of the programmable function 1-3 (see page 77) and the combination of buttons I + II (see "Disabling the siren signals" on page 38), and the presence of alarm signals is determined by the value of the programmable function 2-1 (see page 86). The implementation of additional channel No. 6 in the form of a built-in relay allows you to use it also to simulate pressing the brake pedal when the starter is turned on during automatic engine start. Such a need may arise on some car models when implementing automatic engine start. The use of a channel in this capacity is possible by setting programmable function 2-21 to 3 value. The operation of additional channel No. 6 can also be determined by the CAN module built into the system. In this case, its purpose depends on the program selected in the CAN module. The ability to control additional channel No. 6 exclusively using the CAN module provides setting the programmable function 3-7 to an optional value (see page 90). REMOTE ENGINE START [BUTTON (II)-] WARNING! Note: The operation of the engine in the remote start mode in armed mode will immediately end when the alarm goes into alarm mode, the parking brake is released, the hood, trunk, doors are opened, and the brake pedal is pressed. One minute before the end of the engine operation time in automatic mode, the key fob will give two short beeps. RESERVE MODE OF AUTOMATIC ENGINE START FOR MANUAL TRANSMISSION The backup mode is used only for a manual transmission and excludes the possibility of automatic engine start if the gear lever is not in the neutral position. The symbol (continuous glow) on the keyfob-communicator display means that the reservation has been made and automatic engine start is possible. Programmable function 1-12 (see page 81) allows you to select one of four redundancy algorithms. Algorithm 1 (value 1 of programmable function 1-12): 1. At the end of the trip, without turning off the engine, set the gear lever to neutral position. 2. Apply the parking brake. Take your foot off the brake pedal. 3. Turn the key in the ignition switch from the ON position to the OFF position and remove the key from the ignition switch. The system will intercept the ignition provided that the doors are closed. The engine will continue to run for 2 minutes. 4. Within 2 min. open the door and get out of the car. 55 56 OPERATOR'S MANUAL 5. Close the door. The engine will stop (see "Note" below) unless "Turbo" mode is enabled (Function 2-28 in optional value, see page 89). Algorithm 2 (value 2 of programmable function 1-12): 1. At the end of the trip, without turning off the engine, set the gear lever to neutral position. 2. Apply the parking brake. Take your foot off the brake pedal. 3. The engine will stop (see "Note" below) unless "Turbo" mode is enabled (Function 2-28 in optional value, see page 89). SCHER-KHAN MAGICAR 12 Note: Depending on the state of the programmable function 1-13 (see page 81), the backup algorithm must be completed by: 2-minute backup mode interval. closing the door with the trunk closed, followed by automatic arming (1-13 in the value 2). Engine standby operation will immediately end when the parking brake is released, the hood is opened, and the brake pedal is depressed. Opening the door, hood, trunk, turning off the parking brake, depressing the brake pedal after making the reservation will make it impossible to automatically start the engine. ATTENTION! Close the sunroof and windows before leaving the vehicle. Leave the gear lever always in the neutral position. Do not leave people or animals in the vehicle when the reservation mode is being executed. Do not start the engine automatically if there are people or animals in the car. Do not use automatic engine start in open top vehicles. If the operation of the redundancy mode differs from the described algorithms, immediately contact a service station for advice. Until the cause is removed incorrect operation do not use automatic engine start. DIAGNOSTICS OF THE REASONS FOR FAIL AUTOMATIC ENGINE START If automatic engine start is not possible, then when button II of the keyfob is pressed for 2 seconds, the keyfob-communicator will give a triple beep, and the display will show information about the reason that caused the failure to perform automatic engine start, indicating the error code. The siren will give three short beeps, the alarm will flash three times and after a three-second pause, the number of flashes will indicate the reason preventing the start. 57 58 OPERATING MANUAL So, for example, if automatic engine start is not possible due to an open door, the following information will appear on the key fob-communicator display: Reasons preventing starting: Cause Error code Alarm signal Engine running Ignition on Door open Hood or trunk open Not done start reservation for manual transmission Parking brake applied Brake pedal applied No tachometer value programmed 01 02 03 04 05 Flash once Flash twice Flash three times Flash four times Flash five times 06 07 08 Flash six times Flash seven times Flash eight times INSTALLATION TIMER FOR AUTOMATIC ENGINE START [BUTTONS (II + IV)] Use a short press of the buttons (II + IV) of the remote control to turn the engine start on or off by timer. The indication of the inclusion of starting the engine by timer is the presence of a mark on the key fob display. SCHER-KHAN MAGICAR 12 The system provides four modes of starting the engine by timer. The first mode allows you to start the engine every day at a predetermined time, the second mode allows you to start the engine periodically every 8 hours, the third - every 4 hours, the fourth - every 2 hours to warm up (or cool down the interior in regions with a hot climate). The two modes cannot be used at the same time. The mode you need can be selected using programmable function 1-10 (see page 80). To automatically start the engine according to a timer at a certain time (24 hours), you must set the desired start time using the communicator key fob: 1. Briefly press the buttons (II + IV) and turn off the label if the mode was previously activated 2. Select the start time (to set the required time to start the engine by timer, follow the procedure described in paragraph "Setting the key fob-communicator" on page 15 of this manual) 3. Briefly press the buttons (II + IV) and turn on the label To enable automatic start of the engine by timer every 8, 4 or 2 hours, setting the exact start time is not required, a short press of the buttons (II + IV) of the key fob is enough. The first start of the engine will occur after switching on the mode after 8, 4 or 2 hours, respectively. When timed engine start is enabled: SIREN BEEP: One beep* ALARM: Flashes once LED: According to system status alarm When timed engine start is turned off: SIREN BEEP: Two beeps* ALARM: Flashes twice LED: According to system status Vehicle lights and lock symbol DISPLAY: Flashes five times, timer symbol disappears KEY FOB ALARM: Two beeps * Alarms present siren is determined by the value of the programmable function 1-3 (see page 77) and the combination of buttons I + II (see "Silence of siren signals" on page 38). ATTENTION! Starting the engine by timer is possible only in armed mode. Setting the exact value of the current time is a prerequisite for the correct operation of the automatic engine start according to the 24-hour timer. Engine start time according to the "24 hours" timer can be shifted up to ± 2 min. per day. ENGINE START BY SIGNAL OF AN EXTERNAL DEVICE To improve the convenience of using the automatic engine start function, the system has an external engine start connector. This connector allows you to connect external GSM devices, additional temperature sensors with a large number of threshold values, etc. The engine starts when a signal is received at the external start input, only when the system is armed and automatic start is enabled. If the engine is already running in any automatic mode, then the appearance of a signal at the external start input of SCHER-KHAN MAGICAR 12 turns off the engine (automatic mode ends). This feature must be taken into account if several control sources for automatic engine start are used. LIMITING THE NUMBER OF AUTOMATIC STARTS The system provides the ability to limit the number of consecutive automatic starts by timer. By means of the programmable function 1-11 (see page 80) it is possible to limit the automatic starts to 16th, 7th, 5th or not to limit at all. The countdown of the number of consecutive starts will start from the moment of the first automatic start of the engine by the timer. LIMITING THE NUMBER OF TIMER STARTS BY TEMPERATURE AND BATTERY VOLTAGE When starting the engine by timer, the temperature in the passenger compartment can be taken into account. To do this, set programmable function 1-15 (see page 83) to any suitable value: 2 (-15°C), 3 (-25°C), 4 (60°C). When the temperature threshold is reached by the time interval defined by programmable function 1-10 (see page 80) has elapsed, the engine will automatically start. The indication of the inclusion of the temperature control mode during timed starts is the display of a symbol on the key fob display. Similarly, setting programmable function 1-14 (see page 82) to 2 will control the on-board voltage. If the battery draws below 11.5 V by the time interval defined by the programmable function 1-10 (see page 80) has expired, the engine will automatically start. The indication of the activation of the voltage control mode during timer starts is the display of a symbol on the key fob display. DISARMING THE SYSTEM WITHOUT A KEY FOB AND APPLYING A PERSONAL CODE Access to a car without a key fob may be required in a number of cases. For example, if the key fob is lost or if the battery in the key fob is dead. The SCHER-KHAN MAGICAR 12 system provides such an opportunity. Access to the car without a key fob, without entering a personal code 61 62 OPERATOR'S MANUAL code is possible only if the programmable function 1-8 (see page 79) is in the factory setting. To do this: 1. Open the car door with the key. The system will go into alarm mode. 2. Turn on the ignition. The engine does not need to be started. 3. Press the button on the call sensor body (VALET) for 2 seconds. The alarm will flash once. The alarm mode will stop. 4. Within 5 sec. briefly press the VALET button. The siren will sound twice*.
