Weaknesses of the Hyundai Santa Fe 3. Third generation Hyundai Santa Fe. Best bang for your buck

During the time I owned this car, the car was serviced more than it was driven...

3 transfer cases were replaced under warranty (mileage 15000km-29000km-38000km), rear clutch 2 times at 32,000 km and now again at 40,500 km, the first time the automatic transmission was repaired at 30,000 km - the second time to replace the automatic transmission completely at 38,000 km, since the right front ball joint, differential, steering wheel upholstery, etc. were not subject to repair. p... what they didn’t do and are not yet recognized by the Hyundai service workers - the steering rack, the left ball joint (they didn’t recognize the right one until the wheel practically began to fall off)

I personally have terrible oil consumption... 3-4 liters per 15,000 km. service interval... I talked with other owners of the regular SANTA FE, the oil is also added at least 2-3 liters... and all the breakdowns with all-wheel drive also went away... these all-wheel drive problems are common to all 100% SANTA FE and kia sorento? as well as the younger brothers IX35, etc. many drivers drive and do not suspect that all-wheel drive has been gone for a long time...

It’s a pity for those who buy these used cars and then end up with huge sums of money!!! I was very surprised that almost all owners sell their GRAND Santa Fe after 2-3 years of ownership, realizing that owning it after warranty is just a waste of money.

The car did not live up to expectations! originally cost 1,970,000 rubles but the quality and reliability are poor. The car has a beautiful interior. The design is also beautiful, but these are all little things, more on everything later.

ADVANTAGES:

  • Beautiful design.
  • Beautiful salon and a good audio system
  • Large trunk and a lot of nice little things!!
  • Consumption on the highway is 10l and in the city 19l, the dynamics are normal!!! But there are still more minuses than pluses!

FLAWS:

  • After a run of 25,500 km, welded points on the body began to come off, after 10,578 km the roof began to rattle and vibrate, high price spare parts and by the 30,000 km mileage the automatic transmission began to work worse (stronger jerks), the air conditioner noticeably slows down the car. In the 2nd generation Santa Fe, such nuances were not observed, although there were also plenty of disadvantages, especially in the chassis.

When I bought a car for almost 2 million I was hoping for better quality and reliability!!!

I bought a car in February 2013 at the East Market Motors St. Petersburg showroom for 1,420,000. For my money, the car has almost no analogues, the choice was conscious, before that I changed 8 cars from the brand to the new Rav4.

In my review I won’t talk about little things, I’ll write about a really scary situation that will make you think twice about choosing this car.

On June 16, returning from the dacha, I felt a growing smell of diesel fuel in the cabin. I stopped and opened the hood... blah... everything was doused with fuel. The car's mileage at this time was 6,000 km. I called a tow truck and they dragged me to the station. The next day the master calls and says in a joyful voice - come and pick it up. Arriving at IST Market Motors, I saw my car with a clean engine. When asked what happened and what they did, the foreman said: yes, the return line of the fuel line came apart, we fastened it back together (who knows, this line has a joint that actually came apart). There was an awkward pause. I asked “and... I should continue to ride on the same thing.” The master lowered his eyes to the floor and said... well, I can’t do anything, you... this... look under the hood more often. I was shocked. When I picked up the car, the manager Alexey, who sold me the car, drew attention to me. Having learned about what had happened, Lesha said - it’s nonsense, they say the diesel doesn’t burn...

I won’t bore your attention with the details, but it’s worth thinking about choosing a car with a leaking fuel line, and about the interior that lets its client out in a killer car.

I took a photo. There you can clearly see the disconnected fuel return hose. The whole nightmare is that the car drove without any problems, because the line is reverse, that is, through it the excess fuel is returned to the tank... I don’t know what would have happened if it weren’t for the smell, or if there was gasoline... .

Now I have written a letter to the salon and Hyundai. We'll wait for a reaction.

Advantages:

Flaws:

  • Quality and service
  • After 6,000 km, a disgusting bald spot formed on the steering wheel.
  • I have already visited the service for additional equipment 3 times
  • The turbo timer that was installed in the cabin turned out to be defective. The car stood for 10 hours in the city center with the engine running

Would be domestic car, I would have watched it closely, but I didn’t believe that Hyundai could produce a car with a leaking fuel line...

Hyundai car Grand Santa Fe crossover - Grand Santa Fe does not fully correspond to the stated price

Advantages:

  • Large salon
  • comfort

Flaws:

  • Discrepancy between price and quality.
  • After a couple of years of use, it is advisable to “get rid” of the car in order to avoid unnecessary expenses.

I bought a Grand Santa Fe (diesel) in April 2014. Now the mileage is 175,000. Last month I had to have the engine repaired (replacing the cylinder head). By the way, a friend bought a used regular Santa Fe, also a diesel. The mileage was 92,000. I drove five thousand kilometers and the same problem arose with the engine. But his repairs were carried out under warranty. Coincidence or not, two engines with the same problem seems suspicious to me...

After more than three years of using the “crickets”, a whole family lives in the cabin.

Yesterday I began to feel some strange tremors on my rear wheels when turning. I’ll go to the service center to be “pleased” with a new surprise.

Before that I had a wad 406. In 10 years I drove more than 600,000. As they say, “I didn’t know grief.” But, he began to slowly “crumble”. I had to change my car. Unfortunately, the choice of Gran Santa Fe was not the best. I will sell and buy a new car. But this will definitely not be a Hyundai!

I purchased a car on November 9, 2012 at a car dealership on Dmitrovskoye Highway in Moscow (Avtomir AMKapital LLC). Overall I really liked the car!!! On March 4, 2014 at 15:36 a car parked in the yard caught fire. And within 12 minutes it burned completely. The Ministry of Emergency Situations conducted a fire-technical examination and found out that it was spontaneous combustion of the car Hyundai Santa Fe. More precisely

Russian Emergency Situations Ministry

Federal State "Forensic Expert Center of the Federal Fire Service for the city of Moscow) Federal State Budgetary Institution SEC FPS for the city of Moscow)

Expert conclusion:

  • the fire is located in engine compartment Hyundai Santa FE car. It is not possible to more accurately determine the source of the fire (the place of initial combustion) based on the submitted inspection materials.
  • the cause of the fire, in in this case, could have been ignited by flammable materials located in the area of the identified fire source, from the thermal effect of an emergency fire hazardous operating mode in the vehicle's electrical system.

AMKapital LLC has currently taken the car to conduct its examination!!

But here it is already clear that we will have to sue!!!

So, before you buy this car, read it - it’s described in more detail here

A creaking sound appeared in the torpedo. From the very beginning to this day, it climbs leather seat and steering wheel. I didn’t go to the dealer, for me it’s a small thing. After a year of operation, when pressing the brake, a click appeared in the area of the gearbox. And another click when you release the pedal. The dealer was frozen, because on ride quality it has no effect. Sometimes the rear view camera glitches (noise, like on the Elektron TV). I told them to take a look, but the law of meanness - everything works!

The multimedia system of the Hyundai Santa Fe 2.4 also does not always work smoothly. You turn it on and there’s a corporate logo on the screen and that’s it, you have to reboot it several times. It’s very annoying when you want to leave the parking lot in the morning using a camera, but it’s not available. Rear doors stick out in relation to rear wings. It looks like the car was after an accident. At the MOT they said that this is such a design. There were also these “Santas” in the cabin, but the neighbor in the parking lot did not have this “defect.” This does not affect the tightness, the cabin is quiet, but touches the soul.

A couple of months ago it started having trouble starting; the starter didn’t want to turn on the first time. This happens a couple of times a week. And the worst thing is that signs of corrosion have appeared in the form of swelling on the front fender and above the front fender. With all these jambs, I’ll go to the dealer, then I’ll write back. There is hope for eliminating breakdowns, because Santa Fe 2 reviews indicate positive results.

They warned me that this was not an SUV. But no, I was carried home from the dacha after two days of rain and I sat down on my belly on a rut. No amount of fidgeting back and forth with connecting the “type” of all-wheel drive helped. The result is a dirty interior, wasted nerves and being towed by the LAWN to the asphalt.

In general, the car is not bad, but all sorts of little things spoil the existing opinion about it. However, this is the last “Korean” in my life. Therefore I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Neutral reviews

Complete set:

  • 12 airbags
  • 2-zone climate
  • cd-mp3 for 6 discs
  • bright skin
  • panoramic sunroof
  • refrigerator compartment under the armrest
  • power mirrors and seats
  • light-rain sensor
  • cruise control and multimedia leather steering wheel
  • cool instrument lighting
  • attractive eyelash dimensions
  • rear parking sensors, etc.

Advantages of the model:

  • Very spacious car
  • almost silent engine operation
  • excellent climate control performance
  • spacious trunk (you could stuff an elephant)
  • Huge hidden storage space under the trunk
  • the most cost-effective model in its class.

Disadvantages of the model:

  • acceleration dynamics (not a fountain) about 11 seconds. up to a hundred
  • rare 4-speed automatic transmission stalls in all ranges
  • slightly stiffer suspension (only GAZ-69 is stiffer)
  • no xenon even additional option(Why?)
  • Infinity radio did not exceed my expectations
  • it doesn’t consume fuel, but consumes 13.9 liters per hundred without climate control - this, in my opinion, is gluttony for 2.7
  • At first, the bugs were not heard, but gradually they began to appear, especially in the luggage compartment.

Conclusions:

Of course, the results of South Korean auto manufacturers are obvious, but as always, they lack something. Either the engines are weak, or the plastic is noisy, or the suspension is like on crutches, or they just can’t decide on the face. Specifically regarding Santa, I can say the following, they have a version 3. 3 American, they say it’s very fast, and there is also a Veracruz model (ix55) for Europe that is twice as powerful as the Santa 3. 8 engine, but is on a strict diet of 12 liters per hundred. formula AI-95. Of course, it costs more, depending on who you are. Although the Veracruz is considered a higher class (Lexus RX-350), outwardly, (it seems to me) Santa does his best!

Advice. Take it, but keep in mind that this is not a Lexus or an Infiniti, but just a successful Hyundai. In other words, it's worth the money, that's a fact!

My opinion is that Santa is a big toy for adults, which is always missing something. Charge it with a Veracruz engine and suspension and everything will fall into place. In principle, it’s nothing, there’s just something to compare it with. It's not a Lexus, but it's worth the money.

If I sell, I'll buy myself a Veracruz. These Koreans have become really good at making cars.

HI ALL! I have owned the car since 2013. The equipment at that time was called “Sport”, now there is no such thing, then there was a gap between complete and incomplete “minced meat”. I went everywhere, to the sea, to the Urals, for my insignificant mileage of 57,000 km. nothing serious happened. Diesel froze twice, in the Urals the temperature dropped sharply in October, and summer diesel in Moscow New Year more than minus 32. Now I use additives if the forecast promises severe frost.

Breakdowns:

  • The headlight washer froze in the cold, I pushed it in by hand and apparently broke it, it was replaced under warranty, the warranty is valid for up to 3 years.
  • left stabilizer link at 55,000 km. (they said it was a factory defect, it lasts more than 100 thousand km), the official dealer has a replacement for 5 thousand rubles. , they said the warranty was 4 years, I didn’t have time.

there was nothing else, I tested the four-wheel drive on a field in the snow, it was fine. Kia Sorento in principle, an analogue for Santa Fe, all the parts are identical, a friend drove 120 thousand km without problems, he only changed the bearings. If someone wants to buy a used version, I think it’s a good idea, the chassis hardware is inexpensive to replace.

Large outside and inside the car. It has a “conditional” all-wheel drive, which turns off automatically when the speed reaches 40 km/h, but it is necessary to knead the snow when parking in yards. The ground clearance is small and allows you to climb onto the curb, but you need to get off it carefully!

My opinion is that not a single car in the world is worth the money they ask for it, including this one! The cars have lost their individuality, are made like carbon copies and, in principle, have the same set of qualities and problems. But demand creates supply and another “masterpiece” comes off the assembly line! Price of this car lower than competitors, Germans or Japanese, but it seems to me still great (especially the current price tag) :(

ADVANTAGES:

  • Large trunk/lounge volume.
  • The presence of “conditional” all-wheel drive sometimes helps.
  • Availability of 2-zone climate, good suspension.
  • Comfortable interior, although the quality of materials could be better.
  • The general warranty is 3 years, if the car is imported, then plus another 2 years for the engine and gearbox, and that’s it!

The logic of the head light’s operation is not clear - if the engine is running, then the LED backlight is working, to turn it off you need to turn on the low beam, i.e. in any case you will be “marked”, perhaps even when you don’t want it! There are no standard acoustics (replaced with JBL). I replaced the head unit with INCAR on Android, Yandex, Navitel navigation and a rear view camera (the original GU costs a lot of money!). At 33,000 km I had to change the power steering assembly under warranty (a feeling of “biting”) in the assembly (this is their proprietary disease; many KIAs have the same power steering, respectively). 38,000 km replacement of one tip and one LED backlight in the fog lamp under warranty. Branded "sore" at the junction windshield and the roofs show “saffron milk caps” (especially noticeable on white cars), this is treated with a guarantee if noticed in a timely manner, and otherwise, the coloring of part/entire roof is at your own expense!!! In general, the quality of the painting leaves much to be desired; there are small “jambs” even on brand new cars! At every maintenance you have to do an alignment/wheel alignment! I didn’t do this so often even in a Zhiguli!!! At speeds over 100 km/h, the car has to be “caught” on the road; the car is heavy and begins to scour the road at speed. A more adequate interaction between the automatic transmission and the engine was cured with CHIP tuning. Consumption is about 13l/100km in the city, on the highway about 7-9l. The fuel tank volume is small. Weak body rigidity, we roll over the speed bump and hear the characteristic creaking of the door panels, and when the wheels are hanging on one side, do not try to open/close the fifth door - you will be very disappointed by the obvious distortion! . At 47 thousand. The right ice light died, the warranty has already expired, so: 3.5 thousand repairs, 44 thousand. - another steering tip died!

There is no general warranty of 5 years, maintenance after 15 thousand. km.

The overall rating, believe me, for very “gentle” operation - CREE!!!

I chose a car that had a diesel engine (2.2,150 hp) with a manual transmission (manual transmission), was large and spacious... the choice was either a slightly used Mitsubishi Pajero or a new Hyundai Santa Fe. I settled on Santa - a new model, streamlined, nice appearance, the dashboard is made to look like wood, comfortable rear seats (not like in a tag, the legs reach up to the jaw), it’s comfortable to drive long distances....

Breakdowns after 3 months:

  • I replaced the front strut at my own expense, it is not included in the warranty
  • Now we need to change all the cylindrical blocks of the front suspension, the car is 4 months old, not counting the fact that the wheels are installed square, which come with the car.

People, think for yourself, but big jeep it’s good if it’s for the city, but where there’s recreation and fishing, everything starts to break down... the car is 4 months old, and you drive on dirt roads and think that you’re sitting on a penny from the seventies, that everything rattles and knocks, and probably not in all of them ...

Advantages:

  • Design
  • relatively inexpensive if you look at competitors

Flaws:

2016 Hyundai Santa Fe.

The equipment was almost complete, the only thing missing was a sunroof and a large display (although the regular one is quite informative, and it’s convenient to use the camera when parking). The comfortable entry option works flawlessly, quickly and adequately + stylish key fob.

Diesel unit and all-wheel drive. Be prepared to warm up the car for about 20 minutes. Diesel after all. When purchasing, it is better to immediately get an autostart, and better heated engine. The latter will be extremely expensive.

At first glance, the Hyundai Santa Fe seems like an ideal car, both in price and quality.

In economy mode, the car actually consumes significantly less fuel, but this goes against the dynamics. The gas pedal begins to become harsh, sometimes the “brains” do not quite understand which gear to engage. When overtaking you have to switch to the manual mode of the automatic transmission. And by the way, the economy mode is disabled.

In Sport and Comfort mode the car behaves adequately.

What remains unclear to me is that when idling, the thermostat slowly cools down.

As for the chassis, everything is according to Korean canons. The suspension is very weak, the suspension in the pits knocks as if something is about to fall off.

Unfortunately, it was not possible to check the off-road qualities. But rest assured, it will get out of the snowdrift without any problems. In the urban cycle there is no point in turning on all-wheel drive.

Salon. Everything here is Korean, stylish and multifunctional. But the materials leave much to be desired. Still the same cheap and hard plastic. Leather steering wheel Almost worn out after only 49,000 km. It is not difficult to scratch plastic panels due to carelessness.

Official maintenance at the dealer will cost you about 20 thousand, be prepared.

And so, the price of this car at the time of purchase it was approximately 1,900,000 rubles. Few competitors can boast of such a price with such a rich package, albeit with a budget finish.

Greetings to all Hyundai Santa Fe owners, as well as potential buyers. I’ve been driving for a long time and I won’t bore you with my former brands. Choosing a car took a long time and painfully. Reviews and recommendations weighed in favor of Santa, and last year I became his owner almost fully equipped only used.

What I immediately liked about the Santa Fe was the ease of entry and electric adjustment of the driver's seat, which comfortably holds the driver on the road. The dynamics were a little disappointing. When overtaking, you drive into oncoming traffic, pedal to the floor... and nothing happens!!! While I got used to it... I found a little “cure”. You need to manipulate the “gas”: immediately after switching gears, perform a maneuver. If you drive slowly, 110 km/h, then the consumption is about 10 liters. Even when climbing a hill, the traction does not disappear.

The low lighting is noticeable. Perhaps it is not adjusted correctly - it shines like a chandelier. Turning on the fog lights saves the situation.

Advantages of Santa Fe 2.4:

  • excellent suspension, not yet broken, rolls are minimal;
  • good sound insulation;
  • comfortable seats, especially the driver's seat with electric drive (I drive far and don't get tired);
  • the rear row is adjustable in tilt and folds into a flat floor;
  • The music plays quite well;
  • acceptable consumption (9, 7 – highway, 13, 5 – city);
  • Everything fits in the trunk, there are convenient drawers in the floor;
  • climate control works great;
  • keyless entry;
  • refrigerator in the armrest.

Flaws:

  • This is not an SUV;
  • inconvenient navigator;
  • outdated interior, wooden inserts literally hurt the eyes;
  • hand brake made in the form of a “foot-mounted” one.

That's all I paid attention to this year. I met Hyundai Santa Fe 2. 4 reviews that said about the rattling back row. I didn’t notice it myself. A good car for the money. Even though I am the second owner, the car works like a clock. Before that there was a Sonata, so I had no doubt about the reliability of the Koreans.

And further. In May I went to the Caucasus. On serpentines, the automatic is a little inconvenient - it doesn’t want to engage the lower gear uphill. Enjoyed it manual mode, the same as on the mechanics, everything is familiar, but it’s better not to touch the clutch. It takes turns confidently. Of course, I didn’t drive too hard...

Positive reviews

Santa Fe is an excellent car, large and spacious, reliable and easy to maintain, with excellent off-road character. In the nine years that I have owned it, I have had no strong complaints; it worked conscientiously.

What I would like to note. The car is stable on the road in any weather, electronics directional stability works great! Good clearance, neither curbs nor snowdrifts are scary. Great engine, I have a 2.7 V6. If you drive on the highway at 110-120 km/h, then the consumption is approximately 9-9.5 liters. So I recommend it!

Advantages of the car:

  • big and spacious
  • reliable and easy to maintain
  • with excellent off-road character.

Disadvantages of the car

  • hard plastic, but this is in comparison with the Germans.

Good day everyone!

This car is not the first in our family and we got it in the late fall of 2016. “Late” means it’s already cold and there’s snow here and there. Since I repair all my cars myself in the yard or in my father-in-law’s garage (350 km from home), I decided to put everything aside until it’s warmer and ride off the winter with what I bought. The only thing was to change the engine oil with the filter of course. The chassis asked for a little intervention, but it was tolerated until warmer days.

A little bit about yourself. I am 46 years old. Since 1993, as soon as I received water. certificate and graduated from a motor transport technical school, my work experience began as a driver of cars of various brands and manufacturers. At the moment I am also using the service ones: Camry 2.5 AT 2016. V. , BMW X6 3.0 D AT 2014 V.

First impressions of Santa Fe:

  • the seating position is high, like in a Kruzak (without a step I can hardly jump up (height is 174 cm), with the seat down);
  • smooth as a ship;
  • tight steering wheel;
  • the idle speed of the brake pedal is too large;
  • I can’t hear or feel the engine;
  • The gearbox (4-speed) works very softly (pah-pah-pah), sometimes you don’t even feel the shift at all (although when you get stuck in traffic jams there are “jabs”);
  • short-travel suspension, but there is no roll in corners;
  • poor lateral support of the driver's seat;
  • very noticeable on black plastic small scratches;
  • adequately resistant to winter road when cornering (ESP works great). my brain is just resting;
  • on road junctions and stones - hard;
  • on speed bumps - soft;
  • the stove in winter gives heat within a couple of minutes, as if there was an “electric hair dryer”;
  • I really want to install a rear view camera;
  • small turning radius despite not being small external dimensions;
  • The rear seats are spacious (I can’t see my boys, 8, 5 and 10 years old, in the rearview mirror;) ;
  • at 5 local version in the trunk you can hide half of the “necessary things” that are stored on the balcony;
  • a full-fledged SUV (not an SUV for sure);
  • This car is simply a pleasure to drive.

Now about the repair:

  • During the first frosts, the A-pillars leaked. It was decided to give it away for pumping after the New Year. I already had experience of such a restoration of the rear ones on the x-trail. They did everything, they still work great, the price is 3000 rubles.
  • With the arrival of heat; - replacement of bushings front stabilizer lateral stability(80 rubles each),
  • replacement internal boot right front wheel drive(160 rubles + lubricant),
  • replacement of the left ball joint (~800 rubles),
  • It was a trip to my beloved mother-in-law (350 km), which means there will be a garage. The mileage of 120,000 km was just approaching - replacing the timing belt with rollers (~6000 rubles). Regarding the belt, don't tighten it for so long. Mine just miraculously survived. An interesting effect has occurred!!! Gasoline consumption on the highway dropped from 10 to 8 liters per 100 km. according to the on-board computer, with average speed 100 km/h. In the city, of course, everything depends on the type of driving.
  • I changed the oil in the engine again (it quickly became dark - I filled it with Lukoil Lux - the old waste was washed away, there was even a moment when the oil pressure light began to blink (at that moment I was very scared for the engine), now everything is Ok - light - will last until the cold weather. Consumption not noticed yet.
  • Did partial replacement Automatic transmission oil, I’ll definitely do it again before winter!
  • Did complete replacement fluid in the power steering, filled with Dexron 3. The steering wheel began to turn easier!
  • Light bulbs in headlights and dimensions.

That's it!!!

Last week there was a run to Kosh-Agach with a stop at the Chemal hydroelectric station. Pleasures - full of pants!!! I'm as happy with the car as an elephant!!! (T-T-T).

In the future I will add as much as possible...

In my opinion one of the most beautiful and stylish cars in your class. Quite soft suspension. Driving Santa doesn't feel like you're driving a large SUV. Spacious interior and roomy trunk. Those who say that it doesn’t drive are clearly talking about a gasoline engine. Diesel is rushing. When accelerating, you noticeably press into the seat. I accelerated to 190, then it gets boring, but the pedal is not yet up to the floor, with a reserve. Reasonable turning radius. Doors covering thresholds. What pleased me was that the heated rear seats and steering wheel are already included in the basic configuration.

I haven’t found any serious drawbacks yet, except for the noise of the wheels from the arches.

Every time I get into this car, I get the impression that I’m getting into a huge all-terrain vehicle. True, unlike an all-terrain vehicle, movement on the road goes like cheese through butter. None extraneous noise, no extraneous vibration, tapping or any other discomfort. All your movement consists only of the sound of the engine. The suspension seems to adapt itself to the road, so as not to inconvenience the driver. Rear seats They also turned out to be very comfortable for passengers, even on long trips. If you are going on a trip or fishing trip, then luggage compartment will allow you to fit everything you need. Believe me there will be enough space. Regarding rich equipment and its advanced functions, then there is nothing to write about, the quality is top level, no glitches or errors occurred. The electronics are doing their job. Even though the Santa Fe is inferior in many ways to its more prestigious counterparts, for its price and class, it is worthy of competition.

An excellent car, large and spacious, reliable and easy to maintain, with excellent off-road character. In the 9 years that I have owned it, I have had no strong complaints, it worked conscientiously. What I would like to note: it is stable on the road in any weather, the electronic stability control works perfectly! Good clearance, neither curbs nor snowdrifts are scary. Great engine, I have a 2.7 V6. If you drive along the highway at 110-120 km/h, then the consumption is ~9-9.5 liters. So I recommend it!

I bought (August 2015) a specialist diesel, 4WD, I gained experience in owning a diesel in the Far East (Toyota Emina), although many are skeptical about diesel. In winter I drive with the additive, there have been no problems so far, dropping 50g into the tank before refueling is not a problem. The throttle response is quite satisfactory, the consumption is pleasantly surprising. In the city in winter with a stove there was no more than 9 liters per 100 km, but on the M4, visiting my parents in Rostov, I kept within 6 liters per 100 km, but provided that I tried not to run more than 120-125 km/h, if I fool around up to 150 km/h it will be 6.8-7.0 liters per 100 km. I went through three maintenance services, on average every 13,000-14,000 km, and changed the front pads at 44,000 km. The rest is still normal, I’m stocking up on consumables and getting ready for the 4th maintenance.

FLAWS:

  • Haven't discovered it yet.

Automobile Hyundai Grand Santa Fe crossover - Good quality car no pretensions to frills

Advantages:

  • Excellent build quality
  • good maneuverability

Flaws:

  • A little heavy

I bought my Santa Fe new in December 2014 at the Sim showroom in Moscow. This car became my 6th in 14 years of driving experience and my 3rd crossover. 5 previous ones were German made(BMW, Volkswagen, Audi). However, it is worth noting that this is my first new car, which of course added some positive emotions.

In general, after a year of operation, the car fully justified the money spent and was not at all tired of it. The build quality is quite good. The cabin is quiet, nothing creaks. Two small children have not yet been able to scratch or break anything. Sound insulation is excellent. No worse than my previous X5. Engine 2.4 petrol (perhaps diesel is a little better heard).

In the first month after the purchase, we went to Poland to ski. On the very first day, everything was covered with snow, and our apartments were on the mountain. Not a single passenger car came up the track with acceleration. We drove in without even skidding anywhere. At the same time, I didn’t turn on the differential lock or anything else.

Externally, the car continues to please the eye and I don’t notice a single flaw.

The only point worth noting is the large mass at not the most powerful engine. Acceleration is a bit difficult (especially after x5). The box is no problem, everything is smooth. Otherwise I also like the car. Equipment: Speaker with additional TV. The sound is quite good. The parking camera also makes a difference. In general, the impression is positive.

Which was based on a completely new platform and had new design. Since 2007, this SUV has grown in size and even acquired a third row of seats in some modifications.

For example, in the USA the car was available with a 2.7 liter V6 engine producing 173 hp. and a 3.3-liter V6 engine with 242 hp. In our country, of the more or less powerful ones, only a 2.7 liter power unit was available. The car was offered with both a five-speed manual transmission and a four-speed automatic. It is worth noting that the model with a 3.3 liter engine was supplied only with an automatic transmission.

Crossovers were available with both front and rear wires. The car, equipped with manual transmission, was offered only with front-wheel drive.

In 2010 . Instead of a 2.7 liter engine, a 2.4 liter power unit with a capacity of 175 hp replaced it.

The 3.3 liter engine was replaced with a 3.5 liter engine producing 276 hp. Both engines have become more fuel efficient, thanks not only to new engines, but also to new transmission settings.

Three reasons to buy:

1. Affordable - Like all Hyundai vehicles, the Santa Fe is priced well below its competitors. Today, older models cost less than 500,000 rubles.

2. Practicality - Very comfortable and roomy. Plus, on the used market, you can purchase a modification with three rows of seats.

3. Warranty - Hyundai offers a unique five-year warranty on its vehicles. Many cars are still under warranty.

Three reasons against buying:

1. Frequent detection of manufacturing defects and factory recalls. Since the start of production of the second generation of the crossover, 10 official factory recalls have been made. Even cars produced since 2010 have had serious problems with the automatic transmission.

2. The 2010 model year is the most problematic. Drivers complain about problems associated with loss of engine power.

3. Transmission. After a new car appears six-speed gearbox gears, complaints began to appear regarding its manner of operation and gear shifting. So complaints come in about very sharp gear changes.

Before you buy:

The Santa Fe is a tempting choice in the used car market because it costs much less than similar SUVs from other brands. Moreover, with similar characteristics and capabilities.

Keep in mind that, for example, the US Government has about 900 official complaints about problems with this car. No one knows how many complaints we have.

Based on these data, the second Santa generation Fe apparently suffers from quality and safety. Some modifications may be dangerous.

The most common complaint about cars from 2007 to 2009. They complain about the sensor that reports the fuel level in the tank to the instrument panel. When he doesn't correct operation The fuel level is displayed incorrectly.

In many cars Hyundai company through your dealer network worldwide has eliminated this problem. So, check with the seller if he is familiar with this breakdown.

Best bang for your buck

Despite the fact that the 2007-2009 Santa Fe is most often recalled by the automaker, breakdowns and defects are minor and do not pose a danger to the driver and passengers. Although, on the other hand, the number of defects identified suggests that it is better not to buy this car without a warranty. But keep in mind that even if the car is under warranty, this does not mean that this or that defect will be eliminated.

Many official dealers they generally refuse to change anything, citing the lack of an official order in the Russian division of the company. But still, considering the low cost, this vehicle is, in our opinion, the best bang for your buck on the used SUV market.

Finally, let's remember all the Santa Fe crash tests that were carried out by various organizations to determine the level of safety of the car. Let’s also remember all the reviews of the SUV in connection with identified defects.

What will be the minimum price: modification 2.4 i (174 Hp), engine 2359 cm? / 174 hp / Gasoline injector, SUV 5d, manual gearbox, front-wheel drive, Base TB24 equipment, driver airbag, airbag front passenger, side airbags, curtain airbags, active front head restraints, ABS + EBD (distribution system braking forces), immobilizer, heated front seats, power windows, power mirrors, heated mirrors, central locking With remote control, dual-zone climate control with air ionization system, trip computer, rear seat back tilt adjustment, heated wiper rest area, 2 DIN audio system (Radio, CD/MP3, equalizer, 6 din.), USB, AUX, iPOD connectors, alloy wheels 17″" with tires, full-size spare wheel (alloy wheel).

ReviewsOHyundai Santa Fe:

Appearance:

  • Good design. The designers managed to give the car solid respectability, at the level of a Mercedes or Lexus
  • Great appearance, smooth lines, everything in moderation, without kinks, acceptable dimensions

In the cabin:

  • The standard audio system, of course, is not the most sophisticated, but the quality is much above average. Clear sound, correct balancing, the speakers do not wheeze at maximum sound and maximum low frequencies. In a word, it’s quite enough for a car.
  • The sound and volume of the audio system are of excellent quality. I especially note the presence of a standard subwoofer and an MP-3 changer for six discs.
  • I would like to note the effective operation of the climate control. Even in the current heat, only 30 percent of its power is enough.
  • I liked the information content and easy readability of the instruments.
  • On the one hand, the maximum thermometer readings are -40, although overboard it is clearly lower. On the other hand, the temperature in the cabin allows you to sit without outerwear.
  • Good armrest design. IN long trips the hand is simply resting.
  • It turns out that heated seats are quite a convenient thing. My wife especially liked it, and now the next car requires exclusively heating.
  • The space in the cabin is excellent. There is plenty of space for five passengers. We traveled 300 kilometers, three people behind us said that everything was fine - the free landing did not bother us at all.
  • Effective range of driver seat adjustments. Forward, backward, height, lumbar support. In a word, it’s convenient and quite acceptable.
  • Seat design for four plus. The front ones are heated and can be adjusted for a comfortable fit. I especially liked the presence of horizontal and vertical adjustment headrests
  • The first drawback of the Santa Fe was discovered almost after leaving the salon: I had to put dark covers on the chair, since the light velor gets very dirty.
  • Bad driver's seat. Even with my average height, when the chair is in the lowest position, my head rests on the ceiling.
  • The extremely poor driver's seat is annoying. The lack of lateral support forces you to cling to the steering wheel when cornering so as not to fly off the slippery leather seat. At such moments you completely forget about driving.
  • Poor quality front panel plastic. Easily scratched and requires constant polishing.
  • For such an expensive car, it would be possible to choose less stone plastic.
  • The toxic blue backlight of the instruments is annoying and distracts from the road.
  • Ineffective seat heating.
Trunk:
  • Original trunk. There are two covers on the floor. Opens and locks. Tools in one compartment. In the other there is another cargo compartment. Cool.
  • The trunk is a topic separate conversation. Firstly, it is two-story. Secondly, the lower compartment can accommodate more things than the cargo compartment of a Qashqai or RAVA.
  • It's good that Santa has adjustments rear backrests chairs Passengers will appreciate this on long trips.

Paintwork:

  • The paint holds up well. After a trip to Crimea and driving seven thousand km, there are very few chips.
  • The paint holds up great. There are no traces of branches or grass left. And you often have to travel through forests and fields.
  • Excellent anti-corrosion protection. I had to wade and swim, and absolutely nothing.
  • Compared to German cars, Hyundai paint is no good.

Controllability:

  • A huge plus is the excellent behavior of the car on highways. Handling is fine, there is no need to catch the car on the highway.
  • I would like to note the car’s decent behavior on snow and ice. I can easily drive 100–110 km on the road, where previously it was dangerous to drive above 60 km.
  • Holds the road perfectly. Once I had to drive for about a hundred miles on icy conditions. Other trucks couldn’t even move; SUVs and SUVs simply flew in different directions. And we drove without straining - like a locomotive on rails.

Softness:

  • It is clear that the car was designed for Americans. You don’t even pay attention to small bumps. The suspension works at its best.
  • On the pits rear suspension hoots softly. It doesn’t particularly bother me, although I don’t like it.

Speed:

  • For a 2.5 ton car, the dynamics are not bad at all. It’s very easy to make a Lada from a traffic light.
  • On the highway I freely pass all the trucks, just pedal to the floor, I only feel the jerk and roar of the engine.
  • Acceleration of 11 seconds to hundreds is clearly not a fountain.

Transmission:

  • (Manual transmission): Mechanics are above all praise. The gear ratio is the same as a Formula 1 gearbox.
  • (Automatic transmission): The downside of the Hyundai Santa Fe is the automatic transmission. The machine is stupid as hell. Full brake after a long drive on busy city streets. And only on the track, if you spur it a few times, the work is more or less adequate. Overtaking is done without problems.

Brakes:

  • The Santa Fe has excellent brakes. In comparison with the Focus (here, by the way), which is considered the standard in the class of up to one and a half tons, this SUV under two tons has much better brakes.

Noise insulation:

  • The 2.7-liter V6 engine with a power of 177 l/s has pleasant characteristics. Works quietly. At idle, on the street, you can’t immediately determine whether the engine is running. standing car or not. 92 gasoline, acceptable consumption. Up to three thousand revolutions the thrust is smooth. Higher - just a jerk. At first, such acceleration even became a little scary.
  • Up to 4 thousand rpm, engine noise in the cabin is completely inaudible. Above is a barely audible sound.
  • Shumka is an A+. There is complete silence in the cabin. Only after 3000 rpm is a pleasant, non-straining roar heard.
  • You won't believe it - the Shumka is super! Isolation 4 with dozens of advantages!!! You can hear how pleasantly the V6 sings above 4 thousand rpm and the bast shoes make a little noise!!!

Reliability:

  • The reliability of the car is very high. After the purchase, I had to travel for a long time around the Urals and Ukraine a couple of times - it never let me down, even taking into account that there are no roads there, only directions.
  • Before Hyundai, I had to drive American, European, and Japanese cars. But Santa only showed good qualities. Over the five-year period of operation, I only had to change the oil and filter, I replaced it once brake pads and light bulbs. The rest works like clockwork.
  • During its operation, it covered 6,000 thousand kilometers on the speedometer with absolutely no problems or breakdowns.
  • Reliability is not high. If you are going on a long trip, take a larger set of spare parts with you. Minor breakdowns are enough. I would like to ask those who have had their car for a long time what breaks down the most.

Patency:

  • Cross-country ability with this high ground clearance at 207 millimeters it’s simply excellent.
  • With a ground clearance of about 21 centimeters, you don’t have to worry about whether the bottom will catch on or not.
  • There is no particular need for off-road driving. But one day my family and I found ourselves in the wilds of the forest after rain. Making his way along the dirt track, he managed to sit on his belly. I thought I would have to run after the tractor, but everything turned out okay. We got out on our own, so now it’s not scary to drive off-road. The car will not let you down.
  • Excellent maneuverability. I experienced it myself. 15 centimeters of snow passed as if on asphalt.

Operating cost:

  • The engine doesn't eat oil at all.
  • Excellent fuel consumption: in the summer in the city 7.9 liters per hundred, on the highway -7. With all consumption turned on with two xenons. In winter, with the same mode in the city, 9.2, on the highway - 8 liters.
  • Consumption was measured at refueling. In city mode, depending on driving style, from 11.6 to 17, and on the highway it managed from 9.3 to 14 liters per 100 km.
  • I was unpleasantly surprised by the gluttony of this car. At a speed of 100 - 130 km/h on the highway it will gobble up twelve to thirteen liters, in the city it will be about 20, and in winter it will gobble up all 25 liters over a hundred kilometers. More details about the fuel consumption of the Hyundai Santa Fe -.

In cold weather:

  • In winter it starts just like in summer. The only time it didn’t start was at minus 25, and even then it was due to my own stupidity - I didn’t wait until the window for warming up the spark plugs on the instrument panel went out. Sometimes you have to add antigel.
  • The car starts very easily even at 35 degrees below zero.
  • Comfort and warmth in the cabin appears only after an intense drive for 20 minutes. On Idling Warming up the engine is practically useless. At subzero temperatures, only one thing helps: I start the engine, turn on all the electrics - heated windows, seats, mirrors, high beam, front and rear PTF. Then I hold it at 1500 rpm for about five minutes and only then go.

Other details:

  • The best quality/price ratio in this class.
  • Excellent assembly, even gaps, no cracks or drafts.
  • Super complete set. Even the basic one is equipped with a multifunction steering wheel, MP3 radio, dual-zone climate control, rain sensor, and light mode. There is a cruise, heated seats, eight airbags, electric exterior mirrors, and a refrigerator. Great!
  • The high seating position and four airbags inspire confidence and peace of mind. No wonder there are four stars according to the European standard.
  • Excellent side visibility. In the huge mugs of rear-view mirrors you observe everything in the smallest detail.
  • I like the xenon light. If I previously heard complaints about the headlights before restyling, today everything is fine.
  • It's sad that a car of this class has a corrector the headlights are on as an additional option.
  • Weak on-board computer– why is it needed if it does not perform diagnostics.
  • The rain sensor is not adjustable. His work is simply mind blowing.
  • Unfortunately, after a while the doors do not close without a kick. Just like domestic cars.
  • Frankly weak rigidity of the body structure. The trunk door must be slammed forcefully if the car is not level.
  • I feel that if I have to sell, then either a naive buyer will need to be found or the price will have to be reduced significantly.
  • There are no words... just expressions... 8 hours for each maintenance... and every hour of service costs 2300! Now count and think!!!
  • After a month of waiting for spare parts in the Hyundai center of Almaty, when I asked why it took so long, I heard the answer - say thank you, it’s not like before they waited for three months.
  • After the purchase, I didn’t drive for the first two weeks, but only talked with the salon employees. The car did not listen to the steering wheel and kept moving to the right. Even after a long period of struggle, it was possible to find the cause. At the service, I changed several sets of wheels, performed balancing, and adjusted the angles. The problem was not eliminated, but only reduced to an acceptable minimum. They say that this is a feature of Santa with R15.

The third generation of the Hyundai Santa Fe SUV with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive was presented to the general public in April 2012. The premiere took place in New York. The car has five-door and seven-door variations. The power unit component can also be selected depending on personal preferences.

The optionally rich model, the platform for which was based on another brainchild of the company - the Sonata, acquired an extended wheelbase.

The idea of implementing automatic system, which controls the level of ground clearance.

The vehicle's cross-country ability has become much higher. These metamorphoses affected only the seven-door variation of the model.

Exterior

When purchasing any car (including the Hyundai Santa Fe), owner reviews help determine the feasibility of the decision to purchase it. Much has been said about the appearance of the new product.

The exterior of the car has become even more attractive.

There is a certain elegance that is not inherent in SUVs, which can qualitatively distinguish the model from the general range.

The unity of the front and rear optics is complemented by the unique shape of the radiator grille.

Enlarged wheel arches paired with aggressive lines of the car body speak of the strong position in life of its owner and emphasize his status.

Interior

Everything inside is done ergonomically and tastefully. The aluminum inserts on the front panel stand out.

The highest quality materials were used for finishing.

Compared to earlier versions, the space for back row seats. Now even moving long distances will not cause discomfort. The car is rich in options inside.

The interior has many details that increase the level of comfort:

  • Cruise control;
  • dual-zone climate control;
  • on-board computer;
  • remote controlled audio system;
  • electric drive and heated mirrors;
  • steering column adjustment;
  • heated and adjustable driver's seat.

All devices are located very conveniently, so the driver can not be distracted from the road while driving.

Safety

High quality handling is one of the most important advantages of the updated Hyundai Santa Fe.

Safety is one of the main indicators of a crossover, which deserves an approving review

Reviews from the owners are direct confirmation of this. The car holds the road perfectly and is a leader in these characteristics among other representatives of its class. It feels great not only on the track, but also off-road.

Safety is another strong point of the model. The exchange rate stability system allows you to keep the car level even in the most difficult situations. A brake system equipped vacuum boosters, which helps to increase the level of safety.

The car is equipped with dual front, side and window airbags.

Active head restraints are used, as well as three point belt, designed for the middle seat of the rear row of seats.

What's under the hood?

The latest variation of the Hyundai Santa Fe does not have a very wide range of powertrain components. They are available in diesel and petrol versions.

Engine power is 175 or 197 horsepower. In this case, the engine volume will be equivalent to 2.2 or 2.4 liters.

The average consumption will be 6.8 liters of fuel per 100 km, and in the maximum scenario - 8.9 liters. The car can accelerate to 100 km/h in 9.8 seconds.

The minimum price for this model is 1,199,000 rubles (that’s what the last one costs Hyundai generation Santa Fe).

Owner reviews will help you judge the profitability of such an investment.

In a higher quality modification, the cost of the car can rise to 1,539,000 rubles.

Similarities and differences with other representatives of the species

According to statements from company representatives, the design of the model contains many elements from the Lexus RX 300 and Volvo XC 90.

But one glance is enough to determine the visual similarity with another representative of the species - the Volkswagen Touareg.

Hyundai Santa Fe is distinguished by increased comfort inside (its classmate Ssang Young is significantly inferior in this regard) and good handling.

But in the Hyundai Santa Fe, fuel consumption is a little high. Same Mitsubishi Outlander looks preferable in this regard. This due to the heavy weight of the model.

Advantages and disadvantages of the model

At Hyundai operation Santa Fe, owner reviews help highlight weak and strengths models. This is necessary so that subsequent restyling is carried out taking into account all the shortcomings.

Advantages

Ergonomics. High ergonomics allow you to focus on the road while driving. All instruments on the panel are located very conveniently.

Small turning radius. Despite its impressive dimensions, the car takes turns very easily. There are also no particular difficulties when parking.

Clearance.

The car has high cross-country ability largely due to high ground clearance. Considering low quality our road surface, this fact is of high importance.

Flaws

Poor sound insulation. At high speed, the noise of a running engine can be clearly heard in the cabin. This may cause discomfort.

Poor sound insulation is one of the most important disadvantages of the Hyundai Santa Fe

Stiff suspension. Bad roads are not a problem for the model. Only then will all the unevenness of the road surface be felt in the cabin.

Limited choice of engines.

The latest version of the model was released with a limited number of powertrain components.

What should I do?

Hyundai Santa Fe is a good and high-quality crossover

Despite some shortcomings, Hyundai Santa Fe is a quality product that belongs to the SUV class K1.

Good handling and sufficient spaciousness allows us to consider the model as a family vehicle.

Hyundai Santa Fe review (video)

Video version big test drive Hyundai car Santa Fe

Its main advantage is a fair amount of car for very reasonable money. Spacious salon, large trunk, high ground clearance plus an impressive appearance - these are the reasons for the success of the Santa Fe. The first generation car debuted in 2001 and became the first all-terrain vehicle of the Hyundai brand. It was sold in Russia until 2010, and in the last three years, when the Santa Fe I was assembled in Taganrog, “Classic” was added to the name. The second generation car, which we will talk about, appeared on our market in 2007. Compared to its predecessor, the crossover has grown in size, received new engines and a more modern appearance.

Officially, we were supplied with both all-wheel drive modifications and front-wheel drive versions. The cars were brought from South Korea with gasoline engines (2.4 and 2.7 liters) and a 2.2-liter turbodiesel. The buyer could choose between “mechanics” and “automatic”. In addition, “Santa” was also released in the USA; and a sufficient number of American “Koreans”, falling into the category of second-hand goods, received a ticket to our market.

Full electrical package and a set of all necessary funds security is available for any copy; and in trim levels close to the top ones, you can find leather interior, navigation and various electronic assistants in assortment.

Currently, sellers are selling new cars at a price of 1.3–1.7 million rubles, but in the coming months, in anticipation of the start of sales of the third generation Santa, dealers may announce discounts. On secondary market the price for a three-year-old copy ranges from 700,000 to 1,100,000 rubles; Thus, you can profit 400–500 thousand by buying a used car. Agree, this is a worthy discount! And yet, let's make sure that Hyundai won't ruin its second owner.

Body and electrical equipment

Minor troubles

Regarding the body, there is only one complaint about the Santa Fe - some examples have spots of corrosion on the roof. However, Hyundai provides a five-year warranty on the body, so dealers will fix such a defect for free. If you notice rust in any other place on a three-year-old car, this is a clear sign that the car has been in an accident.

Other possible troubles include sticky keyless entry buttons that break over time. And although they need to be changed along with the entire assembly mechanism, such a procedure is inexpensive.

Not everything is going smoothly with the electrics either: for example, the complex multimedia system with navigation sometimes starts to freeze. Unfortunately, a simple re-flashing is not enough: you have to change the entire “head”. And this, for a second, is 80,000 rubles!

There are also problems with the brake pedal sensor, which sometimes fails on cars with automatic transmissions. This leads to the fact that the brake lights stop working and it becomes difficult to change gears in the automatic transmission. This disease can be treated by simply replacing the sensor.

Transmission

Diagnostics is required

When buying a Santa Fe, it is worth remembering that this is by no means an all-terrain vehicle, but a crossover built on the platform of the Sonata passenger car. The driver can forcibly block the clutch by transmitting rear wheels 50% torque, but this will not turn the car into an all-terrain vehicle. That’s why, before purchasing, be sure to diagnose the transmission: what if the previous owner imagined himself as a jeeper and went to knead the dirt? In this case, you may end up with expensive repairs.

In general, if you don’t torment it with off-road driving, the Santa Fe transmission is extremely reliable and should not particularly bother the second owner: dealers have not had to change the all-wheel drive clutches on three-year-old cars.

Dealers also cannot remember “automatic machines” or manual transmissions that died of natural causes. In rare cases, mechanics had to change the clutch on cars with manual transmission. The reason for this is the same human factor: the owners burned the clutch in vain on the roads. Change the assembly (disk, basket and release bearing) for about 35,000 rubles. We remind you once again: before purchasing, be sure to check the condition of the transmission at a company station.

Oil in mechanical box according to the regulations, they are changed every 90,000 km, in automatic transmissions - every 60,000. However, when the car reaches three years of age, dealers recommend automatic transmissions change it even more often. Ideally, every 50,000 km.

Engine

Omnivorousness itself

Dealers never had to invest in the engines that equipped the second-generation Santa. They easily digest our fuel - be it gasoline or diesel fuel. And yet, in winter, a diesel engine may refuse to start when the air temperature reaches -15°C. The timing belt on both engines is changed according to regulations every 120,000 km, and drive belts are changed twice as often: every 60,000 km.

In 2010, the Santa Fe underwent a restyling (externally it can be easily identified by the emblem: it peeled off from the upper edge of the radiator grille and moved to its middle), as a result of which the 2.7-liter V6 gave way to an in-line “four” with a volume of 2 .4 liters - this engine has noticeably lower fuel consumption. But, unfortunately, there is still not enough information regarding the reliability of the newcomer.

I would also like to say something about cars from the States that were brought to Russia unofficially. Americans have a well-known disregard for oil changes, which is why we recommend avoiding such “Santas.” From the outside, red turn signals will help you identify an “American,” and the VIN number will tell you comprehensive information about the origin of the car.

Chassis and steering

The warranty won't help

The suspension is generally reliable - both MacPherson struts at the front and multi-link at the rear. Levers can easily run for 200,000 km, but shock absorbers can die earlier: the front ones last 100 thousand on average, the rear ones often give up before reaching 50 thousand kilometers. We recommend that you check them before purchasing a car during diagnostics, because not all drivers drive carefully on our roads. But the Santa Fe, as we remember, was designed on the basis of the Sonata. Changing the struts all around will cost about 30,000 rubles, and the warranty will not help here, since it only covers shock absorbers for the first 20,000 km.

The front pads last 30 thousand kilometers, and the rear ones - 45 thousand kilometers. Brake discs traditionally live twice as long: 60,000 and 90,000 km, respectively.

Are we buying?

It’s not for nothing that the brand’s dealers praise the Santa Fe, calling it a model of reliability. If maintenance is carried out in a timely manner, then even after the warranty expires, “Santa” should not cause much trouble to the second owner. And even though diesel is much more economical than its gasoline counterpart, in regions with harsh winters it will prove untenable. We recommend choosing the gasoline version, which was officially sold in Russia. It is wise to choose a copy without a sophisticated multimedia system. But in any case, be sure to carry out diagnostics at a company service.

Discounts are provided for service and spare parts for out-of-warranty vehicles, the amount of which is determined by each dealer independently.

We thank the Hyundai RRT Piskarevsky dealership for their assistance in preparing the material.
