Peugeot Expert and Citroen Jumpy: we found out Russian prices. Van test: what the French can teach the Germans (and vice versa) What is better than Peugeot expert Citroen Jumpy

Vans Peugeot Expert And Citroen Jumpy in the hierarchy of the PSA concern they stand between the Partner/Berlingo “heels” and the large Boxer/Jumper vans. They can rightfully be considered long-lived: their premiere took place exactly ten years ago, in 2006. But now they have been replaced by new models. And if previously these cars were created jointly with the Fiat concern (the Italian version was called Fiat Scudo), then now partners with Toyota.

Cooperation between PSA and Toyota began more than ten years ago, first in the field of passenger cars. And two years ago in Europe they started selling Toyota ProAce minibuses and vans, which differed from Citroen models Jumpy/Peugeot Expert/Fiat Scudo only with different emblems and radiator grille. Now the Japanese fully participated in the development of the new family, taking the place of the Fiat concern. And cleanly passenger versions We had our premiere back in early March at the Geneva Motor Show, and now it’s time for “working” modifications.

External differences Peugeot models Expert, Citroen Jumpy and Toyota ProAce of new generations, as before, come down to different front design, but, in essence, they are the same car. The new generation is based on the EMP2 modular platform, common to many PSA cars, but until now the largest model on this “trolley” has been the Citroen Grand C4 Picasso compact van. The flexible platform made it possible to vary not only the length of the rear overhang, but also the size of the wheelbase: to the usual options with a length of 4.95 and 5.3 m, a short-wheelbase modification with a length of only 4.6 m was added.

Short wheelbase Toyota ProAce

The load capacity of all versions is the same: 1400 kg. The most compact van has a cargo compartment volume of 5.1 m 3 and its length is 2.06 m. The largest version boasts a hold length of 2.76 m, and its volume is 6.6 m 3, only 1.4 m 3 less than the smallest Boxer van. The height is the same for all versions and is 1.9 m. At the same time, for transporting long items, you can order a folding passenger seat and a hatch in the partition behind the cabin. In this case, the length cargo platform along the starboard side will increase by another 1.26 meters.

In the “working” range there are also passenger versions for eight or nine seats, but they are equipped and decorated more simply than the cars presented in Geneva: the difference is about the same as that of the Transporter and Caravelle models in the Volkswagen T6 family. You can also order a “combi” option - with two rows of seats and a cargo compartment. A chassis with a cab is also expected in the line - for installing special add-ons.

The range of engines includes turbodiesels with a volume of 1.6 (95 or 115 hp) and 2.0 liters (120, 150 or 180 hp). All of them meet Euro-6 economic standards, and the declared average consumption fuel - from 5.1 to 6.1 l/100 km. The lowest-power version is equipped with a five-speed manual transmission or a simple ETG6 “robot” with one clutch. Options from 115 to 150 hp. have a six-speed manual transmission, and the 180-horsepower top version only comes with a six-speed Aisin automatic transmission.

According to modern trends, Expert, Jumpy and ProAce of the new generation are stuffed with a variety of safety and comfort systems. There is an auto-braking system at speeds up to 30 km/h, indicators for vehicles in blind spots built into the rear-view mirrors, and a rear-view camera with a display on the front panel. And the hands free function is now available not only for mobile phone, but also for... sliding doors! In the rapids below them and in rear overhang sensors are built in, and if you have a transponder key in your pocket, you can simply move your foot under the bottom and the door will open electrically. Convenient when loading heavy items!

On European market sales of new products will begin immediately after the official premiere at the commercial vehicle exhibition in Birmingham (it opens at the end of April). There is no information on deliveries to our country yet, but Peugeot Expert and Citroen Jumpy will most likely still enter our market. There is even a chance that their assembly will be arranged at Kaluga plant PCMA ( Peugeot Citroen Mitsubishi Automotive), although, as far as we know, no decision has been made yet.

As for Fiat, in Birmingham it will also show the new “junior” van Talento, which is a variation Renault models Trafic of the current generation.

We have repeatedly talked about the sweet couple of new French vans Peugeot Expert and Citroen Jumpy. They have been sold in Europe since last summer, and Expert and Jumpy should appear in our country in July of this year. Even in winter they were equipped for Russia, as well as modifications for our conditions. And now we have been informed Russian prices on Expert and Jumpy.

Compared with European version(on the picture), ground clearance"Russian" Expert/Jumpy grew to 17.5 cm

It is expected that the first to enter the market will be cargo vans: “luxury” Peugeot Traveler and Citroen Space Tourer will appear later, and entry into the Russian market of passenger variants Expert and Jumpy is still in doubt. There is also no clarity regarding production in Kaluga - at least while new vans will be supplied from France.

Cruise control with speed limiter is standard on all versions

But there is no more uncertainty with prices. Moreover, the price now does not depend on the brand: Expert and Jumpy in their respective configurations cost the same. Cheapest short van gross weight 2490 kg (so that there are no problems with the cargo frame in the capital) with a body volume of 4.6 m 3, a 1.6 diesel engine with a power of 90 hp. and a five-speed manual transmission is estimated at 1 million 300 thousand rubles. For a similar vehicle with a gross weight of 3.1 tons (load capacity 1035 kg) they are asking one hundred thousand more. And for the most expensive Expert/Jumpy with a body volume of 6.1 m 3, two-liter diesel 150 hp and “automatically” Aisin will have to pay 1 million 725 thousand rubles. Is it a lot or a little? How to look.

For the beautiful alloy wheels Russian buyers of Expert/Jumpy will have to pay 48 thousand rubles

For example, prices for freight Ford Transit Custom with a body volume of 5.95 m 3 and a 100-horsepower engine starts at 1 million 750 thousand rubles. Volkswagen Transporter with 5.8 cubic meters of space in the body and a 102 hp diesel engine. and even more expensive: at least 1 million 830 thousand. In this situation, the Expert/Jumpy pair should become Russian buyers a very attractive offer.

Replacing electrical fuses
The three fuse boxes are located:
in the instrument panel with right side(behind the sliding glove box);
in the cabin (in the compartment battery);
in the engine compartment.
If your vehicle is equipped with an additional fuse box, it is installed to protect electrical circuits trailer, as well as for connecting electrical wiring harnesses on models with a modified body and platforms with a cab. The block is located on the right side, behind the cargo partition. Shown here are only those fuses that the owner can replace himself, using special tweezers and a set of spare fuses located behind the glove box. In all other cases, you must contact your service network.
Removing and installing the fuse
Before replacing a blown fuse, it is necessary to find out and eliminate the cause of the malfunction.
Use tweezers to remove fuses. Always replace burnt out electrical fuse new ones of the same denomination. The company is not responsible for malfunctions of your car caused by the installation of additional electrical equipment that is not recommended for use by the company and installed in violation of the instructions - this especially applies to additional electrical equipment that consumes a total current of more than 10 mA.

“Are you carrying air back and forth?” — the Belarusian customs officer looked at the empty Citroen body Jumpy. Indeed, it wouldn’t hurt to load it up - the vans drive a little harsh when empty. And before you enter Vilnius, add front parking sensors and a rear view camera to the equipment. Then it would be easier to turn around in narrow streets and squeeze into medieval arches.

The new Citroen Jumpy and Peugeot Expert are located exactly between heels and large vans. These are perhaps the most stylish “businessmen” in Russia. However, this is exactly what is expected from the French: concave sidewalls, wide wheel arches and complex optics. In fact, the vans differ in nameplates and front design - the Expert has its own radiator grille, headlights and upper part of the bumper with “horns”.

Technically, the cars are completely identical - the same engines, the same options. And the same modular platform EMP2, on which all new passenger cars of segments C and D are built under the nameplates of Peugeot, Citroen and... Opel. Minivans are built on the same base Citroen SpaceTourer and Peugeot Traveller. French vans will also have a relative from Japan - Toyota ProAce.

The interior of the vans is unified, and the main difference here is the nameplates on the steering wheel. The plastic is hard everywhere, as befits a commercial vehicle, but the designers played with it with color and texture, as well as the shape of parts. What, for example, are the faceted dials worth?

The front panel is located a little high, which is why visibility suffers a little. In addition, the filing cabinet and cup holders require reaching. A couple more cup holders would be nice convenient places, but niches and pockets various shapes and there are plenty of sizes - only there are three of them on each door. The open glove compartment on the front panel is designed for smartphones, and there is a power outlet and an audio jack inside.

Usually french cars They throw in ergonomic surprises like the handbrake on the left, but here everything is quite standard. With the exception of the selector washer for the 6-speed automatic transmission. It may seem unusual at first glance, but there are four standard transmission modes. Plus a separate button for manual switching transmission Surprisingly, the commercial van has paddle shifters just like a sports car.

However, it copes with gear shifting without outside help and works smoothly with a two-liter turbodiesel engine with a power of 150 Horse power. The hydromechanical "automatic" Aisin is familiar from passenger models P.S.A. For Moscow traffic jams, such a transmission would be useful, although it is more than 100 thousand rubles more expensive than a 6-speed manual. Another engine option for the new vans is a 90-horsepower turbodiesel with a 5-speed manual transmission. There will be no twitchy European “robot” in Russia.

Both vans handle like a car. Fuel consumption also turned out to be quite easy - around 7-8 liters. The driver's seat with lumbar adjustment and an armrest is well profiled, so your back doesn't get tired of it. However, traveling with three people in the cabin over long distances is cramped. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to order a soundproofing partition for the cabin - the body resonates noticeably.

Style and charm do not at all interfere with vans fulfilling their intended purpose: to carry cargo. Jumpy and Expert are available in three body styles: 4.6, 5.3 and 6.1 cubic meters. The Euro pallet enters the body transversely, and through the sliding side door - the narrow part. Special system Moduwork with a lifting passenger seat and a hatch into the cabin will allow you to load four-meter long items.

Citroen Jumpy L2H1 2.0 HDI AT6

Peugeot Expert L3H1 2.0 HDI AT6

Price: from 1,299,900 rub. On sale: July 2017

The first generation French Peugeot Expert and Citroen Jumpy vans appeared in 1995. Then the triple alliance looked different: PSA Groupe collaborated with Fiat Auto, which produced the Fiat Scudo van. This interaction continued until 2012, when PSA Groupe became a priority partner (until 2020). Toyota Motor Europe, which offered European traders Toyota Proace, similar to the “sweet French couple”.

The cabin features well-thought-out ergonomics

The current generation of fraternal LCVs is based on single platform EMP2. New option modular platform allowed to reduce the weight of the car by 100–150 kg (depending on the version) compared to previous generation and use economical diesels. The EMP2 also compares favorably in terms of the ratio of wheelbase to usable volume. Passenger and commercial vehicles are released under original names. Models “for people” are called Peugeot Traveler and Citroen SpaceTourer. And the trucks, respectively, are Peugeot Expert and Citroen Jumpy. It was they who became the subject of close study during the thousand-kilometer march from Moscow to Vilnius. Of course, appearance is not the most important thing for delivery vans, but nevertheless it is worth noting that both vehicles were designed in the spirit of the times. Moreover, everyone has their own unique style. Citroën has a calmer, friendlier design. And in the appearance of Peugeot a bit of aggression can be traced. Both cars are in version for commercial use different black plastic bumpers and side moldings. The similar cabins of the two vans had a personal “gentleman’s” set of options.

“Jumpy” turned out to be a simpler version, but even it pleased us with the presence of climate control, electric windows, electric mirrors, cruise control... And automatic transmission. However, the “racing” paddle shifters for manual shifting were perceived as absurd in it. In the driver's seat, it was quickly possible to achieve the desired position. There are more than enough adjustments. In addition, the chair itself turned out to be comfortable, which cannot be said about the non-adjustable two-seater sofa for passengers, which has a seat that is too short. Instead of an uncomfortable “banquette”, the “Expert” had a completely comfortable passenger seat. Monotonous uniformity dashboard here the presence of an audio system brightened up, which is not superfluous in long journey, and in city traffic jams. Otherwise positive and negative qualities the machines are absolutely comparable. But in any case, here and there it is worth noting well-thought-out ergonomics, tangible space, a sense of security... The high and comfortable seating position provides good visibility, which cannot be said about the “low-blind” exterior mirrors with a dead zone. The convenient location of the dashboard allows you to control the car almost intuitively, without being distracted from the road. The seat upholstery is made of high-strength material, which guarantees practicality and durability. The driver may potentially have a system at his disposal dynamic stabilization, rain and light sensor, blind spot indicator, parking sensors and rear view camera, cruise control with speed limiter, preheater With remote control And so on. Of course, not everything is included basic equipment, but all options are available to order.

Cruise control makes life much easier when driving along the highway. And the presence of steering wheel gear shift paddles is questionable

The Jumpy's cargo compartment had no floor covering and was partially lined with plywood panels. It had one side sliding door and a double hinged door at the rear, with an opening angle of 180°. The driver's cabin was separated from the cargo compartment by a blank steel partition. The Expert's floored cargo compartment was lined with composite panels, had two sliding side doors and a rear door with an opening angle of 250°. The driver's cabin was separated from the cargo compartment not by a blank steel partition, but by a tubular frame. Of course, while driving high speed In Peugeot, at least cover your ears. The Citroen with a partition is a little better, but it’s also not a fountain. However, what do you want from utilitarian all-metal vans?

A diesel engine combined with an automatic transmission is just a fairy tale

Both cars - Jumpy L2H1 and Expert L3H1 - were equipped diesel engine 2.0 HDi with 150 hp. With. and a 6-speed automatic transmission. This tandem pleases with ease of control and gives the car remarkable throttle response and modest fuel appetite. The cruise control deserves praise, allowing you to drive smoothly on the highway. manual mode. The maneuverability of the cars is beyond praise. But this is one of the most important professional qualities of a van.

Both companies will offer Russian market practically the same set of equipment, but adjusted for operational specifics. Thus, Citroen will primarily be addressed to individuals, while Peugeot will be focused on business. LCVs of both brands will have two wheelbases(2925 and 3275 mm) and three lengths (4606, 4956 and 5308 mm). In accordance with this, the range of the body in terms of useful volume will be from 4.6 to 6.6 m3. And the length of the cargo compartment is from 2162 to 4024 mm. Depending on the version, the cargo compartment can accommodate 2 or 3 Euro pallets. Payload it can reach 1218 kg. The maximum possible design for total weight corresponds to 3100 kg. However, to circumvent restrictions within the Third Transport Ring of Moscow, options with a gross weight not exceeding 2500 kg will be provided on the Russian market. The cars are fully adapted for Russia and meet the most diverse needs of customers depending on their field of activity. The price starts from 1,299,900 rubles. Judging by the results of our acquaintance, the prospects for the “French” are good.

Depending on the configuration, rear doors can open to an angle of 180 or 250 degrees. There can be two sliding side doors
